All Good Home Improvements Reviews (21)

3 years ago, AllGood replaced our roof, hung new siding and gutters, the whole deal $$$. When the siding was placed they covered the wiring where the doorbell was. I recently bought a Ring doorbell I would like installed only there are no markings where the wiring is located so I can't get to it to install it. When I contacted AllGood for someone to come evaluate this for any markings they may have left to indicate where the wiring was that they covered up I was told "I spoke with our Production Manager from our corporate office and he strongly recommends that you have someone from Ring handle. If we come out there, we would only be able to cut the siding where you tell us to and there would be a charge." Why would you cover up wiring without labeling? And why should I be charged because they chose to cover up the wiring? Spent 17K for the project and they can't help fix?

This problem was not a service problem Mr [redacted] had structural damage which was taken care of by Allgood and it all turned out fine

First off, we at AllGood take our Do Not Call List very seriously, and do everything we can to make sure we take care of every requestBefore 11/1, we didn't have Ms*** down on our do not call listWhen our marketing representative talked to her on November 1st, 2017, she was told to put the
customer on the do not call listOnce the call concluded, our representative went directly to her supervisor which is our protocol and at exactly 1:PM she was put on our company Do Not Call ListOnce a customer is put on that list, it takes effect immediatelyI also called the customer yesterday, 11/to inform her that she was placed on the do no call listIf there is anything else you need, please let me know Sincerely, Dave G***Regional Manager

Review: I had a brand new roof installed by Allgood in July of 2010 and with this installation came a 30 year warranty on the product and a 20 year warranty on the labor. It has become quite obvious appearance wise that a section of one of my smaller roofs is failing and I have been trying for over three months now to get their people out here to repair the failure. I have been given numerous dates that the work was supposed to be done, only to be called and have it cancelled. Just recently I was promised that it would be done this past Monday July 25th only to have the materials delivered and nothing further. I never even received a call to cancel this time, they just didn't show up. Fortunately I am retired and didn't have to have someone at the house throughout all of these no shows. I have also explained to there service supervisor that them not addressing the roofing issue is holding me up from doing other work I want to do. Them not showing this week as promised was the last straw with their total lack of customer service.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate them doing the repair as promised so that I can have the painters begin the other work that I want to do. They keep telling me that it is going to take two days to do the repair when they were able to completely remove my old roof and install a new roof in one day. Just come out and get the job done and stop putting my job on the back burner because it doesn't involve them making a profit, but is under warranty.

Review: We purchased replacement windows for our entire home from Allgood home improvements in on 04-04-12 to date we have I believe 7 windows replaced due to seal failure. We are currently waiting on 3 other windows that are defective and need replaced. The last batch of windows that we had replaced was on 07/05/13 (which we contacted Allgood on 04/27/13)we were to have 4 replaced 2 were actually installed 1 of the replacement must have been broken in route to our home and was not installed and they forgot to send 1 with the order. We are still waiting on those 2 windows plus 1 more that we reported broken. We have contacted Allgood several times and spoken with multiple people with no resolve. On inspection of our own we noticed when they finished the flashing on some of the windows they secured them with caulking that is now coming loose and left the top of the flashing completely open so water runs straight down behind them. After many many months worth of phone calls we were contacted by[redacted] approximately 3 weeks ago explained our issues and he stated that he would have someone contact us and be out the next week or week after and we still have not be contacted. We are EXTREMELY unsatisfied with the product and customer service. We paid $10,387 total for our windows we thought we were purchasing a quality product and in turn we have had nothing but problems that has not been fixed.Desired Settlement: We would like All of our windows inspected and any defective ones replaced and we would like them to finish the windows properly and completely.

