I would avoid Avoya travels at any costAs someone noted, the agents are contractors and the travel agency does not take any responsibility should something happen in regards to your booking or travel arrangements Despite bad reviews against our bad judgement we decided to use their service for a cruiseWe worked with an agent to set this up as it involved multiple families flying in from different parts to LA for this cruiseThe agent booked us for the wrong datesAll the email & phone communication has the requested dates in writingThey washed their hands off the mistake and noted the agents are contractors and they cannot do anything about itWe lost all the moneyI am going pursue other routes to fight this case I will never use this travel agent or recommend them to anyone

I recently used Avoya Travel and its representative Eric [redacted] While I had used them/him before there were no particular issues However, this time, using Viking as a our travel provider and [redacted] proved to be a disaster First of all he never got the reservation correct so that of the four people traveling together Each couple went on different airlines and at different times He claimed that this was Vikings fault but he never made any attempt to correct the problem In addition, he had the travel documents sent to the wrong address My feeling is that he is totally incompetent and Avoya travel was complacent in his actions Next time, deal with the travel providing company directly

Beware of Fraud We called [redacted] from AvoyaNetwork.com on Monday August about an Alaska Cruise trip coming up on Saturday, September (just a few days before the ship set sail)We sent this company all of our passports and U.SVisas for my parent-in-laws on the same day Everything we sent them seemed "ok" with [redacted] , so we trusted her approval and purchased the tickets from Avoyanetwork.com for our whole family (of us) On Saturday when we tried to board the ship, my parents-in-law were denied enterring the shipApparently, you need to have a Canadian Visa to take the tripNot once in my planning conversations with [redacted] did she ever mention that one must have a Canadian Visa to board the shipIf we had known this ahead of time, I would never have purchased tickets for this trip because there were only days remaining before the ship sailed: days is not enough time to get a Visa from the Canada Consulate if you get approved a Visa usually takes a minimum of days to process and receiveIt took my parents-in-law almost months to get their U.SVisas to come to the United States I have been trying for a month to get a refund (or even credit for a future trip) with [redacted] , and I have been trying for another month to do the same with her boss, [redacted] We have gotten nowhere with either of these people or this companyApparently, it is ok for this company to sell tickets which can never be usedPerhaps because we are Asian, these people think they can get away with this kind of customer treatment I just want you, the reader, to be aware of this company's unethical business practices I have documented this entire process and am willing to share it if anyone needs proof this actually happened

I tried to book a transatlantic cruise with Avoya on 5/13/The price was $from Miami to CoppenhagenFrom 4/to May 16, The room was an IX interior cabinToday 5/14/the price is still $per personI called on 5/and they said the price was wrongHow can they falsely advertise a price of $and then bait & switch and try to get me to purchase a higher price category This is so disingenuous

I don't know much about the company but I know that Jon K is a wonderful representative of the company. He went above and beyond when a slight hiccup happened with the booking. I would highly recommend Jon K to anyone who wants a highly professional but very easy to talk too and will try to get the best deal he can. He will respond back to your requests in a timely moment

Misleading advertising
I went online after seeing the Avoya sales price on an inside room for $ thru the last minute deals section for Bermuda on Celebrity for June to June I was surprised by the price but I figured it was a last minute deal and the ship was trying to fill upAfter filling out the information and calling Avoya as instructed, I was later told by the agent that Avoya would not honor the price and no room was available for that priceI took a snapshot of the screen to prove I was not crazyThis feels very much like dishonest advertising to get me to call and registerI would expect Avoya to honor their price and their advertisingAs a consumer I rely on what I seeI dont know if this is a common practice but it is very dishonestI will wait to receive your response before I take further actionI am very upset and disappointed in the response I initially receivedThank you *** ***, Blasdell, NY

A separated mom of I scheduled a cruise for last year as a graduation present to my daughterI made a $deposit I emailed my Avoya Rep at the time to cancel my cruise or push it back to a later date She informed me this would bring a penalty of $but the remaining $would be placed in the Carnival Guest Care Account She confirmed this through emailRep left Avoya travel last year
I began to get emails from the (New) Reps on 5/11/I immediatley forwarded my previous emails to the new reps that I received from the previous rep
They agreed I would lose the $and the $would be kept by Carnival Guest Care acct for me to use within months
I spoke to the new reps again on November 29, at 10:am to confirm this againThey assured me the $was safe in the Carnival Guest CareI called Carnival at 12:00pm they confirmed what was stated to me
I called the Reps on June 22, 2016; to re-schedule my cruise wi

Please help, to get refund from Avoya Travel thru Linda *** and *** Cruise Lines Linda *** lied to us in order to make a sale
She said, we do not need Visa for night China & South Korea cruise sailing on March 25, 2017, so we bought packages which included Air, transfers and Cruise for $4,
Unfortunately, on March March 24, at LAX airport in California, *** Airlines did not allow us to check in without a Visa to China I am disappointed because I was not aware that Visa is required in contrary to what Linda *** told me You can understand our frustration at the airport trying to call Linda and *** Cruise to get help but to no avail
I appreciate very much your kind help to get refund of what we paid or get voucher for future use so that the money we saved for a long time will not be wasted

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Avoya Travel in booking a cruise for peopleMy mother was one of the passengers booked on this cruiseUnfortunately, my mother died unexpectedly months before the cruiseOur agent, *** *** was made aware of the situation immediatelyFor the next months and even AFTER the cruise, she continued to send e-mails to my deceased mother at my e-mail address informing her how much FUN she was going to have, etc..etcI informed her several times of how insensitive I found these e-mailsEach time, she promised she would not do it again; each time she didIt is a shame that this company feels it is appropriate to continue to do something like this that is so painful and hurtfulI will NEVER use them again

In November of we put a $deposit on a tour for late September Six days later we realized that we had a conflict and could not go on the tourWe contacted the agent, *** *** and were told that it was company policy that we could not get our deposit backWe could use it for some other tour but, as far as they were concerned, the deposit could not be refunded That's months in advance and days after we gave them our depositSo beware, you're not dealing with a reputable company
