assure you that we are not trying to be deceitful. In fact, we strive for transparency that's why we pay to provide complimentary CARFAX history reports on every vehicle. You can view them online both on our Honda website prestonhonda.com and our group site prestonauto.com at anytime. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  The Problem is: I ended up with a bad motor after your Preston facility road tested my car for 7 miles for a PA state inspection. A motor with 9,000 miles on it. Seems odd your mechanic would write the wrong mileage on the PA inspection sticker especially since the motor was blown during the road test. I will contact the PA state police/PennDot to find out what they think of your process to write up a PA state inspection sticker with the wrong odometer reading and road test a new car for 7 miles. They are the governing bodies for the PA state inspection process. Subaru has been very helpful with this process under their good will program for loyal Subaru customers. The Subaru master technician explained what happened to this motor because he looked through my driving habits and my MPG computers and knows that it was a case of someone taking the car for a hard joyride. I am going to contact the Pennsylvania Attorney's General Office to see what their thoughts are on this matter.

VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN FOR TEST DRIVE FOR STATE INSPECTION BY A MASTER TECHNICIAN FOR APPROXIMATELY 7 MILES WITCH IS PART OF THE STATE INSPECTION TO ROAD TEST VEHJICLE. WHILE ON TEST DRIVE TECHNICIAN NOTED AND ENGINE NOISE AND TOLD THE SERVICE ADVISOR TO ADVISOR THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE VEHICLE WAS UNDER...

WARRANTY AND WAS NOT SURE IF CUSTOMER WAS AWARE OF THE NOISE. ONCE NOTIFYING CUSTOMER OF NOISE HE INSTANTLY ASSUMED IT WAS SOMETHING THE DEALER DID. SERVICE MANAGER SPOKE TO CUSTOMER AND EXPLANIED IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DAMAGE THE ENGINE ON A 7 MILE TEST DRIVE ON CITY ROADS WITH SPEED LIMITS OF 45MPH BUT A VEHICLE WILL PASS INSPECTION WITH AN ENGINE NOISE. ADVISED TO TOW TO SUBARU DEALERER BEING IT WAS AN OBVIOUS WARRANTY DEFFECT AND COVERED UNDER WARRANTY WITCH IT WAS. IF IT WAS DETERMINED ABUSE THE SUBARU DEALER WOULD HAVE DENIED REPAIRS. DEALER IS NOT WILLING TO BUY VEHICLE BACK OR PRCEED ANY FURTHER.

We will have our service manager call and follow up on this situation.

In response to the recently filed complaint, [redacted] and [redacted] did come to Preston Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to purchase a car for their daughter.  Upon the arriving on our lot they were met by Anthony B[redacted].  The customers then proceeded to show Anthony a picture...

of a car they were interested in purchasing.  Anthony test drove the vehicle with them. This was the only vehicle they were interested in, they knew the stock number, color and options.  At that time one of our Managers, Rory S[redacted] got involved with the pricing of the vehicle.  As a True Car customer they purchase the vehicle $500 under invoice on an in stock unit, which is what they did.  Installation of u connect was never discussed nor was the option ever discussed by either Anthony or Rory.  After finalizing the deal and completing all the paper work we go over the vehicle so they know how to work all the options.  Anthony had the vehicle pulled up front, as we do with all our deliveries to go over the options, at which they replied we don't need to do that, we own multiple Jeeps.  I have received multiple phone calls from both the customer and Chrysler concerning this matter, never was it discussed by either Anthony or Rory that we would install u connect or that u connect was on option on this vehicle.  This is the car the planned on purchasing, this is the car they showed up to buy, this is the car they purchased.  [redacted] General Sales Manager Preston Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

fortunately , you get to hear both sides of the story.  this gentleman bought a 34219 mile truck that was in very good condition.  it was pa inspected by a certified master technician and we spent a little over 900.00 to do all the maintenances to it to make it a front line vehicle. if...

this noise was always present, why wasn't it brought to our attention when he was purchasing it? either way , just so you know what happened, we provide a 90 day engine and powertrain warranty at no cost to the customer on every vehicle we sell but unfortunately he then chose not to purchase an extended warranty .  a little over 3 months later he brings in a catalytic converter in a bag without ever letting us look at the situation in our shop and says it is what was on there and he replace it by spending 160.00 on a straight piece of pipe.  ( I could of had shaffers do the repair for 50.00 if this was the case ), but he wouldn't bring it to the dealership to let us look at it?  its a shame there are people out there like this that are looking for something free rather than doing the right thing .  he is asking for 2000.00 when he spent 160.00     sounds like a scam artest to me.  it just a shame

Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was brought into dealer with electrical issues. Vehicle was involved in and accident and driven for over a month without a driver side fender liner installed causing mud and water to be thrown into BCM module causing corrosion witch is not warranty defect and cannot be replaced...

under warranty.

The problem is the technician wrote the inspection sticker of the mileage that was wrote down on the repair order instead of the mileage that was on it after the road test. Once again after speaking to Subaru the repair was covered under warranty had it been abuse the repaired would have been denied.

The 04 Tacoma is known to have rust issues to the frame which is why I requested the dealership send me pictures of the vehicle. I was obviously concerned with the rust but they assured me that they went through the vehicle multiple times. The vehicle itself was very clean besides the frame and undercoat. Due to Toyota knowing they had frame issues the truck was still covered under warranty for another 3 years. So I purchased in good faith that vehicle was properly inspected and was good to go. Never mind the fact that they didn't see the water pump leaking with barely any fluid left in it. The main issue is that the bolts and brakes are so rusted that many parts would have to be changed out to make the vehicle safe. It's not a big deal when you spend 350 bucks to change out the brakes but when it's 3000 due to rust that's something that should have been known by the mechanic who did the inspection. When my local Toyota dealer statues they are surprised that a dealership would sell this truck with so much rust to the components it's an issue that the mechanic/inspector should have seen and not swept it under the rug. I'm more then happy to provide the documentation that my local dealer gave showing the work that needed to be done. Revdex.com:

Toyota Tacomas have a known issue with rust as part of the Toyota Truck frame rust settlement. We have replaced hundreds of frames at our dealership that failed for rust damage. I understand that a Toyota dealer in New Mexico and California would feel as though this is a lot of rust being that northern road conditions with salt cause this rust to occur. However, we inspected this vehicle and the frame at the time of delivery passed this inspection. Trust us we wish it needed a new frame as Toyota pays us very well to do these warranty frame replacements however this vehicle did not fail the frame inspection. Not only did we send you several pictures, but you personally inspected the vehicle whenever you were here. Lastly, we welcome any techs or inspection companies to come in an look at any of our vehicles for additional peace of mind. You purchased an as-is vehicle that you personally inspected, we will not be providing any financial assistance. Thank you.

[redacted] We did come in with that Jeep in mind, and one of the main selling points in buying the car was that it had u connect. First thing the car is not  the typical stocked Composss it has leather seats, heated, remote start  and the u connect radio all ready, the chip needed to be installed. Second in our conversation the salesman was asked dose this have hands free calling and will our daughter  needs that . His reply was yes this will support your daughter's phone.
