To whom it may concern,
Hi my name is John, I am the store manager at ALL TUNE AND LUBE- On 5/20/2014 [redacted] came in for an oil change in his vehicle. Upon completion of the oil change I billed [redacted] out. After leaving the premises [redacted] calls the shop and informs me that his radio had stopped working, and the radio was working fine prior to the oil change service. I told [redacted] that it was likely something wrong with the radio, [redacted] insisted that we sabotaged his radio and he was in route to have somebody at our shop fix it, and hung up. The customer came back to the shop at 5:50pm and demanded that we fixed his radio. I again informed him that we only changed the oil on the vehicle and the mechanic would have had no reason to go near the radio. Being that it was 5:55pm by that time and my mechanics were already out the door for the day I suggested to [redacted] to come back tomorrow, even though I already knew it was nothing we did but insisted that I would he willing to look at It the next day. [redacted], being upset, insisted that he was not leaving until his radio was fixed. Tried to tell him that mechanics had left for The day and there was nothing I could do for him that night. He proceeded to insist on staying until the radio was fixed. I gave him the phone number to our corporate office so he could call and file a complaint, it made him more upset when he called the corporate number and realized they were closed already. By this time it is well after 6:00pm {the time the shop closes) I again stressed the fact that there was nothing I could do for him and if he wanted ta return the following day I would inspect his radio, but it is after the time when I am supposed to arm the alarm and leave for the day. I started to run my end of day procedures and [redacted] proceeded to stand in front and block the front door. After asking [redacted] several times to please return the following day and nothing was coming of it, I got the impression that he was not going to let me leave. I called [redacted] county police department and informed them that I had a customer that was holding me hostage. They dispatched an officer, and I informed the customer that the police were in route. After I informed the customer that the police were in route he vacated the premises .The following day [redacted] returned and said that his oil on his vehicle was never changed. Without question I had a technician pull the vehicle back into the shop and change the oil again. Upon completion of the oil change I also had the technician inspect The radio in order to see there was anything that could have possibly caused the radio not to work. The technician did not find anything.JOHN H

I had the most amazing treatment by the folks at the All Tune and Lube of New Castle, DE. We were 4 hours from home and 5 hours from our destination when a caliper bolt busted off of the right front tire. It happened right in front of this establishment, so we really had no choice of what to do and where to go. They had us by the throats, but did not take advantage of us in any way. They were kind and decent. They were quick and expedient. Most of all, they didn't rip us off, when they could have taken us to the bank. Thank you All Tune and Lube of New Castle, DE for a wonderful experience.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and would like a exact date the $800.00 will be paid to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

I used Buckhead Movers in May, 2016 to move my home. The sales person and the moving crew did an excellent job of exceeding my expectations. However, during the course of the move, I had 2 pieces of furniture damaged. Both items were noted by the moving crew and reported to the company. I filed a claim for $350.00 on 6/5/2016. To date, all the company has given me is stall tactics with promises to handle. After waiting 60 days for a resolution, I filed a claim with [redacted] for the amount owed. Now, their excuse is that I voided my claim by going to [redacted] for resolution and repairing the furniture myself. I have not repaired the furniture. The company is just stalling over what I feel is a small amount of money. They have turned a great experience into a nightmare for no good reason.

All tune and lube is an excellent facility. I received my car back from my local mechanic. Thinking that my car was properly serviced. I drove to Ocala within 20 miles the car started to over heat .
At All Tune Lube they corrected the problem my local mechanic had serviced. Justin was very professional, courtesy and knowledgeable

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I didn't arrive at the shop at 5:50. Regarding John statement about holding him hostage is false. I stood at the counter while I was talking to him. Once he inform me about the police coming, I told him I will wait for them to get here. I stood by the door while I was on the phone for a better signal. In fact I spoke with the police once they arrive. John statement is also false about me speaking him the next day because I spoke with the owner of the store. The owner and I spoke with the mechanic and I inform the owner my oil was filter was not change. John statement is false about looking at my radio because he said they don't have the tools to look at it. John full statement is false.

Review: My wife took in her car for a radiator flush. We were quoted a price of $79.90. The [redacted] later called and told my wife that the overflow reservoir needed to be removed to clean it out and that it would be an additional $47.93. When I heard this, I was of course upset. A radiator flush should include the overflow bottle. It is part of the system. So when we went to the business, I confronted the manager and asked why the bottle wasn't included in the flush. He told me that it was "extra dirty" and had to be removed to get it cleaned. He said that this was for the labor. I said that I was paying for a radiator flush and no matter what it takes, they advertised a specific price. This should include all parts of the system. Yes, my wife didn't specifically ask what all was included in a radiator flush as she should have. But to me this is a scam. The only reason we even took the car to this business is that it was listed on the Revdex.com website as a Revdex.com accredited business.Desired Settlement: I want the over charge and additional tax refunded. The invoice showed $24.90 for anti-freeze & $55 for the flush. Plus whatever tax, that is acceptable. I want the $47.93 for the removal of the reservoir and the $10.23 listed for supplies on the invoice parts refunded. Parts, what parts? The anti-freeze was already listed on the invoice, but no other parts. It should have been $79.90 plus tax for just the flush, as quoted. Instead it was $139.92. So I should be refunded approximately $58.16 minus whatever tax is required.