I spoke to Mr. [redacted] on 9/23/13 and we will be there on 9/24/13 to inspect and redo the capping of the windows as needed, his concern were the 2 in the rear of the home a doublehung window and an awning window. As far as the glass replacement I have contacted the manufacturer to see when they can do an inspection of the glass.I hope to hear from them today to give Mr [redacted] a couple dates that may be good for him to do the inspection so we can get the glass replaced as needed. Response:

Original complaint filed with the Revdex.com against All Good Home Improvement on 09/22/13.

All Good responded to complaint 09/23/13 contacted us set up appointment to have someone come out and fix the flashing on the windows that were not completed when installed originally and to inspect windows to see which ones needed replaced.

09/24/13 [redacted] from All Good came out finished flashing on 2 windows inspected the other windows in the house. Mr. [redacted] found 3 windows that the seals failed and 1 window that was broken. Mr. [redacted] took pictures of the windows with all the numbers of them that would be needed to reorder.

09/26/13 9:48 am [redacted] from All Good called said that the 4 sashes we needed replaced had been ordered and would arrive the next week and that she would call us and set up appointment to have them installed.

09/30/13 9:20 am [redacted] from [redacted] windows (the window manufacturer for All Good) wanted to set up appointment to have one of their Quality Manager to come out and inspect the windows.

09/30/13 4:40 pm [redacted] called back set up appointment for 10/04/13 at 3:30pm

10/01/13 [redacted] from All Good called and said that our windows had not arrived yet that she just wanted to let us know and she would contact us as soon as they arrived.

10/04/13 3:30 pm [redacted] a Quality Manager from [redacted] windows came out looked at all the windows that needed replaced. [redacted] wanted to call the office to see when our window sashes that were to have been ordered on 9/26/13 would be delivered. [redacted] was told that the windows from our Service number had never been ordered – he made 2 different calls and both told him the same – no order was placed for our windows by All Good.

[redacted] took down all the information for the 4 sashes that need replaced and he said that he personally would order the windows and they would be shipped directly to our home.

According to Mr. [redacted], we believe that he said there was a problem in 2012 with a bad batch of windows with a problem with the Low E glass from [redacted] and he said he felt when he looked at our windows that they were a part of these windows that were involved in this because of the older stamping on the windows. Our concern is that the rest of the windows will also fail and will also need replaced in the future and we are not confident that they will stand behind their word. ALSO THE WINDOWS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPLACED HAVE HAD THE ALL GOOD STAMP AND THE ONES THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED MULTI TIMES SPORT THIS EMBLEM ALSO.

EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the way All Good has handled all of the issues that we have had and then to find out that they did not order our windows and that we were clearly lied to over and over again. We paid a lot of money for windows and they are not standing behind their products and their customer service is terrible.

Review: Phoned Allgood initially for a new roof estimate on 7/14/2014. Had a salesman([redacted]) come to my home on 07/16/2014. After 3 hours of sitting through his sales pitch, he offered us 3 different quotes ranging from 9k to 13k as being half price. Not believing that to be an accurate assessment, I challenged the salesman([redacted]) validity of my roof measurements and came to the factual conclusion that he doubled the materials required for the job in effect doubling the price before the half off. He was then promptly asked to leave my property. I would not recommend this company for any home improvement job.Desired Settlement: As the only thing that was wasted or lost is my time and thats not refundable, no sttlement is required by me.

Business

Response:

I am sorry for the experience that you had with [redacted] that is not our practices to alter measurements or pricing. We work from a company printed price sheet. The measurements are conducted in the field. Again I apologize for your experience. Sincerely[redacted]

Review: The siding that allgood put on the house, after a wind storm came off twice in 3 months. the first time they came out and repaired the siding within a week, this second time, they keep giving me dates and not following through. This time 3 weeks have pasted and I have spoken to [redacted] several times to be told that they have to have a meeting and she will let me know. Most of the time, [redacted] does not call back. Earlier this week a gentleman called and stated that he would do the job by the end of this week and will call Thursday and let me know if it will be Friday or Saturday. The gentleman, I think Joe, now called at 3:40 pm, Friday and acted like he never spoke to me. Stated that he has a job to do and that he will call after next week. I reminded him that he was supposed to call me yesterday, he was surprised that I remembered him. I then got a run around about how many hours he works and that he has been fixing other jobs. I assured him that I really do not care and that I am filing a complaint and will never recommend them again.Desired Settlement: Replacement of the siding that has fallen off and loose twice now.

