All My Sons Moving & Storage Reviews (%countItem)

I paid in advance for 2 hrs labor. At 1.5 hrs I was told I needed to pay more or they would not unload my furniture.
Company quoted me a price for 2 hrs labor. After 1.5 hrs workers stopped working and presented me with a bill for $196. Saying I had to call the company to find out what the extra bill was for. I was told it was for materials and labor. I replied what materials? What labor? We still have half an hr left. I was told the longer I kept questioning the bill the more time I would be billed for and my furniture would not be unloaded until I paid. An hr later, I was still inquiring about the amt. The manager then said I was mistaken, they only wanted $60. I said I am looking at your bill for $196. Long story, after calling the corporate office and getting the same run around and being told, my furniture would be taken to storage for which, I had to pay, I paid the $60. Feeling I had no choice in dealing with such a crooked company.

Desired Outcome

I believe this company should not be on your Revdex.com list as many people like us have been a victim of there malicious practices. I am requesting $110. refund. $50 for half hr labor I was owed when they stopped work plus $60. I had to pay as ransom for my furniture.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

This is terrible company that misleads customers and should be ashamed of this type of business practice.

I have a 2 Bedroom / 2 Bath - 1200 square foot living house that everything was packed in boxes and wrapped. I was quoted $479 for the move. It took 2 movers less than 2 hours to complete this and I was charged $1,000 !!! In fact one of the movers made the comment that they were ½ way finished in 15 minutes, then they began to slow down including going in the bathroom for over 30 minutes. The truck was offloaded in less than 30 minutes!! Also this company needs to provide more training on how to pack a truck and a storage room. I had to show them how to lower the ramp on the truck!! My white cloth chair and couch has to be cleaned from the movers sweat and dirty hands!!

I was warned of this company's practice of trying to up sell boxes and shrink wrap and I didn't fall for it so they got me by milking the clock, fuel charges and travel charges It will never happen again and I will try my best to ensure it doesn't happen to anyone I know.

I have used many moving companies through the years & this company totally took advantage of me in in the move 7-2-2019. I'm not sure if it was due to I'm living in a 55-year-old over community & thought they could scam me. Took 2 men 6 hours to move 1 bedroom set, dining room set; living room & only
14 boxes. This did not even completely move me due to how slow they were!! Totally unacceptable! The office called that morning and I told them going slow and never contacted again. I walked to my apartment faster than the truck drove to the new apartment around the corner so it proves they were dragging it out. Plus I know for a fact they left by two and by their records they are claiming left @ 2:30. My only thought they pulled off and sat in the parking lot to take another hour. Then to top it off after hours one of the Movers called me after 9 o'clock numerous times to get in the complex to pick up something he left at the old apartment. I did NOT feel comfortable letting this man in the gate when he was off after I made a complaint. He kept harassing me he needed items before morning so I let him in.
After my liaison called and made the complaint I was supposedly going to be refunded for packing fees of 151.00 which as of this date has NOT happen. My daughter called as well and both were informed an investigation will be done and NO WORD from MY SONS! I have given ample time to for this company for a refund. Honestly, I should be refunded more due to these men taking their sweet time & for them totally taking advantage of me. I just made another move from Central to complex with double the stuff and triple amount of boxes and it didn't cost as much or take nearly as long so just proves how I was took advantage of!

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I think one-half refund would be acceptable!!!One thing the fuel bill charge could have been eliminated or truly cut in half when you are NOT driving across town.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They issued a minimal refund and we feel they should have done more to make this right and fair for ALL parties, not just for All My Sons. The excuses they have given are completely unacceptable. It should have NEVER taken OVER 6 hours for them to move 1 set of furniture and 16 boxes. All My Sons claim there was more work done than what they actually did, and they claim they did a tedious job so they "could be careful with the belongings being moved" which is a total lie as they scratched and damaged door and floor as they were moving which I had to pay to be repaired! If they still think charging an elderly woman in assisted living almost $1000 to move items within the SAME COMPLEX that should have taken no more than 2-3 hours, then they have lost their minds COMPLETELY! They have yet to even call me personally and APOLOGIZE for how they handled the employee leaving his backpack at my the home, and calling and banging on the door at 9PM to get his belongings back. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED! He should have handled at an appropriate time and the employee refused to take no for an answer! For this business to think that is okay they have also COMPLETELY LOST THEIR MINDS! This is absurd that someone would take advantage of someone like this! I am still not happy with their response and feel more should be done to correct this issue, BOTTOM LINE!

