Review: After loosing my passport at LAX, I used the lost and found service to search for it (per testimonials and the description of the site, many personal items have been found using the service). The fee to list the lost property is [redacted]and the site specifically says that if the listed property is not found in 90 days, the fee will be refunded. As my passport did not show up in 90 days, I contacted the business for refund (via email and VM). I attached the paypal payment proof that I paid the fee and asking them how to process the refund. Even after multiple attemps (3 emails and VM's), I have not yet heard from them or being acknowledged of the emails. Pet attached emails, I used the service of Airport Lost & Found's (hereafter ALF) service without a success to find what I had lost. According to ALF website, if the lost items will be not found in the period of 3 months after sigining up, the serivce cost fo 47 GBP will be returned. Unfortuantely, my item was not found thus was asking ALF for the reimbursement of the cost paid, ALF has failed to respond to email messages I sent to them nor return the phone (the phone was answered by the answering system but did not have an option for customer service, only for reporting lost items, but I left messages anyway because the number was listed as 'contact'.)

As it was mentioned that the money will be returned in case the item will not be found and in my case, it was NOT found, I believe 47GBP should be returned to me. ALF's reponse here does not resolve this. Moreover, it does not make sense to me.

Review: We lost our camera at the airport in Italy and tried calling all airports with no success., so I found airportlostandfound.com on line. On 06/**/14 I paid $115.63 to them. Their website states if the items are not found in 90 days you can get your money back. They had a phone number, address and item number on my receipt. My camera was not found, so after 90 days, on 09/**/14, I sent them a letter to request a refund. Their email says, it will take 30 to receive a refund. I never got a refund back, so on 10/**/14, I called them (###-###-####, but their number is disconnected. I sent them an email and never got a response. I sent another letter and email on 10/**/14, with no response. I called [redacted] to make a complaint, they said you have to call them within 45 days to make a complain, but I couldn't TRY to get my refund back until after 90 days. so they could not file a complain. as of today 11/**/14, I still do not have my refund back.Desired Settlement: would like my money back and my complaint to be registered so no one else gets scammed

I did send a letter to Airportlostandfound , [redacted] with a copy of my email from them with my item#/invoice #, receipt #, a letter explaining I was requesting a refund, and a self addresses stamped envelope to them on 09/**/14, then I waited more then 30 days, I tried to call them, their phone # is no longer in service, I sent an email to them and have not heardanything back. I resent out another letter and sent another email, as of today I have not heard anything back from them.

Review: I left my camera on an Air France flight from LAX to Paris Charles de Gaule on Friday [redacted] august. I logged the lost item with air France and paid £47 to put it on the airportlostandfound.com website. They say 100% satisfaction guaranteed and no refunds refused. However my camera has been located my air France themselves so this company did not provide me with the service I paid my £47 for. I have tried over and over again sending emails to ask how I get my refund. They never reply. I am getting very angry with them. They provide no customer service whatsoever. How can they be allowed to advertise 100% or your money back. Try getting your money back is impossible. How many other people are in the same position as myself. I am hoping that you can help me. Review: This website is a scam. They present themselves as an intl database with a number of services that they do not provide. Once you pay - theoretically so that they contact the airport and airline regarding your lost property -- they ask for more money to do anything. When you don't pay, they make all of your personal info (phone, email, name) public, and when you try to contact them to take down the info and receive the refund they promise before you pay, there is no email, no address, only a phone number that gives you no option other than leaving a message. I just read in forums that other people were victims of the scam as well. You rhelp is appreciated.Desired Settlement: I want them to tale down my personal info ASAP, and to give my money back. Review: My husband returned from abroad and realized that he left an item in Security at the Newark Airport. I called and received recordings, and looked on line and found this company. I was sure I was in touch with the airport, since the name is misleading.

The website states that items can be listed and refunds will be given if item is not found by them in a certain period of time. The item was found BY AIRPORT SECURITY within 24 hours.

I cannot cancel the database listings. I was debited TWICE, via [redacted], each time in the amount of 36 British pounds (=$56).. Nobody has replied to my numerous emails sent to "help" at the website address. An email sent to "[redacted]" at the website address (an address given on the site) was returned as undeliverable.

On the international travel site "[redacted]" there is a travel forum where many people have voiced complaints saying they think this is a scam, or a sham company.Desired Settlement: I wish for a full refund of any amounts debited to me.

This company says that it will refund money if they do not find the item. The item was found within 24 hours by the REAL airport lost and found at Newark Airport, and has been returned to me at my expense. There is no way to de-list the item from this company's database, nor have they responded to any of my queries. According to [redacted], the only reason I was refunded any money at all was because [redacted] interceded. [redacted] told me that they took care of this refund (for the duplicate amount). Nobody undertook to refund the original amount to me. The EWR Airport Lost and Found (the DHS dept. at the Newarkairport) confirmed to me that they do not charge for their services, and there was no reason to pay this other firm 37 British pounds.Although I am trying to be careful about saying anything I could be liable for and cannot prove, I think this company should be investigated thoroughly - not just because of my complaint. Complete waste of money. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They simple took my money and gave me nothing in return. Review: I lost some jewelry on one of several European flights (not really sure) en route to Baltimore ([redacted]) on Sept **, 2013. I filed the appropriate reports and I call every 2 or 3 days to ask if the items were even turned in to lost and found (L/F) or to security so that officials can enter them in the data and assign a tracking #. NOTHING has been turned. The Airport official advised me that it probably wont turn up if no one turned it in w/in 48 hrs. I felt desparate and saw Airportlostandfound.com hoping they could help me. I completed the online lost item report (no contact phone # in the ad) and charged 58 pounds [redacted] on 10/**/13 (invoice # [redacted]. my CC has been charged for $93.40 US currency. The contact # now appears on the [redacted] lnvoice as ###-###-####. I called to ask what is their procedure, etc. A recording asks for my msg and no one ever returned any of my 3 msgs or emails. In an attempt to find my phone, I contacted the local lost and found for the airport and signed up for services at www.airportlostandfound.com. It's been nearly 4 months now and I have not gotten any status updates or response from my paid service to them. I tried contacting them over their customer service number and that lead me to a dead end. You cannot even get a live person on the phone at any time of the day or evening! I even sent them an email message requesting for a refund and did not get any replies from it. I should've have checked the Revdex.com site for their ratings before I chose to use their services. Their ratings show F and have 6 unresolved complaints that apparently are similar to mine. Review: The business allows users to submit claims for items lost at an airport or airline, and it NEVER mentions until you finish a claim that there is a charge for submitted a claim on their site. NEVER! No where at all is is ever mentioned on their entire site. I even tried to cancel the progress of the claim when it finally mentioned the charge but it had already submitted, and I was invoiced through [redacted].The only way to contact them is by email, and we submitted an email complaint, though I am not very hopeful on getting a response or resolution from a site that seems so deceitful.Desired Settlement: I believe they should remove the claim since I wanted to cancel it as soon as I knew about the charge, and cancel the invoiced amount of £37. After contacting the lost and found services of the airline, the airport, and the cab company where the phone might have been lost I paid airportlostandfound.com 47 GBP (about $75) to list information about my lost item. Per the site's listed guarantee I was eligible for a full refund after 90 days if the item wasn't found. The item wasn't found, so I've repeatedly requested my money back. No reply. I've called the number listed on the site, it's an answering service that doesn't allow you to leave a message.

Airportlostandfound.com is another of [redacted]'s scams (he's attached to petamberalert.com and a taxi cab lost an found Web site that run the same scam).Desired Settlement: I want a full refund.