Review: I had AllGood give me a quote on a new roof at a cost opf 11,664,the same day I saw a commercial advertising to cut any quote in half.I was not offered this. This company also advertises a rebate which I beleive is just a scamDesired Settlement: I want company to stick by there advertisement

Business

Response:

Mr [redacted] got an estimate right between a promotion change. Our records indicate the Mr [redacted] called for an estimate on 6/6/14 the ad he responded to was neighborhood pride,we went to his home on Saturday 6/7/14 to give him an estimate of 27,300.00 as our list price thats good for a year we had neighborhood pride incentives that if Mr [redacted] participated he was left with a price of 14,124.00 that was good for 30 days.At that time he said to the Allgood Rep that his home was only valued at 25,000.00 he would not do that. On Monday 6/9/14 we started the Freedom day sale with half off. We would honor half off for Mr [redacted] of the suggested retail price. As far as the integrity of the giveaways that Allgood provides to the community you can go to our Facebook page and see the latest winner receiving the 10,000.00 home makeover. We are starting to remodel her bathroom today 6/30/14 for free. I would be glad to help Mr [redacted]. Sincerely [redacted]

Review: Allgood continued to call after coming out to the home with an estimate I felt was more expensive than I wanted to pay cash for. This person stated he had advertising money he could take from Leechburg in the amount of $5000 to reduce the original estimate. I agreed, they began to work strangely placing 3 panels in the back then 4 in the front, four on the side. They promised to place all of my expensive exterior lighting back in the same place and to clean up after they were done. The job took well over a month. One side has the overlapping in the wrong direction. Some lights are just hanging from the conduit and not .fastened to the building, outlets just hanging. Alignment and connection of pieces are poorly done. Window World installed all of my windows however Allgood broke the seal and have sustained interior damage from window leaking. First supervisor was let go according to the second supervisor who told me not to call the owner from the commercial. The se stated he would take care of everything. He began to avoid my calls and told me ** instructed him not to respond to my calls. I was told by reception that he was let go. Before you spend your money with Allgood I welcome you to come by and take a look at their work on my home. Please call, ###-###-#### or ###-###-#### or email me so I can show you the inferior work performed by Allgood and their other companies. Kick plate under main entrance is just a bent piece of metal. The two guys said they were brothers would not show up on time or not at all. Very friendly duo though who expressed their displeasure with Allgood. Twice they had a teenager who they stated was their nephew help on the weekend. Still it took well over a month. There was no workforce team, leader, that responded my complaints. **'s older daughter not the one in the commercial came to my home with the last supervisor I knew, [redacted]. T thought surely complaints would be addressed. Promises only.PLEASE COME SEE MY HOME BEFORE YOU ARE IN THE SAME SITUATIONDesired Settlement: I have another company that will make the installation properly. The in addition will have a install team that will install well under the time it took for Allgood. They have destroyed my security camerea flood lights with the exception of one. I have no confidence in attempting to have Allgood correct the problems. There is no way to determine the subcontractor's ability to perform a professional job. Therefore I am requesting a refund. All contacts to the last supervisor, [redacted] were fruitless

Business

Response:

This is the first time that Allgood is hearing of an issue with the workmanship and materials on this job,and we will repair anything that is under warranty for Mr [redacted].

