I find this company to be very accommodating and helpful. As a smaller company that values family and home, it is nice to be taken care of and not be looked at, as just a number. I highly recommend living in an AJH managed community

Older apartments always have problems. The issue with AJH is their awful customer service. The snarky remarks, empty promises and hollow commitments are rampant and I honestly feel bad for the employees, it's obvious it's just poor management.
When I moved in (December) my dishwasher, washing machine, attic door, window screen and my HEAT did not work. I was assured it past inspection... for the life of me I will never understand how those things are all true.
My best advice if you HAVE to live here (my real advice is don't) but if you do, know your rights, because they will sure as heck try to bully you if you complain.

If I could give a 0 star rating I absolutely would. I rent an apartment in Harrisburg from this company, and they should be ashamed. They're running a dump. They don't care one single bit about any of their residents. We've had a broken dishwasher, clogged / broken garbage disposal. We can't even wash our dishes correctly. Our AC unit barely works. When you call the office you will NEVER get an answer. It only rings, no voice mail. This is not okay in anyway, shape or form.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! They are horrible they do not fix anything at all and you can never get a answer from them or they give you the run around. Sam and Yankee are the main ones never returning phone calls or fixing anything

I won’t give AJH management any stars. They are a horrible company! They do not fix problems they only come to collect their rent. I’ve had numerous issues with no number to get in contact with anyone. It was only until I refused to pay my rent that one of my many issues were resolved. I’ve dealt with cold winters and tooo hot summers. I’m now dealing with another issue and that’s the return of my security deposit which the landlord SAM kept giving me the run around to blocking my cellphone number so that I could no longer text or call him. I wouldn’t recommend anyone moving into their properties all they want is your money they don’t care if you’re living comfortably or not.

AJH Management sent us a bill for carpet damage after we moved out of our apartment at The Grand at Neshaminy. The bill did not specify how they determined the cost, did not have a bill due date, did not provide any contact information or information on means of payment method, and also did not account for a $500 pet deposit that we paid. I wished to contest this bill and gain more information on how they determined the cost, and they referred me to speak to the apartment complex manager, Jack, however, they would not give me a direct number to reach him and told me they would leave my number and have him contact me. When this did not occur after two days of trying to reach him, being told every time that he was either not in the office or had just stepped out of the office, I requested his email address, which was provided to me. I sent him an email on 6/13/18 requesting resolution of this matter, and he failed to respond to the email and has yet to call me. In response to this, I contacted AJH Management directly at their listed phone number and left a voicemail message, however, it has been several business days and they have not responded to my voicemail either.

*** and I have come to agreeable terms and the balance has been settled in full, I believe *** is satisfied with this matter as the payment was made right away.

They keep asking for more rent than what was agreed upon in the lease. I've been trying to resolve this for months and they don't answer the phone the property managers voice mailbox is full and they don't respond to emails that I've sent. This is very frustrating and not a good example of how to run a business.

I currently rent from AJH. They do not take care of their property. They do not accommodate their tenants. This is the 2nd time this year that they did not clean up the snow. When we do complain, they never respond. Please do not rent from them.

Since the new owners have taken over *** in Deptford, New Jersey the place looks a mess, nothing is clean! The hallways for each of the many building on the property have NOT been cleaned for over 4 months (Nov, Dec, Jan and February). What a shame the previous owners (Wendy Homes) took great care, they cleaned the hallways EVERY month with cleaning supplies which you could smell how clean and vacuumed the carpets. Now there is dirt, gum and stuck on candy in the hallways. The garbage areas are filthy with garbage blowing all over the place. The leasing office staff is horrible, they are unprofessional and make every excuse to the point of actually lying to your face. They don’t have a system in place to logically take down your maintenance needs in your apartment (they forget to write it down!!! so you always seem like you are complaining). You used to be able to have a group of tenants over in the recreation area, not any more, this area is always locked so what good is it. In the past there was coffee and cookies once a week and with the football season we gathered to watch on the big screen – No more with the new owners. They go home early on Friday and are never there on Saturday or Sunday. This building was open 7 days a week before. Poor Poor Management decisions, they have no concern for the tenants. It seems they are only interested in THEY MONEY! NOT up keeping your property and keeping it in good condition is a disregard not only to the tenants, but to the community and to YOUR INVESTORS. Your investors should come take a look at what they are NOW investing in in just over ONE YEAR. These maintenance and upkeep issues need to be cleaned up before the area becomes a dump and an eye-sore.

I am so disappointed in the management of this company and how they are running the property st ***. I was sold on the fact that they were new and ensured a safe and positive living experience. This was not true on all levels. I have been a tenant at this property for 5 months and nothing has been positive. I was without a working refrigerator for a month, I complained of the bathroom tub peeling and clogging up the drain and today, my bathroom ceiling fell on my head. After repeated calls to the management office without any response, I had to notify both the police department and fire department. Tell me, what type of management office do not have an emergency response team on hand. If this a company you want to entrust to your safety, in a place where you lay your head st night. I don’t think do. I. This case m, “a man’s home is not his/her castle”! It’s just a building that they are holding up with bandaids. The management team that includes Sammy isn’t responsible enough to handle the task of the upkeep of this property.
