[redacted] I called Alarm Force over a week ago to see if someone can come out and give me a quoteThey asked for my name and said oh "you had AlarmForce before back in 2009"I said no I didn'tThey said, did you reside at such and such an address? I said noThey said oh, hold on a secThe passed me from department to department saying that I had an Alarm with them beforeAgain I said I did notThen they put me on hold and kept me there for a while, so then I hung upFrom what it looks like, someone installed an AlarmForce system under my nameThey had what might be my credit card and drivers license informationI presume so since this is one of the ways to get an alarm installedI asked to see the contract but they would not give that out Nevertheless, I received an alert on my credit report and apparently they send this file to a credit agency called [redacted] It shows date of last activity of November 2010, which is illegally past the limitation timeframe by a longshot and the amount owing of just over $Now I may have to pursue legal action against AlarmForce, depending on the recommendation of my lawyerOf course, any legal fees and my hourly rate will be charged back to AlarmForce [redacted]

I recently moved to a new location where an alarm was not required (went from a house to a condo)When I called to cancel my contract I was met with rude and terrible customer serviceOn top of that, after being bounced around between three different departments, I discovered that I can't actually cancel my contract even though I no longer need the servicesMy only option is to pay it out IN FULLObviously, I need to pay better attention to the fine-print (that one is on me), but what kind of company these days doesn't have at least a little flexibility in their contracts - especially when you are providing services to home renters? Besides the lack of flexibility and less than stellar customer service, they charge me monthly for a "guard" that never actually showed up each time my alarm went offAlso when my landlord came to the house and tripped the alarm once, they were okay with him just telling them he was my landlord and not providing the password - did not call me or anything - I only found out when he told meVery insecure - anyone could break in and say something like that, I am just lucky it was actually true [redacted] ***

[redacted] we were customers for over years and experienced all sorts of problemsThey have been ***, [redacted] , given us the run-around, blamed us for their errors, not been straight up with us about what the contract entailed and did not entail, neglectful about details of how we can cancel our service, have [redacted] to us saying that they didn't say things that we have written proof of, [redacted] to us saying that they did say things that we have written proof they did not say, refused to professionally uninstall the system that they professionally installed but rather expect us to do it ourselves and on top of that pay a fee, and I could go on and onSo many problemsSoManyProblemsDo not choose this company if you want reasonable customer service and a no-hassle service that actually offers real security and peace of mind

My mother had AlarmForce until she sold the house and moved into a retirement home in August I mailed back the equipment and sent an email to the company advising them
On June 2016, I received a letter demanding payment for June service
I contact the company at that time and was told that they had not received the equipment, so they will still removing the monthly amount from my mothers bank account
I demanded that this STOP and that they look for the equipment They located with the equipment and advised me that a refund cheque would be sent
August and to date, NO cheque has been received Phone calls to the company result in my being told that "it is in process."

I've contacted Alarm Force because I was concerned because I was fined from the city because their device was acting improperlyWhen I contacted customer service, two representatives hung up on meNow I wasn't yelling or acting crazy; simply, I voiced my concern and since Alarm force didn't agree, they decided to hang up on meBefore my career, I have twenty years of customer service experience and they provided the complete oppositeThe resolution was to pay what the city cited me with and if I cancel I would still have to pay the rest of the balance up until next summer
I just spoke to third rep and she said to pay all what the city cited and the would pay halfWhich is great, but I shouldn't have to pay anythingI'm going to *** next

I have tried on several occasions in the last 8years to cancel my serviceAlarm force told me I would have to disable all areas of my home and return the equipmentI requested that they come and collect their things as they know where it was placed in my homeThat was not an optionWhen I tried calling today, they have no record of me on file, and cannot find my accountI do have an account because they have no problem taking their monthly fee from my bank accountThe only way they will help me is if I have my account numberIt has been years and so I do not know where to locate this paperworkI just want to cancel my serviceAny other company would be able to retrieve your information by verifying your identityI think they make things difficult for the consumer on purpose

[redacted] I called Alarm Force over a week ago to see if someone can come out and give me a quote. They asked for my name and said oh "you had AlarmForce before back in 2009". I said no I didn't. They said, did you reside at such and such an address? I said no. They said oh, hold on a sec. The passed me from department to department saying that I had an Alarm with them before. Again I said I did not. Then they put me on hold and kept me there for a while, so then I hung up. From what it looks like, someone installed an AlarmForce system under my name. They had what might be my credit card and drivers license information. I presume so since this is one of the ways to get an alarm installed. I asked to see the contract but they would not give that out.