Consumer

Response:

It's absolutely absurd that [redacted] can respond by saying he was not aware there was a problem wen so many of the fore-mentioined have had several many conversations with me at my home and calls to his office. I spoke with [redacted] about the defective install. Now I will have the necessary repairs and replacements with a different contractor. It's been raining and snowing a lot. Much of the water enters my home puddles on the floor but is ruining my $6000 bedroom (California King Platform), set the tiles, the windows, six of my camera flood lights and sensor lighting is not working after they were improperly plac** where they were before, bent my entry gate by placing material to heavy to support it. [redacted] did try to fix that with his brother but was unable to, broke fence support bracket with same materials.

Final Thoughts

Review: On April 21, 2014 signed a contract for AllGood Home Improvements for new siding and other improvements.Since that time no work has been done, attempts to get a start date for the project has failed. Attempts to email the salesman and one attempt to contract [redacted] also have failed. Mr. [redacted] did call but we where not available, called back, but call was not returned. The only person who would talk to my wife was [redacted], the receptionist. My wife talked to her on a almost weekly basis. Got many start dates that never happened. My wife has started to feel sorry for [redacted] having to make excuses all the time.Desired Settlement: Reason why this is taking so long and why no one else is willing to talk to my wife or myself. When the project will be started and completed.

Business

Response:

I apologize for any delays in the installation of your new siding. This year we had an overwhelming response for this product and all the rain has continued to set us back, however we have you on the schedule to get started on Thursday or Friday of this week. Thank you for your patience and we will do you a professional job.

Consumer

Response:

Good Morning:

Got your message from yesterday. And I am happy to report that the project has been completed.

Mr. [redacted] offered a discount on the price and will shingle our shed at not cost to us in compensation of the delay in getting the job completed.

Thanks again for your interest and time. If you have any questions please contact me.

Review: Had 7 windows installed 4 were sized wrong..none were installed correctly. Absolutely horrible work. My front/living room window they removed a bay window and were putting in a sliding window the window was 2-3 inches smaller than opening so they had to leave in bay window frame so they could install..it was that or no window. They came back 2 days later and put a make shift alumimum trim around the window to cover the exposed wood. The kitchen windows (2)were also sized wrong and they chipped at the wood trying to make them fit. These windows sit so low the weep holes are at and slightly below the sill level so they could not caulk there. But no matter the did not remove the old caulk anyways and smeared new caulk over some of it. They chipped badly one of our window sills never said a word. none of the windows were properly insulated nor was the exterior trim installed. Two days later a piece of trim fell off from one of the windows and was laying on the porch. When I called they seemed genuenly concerned. Sent out the regional installation manager who happened to be in Pittsburgh. I was not able to be at home but he was able to inspect the exterior. I was advised by [redacted] the ownwers daughter that he was "appauled" at what he saw. He did come out while we were at home and appologized for the poor work and was reordering the materials. I was told they are going to redo the whole job. This was June 13, 2013. Nothing has happened. Now I can not even get a return call. I filed disputes with [redacted] the credit company we used for the windows. They closed the disputes 2x based on AllGood saying they are going to fix. I have submitted a 3rd disbute heres hoping. It took less than 5 weeks from the initial order to the installation of the windows. It is now 3 months 13 weeks since the regional install manager was out and said he was reordering the materials..delay tactics to get the $ they are not entitled to.Desired Settlement: replace windows with correct ones installed properly with insullation, trim etc and discount for all our trouble. Preparing for install our house looked like we just moved in. we have curios mounted on the walls on each side of the living room window so we had to pack all that up as well as move the end tables sofas etc in the living room. In the kitchen we had to move the tables and all the stuff off the countertops etc etc. Now we are going to have to go thru again,,,if they come.

