I purchased this 2002 Jeep Liberty from Affordable Auto Sales and the check engine light was lit. Affordable Auto Sales gave me a due bill and said they would repair whatever the problem was. It turned out to be the catalyst converter. I took the car back to the dealer and they did nothing since the garage I took it to to diagnose the problem turned the light off. When the light came back on, I took it back to the garage and they confirmed it needs a catalyst converter. When I called Affordable Auto Sales, they give me the runaround and no one ever calls me back to schedule an appnt. with their mechanic. I purchased a car at Affordable Auto Sales in Reno, NV and it was sold to me with the check engine light on Jan. 15th(purchase date also).They were aware of this situation and they were going to correct it, so that I could register it- unable to get a smog now because of the chk engine light...and I am unable to register it, as well. Since, this has happened I have been dealing with the dealership to get it fixed but once I got it back the light came on again for a third time. I advised them that I didn't want the car and I want to get out of my loan but they are not cooperating with me...I have filed a complaint with DMV and have came to the conclusion that they are falsifying documents about the smog and the bill of sale sent to DMV saying I bought it in March not Jan. Now the DMV is going after them for selling a car with a engine on and also for giving me two thirty day plates, and they are saying it is up to me to get my car fixed from this day on, but Friday I took it into the same auto place that Affordable required to take it to and it was who they were using and Monday the engine light is back on and now there is a oil leak. I don't see why this is my reasonability to fix it now.Product_Or_Service: [redacted]Desired SettlementAll I want is for them to pay my bank back the money they give to Affordable Auto Sales and they can have the car back, so I can go somewhere else to get a better car. If not I am going to get a lawyer to settle this. I have all paperwork to send you if needed..

Review: Test drove the vech & was told to turn around! Said that was as far as he lets people test drive cars! This corollas trans. 4th&5th gear r ruined

We allow our customers to dive our cars as far as they like. [redacted] drove the car and said that the distence he drove it was enough. The car was sold in AS-IS condition. [redacted] had the option of haveing someone look at the car prior to purchase. He agreed to the terms of and signed the AS-IS agreement at the time of purchase. We do not know what could have happened to the car after it left our possesion.

I contacted them ten minutes after I drove off with the 04 toyota and again last week! They still say there's nothing they can do for me. I'm mailing this form and recipts for the repair to you!

Review: Purchased 1st vehicle in march 2012, 1 month later engine went in the vehicle. Company would not provide a refund but did allow us to purchase a new vehicle. Paid over 6000 for new car lasted one year and engine went(ironically). Didn't even have title in hand and cars no good. How is it okay to take people's hard earned money and sell them junk. Apparently many others have had problems with this company before , including myself. Not asking them to be responsible for the total cost of the car but believe some assistance would be the proper way to handle this. One year and over 6k down the drain.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive money back for this purchase