They driver and co-worker drove off when we refused to pay the additional "mandatory" fee of $240 for packing/crate materials we did not need. So I spent my Mother's Day with my kids doing the loading ourselves! I did eventually get my $250 deposit back but no one wanted to talk to me about what happened.

All My Sons moving is the worst moving company I have ever had the extreme displeasure of dealing with! I called a few different moving companies for quotes but did not have time to sufficiently research my moving company choices since I closed so quickly on my home and needed to move asap. They reeled me in with exquisite customer service on the phone during the quoting process. The VP, Tristan, even called and left a voicemail to follow up and be sure everything was going well which was super thoughtful, professional, courteous, and all the good things one would expect from an upstanding company. On the day of the move, the truck with three men in it, arrived at 8:15AM. They moved incredibly slowly from the beginning. I asked the driver if he was in charge and he replied with a very questionable "yes." I then asked the driver if his two workers would be joining us as they seemed to be delayed by the truck for some unknown reason but he said he "didn't know." I would have fired them right there on the spot if not for the extenuating circumstances I was needing to escape from at the apartments I used to reside in. I went with the lesser of the two evils but I never imagined that the devil's horns could get to be so long and pointy. The three of them moved at a glacial pace and finally made their way into my apartment (empty handed), with me a good 20 steps ahead of them. They began looking around as if they were lost. I began to take charge and show them around and explain what all they needed to accomplish which would be to pack all furniture, clothing, and to take every item out of the cabinets/drawers, and to place said items into boxes for the purpose of moving. I found this to be quite aggravating due to the fact that I had already gone over all of this in great detail over the phone during the quotation process and these guys were looking at me like I was speaking some unknown language to them. They opened the first cabinet and saw that I owned several wine glasses and other general drinking glasses. They gasped as though they had seen an alien fly out of the abyss and then stated that this move would for sure take 4-5 hours. I then asked the "supervisor" if this was in fact their occupation and if they had indeed moved anything for anyone a day in their lives before. I also asked how they could surmise the length of this move based solely upon one cabinet full of glassware. There was no response. I checked the time and noticed that it had been 30 minutes since these guys had arrived and there was not yet one item loaded onto the truck. I departed from the apartment and called into All My Sons to complain about this debacle. I spoke with Jonathan who acted like this behavior was so out of the ordinary for these guys and seemed to be completely taken aback that he would receive such a negative report on them. He did adjust the start time to my benefit but the tirade continued on. These guys had the nerve to not only be on their cell phones during this process but they also took it upon themselves to plug said cell phones into my wall outlets making use of my electricity without my permission. I began loading up my personal vehicle with items in an attempt to move things along. This was absurd as the whole reason for hiring a moving company in first place is so that they would do the moving and not me. To top it all off they forgot the bars that go into the wardrobe boxes. Furthermore, they did not even bring enough boxes overall to be able to completely empty the apartment. So yes after this nonsense it still took me three additional days to finally get everything out of the apartment!!! Hours passed and they were finally ready to head to my house with whatever they were able to actually take. Mind you I had two microwaves, and one dorm sized refrigerator as far as appliances go. There was one queen sized bed and two night stands. Also one sofa and one half desk complete with two storage ottomans. There was one cabinet with dinnerware and one cabinet with pots and pans. Two cabinets contained glassware and the rest of the items were no hassle items that ended up just being thrown in boxes in order to save some time. We got ready to head to my house and I gave the driver very easy and very specific directions. My home is new construction and therefore will not show on a map so I made sure to tell him exactly what to do. His instructions were to get on the interstate and head down I-12 and take the exit I told him then take a left at the light, then another left once that road ended, then my subdivision would be on the left and rather obvious due to all the construction happening. That's 3 lefts. Simple right? Well..........The apartment was three blocks from the interstate so this should not have been an issue. Well I'm on my way to my house and I get a call from the driver stating he can't find my address in the GPS. More time was wasted with me telling what I had told him already in terms of location. True to their original word we did not make it to my house until about 5 hours later around 1pm. That's three men, a one bedroom apartment, and 13 miles.....5 hours? Why??? I was so frustrated I had them to unpack everything into the garage with the exception of the bedroom set which needed to be assembled (like a few screws in the headboard type of thing). I paid a $250 deposit when I called in for the quote with a maximum total for everything in the $600 range including said deposit. The driver had the gall to tell me I owed them an additional $1138! I refused to pay this nonsense. The breakdown of charges was outrageous. For instance, they charged me per roll of masking tape and it came out to be more than 15 rolls used. But when I went back to finish moving my apartment I found at least 10 rolls with barely any tape used off of them lying on the floor that I had not noticed during the move. They were intentionally wasteful with product in order to pad charges onto my bill. I called in for like the tenth time and spoke to Jonathan who did remove some of these charges but not nearly enough. Oh and if I had not paid they were going to take my belongings to their warehouse until payment was made! Jonathan said he did not have the authority to make any adjustments further than what he already had done and that the VP, Tristan, was in a meeting but would call me later that evening. Well Tristan's meeting lasted all day because this heist lasted from 8:15AM to 1PM and the day ended with no phone call from him. I called three days later and spoke to Jonathan again in order to find out when I would get to speak to Tristan and Jonathan told me he would "remind Tristan of the urgency of this matter." As I write this it has been over a week since I last reached out to All My Sons and not a word form them. I am not happy with this scandalous organization. I posted this complaint on my FB feed and to my surprise and dismay many friends of mine even as far as the West Coast have had similar experiences with All My Sons and non of us approve. As a veteran of the United States Air Force I moved around a lot and have dealt with some exceptional moving services over the years. This place should cease to exist.

