Hello [redacted],
Regarding complaint ID [redacted], my credit card company had been involved in resolving my issue with All About Floors. I have received a letter from them stating that I am not responsible for the charge All About Floors had refused to refund. They ruled in my favor. Thank you for your help on this matter.

Review: All About Floors has yet to refund me $1,050 for flooring that I did not order. I put a deposit of $275 down on carpeting ($550) for a small room. While on site to measure, I allowed him to measure for other flooring only for an estimate; however, I had not yet decided on 1 of 2 floors I was looking at. That carpet cost and installation I agreed to and authorized Todd to order. I made the big mistake of putting down the estimate deposit for the flooring at the same time I put down the deposit for the carpet (12/11/14). My partner scolded me and told me not to tie up money until I decided when to install the floor and the floor I wanted. The next day (12/12/14), I returned to the store and asked that my deposit be refunded and that I was only going with the carpet at this time and that I would put a deposit down on the flooring when I decided to go ahead with the transaction. The owner had argued with me about the refund, but finally told me that he would refund my deposit on 12/19/14 after another job was finished. On that day his crew installed my carpet. To this day, I have yet to receive the refund of my deposit, and he will not return my calls. In summary: I agreed to a deposit for the carpet only; I did not choose a floor nor authorize him to order anything else, so he is not sitting on inventory; finally, I did not sign a formal, binding contract. I only signed a sheet of paper agreeing to the estimates for the carpet and the flooring. He tried to charge me an additional $200 for the carpet because I wanted to cancel the deposit on the floor, saying that he gave me a deal on the carpet because I was going to do business with him on the floor. I told him I would not pay and to cancel the entire order. He then told me he would keep all estimates as agreed upon. I have also filed a dispute with my credit card company. Please assist me in getting my refund. He has all my credit card information and has been able to process my demand for the last 2 weeks. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I want All About Floors to refund me $1,050 of the $1,600 deposit. I did accept the carpet and installation for the agreed upon $550 charge. I am not bound to doing business with them on the floor, because I did not decide on any floor product or final cost. Therefore, there has been no ordering of product and no financial loss on inventory.
