I signed a contract with Affordable Fence Last May of 2019. The install date was August 18, 2019. NOTHING has been done. Multiple, specific install dates have come and gone. I have asked for a refund with no response. I have asked to just deliver the materials for the amount of the deposit and I will install the fence myself, with no response. (Getting no response is a very common response from Lloyd at Affordable fence.

We showed up to install the fence and blue steaks did not mark the backyard. That has been our biggest dilemma with this project, we have requested blue steaks at least 10 times for this project and they have only marked the backyard once. This would normally not be a big issue but that customer wants the fence installed within 2' of the Internet line. The fence he has purchased is an 8' fence so it has to go at least 2' in the ground. If we proceed with the install where the customer wants we will hit the Internet line. I have always responded to the customer it might not be within the hour but I have always responded. The only time I did not respond is when the customer said he was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com

I actually did show up. "ON MOTHERS DAY" And I got the fence post set. We charge $25 dollars per post( in the contract) to dig with post holes.

Side note... we will be building ***'s phone later this week, I also feel since talking with *** while I set the post that we have worked through this. There is no excuse for not having your fence installed. I am hoping that when we get it build you will be a satisfied customer despite the lack of communication we have had in the past.

I am rejecting this response because:I was happy to see someone show up and put posts in the holes I provided; however, the job is not done until it is done fully and correctly this week, as he said he would.

We initially paid a down payment in May 2019 for a fence to be completed in June of 2019. We then had repeated excuses and lies for the next 11 months. We asked for a refund of deposit 3 months after the project was never completed and the owner said he would return 80% of the deposit due to a restocking fee. We ordered a basic white vinyl fence that was being used by countless consumers in the community and there was nothing unique about our order. We reached out to the owner again and asked for a full refund and he said he would come the next week. He never showed up. This happened again the next month with the same outcome. He set up another day to come and complete our fence and never showed up then made up an excuse and continued this cycle for months.

We eventually heard in March 2020 that the owner was willing to refund us our money. He said 7-10 business days we would expect our refund. It has now been about a month since that time and still no money. He has said that he has had Venmo issues so he cannot return our money. The Venmo issues have clearly lapsed and still no refund of money. He said in his contract and in text message that he would return our money via check no later than 7-10 business days. That is now long gone. He said he was "doing us a favor" by refunding our money after almost 1 year of no-showing for his project that he promised us he would complete. He continues to dance around the issue now and says he is not lying and is going to get to our refund when "he can" as if he is entitled to the money we entrusted him with after he has long breached his end of the contract. We simply would have appreciated transparency and a refund when the work was not able to be completed in a timely manner.

We wish the business well and hope that they can improve and that they can make good on promises and refund money when they simply cannot keep their end of the deal.

We apologized to this customer and there nieghbor for the time delay. We gave them the option to cancel and receive a full refund or get the fence installed. The nieghbor had us continue with the install and had been completed for about 2 weeks. This customer had asked for a refund. We are happy to complete this transaction and wish the best to our customers. The customer paid via venmo, we have tried multiple times to return the payment via venmo but our venmo is frozen. (See attachment) if this continues to be an issue we will just issue a check.

We hired this company several months back to get our fence done and Lloyd had told us they were about 6-8 weeks behind. We waited and finally contacted him since we didn't hear from him after 8 weeks and he wouldn't return phone calls or messages. He would not answer the question of when he would come out to install the fence that we had to ask our neighbors to call him and several family members to try and get a hold of him. He would keep telling us that they were still behind since they lost workers. Finally we threatened a lawsuit but he said that he would be coming to install on november 27 and be done december 3 so I waited, december 3 came and I contacted him and no immediate reply until he said the weather had slowed them down but they should be out soon. I repeatedly reached out to him with no direct answer of when he was coming out to install the fence. then on dec. 11 he said he was going to be out of town and someone else would be coming out to install the fence but we haven't heard from that person or Lloyd. We honestly thought our fence would be done in the summertime but we are in December now with nothing set up and no knowledge of when they will be coming out. No communication or stability. We feel like we are not being heard and feel like we have been extremely patient.