Costs not given up front, movers arrived with added fees in the contract, were unprepared, slow, and brought three boxes instead of requested material
7/17/19, ***, customer representative, attempted to be transparent about costs over the phone but communicated a 250 fee with potential additional charges for added time. I understood that additional hours were to be 109 per hour. I was not given a copy of the contract until the movers arrived. Movers arrived 7/18/19 with my mother supervising. She signed on my behalf but contract had a minimum of $366, which was never discussed via the prior day's phone call. I requested packing and a move, but movers arrived with only three boxes. Movers moved each small item without packing materials. They asked my mother where my packing materials were, despite prior discussions with *** the day prior that I'd need them to bring packing materials. My mother noted that it was as if they'd never moved anything before. Ultimately the process took so long that my mother ended up having to help with the move to lessen the time. I had two rooms worth of belongings and no large furniture (my armchair was the largest item; I was moving from a pre-furnished apartment). Instead of the estimated time, total time was 3.75 hours. When they arrived at my new apartment, they billed for another 1.75 hours prior to unpacking, when unpacking could have been accomplished in under an hour, especially if items were boxed properly. My mother noted that movers were taking "sweet time" and could have moved items out of my apartment (1 bedroom and living room) in an hour, but they'd required payment before unpacking. The new apartment had a designated service elevator for movers with exclusive use of that elevator booked for my movers. After move and payment of over 600, movers called and asked for more money. When my mother asked for an explanation and to talk to manager, the mover hung up on her. This additional cost was never charged, but the attempt alone speaks to the sketchy nature of the company's billing practice. All in all, the entire transaction felt like I was taken advantage of. I was prepared to pay the hourly rate, but the process was taken in the least efficient way, and resulted in a much longer move than was reasonable for my amount of items. My friend, who recommended this company to me, had her fully furnished two-bedroom with kitchen and living room moved for around $500. She lived on the second floor of both locations with no elevator, and had a queen sized bed, couch, and other large items. This furthers the conclusion that I was taken advantage of by this company.