After 4 months of issues and lies the problems have been resolved. THANK YOU Revdex.com. The day after you submitted the complaint to the Company the owner was at our home. Seeing the problems and arranging time to have resolved, Turns out the he was not aware of our 4 month battle to get the issues fixed. He seemed truly concerned and disappointed in the fact he was not made aware of the issue sooner. Had we not finally filed the Revdex.com complaint we would still be waiting. Only some minor issues remain that can be resolved rather easily. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: We had our roof replaced by All Good in the summer of 2012. May 23rd, 2013 during a heavy rain, the roof leaked through the vent in our bathroom. I called May 24th and was told someone would call to schedule repair. Never heard back and on June 7th called again...no response. My father called on June 10th and they sent someone on June 11th. He sealed around vent and some exposed nails. June 26th, 2013 the vent leaked again during rain storm in middle of the night. Called and talked to [redacted] and she was to send a Production Manager out. July 11th, still hearing from no one, I left a message for [redacted] at 9:35 am and told her I was contacting the Revdex.com. About 11:20 am I got a call from [redacted] the Project Manager and said he would be out the following week with his crew to figure this out. As of July 24th, he still hasn't come or called.Desired Settlement: I want the leak fixed and the ceiling inside my bathroom fixed.

In response to the complaint that was completed on 7/25/13

Review: We had seamless gutters installed around our home 05/13/2013. Multiple jointed seams at the corners of the home and around the porches leaked following their installation. The first leak was noted, 07/17/2013, 2 months after initial installation. We have had a total of 4 attempted repairs. The leaks have continued, one in the same spot, with additional leaks elsewhere, noted over the last 2 years. They continue to send their staff to repair the areas and nothing is corrected on any visit. A new worker is sent each time. They spend, approximately, 30 - 45 minutes here and leave. The most recent visit was on 07/17/2015. The worker was advised, prior to the visit, by company personnel who inspected a problem area the month prior, that a section of the gutters needed replacing as the pitch was off. The worker outreached me the day before his visit and asked if he could arrive at 645am est, as he was anxious to get home to see his fiancee. He arrived at designated time dressed for a picnic, not work, and told me nothing needed replaced. He stated he sealed some seams that had not been sealed correctly. I advised that I was told he needed to replace/rehang a portion of the gutter, as was instructed to me; and he denied it, stating that nothing was wrong other than a seam needing sealed. He indicated having outreached and talked with the gentleman that did the previous inspection and agreed to just seal the seam. The worker was gone from my home in under 1 hour. I, immediately, outreached the home office in [redacted] to advise that nothing was done other than sealing a seam. I advised of his inappropriate work attire. I advised of him telling me he was in a hurry to return home to see his fiancee. He was in such a hurry that he left and took his coworkers truck keys with him, forcing the company to send [redacted] to my home to tow his work truck 5-6 hours after they completed their job. This is one example of the type of work that has been done on this job. The price of the work, upon signing of the contract was $3395. To finance the purchase, payments are to be made to a credit company. I am paying the bare minimum monthly, in fear that once paid off, they will not provide any needed assistance with the repairs. I owe slightly under $1000 and do not know what to do. The last contact the company had with us was on 07/20/2015, when my spouse was informed that a team was being put together to fix the problem. In the meantime I now have 4 leaking areas (3 of which are new), in addition to the one that has never been repaired; and no one from the company has made any contact to schedule another return date to fix the issue. I am fearing that the gutters where not hung properly and the pitch is off on all corners and will continue to cause nothing but problems. I did have an outside construction company look at my gutters and was told that they were not hung properly. My point of contact at the company shows her concern about our situation; but no one seems to be doing anything about it. I cannot stop payment, as my credit will then be affected. I am not sure what to do. I am paying for a product that they are not delivering as was expected.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to have the balance of my bill paid by All Good Home Improvements and the gutters removed and replaced, correctly, free of charge.