I gave this company $1,460 deposit on 5/20/2019, to build a fence on my property. They told me me they were going to show up on 8/14/2019 to set up posts and then complete the job on 8/20/2019. It has now been over 6 months and they never showed up to do the job. Lloyd B identified himself as the manager and the point of contact. I contacted him multiple times via text message to keep track and record of his answers. Every time I contacted Lloyd he gave me the run around, excuses and unfulfilled dates . He never showed up to do the job. He refuses to return my deposit back, claiming that the contract can NOT be canceled. I will be pursuing legal action.

We hired Mr. B for a job in July and it is almost January. He is slow to respond or he doesn't respond at all. He refuses to give us a FULL refund for a job he refuses to do! I believe the next step is filling a police report for fraud! Why the heck is someone like this allowed to scam costumers the way he has and get away with it is beyond me. This is the first step in a long process we will be going thought to get our money back from the scam this guy is pulling.

I am sorry to hear that you are displeased with our company. We have had some staffing issues earlier on in the year that have slowed down our production/install dates. Affordable fence does not refuse to do your job, we have been contracted to do a job and we plan to make good on our end. If you wish to do so you can cancel at any time. We do not offer a full refund but will refund according to the contract( 20% cancelation fee) also this time of year we switch the way we install from dates to an excel sheet and EVERY job is COMPLETE in the order it was RECEIVED. thanks. I signed contract with on Lloyd B ([email protected]) for building fence. Contract was signed on July 01 2019 and I got email that fence will be built on 08/28/2019. I got no contact with him for multiple day post this given date. In Aug I got message that we are about couple of weeks behind. I tried to reach out to him in September and I do not get any response from him. I got message in October 14 that we will be starting to Post again this week or next week. No work was done. I got message in Nov 05 that your appointment is coming in 2 days. Again another message on Nov 8th that we will start next week. I am filing this complaint in Dec 11 2019. No work is done yet. When I am asking them to cancel it, they are saying 20% will be cancellation fees. I was looking to cancel this as the work is not being delivered to the end customer. He is extremely difficult to reach with no response in mobile and limited response from Text Message. I need him to either give me the complete money back or complete the Work.

This company signed into contract with us to purchase materials and install a 2 tone vinyl fence on our property. They gave us a bid per the paperwork and contract on 08/16/19. We paid them the deposit that they requested in the amount of 4206.00 which was cashed through our bank. They sent us a receipt of payment with an attached message stating that the posts would be installed on 09/30/19 and that the rest was to be built on 10/07/19. Several calls have been made. They do not return calls or they say they are short on workers to install the fence or that they are out of town. Then a text message was sent and we were told that the company would be installing the posts at our home on 09/18/19 and no one has come to install the posts. This company has several bad reviews after researching them on the internet today where many other people have had the same issues. Had we known that they were not going to keep to the contract we would have reported this earlier. We want the product that was paid for or the funds returned to us. We feel that there is not any intention to complete the work. There is also a very strong fear now knowing that they have been reported if they attempt to do the work that it will not be of quality or completed.

The company and owners did eventually respond and due to circumstances that were out of their control they were behind on projects. The owners were actually very nice people and came with workers to finish this project the posts were installed and then the rest of the fence. They did quality work and I am very satisfied. I am no longer requesting a return of funds and am thankful that they were able to complete this job. From start to finish it was completed quickly and turned out beautiful. Thank you again.

We were first led to Affordable fence by neighbors who had hired LLoyd to do their fence. After saving for the fence we made our check for the downpayment. After a few days we heard from our neighbors (several of them) how they had been waiting for their fence for over 3 months. They had such poor communication and experience they urged us to cancel our fence and get a refund. We called several times to see when we would be put on the schedule with no answer or response from the company. So that is we we decided to ask for a refund. Three weeks after giving our deposit we asked for a refund. We were told that we would have 20% taken off due to restocking fees. Which if you read the bid, we did not sign a contract, on there it did not state this information. But on their website it did. Also on the bid we had a bid for our entire fence and we were going to do one half at the time due to needing to wait for neighbors to be ready. So the bid does not even reflect the half that we wanted. So we relented and just asked for the 80% of our refund to be given back. We have been told by the owner back in mid August that we would have our refund in two days. We have not received our refund and have called multiple times regarding this. He states to us there are many hoops to jump through and he will call us back. Which he never does. We would just like to get our money back. The owner now will not answer our calls or texts, he has also stated that if we keep calling him he will block our number and make it so we are not able to contact him at all.