Desired Outcome

I would like to know the average cost for a move like mine (of a person's one bedroom and living room items, with no large furniture, where the second location had an elevator) and I'd like the charge in my bill to reflect what is a reasonable cost. I should not have to pay more due to the lack of preparation, professionalism on the company's part.

This is in response to complaint #18025004. The company's response was not satisfactory. Through I explained at length in private emails with the company (which were not answered), the bill I received was for what should have been a quick job, but which was done without the proper supplies or without any concern for speed or efficiency. This resulted in a far-lengthened process. In addition, several of my items are missing, most importantly all of my plates, which my mother watched the movers haphazardly pack from my former apartment. The company's response reflects a complete lack of personal responsibility for their actions.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Below is in reference to move that occurred on 6/22 - 6/23 of 2019.
We have moved multiple times in the past years and this move was by far the worst in terms of quality and care taken in packing and transporting our items. The sheer negligence and disregard for our belongings is appalling.
I contracted a residential move with All My Son's of Baton Rouge from Bossier City, LA to Baton Rouge, LA. I wanted to use a local company rather than National to keep my business local.
1. The loading crews were two hours late.
2. This was a move being paid by the company I work for. The quote I signed was for $6,839.25 the unsigned quote All My Son's gave to my Company for payment prior to the move was for $7,147.25
3. I paid a $250 deposit that was not reimbursed nor deducted from quote submitted to my company for payment
4. We were invoiced and paid for 95 different sized boxes and dish packs. Only 15 boxes total were used. In fact, the crew ran out of boxes and I had to go to Home Depot to purchase additional boxes.
5. We were invoiced and paid for 14 wardrobe boxes. Zero were used. All our clothes were rolled up in moving blankets, taped up into a big ball, and dragged.
6. I informed both the salesperson and the general manager that they needed to plan for 1.5 days to pack and load. That was not planned, and the crews were rushed to finish to make it to their hotel that was booked 1.5 hours away. And one crew left the unload early to go to another job.
7. I returned the move out house a week later and found multiple areas that were not packed and moved.
8. Multiple items (including glass items) were not packed in boxes with paper but put into garbage bags, belonging to us, to which the crew helped themselves.
9. Bedding wasn't packed in boxes but thrown on top of other items in the truck and then dragged into a corner of the house in a big pile.
10. Nothing was packed properly; many items were just thrown into boxes with no protection.
11. We had over 18 items damaged including our sectional leather sofa, LED TV screen shattered, front load washer and dryer heavily damaged. Totaling approx. $4,275
To date I have not received any refunds from the deposit or over charge on boxes from the local Baton Rouge office. When I call, I have been told someone will call me back, no one does, or that I need to contact corp. office. Corp. office says refund should be handled by the local office.
I submitted a claim for damages to the Corp. office on 7/3 and I have been handed off to several people that all tell me the claim is in process.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $250 deposit. Refund of $308 difference between signed quote and paid quote, damage claim of $4,275 paid

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Jul 19, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. Our sincere apologies for the issues that occurred. Our customer was emailed a claim form on 6-24-2019 and our department received the completed claim form back on 7-6-2019. The claim form for damages was processed on 7-16-2019 and the offer was mailed to our customer on 7-17-2019. A check in the amount of $1,138.17 was requested on 7-18-2019 and will be mailed. The deposit in the amount of $250.00 has been refunded on 7-19-2019 to the card ending in 1866. This deposit was found on a different reference number and was charged on 4-11-2019. Our customer will receive an email providing the information above. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

The sales reps at this company are scam artist. They are nothing but pencil pushers that don't even know how to quote a accurate price on moving my things! They came out to my house
Told me a price then wanted to quote me almost a $1000.00 more then the original price which was told to me by the driver, plus gas and boxes. It's wrong with they do to the guys actually
Doing the work. Do not use this place, you will be disappointed in the end and will spend way more then you plan on!!! The only reason I gave a star at all is for there workers. THE SALES REPS ARE CROOKS!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND TROUBLES!! FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

