Dear Ann, I am so glad you contacted us with this issue! I cannot believe they sell lights that you cannot replace the bulbs! That is horrible! I am going to instruct our team that we are not to use those lights ever againI am very sad to hear you say that you wish you had never hired usWe usually have great customer service and I know we have the best prices in town, so as you can imagine hearing you say that comes as a shockWe did replace a light on 3/15, which is after our two-year warrantee, most companies in this valley would not have done that, but I am going to go one step further, I am going to replace all lights with ones that you can replace the bulb, not because you went to the Revdex.com but because I really would like to keep you as a customerAll I want from you is a smile, is that fair enough? I can bring you some light samples for you to pick out? Just let me know which days are best for youAgain thanks for bringing this to my attention and I want you to know that you are very important to usI love all my customers and don’t want to lose you as a customerSo please forgive us for making you feel like we were unapproachableSincerely, Rick R [redacted] President All Valley Landscaping

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowTo whom it may concernI received an email with the response that All Valley Landscaping had provided The Revdex.com regarding my complaint against After reading [redacted] response several times, I have come to conclusion that he has responded with fabrications of the actual eventsI agreed that the yard would need to be DE-thached and aireated but, that I could not and should not perform the request until the Bermuda grass goes dorm-it That is not the issue After his crew installed the sprinkler heads, there were areas that were not getting adequate water during the testingThe crew did correct some of the areas in concern by replacing the water distribution heads with an increase in water diameter spread and GPM to those areas After all is said and done, I went from three areas that were not getting adequate water to eight after the project was completed All I wanted to have done was to replace the distribution head to provide adequate flow to the areas of grass [redacted] failed to mention that besides the "dead" zones, that the grass was/is getting adequate water to maintain the green grass surrounding the ares of dead grassHe also failed to test the ground surrounding the sprinkler heads to see if adequate water was being distributed A very simple test that an "experienced landscaper of years" should of done In stead he found in his opinion that I was wrong and did not know what I was doing Had [redacted] came out to supervise the work site, he would know what I was talking about, and at the very least told me what need to be done prior to the job being completedThat would have avoided all of this stress and I would of postponed the job until this fallHe may stand behind what he told me that this was not a sprinkler problem, (something I still disagree with.) In reading he response, I still see the rudeness he exhibited verbally to me when he was here You as professionals can see the same although I understand that you have to be neutral in any caseEspecially vey irritating is his final paragraph of his responseNot only is his facts stated wrongly, it shows his overall attitude to his customerI therefore do NOT accept this response and consider this complaint open Please advise me on my next step as a consumer and customerI attempted to contact the Revdex.com main number and had to leave a message due to a meeting you were inI never did receive a call back If I need to re-file, I will do so without hesitation [redacted] *** [redacted] Regards, [redacted] ***

I am so sorry for this customer’s frustration and anger. I tried to explain to this customer that the sprinklers were working fine and that water was hitting every part of his grass. [redacted] continued to say through out my visit, "obviously the sprinklers are not working... because the grass is dying in certain places." When I turned the sprinklers on manually to make sure they were hitting every part of the grass. I said to ***, "as you can see it is hitting even the brown spots." He got very irate and raised his voice at me and said, "Then why do I have brown spots?" I said, "Sir there are a number of reasons that your grass could have brown spots besides insufficient water.” He didn't want to hear that nor was he open to the 3 things he could do to fix the problem: 1. Dethatch the grass, which can be a reason that the water is running off the grass and not penetrating the grass areas in question. 2. Aerate the grass, which would allow water to flow more easily to the root system of the grass. 3. Turn up the amount of time on the clock, after you have done the other two. [redacted] walked through the water in frustration as the sprinklers where on to check to see if the water was hitting the dead spots, he then admitted that he could feel the water hitting those areas and even see the water on the ground in those areas. He was even angrier as he realized this was not a sprinkler problem but something else that was going to cost him more money. He began to say, "why wasn't I told that in the beginning?" What many customers do when they think they have a problem with insufficient water is call us out and tell us what they would like us to do; they do not ask what should be done. As you can see from his complaint that he has lived in his home for over 20 years and that what I was telling him was not true and that it had to be a lack of water. All Valley Landscaping does what our customers ask of us even though we know that other things needed to be done as well. We thought he knew what needed to be done and was going to dethatch the grass and aerate the lawn himself. The truth is that the sprinkler system needed to be fixed and we did that. Now he just needs to do the other things that I suggested so that his grass does not die. I stand behind what I told him at the property. This is not a sprinkler problem. This is a grass problem. I asked when the last time he dethatched and aerated his lawn and he said he thinks it had never been done. He then asked me again to fix the problem with a raised voice. I said in a raised voice back to him, "Sir what do you want me to do, the sprinklers are hitting every area of your grass!?" His response was very loud and he pointed his finger at me and said, "Don't raise your voice at me! I will raise the amount of time on the clock but if it doesn't fix the problem, you will be back out here to fix it and I will be going to the BBB with this." The truth is, even if he does increase the time on the sprinkler system and doesn't do all 3 things I suggested, he will loose all of his grass. I took videos and photos showing the water hitting all of the areas because I knew I would need proof of it later. I have proof that what I was contracted to do, was done, done right, and at a very reasonable price. We at All Valley Landscaping try to make every customer happy and some times it is just not possible. I am sorry that [redacted] will have to spend more money to fix his problem. I have been doing this for over 21 years and I really do care about ALL my customers, even customers that don't listen and are overbearing. The bottom line is that I cannot fix something that is working perfectly fine which I said no less than 4 times to [redacted] when I was at his home. Best regards, [redacted] ***All Valley Landscaping