I told you to not call me multiple times in a row or I would block you. It's not fair to other customer when I am on the phone and you call 10 times back to back. If I don't answer I am busy. I am not ignoring your or screening your calls. This is a business and we operate as such. I told you the last time we talked that I would have to see if you are eligible for a refund. If the metarial is already prepared you can not have a refund. I am fine to give you the metarial for the one side (which is what you have paid for)

Contacted Lloyd in April 2019 to do our fence. They came out and got us an estimate for the property and requested half up-front. All within days I had this money for them. When I talked to them initially he said they were about 2-3 weeks out. Once I paid he told us they were 6 weeks out. I waited my 6 weeks knowing that it was a busy season but when the 6 weeks had come and gone, I didn't have any work done. The next 5 months yielded the same thing. Eventually he came out and did one set of posts. Then he came out and did another set of posts a month or so later. Now were 6 months from when I gave him my down payment and I only have posts. He told me it was a small couple hour job and that he'd be out to do it week after week. He'll tell me he's coming Monday or Friday then just never show up. He's done this for months now.

We have had delay after delay on multiple other projects that has resulted in not only not building *** skate but 23 others as well we are currently working on all of our customers and desire to get them all complete in a timely matter we are taking it one job at a time and not making any promises to anybody I told you that ***, Weird currently doing what we can with 3 employees just like I told you before in a text message that will be copied to this You can complain to whoever you want But it will not speed me up or make me drop everything to come over there because I'm doing what I can there's nothing more I could possibly do than what I'm already doing right now.

I am rejecting this response because:Since we're sending screenshots, heres 4 of the 15 I have. In these you are clearly lying and postponing the job for an unknown reason. You've lied about dates and timelines then never actually showed up. Day after day you tell me you'll come out and still the 2 hour job (your words) isn't finished. Now you just ignore me unless I send a threat to file a complaint. I've done so and still no timeframe as to when the fence will get done. Just more excuses and shady business practices. Refund me half or just finish the job already. There's another filing coming your way at some point, you could have avoided this had you just met your obligations.

We were promised our fence would be installed on August 26th. That has not happened. The owner has not committed to a new date. He rarely responds to texts...and has never returned a phone call. We paid him a $800 deposit in June. We doubt he will ever complete the fence.

Once again I do apologize we want our customers to have a positive experience with our company.

Trust the reviews you are seeing all over Revdex.com and Yelp. The communication from this company is absolutely horrid. We paid a deposit on July 1, 2019 just to get a scheduled install date of Sept 19 (which wasn't at all known before we paid). Turns out yesterday came and went and no one showed up or said a single word to us until I hounded their secretary and eventually the owner, Lloyd. He said they lost some of their staff and are struggling to get back on track. The real truth is that they are ALWAYS behind schedule and almost never talk to you about anything as evidenced by their horrid reviews. I tried to be sympathetic to Lloyd and asked him to get my deposit back and part ways congenially since he has more work than he can handle. Instead he told me they did nothing wrong and I was free to cancel for a $1,400 fee. Wow. How can I feel good about going forward with a company like this? They have $3,350 of our money and we have no clue when/if they will ever come do the work we paid for. And beyond that, what if we need service or warranty repairs in the future? How could we ever trust that it would be resolved? If you're a consumer reading this I beg you not to work with them. You will regret every second of it.

