Allstate Moving

This company doubled the cost of my estimate - which I understand there could have been an increase if I miscalculated, but double the price? Fine, I paid it. They packed up the contents of my house with 3 movers, however when the van arrived to deliver our furniture, they sent just one man, forcing my husband who suffered from advanced liver disease, liver cancer and an inguinal hernia to have to help unload, as the driver kept saying he was behind and had to leave as soon as possible. When the driver backed up to get closer to the house, he backed into our car port, which pushed it into our home, damaging the vinyl siding as well as the car port. I immediately reported this and was told I could file a claim and they would pay damages. Needless to say, their insurance company denied the claim so I opened a complaint with the Transportation Arbitration Board, who ruled in my favor for $4,000. The company agreed to abide by the decision, but did not pay me. I filed with the BBB, they responded they were just waiting to get an approval and the check would be sent in 7-10 days. I filed with the Attorney General in Washington State, I'm filing with the small claims court as well. I opened a complaint with FMCSA as well. Companies like this continue to defraud consumers, yet no one takes action against them - the onus is on the consumer to invest enormous amounts of time and energy to fight for their own rights. It's disgraceful - but I have made it my mission to keep writing about this company and urge other innocent consumers to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

We have been living in a furniture-free home for close to a month AFTER we expected our stuff to be delivered.

We called "Customer Service" many times; not once did anyone pick up the phone and we always went into voice mail. And never, not once, did we receive a return call from them.

Emails got the same treatment; the only time we heard from Allstate seemed like after they felt we were good and ready to be plucked for more money. We did get an offer to "expedite" our delivery if we agreed to pay a premium, which we didn't. We had the foolish notion that a contract obligated Allstate to deliver our stuff when we asked.

We did finally get a notice that the truck was on the way and that the contractually agreed upon balance of $2511.00 magically morphed into $3811.00---and would have to be paid PRIOR to any unloading. No explanations; just pay with cashier's check or other form that couldn't be challenged or cancelled.

I've contacted the Atty General's office in both states, but I'm pretty sure I'm screwed if I want my stuff back. The best I got was from an attorney that said pay them and then take them to small claims court. That's just great; and what about the damaged furniture that I now fully expect once I do get my stuff?

I made the mistake of hiring these charlatans based upon knowing someone who knew someone. Stupid-stupid-stupid.

Read the YELP reviews before you jump in bed with these crooks. I'll be kicking myself for a long time for not following my own advice.

These guys are the best! This was my first time having to handle everything by myself and the move was big; a little over 800 miles. I packed everything as best as I could and bubble wrapped some valuables. They came and secured the things I didn't do very well... thank goodness. They were so careful with my belongings and very polite. I've heard so many horror stories about hiring movers and was terrified. Thankfully, this wasn't my story. Thank you so much Allstate Moving for providing a tip-top experience. Thank you to the manager Sarah for answering all my questions and helping me through this first experience. Also, please tip your movers. they work extremely hard. Especially if they're walking three flight of stairs like mine.... hauling pianos and large furniture.