I was charged $1000 when I was told $490 by their employee office manager ***. Services were not rendered as originally agreed.
Misinformation of practice and services. Everything was a quote with lots of contracts that are based on estimates. Furniture was held on the truck until full payment was made. All information has been provided at the time of pricing and agreement with specification that a two hour move is needed. Going from a storage unit already packaged/wrapped and dropped off. Size of the storage unit along with detailed items of what was in the unit was provided. Took three movers three hours to empty storage unit and an hour to drop it off. Previous company hired less than a month ago packaged and wrapped for 5 hours for $500

Desired Outcome

All my sons were in control of this entire transaction , from moving time it took, to holding furniture hostage, to false office policy and car salesman skills. Contracts are generated based on estimate of things they control not I. A million questions by their office manager of "due diligence " to get an idea and saying "yes we can certainly get it done in 2 hours, sending my best guys three of them," I need a $500 refund since no beds/ furniture were put together as originally agreed on. Also, I was upfront and pretty clear from the start about my cut off time at 2 hours and my budget for the move

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Jul 03, 2019

Thank you for your feedback. Our customer was quoted a verbal non-binding estimate that included a moving team of 3 at $159.00 per hour, with a two hour minimum, one hour travel time of $159.00, and a 15% fuel surcharge. On 6-29-2019 our moving team arrived at 12:45 pm to the storage unit and the job was completed at 5:15 pm. This was a total of 4.5 labor hours to complete the job. The customer was not present and a third party onsite instructed the moving team to complete the service past the two hour minimum. The policy set in place before the off load is to collect the payment for services. We are not able to assemble furniture that was not disassembled by our moving team. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Please see the attached agreements showing a different amount than I was charged for the hourly labor and the fuel charge. Validating that the ethics of this company are dishonest.
As for not being present, I was present for both transactions, the loading with instruction provided, and the unloading.
Company confirmed that assembly would be included as well. I am still requesting a refund. Please see proof of how this company does not provide what is agreed upon.

$100 does not cover the disputed transaction. I am requesting a refund of $568.68 as I was overcharged and services not rendered on the installation portion as it was clearly mentioned from the original email with transaction detail.

This company was hire to move my home. It was maybe 50% completed and thousands of dollars of my property were damaged.
on 4/1/2019 this company was hired to move my furniture from a home I was selling to a home I was renting while I finish construction of a new home. My fiance originally contacted to company because she was "old friends" with one of the managers. After a lengthy initial phone call explaining every room in the house in detail, the guy gave us a quote and we agreed. The job was only completed maybe 50%. Furniture including: back patio , garage (all 2 cars full), closets clothes) and many pre packed boxes were left at the old house. Damage was as follows: They dropped green egg smoker on the counter of outdoor kitchen breaking the stone countertop as well as the egg into 100 pieces on the back patio and just left it there.(we had to call them back and ask them to please remove broken pieces) I have a solid Mahogany bed which was ruined with a CHUNK of mood missing from the headboard. My mattress, which was only a couple of months old was not wrapped and apparently dragged across the floor of the truck is completely black and stained. There were other things damaged as well. My fiance called the company to report the team not finishing and the damages. They transferred her a bunch of time and made it completely difficult to file a damage claim by making he call different numbers, request picture of smoker, which we didn't have since they picked it up. Pictures of counter they broke. I had to immediately fix it bc we sold the house and the incoming family was really angry. We have called back many times to follow up and are told "its in process" . Even though I paid for the service and it was technically my house, they told me they wont even talk to me because I didn't initiate the order or claim. Another way to make it difficult. This was one of the most terrible experience and they have been 0 help and had 0 empathy. I had to hire another moving company finish the job. Company offered nothing to help.

Desired Outcome

I would like a complete refund and all of my damaged and broken belongings replaced asap.

My fiancé , *** made the initial call. I have called this company a handful of times. Funny how there is "no record" even though I called so many times. Right hand doesn't know what the left one is doing.