Awful. DO NOT EMPLOY THIS BUSINESS. If I could give no stars I would. I am extremely disappointed with the service we received. My husband and I went with All Good because of the discount they offered if we signed the contract that day and because the salesman described a very reputable business with quality services. We usualy do not make such rash decisions, especially on big purchases like an entire roof, but we did. So our first mistake was thinking that a large business, like All Good would be better than a smaller company in getting our roof done in a timely manner while at the same time giving great product. We were so wrong. We signed the contract at the end of October and were promised that we would be contacted in a couple of weeks by the engineer to take look at our roof to order the right supplies (i.e. confirm measurements, etc.) and that after this we were only a month out (which would be November) when they actually could start the roof and that they would be done in a couple of days. The salesman also boasted about their excellent clean up at the end of the job. All of this was comforting to hear because A) we wanted the roof job to be done before winter really hit and before the arrival of my baby and B) wanted clean up to be excellent because we have a toddler that would be playing in backyard when spring/summer came. Well, much to our disappointment, they did not even start the job until the middle of January (which BIG surprise, was when bad weather started coming and going making it difficult for them to finish the job--this was dragged on for 2-3 weeks versus the 2-3 days promised). Also, the only reason they started was because I called at the start of January and inquired as to why no one had been in touch--they, of course claimed, "O we were just about the call you!". At the time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, was kind to the roofers offering them refuge from the cold and hot coffee. Well, here we are, mid March and our clean up has yet to be completely done. The project manager, Tom, came the day they finished the roof and promised that clean up with be done--he convinced me to sign and pay them in full because payment needed to be in for the contractors to get paid that coming week. BIG MISTAKE. I trusted him and next thing I know the roofers are leaving with the clean up unfinished--my other mistake was communicating directly with the roofing contractors (Roger) in when they would be out next to finish cleanup. After going through a song and dance with them and getting promise after promise (at least 3 times) that they would come out to finish, I finally decided I needed to contacted All Good's project manager directly--Tome. He immediately came out the following day to clean up but couldn't finish because the ground was frozen (so the nails, etc. were stuck to the ground). He promised as soon as it got warm again he'd be out with the magnetic roller to pick up the nails. This was a few weeks ago. I've reached out and now am getting the same song a dance, promises that someone would be out. Noone has shown. This puts into question their intregrity--how can I trust that they even did the roofing job correctly when their clean up has been so shotty and they make false promises and make excuses time and again for MONTHS? I feel so taken advantage of. We are good, trusting and hard working people, not made of money, and I feel so ripped off. Not to mention angry that I've had to take time out of my day to call them time and again after just recently giving birth to our second child--I should not be using any of my time and energy on this. Had they gotten started when they said they would, I wouldn't be writing this review. Hopefully they reach out and finish the job they promised or in the very least don't this to another family. I wouldn't take your chances though...just look into another company.

Review: Worst experience ever had with a home improvement company from start to finish. To start, the initial color selected was not available for the gutters, gutter guards, soffit, fascia, downspouts & pillars. So I had to go thru the process again to select a different color. After waiting over 3 1/2 months without a word as to when the job was scheduled, I finally get a call they were going to get started and it would take 3 days. The project actually took 7 days. The first day only 1 guy shows up and couldn't do anything. So a wasted day off work for me. They finally get started the next day. I had a question on the color of the gutter guards as they were white with the rest of the house being brown. I had to go thru 4 people before I got the issue resolved. During the installation process, the spotlight in the driveway was broken and just left on the driveway so I had to clean it up and 2 of our screens were broken (still waiting for those to be replaced). In addition, the downspout cover was broken, removed & wasn't replaced until I pointed it out. Finally, all that was left was to install the pillars. The contractor showed up without notice twice & I had an issue with how the initial pillar was installed plus the color didn't match. The pillars ended up needing to be painted with no warranty being provided, of course. They did provide me with a can of spray paint. Then during the install, the pillars got scuffed. We also had mortar knocked down from around our bay window (still waiting on that to be repaired due to the weather). But again problems I noticed. Then the first rain we got the gutter leaked. That since has been fixed.Desired Settlement: Due to all the issue I had, I was told that I received the pillars at cost but due to the dissatisfaction with the end result of how the pillars turned out and with no warranty provided, I would like the pillars either repainted or the cost reimbursed.