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. To whom it may concern. I received an email with the response that All Valley Landscaping had provided The Revdex.com regarding my complaint against.  After reading [redacted] response several times, I have come to conclusion that he has responded with fabrications of the actual events. I agreed that the yard would need to be DE-thached and aireated but, that I could not and should not perform the request until the Bermuda grass goes dorm-it.  That is not the issue.  After his crew installed the sprinkler heads, there were  areas that were not getting adequate water during the testing. The crew did correct some of the areas in concern by replacing the water distribution heads with an increase in water diameter spread and GPM to those areas.   After all is said and done, I went from three areas that were not getting adequate water to eight after the project was completed.  All I wanted to have done was to replace the distribution head to provide adequate flow to the areas of grass. [redacted] failed to mention that besides the "dead" zones, that the grass was/is getting adequate water to maintain the green grass surrounding the ares of dead grass. He also failed to test the ground surrounding the sprinkler heads to see if adequate water was being distributed . A very simple test that an "experienced landscaper of 21 years" should of done.  In stead he found in his opinion that I was wrong and did not know what I was doing.  Had [redacted] came out to supervise the work site, he would know what I was talking about, and at the very least told me what need to be done prior to the job being completed. That would have avoided all of this stress and I would of postponed the job until this fall. He may stand behind what he told me that this was not a sprinkler problem, (something I still disagree with.)   In reading he response, I still see the rudeness he exhibited verbally to me when he was here.  You as professionals can see the same although I understand that you have to be neutral in any case. Especially vey irritating is his final paragraph of his response. Not only is his facts stated wrongly, it shows his overall attitude to his customer. I therefore do NOT accept this response and consider this complaint open.  Please advise me on my next step as a consumer and customer. I attempted to contact the Revdex.com main number and had to leave a message due to a meeting you were in. I never did receive a call back.  If I need to re-file, I will do so without hesitation. [redacted]  Regards, [redacted]

I have photo's and a video of the sprinkler system hitting every part of his grass while it was on. That is what we were contracted to do and that is what we did for this customer. I was never contracted to make his grass beautiful. This customer can be as argumentative as he wants but in the end I have proof that what we were contracted to do, was done. I want to apologize to the Revdex.com for having to deal with this matter, I know it is very challenging for you as well.  Sincerely, [redacted] President All Valley Landscaping

I appreciate  your timely response however, this incident would not occurred  if basic customer service principal would have been employed at the onset hopefully your other customers will not have a similar experience. Yes,I am in agreement to your terms. My son ( Mike B[redacted] ) will be handle the details since I am currently out of state. You may meet (at the home) with him on Friday 10/30/15 at 1pm. Thoughtfully,
Ann C[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com, This customer believes you have taken my word over his, which I know is not true. I will defend the Revdex.com in this matter because what this customer doesn't know is that you didn't take my word over his, you seen the video I provided on Aug. 22nd to [redacted] a Dispute Resolution Consultant there at the Revdex.com. Now this customer is saying the Revdex.com has done something wrong because you didn't judge in his favor, which is absurd. I will say again that I have proof from the video that I supplied that all the areas are being watered sufficiently and that what is happening is that the customer needs to dethatch and aerate his lawn and possibly add more time to the watering cycle. I also would like to say that the customer should not water during the day, as this will sometimes cause the grass to burn because the water droplets act as a magnifying glass. The best time to water is in the morning before the sun comes up. I will not refund this man's money as this is his only desire. He wants something for nothing because he now knows he has to spend more money to fix the problem with his lawn. I love people and like doing nice things for people but I know when people are just trying to take advantage of me and the system. I have done what I was contracted to do and I will not refund this man's money just because he wants me to. An example of this happening in another field is as if a mechanic shop installed a new battery and then they told him that he needed a new alternator as well and he didn't want to pay for it, he would then contact the Revdex.com and say they didn't fix my car and I want them to refund my money and then proceed to say they have poor customer service as a result of them not submitting to his demands. Poor customer service is when you don't show up for a bid, or don't do what you were contracted to do. It is not when a company informs a customer that they need more work to fix the problem and won't do it for free.  I have proven that I have done what I was contracted to do, so I consider this matter resolved. Again I would like to express my apologies to the Revdex.com for having to deal with this challenging situation. Sincerely,[redacted]President  All Valley Landscaping

He got very irate and raised his voice at me and said, "Then why do I have brown spots?"  I said, "Sir there are a number of reasons that your grass could have brown spots besides insufficient water.” He didn't want to hear that nor was he open to the 3 things he could do to fix the problem: 1. I will raise the amount of time on the clock but if it doesn't fix the problem, you will be back out here to fix it and I will be going to the Revdex.com with this." The truth is, even if he does increase the time on the sprinkler system and doesn't do all 3 things I suggested, he will loose all of his grass. Best regards,[redacted]All Valley Landscaping

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