We contacted Affordable Fencing (Lloyd B) for an estimate to build us a 23-foot fence with a sliding 6-foot gate. We had our bid done on July 30th, we received our total cost on the 31st, we agreed on the price, they informed us they we're 5-6 weeks out before they could get the fence installed, we said that was fine and we agreed to pay 50% down to get us scheduled in their books. My husband delivered a check to the estimator, Guy (Lloyd's father), at his home, not the location of the business, and was asked to sign their contract on August 1st, which he was NOT given a copy of. August 8th, I received a text from their scheduler, Ally (Lloyd's wife), letting us know they planned to come out on Saturday August 31st to dig holes and set our fence post and then on Saturday September 14th, they would be back to install the fence and gate. My husband had to schedule the day off work Saturday August 31st so he could be home to take down a temporary plywood fence he put up to keep our puppies from being able to escape from our backyard. By 9:30am, no one had shown up. We called and go no answer. We finally got ahold of Guy to let him know we were on the schedule and no one had come to start work. Finally, Lloyd called back to let us know he didn't know we were on the schedule and that he was out of town for the holiday weekend. He said he'd be able to come over on Tuesday. My husband told him Tuesday wouldn’t work. My husband informed him Fridays and Saturdays work best for us. He offered to come Saturday September 7th around 9am, we requested a copy of the contract my husband was asked to sign via email, mail or on the day they showed up to start our fence. Come September 7th @10:30am, no one had shown up. We called Lloyd, no answer. We called Guy, he said he'd have Lloyd get in touch with us. I texted Ally to ask her if she ever really put us on the schedule as we've paid half of our estimate and not receiving services. She apologized and said she'd have Lloyd get in touch with us ASAP. Lloyd finally called my husband back and stated he never said he would come to start our fence that morning as he does not work on the weekends. He finally agreed to have someone come over the next day, Sunday September 8th, we again requested a copy of the contract as we had yet to receive one, he said he would send us a copy via email -nothing. No one ever showed up Sunday, we called Lloyd, he refused to answer our calls. That night, we got on the company’s website to leave a review, we were unable to do so. We got on Yelp and read that the past 3-4 reviews, the same thing had happened as they had all given their 50% down payment and never received any fence work from Affordable Fencing/Lloyd. All reviews also said they had major communication issues with him and the company. I called him Monday September 9th about 4 times between 2-4pm, he finally answered, and we argued back in forth. I stated we needed our money back or a date, in writing, on when our fence would get installed. He said he would be out tomorrow, Tuesday September 10th @3:30 and he also sent a text stating that. I did not make it home until 3:41pm on Tuesday and he had already left. He sent me a text stating he came by, dropped off 4 fence post and that no one was home, so he left, but asked what time he could come back tomorrow, Wednesday September 10th. He also sent a text asking about taking down our temp fence (picture included) and installing the new fence in its place. We agreed on that and I told him I would be home any time after 3:45pm the next day. He never showed up Wednesday or Thursday. I called him Thursday afternoon and he sent a text asking me to call back later, stated he had to go out of town for an emergency and that he left instructions for one of his guys to get us taken care of tomorrow, Friday September 12th. I responded by asking why he didn't think he needed to call and let us know he had planned to have our fence done, informed him his lack of communication was irritating, I requested the guys contact information so I could know what time he'd be showing up so I could have my dogs locked up as I nor my husband would be home because we would both be at work. I informed him this has gone on too long, he's voided any type of contract he made us sign due to no-showing on dates we were informed they’d be there, by putting us on his schedule and not informing us, I asked he put us on his schedule for Friday September 20th & 21st as we'd be out of town, with our dogs, so they'd be able to get work done or I gave him the option to just get us our money back. And again, I requested a copy of the 'contract' my husband was asked to sign. He didn't bother to comment on anything I asked for and just wrote back, "I'll make sure". I didn't know what that meant or how to even respond to him. So, my husband and I expected someone to show up Friday, we locked up our dogs and both went to work. When we got home, nothing, no one had come over to start any work and no one showed up all weekend. Come Monday September 16th, we never heard from Lloyd or anyone from his company to follow up on the work we were told was going to get done Friday. Finally, Tuesday September 17th, my husband and I decided we didn't want to deal with this any longer and that we just wanted our money back. I called Lloyd, no answer -voicemail full. I texted him asking him to refund us our money. I called Guy and told him Lloyd needed to refund us our money or that we were going to take legal action. Lloyd called back, stated he didn't realize our fence didn't get done Friday as he was out of town and he just found out yesterday that the guy that was to come start the work, quit. He stated he could come by in the morning, I let him know that wasn't going to work for us, nor did we believe him. We also told him, that HIM coming by, doesn't mean anything, that wasn't going to get the work done. I let him know we just wanted our money back and to get his 4-fence post returned to him. He stated he would give us a refund according to how the contract allowed him too. I let him know we don't have a copy of this "contract" so we are not to be held accountable to how his contract is, he stated he was on his way with a copy of the contract, a partial refund and to pick up his fence post and hung up. My husband called our bank and filed a fraud claim on the check we paid our 50% down payment with. Within an hour of the phone call, 2 men showed up stating they were there to pick up the fence post. We told them that Lloyd needed to provide a copy of the contract and our down payment -in full, and then he would receive his fence post. They said they would inform him and left. This morning, Wednesday September 18th, Lloyd called my phone, I did not answer and sent a text stating that any further communication between us needed to be done via text or email only. He stated he would not be providing a refund as the material for our job are all prepared and will be delivered.