Nevertheless, I received an alert on my credit report and apparently they send this file to a credit agency called [redacted]. It shows date of last activity of November 2010, which is illegally past the limitation timeframe by a longshot and the amount owing of just over $1000. Now I may have to pursue legal action against AlarmForce, depending on the recommendation of my lawyer. Of course, any legal fees and my hourly rate will be charged back to AlarmForce. [redacted]

It is cumbersome to discontinue this service and alarmforce staff are not all giving me the same information on how to discontinue the service. I still have not quite figured it all out. Shortly after informing alarmforce that I would be stopping the service they called my home and spoke to my 12 year old daughter and aggressively interviewed her about our use of the service. She came to me in tears saying a man rudely spoke to her on the phone asking her how old she was etc. NOT APPROPRIATE I will have to teach her how to manage aggressive interview techniques used by trained staff.

If you are thinking of dealing with this outfit DON'T, the A plus rating means nothing. I had pet friendly motion sensors installed with door contacts and was also getting cameras installed but they didn't show up to install them. While at work I received a call from Alarmforce saying my motion sensor had been triggered,so not knowing if I was broken into, the police were dispatched, thankfully it was a false alarm. Within the same hour while I was at home the alarm went off twice more forcing us to disconnect the system . I made my call to Alarmforce and they said they would come service the system in 8 days, in the meantime if I am at work and the alarm goes off and the police get dispatched I would have to incur false alarm police dispatch fees at $50 a visit which is exactly what happened , I have the police bill . My argument to Alarmforce was how would I know if it's a false alarm or not if I'm not there due to malfunctioning equipment? and their response was well how do we know. It took them 16 minutes to contact me after the alarm went off ?????I told them I wanted to cancel my contract and they responded No problem we will keep a record when you call back in 3 years to cancel. Luckily the contract have muliple errors including wrong address where the police went first so I was able to get out of it ,as far as customer service I can't rate it because it is that bad.

We had Alarm Force up until August 2009. At that time we cancelled and sent back all of the equipment, with their return labels. Today, March 11th, 2016 I receive a call from a collection agency on Alarm Force's behalf stating we them $ 865.00 as they never received the equipment. They are asking for proof of the return. 6-1/2 years later not a single request, letter or call since than. I am refusing to pay this outstanding amount as it is not a legitimate charge. I have spoke to Customer Service at Alarm Force and the Collections agency that they sent this to. I am not getting anywhere. Is this a scam that they do so many years after?

I recently moved to a new location where an alarm was not required (went from a house to a condo). When I called to cancel my contract I was met with rude and terrible customer service. On top of that, after being bounced around between three different departments, I discovered that I can't actually cancel my contract even though I no longer need the services. My only option is to pay it out IN FULL. Obviously, I need to pay better attention to the fine-print (that one is on me), but what kind of company these days doesn't have at least a little flexibility in their contracts - especially when you are providing services to home renters? Besides the lack of flexibility and less than stellar customer service, they charge me monthly for a "guard" that never actually showed up each time my alarm went off. Very insecure - anyone could break in and say something like that, I am just lucky it was actually true. [redacted]

[redacted] we were customers for over 5 years and experienced all sorts of problems. They have been [redacted], [redacted], given us the run-around, blamed us for their errors, not been straight up with us about what the contract entailed and did not entail, neglectful about details of how we can cancel our service, have [redacted] to us saying that they didn't say things that we have written proof of, [redacted] to us saying that they did say things that we have written proof they did not say, refused to professionally uninstall the system that they professionally installed but rather expect us to do it ourselves and on top of that pay a fee, and I could go on and on. So many problems. So. Many. Problems. Do not choose this company if you want reasonable customer service and a no-hassle service that actually offers real security and peace of mind.
