To whom it may concernI was on your site on Sunday 10/4/to place an orderI received a coupon earlier this morning for 25% off of my orderI went on and put items in my bag and proceeded to check out with said coupon25% came off my order and my total was $I input my credit card information and submitThen a screen came back with a message that you were unable to complete the transaction and it did not go throughHOWEVER the company has since put a hold through my bank for said amountI called customer service and I was told it was due to maybe not having sufficient funds in my accountI assured the women I was speaking to that that was not the issue I was on my bank site and I had MORE than enough moneyShe then stated that the code/coupon I input was expiredNow how could a coupon I just received be expiredI had not received the coupon less that minutes prior to placing the orderShe then went on to state that the website had not updated itselfIf the coupon was expired then it shouldn’t have allowed me to input the code into the box and submit itThis is the second time I am having an issue with this companyLast issue was about a year ago in which I decided to give you guys another chanceI was just let down againI was told that said money would be on hold for 3-business daysHow dare a company send out expired coupons then hold MY MONEYAs a company you guys should be ashamed of yourselfThat is advertisementI will no longer be shopping with your company and I will not be recommending this company to anyonePlease take my name off of your mailing list as I no longer wish to receive anything from such a dysfunctional companyThank you

I exchanged an item that was bought during the holidays that could still be exchanged/returned due to an extension for holiday purchases Instead, my order was cancelled by the company, and they partially returned my money (not including shipping cost) onto a merchandise credit (voucher) instead of crediting the money back on my credit card When I contacted customer service about the issue, I was told that this was unusual, and never got the issue resolved or heard back from customer service after contacting them twice via e-mail I offered to return the voucher stating that I could get proof of return from the post office, after the money was returned to my credit card, but no one ever returned my e-mail

They were also not "official" ... it was a customer service person typing up a quick something and sending it to me, not the proper order confirmation with detailed information confirming transactions that you usually use, and usually send within seconds or minutes. So basically I was in a situation where Alloy had my funds but had not sent me the agreed upon garments, was not keeping its word on when said garments would be shipped, and was also not consistent about sending me timely and accurate confirmation of what was still due from them. After all of that headache over months, I don't appreciate your team reworking the numbers - hiding a supposed tax refund under cover of return shipping fees - to avoid refunding the sales tax I paid you, for garments I returned. Your calculations below do not reflect what actually happened and what was actually said and done by Alloy. A final note ... my calculations below are not mine. They are Alloy's. Alloy did not honor part of my order which was on back order for months, and the back order date kept getting pushed back several times. Out of sheer frustration, I cancelled the entire order, returned everything I still had within the 30 day time period, and asked for a full refund. As a courtesy, they did not deduct the return shipping after several exchanges and not honoring their back order dates for months. But they made quite clear to me that they were not refunding the tax, and they had no intention of doing so, and they never do. I was speaking with a customer service person, but she was consulting with a supervisor the entire time and was doing what he or she demanded. Your customer service person told me the supervisor instructed that sales tax is never refunded, and that's against your policy. That being said, here is the final tally: $98.79 - garments 8.91 - tax$107.70 - SUBTOTAL 16.00 - ship $123.70 - TOTALAlloy had already refunded $14.99 for the dress 10/30 to -7921. Which left $84.84 to be refunded for the rest of the garments. I did see the $84.84 enter my account within a couple of days. But, as your customer service promised, there was no tax refund. Which should be $8.91. Well first let me start with I ordered jeans and ended up getting a jumpsuit. Ok no big deal I will call and let them know so I can get the correct item. Nope that is not at all how it went. They told me they would send me an email with a link to send back pictures of the wrong item. A little upset but I did, a week goes by am I have not received an email or phone call. So I again call, they then tell me they never received the pictures. They send me a new email with the link again but this time I made them stay on the phone and they never receive the pictures. The girl on the phone let me send them to her email (the only thing good out of this) and they went through and she said she would send it off to be reviewed and that I should hear back in within a week. Again NOPE! No call no email, so once again I call but this time I get told they are moving so it will be another week or two before I hear anything. I wait, and nothing so I call 2 weeks later and this time I get told the move date was pushed back 7 days. I wait and call 7 days later to be told that they never received the pictures of the wrong item. VERY upset at this time I ask to speak with a manager. They then get back on and say they found it an will look into it and call me back. I received a call back only to tell me that I need to return the wrong item and once it is checked into the warehouse they will send me the correct order. Again I asked to speak with the manager because this was not ok with me. She informs me that the manager is in a meeting an will call me back. I wait an hour only to get a call back from the same girl only to now tell me that they have updated their order system an can not send me the correct order but once I return the wrong item I will then get a refund minus the shipping cost. I am so upset and I tell her I want to talk to a manager, she tells me the manager is in a meeting again and will have her call me back, I told her I would wait on hold because it was ridiculous at this point. She tells me she cant leave me on hold so gives me to someone else who says the same thing she does. I am still waiting to hear back from the manager. I will NEVER order from them again!!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I would like more information on who I exactly contact to get info on how to return the pants for an exchange though. I would like to give them one more try. I love how they fit, but was extremely disappointed that they only lasted a month!! That isn't right. I am not hard on clothes at all, and have a desk job. That is not going to wear them out that fast in any means.

[redacted] made the notes about the check & EGC being cancelled for a refund.  These were not actually cancelled, so I will go ahead and do so.  She also told the customer that we do not give refunds for shipping and sales tax – that is where the confusion is coming into play..  The agent refunded the customer an incorrect amount of $84.84, when it should have been $84.41.  The customer was also charged the return label fee a second time when she was told that she would not be, so she is due $6.95.  Also, there is no record of the $9.39 EGC from the return on [redacted] even though ESM says it was issued.  However, the $14.99 refund that was given to her on 10/30 should not have been.
$84.41 actually due + 6.95 return label fee + 9.39 missing EGC = $100.75 that she should have been refunded.
$84.84 credited + $14.99 credited = $99.83.
$100.75 due - $99.83 given = $0.92 that we owe her.

Yes, that is the order number with the same amounts, even though the customer hasn’t replied.  But I am not sure of the different refund amount $84.84 she is referring to.

Mr. A[redacted] I did several exchanges after being told only the first exchange shipping is charged, because the jeans I tried in different sizes did not fit me properly. Alloy did not honor part of my order which was on back order for months, and the back order date kept getting pushed back several times.
Out of sheer frustration, I cancelled the entire order, returned everything I still had within the 30 day time period, and asked for a full refund. As a courtesy, they did not deduct the return shipping after several exchanges and not honoring their back order dates for months.
But they made quite clear to me that they were not refunding the tax, and they had no intention of doing so, and they never do. I was speaking with a customer service person, but she was consulting with a supervisor the entire time and was doing what he or she demanded. 
Your customer service person told me the supervisor instructed that sales tax is never refunded, and that's against your policy.
That being said, here is the final tally:
   $98.79 - garments 
       8.91 - tax$107.70 - SUBTOTAL     16.00 - ship $123.70 - TOTALAlloy had already refunded $14.99 for the dress 10/30 to -7921. Which left  $84.84 to be refunded for the rest of the garments. I did see the $84.84 enter my account within a couple of days. 
But, as your customer service promised, there was no tax refund. Which should be $8.91.

They offer FREE shipping if you purchase over a certain dollar value. They charge shipping anyway. I ordered (4) items, they were shipped out separately, I was charged shipping on each item. FREE shipping means just that, it is a scam and when you try to rectify the situation no one will get back to you.