we requested this contractor to provide us with a vinyl fence, One of his employees who worked with this company until recently, came out and gave an estimate the day that I requested it. He measured and came back at my request to pick up the down payment of !,700.00. There after it was nearly impossible to contact this company. and when they did contact me it was by text with an excuse as to why they did not contact me sooner, I asked for a phone call so I could discuss the timing of our scheduled work, he again texted me and gave me Alison's number whom I assume is his wife or scheduling person. she finally got back to me and gave us a start date. I tried to call the owner Lloyd B to verify the date and time 4 days prior to the start date. He responded with a text after numerous attempts to call him. Due to his voice mailbox being full I once again left a text. he responded with a text saying he would call me when he git back to the office. he never called me, the following day I texted him again because his phone would not accept a message. his response was that he was out of town and they are behind with their contracts, and would contact me next Monday. after my job was scheduled to start. This company has terrible customer service and gives unreliable information and too many excuses for their lack of professionalism .

We apologize that this project took longer than expected or desired (between both parties).We have offered the customer a refund according to our contract - which was agreed upon and signed by the customer before any deposit was accepted. During a three-way conversation with the customer, myself, and a case manager from DOPL, the customer agreed to the refund amount, but has yet to sign for the certified check. I have also offered to hand-deliver the refund but have received no response to date.Again, we apologize for the delay.Lloyd BOwner

Put a deposit on May 8th. We were supposed to have a fence a month later. We have had nothing but a lack of communication unanswered calls, emails, texts. It is September 18th we still have an unfinished fence. 4 month wait is way too long to wait! We had plans to have it finished first month of summer but now we are reaching fall. Owner says he will be here and hasn't shown or called on several ocassions.

When I called Lloyd, I made it clear I needed a small fence installed within 6 weeks. He assured me that would happen. Here we are over 3 months later and he continues to tell me we’re two weeks out. He required a deposit of close to $1,000 and is now saying he won’t refund 80% of it for a few weeks. He lies constantly about being out of town or finishing up a big job in some random city. I don’t think he would be in business as he employs deceptive business practices and shouldn’t be trusted working with the public.

The installation of vinyl fence and 2 gates has not been done and they do not respond to text messages as they request you send them, their voice mail is full and they do not answer the phone. They took our $400.00 deposit on 7/22/19 and we have not had any contact since.

The gates were professionally installed and look perfect. I am very satisfied with the quality and the function of our new gates.

They will not communicate. They were delayed, which they did communicate once, but they aren't being upfront about the delays. I've asked multiple times when my fence is now scheduled and they do not respond and they do not answer the phone. They only time they responded to me is when I asked to cancel and get my deposit back 3.5 weeks after my scheduled date. The response was "we are about 3.5 weeks behind" which is obviously not true since that would mean they should be working on MY fence right now. My neighbors posts have been sitting for 6 weeks without the job being finished.
My inquiries about adding a gate or mow strip have gone unanswered or poorly answered.