This is becoming comical. Is this the standard answer? This company has had these pictures since the first week. The only pictures they didn't have were of the smoker they dropped and broke and the broken stone countertop they dropped it on because initially we didn't know we needed pictures. Their driver "***" took pictures of it though and was supposed to give to provide them. I had to replace the countertop for the owners of the house and they took the remains of my destroyed smoker. I have copies of two emails. One to *** at "***@allmysons.com With all of the pictures on 4-17-2019. I also have another one to *** at ***@allmysons.com" on X-XX-XX to follow up about the pictures of the smoker and the countertop. On X-XX-XX we spoke with Chase Morales who told us that "*** has them. He's going to email them to you." *** neglected to do that.

Either this company has VERY poor management, doesn't care or just flat out dishonest. Not sure just yet. I have copies of all emails as well. I also Called maybe 30 days after all of this just to verify and they told me they had everything but it would take up to 90 days to process. I tried to follow up again with them at some point they told me they would no longer speak with me because the move was initially in my fiancé's name. But they sure did take my credit card

I received a confirmation for my moving date on April 30th for 10am may 1st 2019 , they called me the night of April 30th to tell me it would be more like 11:00 or 12:00 that day I said ok . I waited until 1ish and called to see why they weren't there he said running late but will be there soon . 2:30 3:00 still no movers . I called a couple more times same reply long story short it was 6:00 pm when they arrived . I intended to use their services for two hours only and had friends to help me with what would be left . Since they didn't get there until 6 pm my friends had school and work by that time ,So I ended up moving until late that night by myself . I am 66 years old and moved my stuff from an upstairs apt to another upstairs apt by myself . I wouldn't of had to if they ran there business property , it also was my birthday .

My response is , that was insincere .This company told me every time I called the movers would be there soon and a call or for two later they were on their way which was not true . The moving company apologized after I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com . I would believe they are sincere when I receive at least a partial refund .

Thank you for the feedback. The deposit has been refunded back to the card originally charged. Please allow 3-5 business days to reflect on the account.
Thank you for opportunity to respond.

I used this company to move into a condo this past weekend. The quote I received on the phone was no where near the actual cost. I was quoted $360 for a two hour move plus packing supplies. My final bill was $587.96 for a one bedroom move. They tack on fuel, credit card, and travel time fees. They also billed an hour extra for a two hour move. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

They also did not explain at the end of the move that the total they were charging my card did not reflect the $200 deposit I put down.

Threatened to pay the money before off loading from the truck if not they will take stuff to storage and keep it.
Date of service: 01/27/2019 10 AM till 2:30 PM CST
Operations contact person: ***
payment amount: $813.00
Payment Method: Visa credit card
Details:I have used the services of the moving company "All My Sons moving and storage" on Jan 27th 2019.When I made the appointment I as asked to pay advance of $100.The crew uploaded all their stuff to the truck and once we went to the destination they gave me a bill of 8 hours though they haven't started off loading. The operations manager threatened that I have to pay the money to start the offloading if not the stuff will be move to storage. The total charges and bill shown to me at the time of was around $762 and forced to sign on that in order to start the off loading. But later when I see the total amount I have paid it is $813 after they adjusted.Though the crew has worked only for around 5 hours 20 minutes and 30 minutes for transit I was charged high amount. When I tried speaking to the manager they are reluctant and I haven't received the bill so far.

Desired Outcome

I'm looking for the correction the way the business is being done - charging the customer a head and forcing him to pay without finishing the work and also the billing adjustment of $ 100 that was paid as advance.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Feb 08, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. Our customer booked a move with us for a date of 1/27/19. On 1/22/19, we secured a deposit of $100.00 to reserve the move. Our customer was advised that the deposit amount is applied to the total cost of the move. We performed moving services on 1/27/19, as scheduled. Our customer was aware of our policy to collect payment prior to unloading the goods. This information was sent to the customer via email on 1/22/19. The bill of lading that was signed by the customer prior to the move beginning also states the same. Our policy is to estimate the time it take to complete the move and charge the customer accordingly. If the movers finish earlier, the customer gets a credit back. If the move takes longer, we would charge the customer. The bill of lading and receipt were emailed to the customer after the completion of the move.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

I was never recieved an email so far from the company and also never the policy of paying money upfront before offloading was mentioned to me.
Also in my bill the final adjustment wasn't shown to me when I was signing on the tablet.

