No refund - seems to be part of the business model
My daughter lost her airpods on or around a Ryanair flight. As Ryanair cooperates with AirportLostandFound.com (ALF) we decided to use their service. ALF advertises the refund of the fee, if the lost item is not found after a certain period of time. I have tried several times to claim the fund. Initially, ALF said the card payment had not gone through. They offered a cheque, which is useless for me. So, I informed my bank account details. Since then they stopped answering my emails. So, I must believe that ALF does not refund at all - it is part of their business model (some would call it fraudulent). Definitely not to recommend.

I have reviewed [redacted] concerns and I have sent out a full refund check to her.Our service did have an option to request a full refund after posting your lost item for overdays, this however was discontinued at the end of Also during that time [redacted] did not follow the instructions properly, which stated the refund request must bemade through [redacted] The same method originally used when the initial payment wasmadeAfter further research it was found that [redacted] simply sent an email asking for arefund and not an actual paypal money requestIn any event, a full refund check has beenmailed to her

[Your Answer Here]In my opinion I should not have been charged AT ALL. And therefore I should be refunded the entire amount(s) that I paid. This company says that it will refund money if they do not find the item. The item was found within hours by the REAL airport lost and found at Newark Airport, and has been returned to me at my expense. There is no way to de-list the item from this company's database, nor have they responded to any of my queries. According to ***, the only reason I was refunded any money at all was because *** interceded. *** told me that they took care of this refund (for the duplicate amount). Nobody undertook to refund the original amount to me. The EWR Airport Lost and Found (the DHS deptat the Newarkairport) confirmed to me that they do not charge for their services, and there was no reason to pay this other firm British poundsAlthough I am trying to be careful about saying anything I could be liable for and cannot prove, I think this company should be investigated thoroughly - not just because of my complaint. As I stated in my earlier correspondence, on the "***' website other travelers have complained about similar incidents. This company in effect provides no service, and is raking in what could be millions of dollars

I did send a letter to Airportlostandfound , *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** with a copy of my email from them with my item#/invoice #, receipt #, a letter explaining I was requesting a refund, and a self addresses stamped envelope to them on 09/**/14, then I waited more then days, I tried to call them, their phone # is no longer in service, I sent an email to them and have not heardanything backI resent out another letter and sent another email, as of today I have not heard anything back from them

My complaint opened because "airport lost and found" charged me $USD stating that I would receive a full refund if my lost property was not found in days After several e-mails requesting a refund they never responded This refund was due in March When I opened the complaint through Revdex.com, they immediately claimed apologies and stated they had issued me a refund check No such check ever arrived! I would prefer that they refund me through paypal I continue to believe this ccompany is committing fraud and have found numerous statements online about "airport lost and found" being a fraudulent company They claim to be based in NY however when the original payment went to them it was converted to Euro's - clearly they are not in the United States.I need to re-open my complaint until my refund payment is actually received