We went through this business to get our fence. They have been very unresponsive and have been over deadlines and are in violation of any agreement made because they have failed to keep their timeline. My home is one of four that I know of with these same issues in the neighborhood that dates back to June

I contacted Mr. B in March 2019 to build a wooden fence at my residence. His company completed an estimate, and I paid him half the cost of the fence on March 19th, 2019. He stated I was on his schedule for April 16th. April 16th came and his company did not appear. On May 16th, he stated that he was backed up two weeks because of the rain. He also stated that he had ordered my supplies and had only received half, so he would let me know when all my supplies were in and then he would install my fence. On May 26th, he said my supplies would be delivered to him on May 29th and then he would get me on his schedule. On June 6th, I asked him if I was on the schedule. He stated that he was out of town and unsure. On June 10th, I again asked if I was on the schedule. He stated I was scheduled for fence installation on June 18th. On June 18th, his company did not appear. I contacted Mr. B and he stated that he was in the middle of an installation job that included seven houses, and he was currently on house number five. He then stated I was "next in line". On June 21st, he stated that he had just finished house number six, and should get to my installation soon. On July 1st, I contacted him and asked when I was scheduled. He said he accidentally scheduled me on July 4th without realizing it was a holiday. He stated he will install my fence "a couple days after the holiday". On July 9th, I contacted him asking if I was still next in line. He said I was next in line, but only for his "wood fence crew" and he would not give me a date when I was scheduled for installation.

At this point, it became clear that Mr. B had little to no intention of being truthful with me about when he would be able to install my fence, if at all. He had been giving me different dates for 17 weeks. I told him that I understood if he was overwhelmed with work, but that he needed to be honest about when he was going to be able to complete my install. He had lied to me so many times, I began to worry that it was all a scam and he had shut his business down and took my money. I asked for a refund. He stated that he would be happy to give me a refund, except he would keep $600 because he was entitled to do so in the contract. A few days later, he stated he would give me a refund, minus $300. I then was unable to contact him for several days, he would not reply to text messages or phone calls to his cell phone or office phone. It was only after writing a complaint on Facebook on July 16th that he contacted me back. He said that he was upset about my Facebook complaint and was willing to give me a full refund. He stated that he never should have agreed to complete my fence, because he does not typically do wood fences. He said I would receive a full refund by Venmo (the service I had used to pay him) within three business days. After three business days, I still had not received my refund. I asked him again about it, he said he had made a "note" to his billing department and they will do it very soon. It is now July 22nd and have not yet received a refund.

we are primary a vinyl fence contractor, we gave Mr *** a bid to put in a vinyl fence and he excepted and signed our contract. when the plans got submitted to the HOA for approval they denied the Type of fence the customer wanted. they gave us guide lines of what to follow( type, how tall exc.) we took those plans and ordered the materiel. my supplier sent out one bundle of materiel and one bundle of wrong materiel (which I told ***) so I had to send it back and get a new one. this happened twice. then once the material was finally right we got *** into the schedule. We had a wetter then normal spring and fell about a month and a half behind on jobs. which bumped *** back and back and back. I have recently talked with the customer and gave him a refund. because I should have just refereed him to another company that deals with primary wood. I believe both parties are satisfied.

We signed a contract with this company and gave a deposit of $3000 on 5/20/19. At this time we were told our install date would be in July. The next day we received a email stating that we are now out till August. We let Lloyd know that we were fine with this if he could have post in on the north side for a gate so that we could have a concrete pad poured. We received confirmation that his guys would be out on 5/31/19. That day rolled around and we didn't not receive a call or text, Lloyd never showed up for the job. Friday night he stated that he would have his team come out on Monday 6/3/19. On Sunday 6/2/19 we texted and called to confirm that his team would be showing up due to the previous scheduled time and not showing. He would not answer our text or calls to confirm we had to call and text obnoxiously to get a response. To which he stated that he doesn't work on weekends and we are lucky he even responded. We asked for a return of our money due to this not happening once but twice. Lloyd charged us a $600 restocking fee for what was supposed to be 4 fence posts delivered. Our actual job would not even be started till august. Will not refund money.