Thank you for the additional feedback. We will send our customer a copy of the bill of lading via email.

Incomplete service, damage to items and missing items
All My Sons sent 3 guys to move me on November 23rd. Two of the 3 were brand new employees with no moving experience (as per the employees). First the guys were extremely slow. What should have been a no more than 2 hour move, turned in to 4.5 hours. They only had to move me to a different apartment across the parking lot. And only furniture and pictures was needed. During the move, they damaged two very expensive pieces of furniture and damaged brand new wood floors that now have to be replaced. They did not place all furniture as requested. They were told 5 times to lower a triple dresser so it could stand up correctly, however they stood it up on it's end, causing severe damage to the dresser. Two tables and a priceless pistol were stolen.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of all charges due to the fact that the services I was supposed to be provided were not completed and I want to be reimbursed for missing items and damaged items.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Jan 09, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issues that occurred during the relocation. Our Claims Department has received the claim package from our customer and it is under review. Once the investigation has been completed, we will contact our customer regarding the outcome.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Yes the company did contact me regarding my claim. I am currently waiting for them to process and reserve the right to comment on their actions.

NEVER USE this company. There are hidden/extra fees that should be standard, like rolls of tape (used generously by the movers). The move took way too long & was unorganized. When the movers arrived, the inexperienced mover carried 1 box at a time to the truck. Eventually they used a dolly but when you're paying by the hour it adds up. The driver forgot his tools on another truck so I suggested he call the office to have someone bring the tools. I was under the impression the tools were on the way, but 4 hours later he said he could not take apart the bed & would have to leave it. If I had known the tools weren't coming, in that 4 hours I could have bought tools & tried to disassemble the bed myself. During the move I called Tristen (manager) to voice my concerns & suggest room for improvement. My concerns were dismissed. When I received a generic follow-up email asking 'How was your move? I expressed my dissatisfaction. I never received a call back to discuss. This company has extremely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & should not have a positive rating from the Revdex.com. AVOID doing business with this company.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment 1. Acknowledgement that the move could have gone more smoothly with 2 experienced movers. 2. Refund 1 hour of the hourly fee.