Response:

In response to [redacted] complaint. First I do not have an advertised price for a radiator flush. I have attached the recent [redacted] ad. Martha Brooks called to ask the price for a radiator flush and I told her that the price was $79.90, She never mentioned over the phone that there was something in the coolant so I gave her the standard price for a flush. When she dropped off the vehicle 10/14/2013 I asked if she needed the full flush or just the drain & fill. At this time she told me that there was oil in the coolant. When we looked at the vehicle, the technician saw that there was an oil like subsistence in the coolant reservoir. It also appeared that stop leak had also been added. Before starting on the vehicle, Jon the technician told me that the sludge in the reservoir was too thick to drain out and it would have to be removed in order to clean this sludge out. Before proceeding with any work, I called [redacted] and informed her that the coolant reservoir would have to be removed and it would be an additional amount to do that. I told her the total service would run $139.92 and she approved the work to be done for that price. The Alldata labor guide calls for .6 hours to remove and re install the coolant reservoir. I charged her .5 Hours. For a typical coolant flush, the reservoir does not need to be removed. The bottom drain line can be removed and rinsed out that way. With this vehicle, the sludge was too thick to do that. As for the 10.23 for shop supplies, we charge a percentage for all services as do all shops and it is posted at the shop.

Thank You,

Review: Went to get a oil change and state inspection when after failing I was to replace two front brake pads two front rotors and a right tire rod...when I did not get the repairs done by them my master brake cylinder cap became missing...so after getting the repairs done elsewhere returning to the shop to get my state sticker and confront them about the missing cap I was told by a rep named [redacted] that I was waisting my time and there was nothing he could do....in closing my vehicle could not pass inspection without this cap even though I had the repairs done...

Note: I had a cap when I arrived...if I didnt it would've been noted by the mechanic of the items needed for replacement to pass the inspection which is was not...Desired Settlement: To be reinbursed for the purchase of a new cap $20.00

Business

Response:

[redacted] brought his vehicle into the shop for a state inspection and oil change. The vehicle needed front brake pads and an outer tie rod end to pass inspection. [redacted] took a rejection and came back a few days later for a re-inspection with the work done by someone else. He told me that the brake fluid was missing. We did the oil change and inspection which does not involve removing the master cylinder cap. Someone else did the brake work on the vehicle and should have taken the cap off the master cylinder. If we had any reason to remove his brake fluid cap, I would have been happy to have gotten another for him.Since the brake work was done somewhere else I do not feel that we were responsible for the cap being missing.

Thank You,

Review: I am a businessman travelling overseas back and forth to the USA. My wife lives in the USA. On May 13, she took the family car (Jeep Grand Cherokee) to the All Tune & Lube repair shop complaining about 1. engine overheating (check engine on), 2. noises coming from under the car. ATL (All Tune & Lube) promised to fix the and ATL charged my wife 511.79$ for the service. One week later and when I was still overseas, my wife told me that the issues were not fixed. She could not drive the car. When I came back to the US, on August 18 I took the car to ATL and they told me that they missed an issue and that they would fix for an additionnal 408.33$ which I paid. I took the car back and it ride properly for one week or so and started to pose the same problems, especially the noise from under the car. So I went back to the shop and the manager promised to fix the car once for all but still I had to pay for 480.99$ which I paid. When I took back the car, the noise was still there and getting worse. I went back to the shop to complain and the manager called the police on me. He later called me back asking that I bring back the car for him to fix. I drove the car back to the shop and for 10 days, he kept the car without doing ANY REPAIR to car , just giving false promises. I decided to take back on his advice telling me that the car still runs fine, that it was not a major issue, that I could drive it while he was shopping for the right parts.

On september 23, I left the USA for a business trip to Europe. Today, september 27, I got a call from my wife telling me that the engine broke while she was driving with all my four kids to an appointment with the Immigration Services in [redacted]. The had to be towed back in [redacted] and here we are with non means of transportation.

Furthermore, when checking the invoices that my wife and myself paid, I noticed that ATL was overcharging me for their service in the tunes of 10 fold the normal price. ATL simply took advantage of my wife being an immigrant in the USA and myself being overseas.Desired Settlement: I would like

1.my car be repaired by a professional shop repair (not ATL) at ATL cost

2. be compensated for all the charges that my wife and family incur while they don't have any means of transportation.