Customer Response • Dec 20, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I hired this company to move me and they damage the rental house and my property. I was given false information by Chase Morales (their estimator).
The move date was March 10, 2018. Before this date *** came to my house to give me an estimate. He saw my workout equipment and my refrigerator. I told Mr. these items had to be taken apart and the door had to be taken off the hinges to get the refrigerator out the house. MR. said it was not a problem it could be done. He said they bring their own tools and that I should not have family help because if All My Sons break something they will fix it or replace it. This led me to beleive that I did not need 3rd party insurance. There documents is on tablets and they look over your shoulder while so you feel rush to sign and move on. The day of the move there 5 guys just to move bedroom furniture and workout equipment and I was only quote 4 guys. They reduced the price for that. The guys that came were useless and had to use my tools to take apart my bed and furniture. One guy broke the bed and asked my wife for wood glue and was not going to tell his boss. Then the guys tell me they cannot take apart workout equipment and doors off the hinges. The movers that came said this guy *** makes promises to all the customers that is not true. They cannot do half the things that *** said they can. They scratched the walls broke the brick on the entrance way to my rent house, damage my refrigerator and left my workout equipment in the room because they could not get it out. I did not sign anything because I was not happy with the service at the rent house. When we got to the new house the driver pretty much told me I had to sign the Bill Of Lading and pay or they were not going to remove my stuff from the truck. Again I was given a tablet to sign while trying to make sure the movers did not cause more damage to my property and the new house. The manager came out saw the damage and had another crew come out the next day to try to move my workout equipment. Why removing the treadmill they damage the rent house more and told me not to worry about the damage because ALL My Sons has insurance to cover this stuff. They did not remove my elliptical because they had a hard time with the treadmill. They did so much damage, I had put the treadmill in my garage at the new house so they did not damage my new house. My brother and I took apart the elliptical and moved it to the new house with no damage and luckily I had part warranty on the treadmill and only had to pay the tech to fix it. After it was fix, him and I moved it in the House without any damage to the house. I been talking to *** at All My Sons Corp office in *** Old Mill *** XXXXX
XXX-XXX-XXXX about this issue. They are saying I signed the bill of lading so they only have to pay %0.60 per pound and will not compensate me for my work to fix the damages they caused. After getting an attorney to write a letter they offer to settle with me for $600.00 which I finally said ok because I am stressed and tired of fighting. Especially since I have a baby and full time job. The settlement letter has that I cannot write any negative reviews about the company. I crossed that out and signed it. Now they refuse to settle because I want to have the right to write truthful negative reviews about this company. The estimator gave false information and led me not to get a 3rd party insurance and they did not complete the move that I paid for, they did not get anything fixed, I did the work to get the treadmill fix. The movers that came to move me, were unprofessional, young and inexperience. The estimator and movers rely on All My Sons movers insurance to cover damage not knowing they it only covers $0.60 per pound. I will say All My Sons fixed the rental house properly but only because I called everyday to stay on top of them. All My Sons refused to remove the statement allowing me to write negative reviews from the settlement letter so I have interest since April 2018 building on my credit card for services to fix my treadmill building.

Desired Outcome

I was seeking refund and compensation for my work to get the treadmill fixed, replacement of my refrigerator that was dented and damage and partial refund since the move that I hired them for was not completed. I was willing to settle for $600.00, which I think is a joke since I have dealing with this issue since March 10, 2018, but now they want me to agree not to write any negative reviews or comments on public website and newspaper. I am settle for the damages done to my property not for for the poor service that I was given. I think I should have the right to give truthful review so their future customer can know not believe Mr. Morales and get the 3rd party insurance. Also to let their future customer know they do not take apart workout equipment, take doors off the hinges to remove furniture, etc. I think people should know to take their time signing on the tablet and to read everything no matter if they are trying to rush you.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Oct 31, 2018

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry for any miscommunication on our part in regard to the procedure to move Mr. goods. This has been addressed internally with our team. Exercise equipment can be moved as long as there is no disassembly involved. Any exercise equipment that was assembled in the home requires disassembly before it can be moved. The treadmill was moved the following day. We acknowledged the damages through our claim process and have been working with Mr. toward a resolution. The dwelling damages have been repaired with a contractor All My Sons hired. We have agreed to a settlement amount in order to resolve the claim. This amount is above and beyond the contractual obligation. The verbiage in our settlement letter is there to not only protect All My Sons, but the customer as well. Once we receive the signed settlement agreement back, we will be happy to issue payment to Mr..

The quote we received was definitely not transparent. We were given an estimate of what it would cost for the move and that was it. Once our belongings were on the truck and brought to it's destination, then the additional charges were given. This should have been upfront when we booked them or before they began the move. We were charged for 6 1/2 hours of service that at least 2 of those hours did not involve work. One of those hours, the workers took a lunch break and the other time I was on the phone with a supervisor trying to understand this astronomical fee. To do business like this is very shady and misleading. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The quote was transparent, and the salesman was professional and responsive. The day-of crew were friendly, professional, and efficient. We moved a large household, and were extremely satisfied with our experience with AMS.

I wasn't told I would be charged for supplies like tape & plastic wrap. Before they would unload my furniture from the truck, they hit me with $300 for supplies plus padded the bill with another 3 hours to unload the truck. The movers sat around for an hour while I discussed this with a supervisor. Of course I was charged for this hour while they did nothing except hold my furniture hostage. It didn't take them 3 hours to unload the truck. To top it all off, one of the movers stole my phone charger right off the kitchen counter.