3. be compensated for the stress and inconvenience that ATL has caused my family.

Dear [redacted]

Review: I called on 5/19/2014 Monday morning for a oil change. The person on the phone said I can bring my car in at 4:30 pm that day since they were busy in the morning. I took my car there and John H[redacted] said he can't take my car today. I told him I made a appointment this morning for 4:30 pm. John said there is nothing he can do today. I can bring it back tomorrow around the same time. I brought my car back the next day 5/20/2014 at 4:30 pm. My car got service and everything was working fine in my car. I get my car back and I notice after driving off my display on the cd player is not working. I called the shop about the issue as I'm driving back to the shop. John said the mechanic (Elias P[redacted]) left already. I walk in the shop at 5:25 pm and I starting explaining the issue. I was not yelling or anything. John said we don't touch cd player. I told I understand that, but my display on my cd player was working fine before I handed my keys over to you. He said they can't do anything about it. I informed him someone need to look at my car because I had no issue with it prior to the oil change. He said no one is here to look at my car. I told him he can't be the only person working at this time. He said he was and he is leaving at 6:00 pm. He said I can bring my car back tomorrow and they can look at it then. I ask for the manager. John said he is the manager. I ask for someone above him. He said the owner (Harron M[redacted]). I ask to speak with him. John said he is not available. I ask can you call him. He said he is not available. I inform him this is unacceptable that no one is available to look at my car, and you are the only one here now before you close. He call the police to have me escorted off the perimisses because I was demanding help. I step outside to speak with my father over the phone. Once the police officer arrived, I informed him the issue. The officer said the workers left, and to bring my car back tomorrow. I inspected my car while I was at home and notice my oil filter has not been change. I took my car back the next day and the owner was there. I spoke with the owner and he got the mechanic. The owner ask the mechanic did he perform the oil change. The mechanic told the owner he don't know. The owner ask again and gave the make and model of the car. The mechanic said he don't recall. The ask owner ask about my display on the cd player. The mechanic said he didn't touch anything. The owner ask about the oil change again. The mechanic said he top off the oil. The owner told the mechanic to do a proper oil change on my car. The owner informed me that the mechanic said he didn't touch it, so he can give me a free oil change for next time. I told that don't fix my issue about the display on my cd player. The owner inform me I can speak with the mechanic if I would like. I spoke with him and he says the same thing. I told him I don't want to get you in trouble, so tell me what you did. He said he didn't do anything. I call the corporate number and spoke with Ray W[redacted]. Ray inform he will have someone call the store about the issue, and he will call me back. I didn't get a call back, so I decided to call again. Ray inform me the person never called and he is not sure why. Ray said he will get on the issue and call me back. I didn't receive a call back from Ray. This is the reason for my complaint.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed for the cost of getting my display work on by another shop.

Review: I dropped my car off 12/3/2013 and advised the associate I was in a rush because I had to go back to work. I also informed not to perform any work on the truck until I get an estimate because I wanted to make sure I could afford the work. I told the mechanic that I needed brakes but my main concern was the engine making noise. We turned on the car and the engine was not making noise at the time. He said he would drive it around to determine what it would be. I informed to call me as soon as he could after he determines what the issue was. I did not receive a phone call. I called after the third day, Friday 12/6/013 to follow up. The mechanic informed that he did not have the time to look at it yet but will give me a call that Friday afternoon for an update. He then called me back and said he took a look and would have his boss take a second look because he was not sure what the issue was. His boss/ owner called me shortly thereafter to inform that my car had complete engine damage which was not worth fixing. I told him I would call back once I figured out what I would need to do. He called back quoting $4,000.00 for the engine alone. I then told him I did not want anything done and I would get the car. He advised that he invested oil in the car to determine the cause and that the room filled up with black smoke. He also said the car was not driveable and he could take care of it for me. He suggested I bring in the title to my car so that he could get rid of the car for me. I told him to hold off so I can determine what I would do next. After various days, we arranged a day for me to have the car towed back to my home. I advised him that I was selling my car to Cash for Clonkers. He insisted that he could take the car to a mutual friend and give me a good deal. I declined. When I finally got to the shop, we went over the charges in detail. To my surprise the bill was $234.00, oil change and listing things that needed to be done. I disputed the additional charges to no avail.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for everything else that was done aside from the oil change. I specifically told the mechanic I needed brakes but my main concern was the engine. He informed that he was not going to put work into the car because it was simply not worth it. He also, earlier in our follow up conversation, said he was not able to look at the car at that time but called back shortly thereafter explaining that he would take the car off my hands. I feel like the information was falsified.