We hired this company to pack us, move us and store our furniture until we were ready to accept it in NV. I was assured by Edward they had good insurance, millions - come to find out we had .60 cents per pound. I also asked Edward if my things would be in a temperature-controlled environment and would no way be exposed to bugs (cockroaches), he assured me that it would. Most of my candles were melted and I picked up 2 dead cockroaches off my carpet after they delivered!! Office girls were okay to work with however, communication was sparse. Upon receiving my furniture, we had 2 legs broken off an ottoman, several chairs, sofa, a dining room chair, and our end table was totally broken at the base and the table-top came right off, 2 broken office chairs. We had broken glass and artificial plants that were totally smashed, a large wall clock totally broken. My family heirloom quilt holder that my father-in-law made for me the leg was broken off and they took the piece of wood with them!! I have many many items that never showed up, like our bathroom scale, can crusher, 2 trash cans packed with items from the garage, a small cleaning ladder, large kitchen trash can, a vacuum, 2 sets of craving knives, my kitchen drinking glasses, 2 large floral arrangements, rods for the file cabinet to hang files from. I can go on and on, these are the only items I have noticed so far. I have items that are not mine! Like a small wood leg for a fine piece of furniture, another leg to ??, and 2 small ladders. Most of the furniture corners are broken or rubbed to bear wood. All these items were less than 24 months old. Now I must file an insurance claim that will take hours to complete and in the end with .60 per lb. we will get nothing to replace, fix or repair anything. Be Careful, beware with this company - read everything before you sign. Moreover, I was overcharged!! The company said they would pro-rate me for the month of April because my items were delivered on April 6 & 7th. I had to hound the company for weeks before I finally got that back. When they came to deliver, they said I had to pay the amount the delivery men had on the paperwork or they would not deliver. They also said I had to pay by cashier check or cash, no one told us that!!! It was a Sunday!!! So, I had to go to Walmart and get cashier checks. There is just so many things that could have been avoided. I have been in customer service for 30 years and if I treated clients like this, I would be out of business!! We are a very unhappy client!!!

My aunt just moved from Seattle to Orange County. So I helped her to contact and find a good moving company, I found Allstate moving and requested for a quote. I was surprised with their fast response with reasonable price. They arrived on time with two guys and moved packages and load appliance quickly without any damages. They were professional and unload packages nicely. Thank you!

Yan, Amiran, and Alex made our Seattle-Vegas move smooth and worry-free! They are friendly, easy-going, hard working, and great at communicating about time frames. They worked well together and also efficiently in their separate zones while wrapping and packing everything up. When unpacking, they moved a few things around for me without problem when I decided I actually wanted furniture in other places. The folks in the office were great too - super friendly, patient, and knew their stuff. They were the first to provide me a quote of the 8 companies I contacted, offered a special when giving that quote, and actually paid attention to the list of belongings and pics I provided when asking for the quote instead of making me go over it all again on the phone like several other companies did. Oh, and did I mention they had the vest price too? Solid experience. Thank you Amiran, Yan and Alex!!!

During such an unprecedented times we as salon owners had to relocate to cup down our expenses. I've called at least 4 different moving companies and Allstate Moving gave me very fair price. The movers were professional and worked very quickly to wrap and get equipment and furniture onto truck. The move was from Seattle WA to San Francisco. All furniture and expensive equipment arrived and good shape, nothing was broken or damaged ( we used their professional packing services too). it literally took them over an 5 hours to pack all stuff we had that would have taken a week for me. As we all know moving is very stressful and unpleasant experience and these guys really went above and beyond. Also I appreciate that while being so courteous they use social distancing guidelines and had protective masks on.

We loved this company. I highly recommend uding them for your next move. Amiran, Yan, and Mike were so helpful in moving our 3 bedroom home. They made it look so easy. They helped us pack, disassemble, reassemble, and loug all of our belonging to our new home. They go full speed the entire time, while making sure all of our items arrive in one piece. Thank you guys!!!

I hate moving! With a week's notice to move, my fiance and I decided we needed some movers and especially for all the big stuff. We gave this place a call and described exactly what we needed and our time frame. He quoted me for 4 guys for our 4 bedroom home. The price was great but I wasn't sure how good they were going to be. The girl on the phone linked me to a site, I filled out the details, signed the contract and that was it. Come June 1st, there they came to our Kirkland home in a big yellow truck with the 4 guys: Yan, Dan, Serj and Amiran as promised. They brought dolly's, wardrobe boxes, plastic wrap, moving blankets, the works. They also showed up within the 1 hour window I was given. They started the clock and worked in less than 3 hours to pack and load the entire place. I have never seen such hard work done up quickly amd professionally. They asked minimal but important questions if needed. They took minimal breaks and didn't charge for it. They took great care of our things in the process and loaded the truck so efficiently, using the space wisely without damaging any times. Once we got to the new house in Phoenix, we instructed them where to unload everything and they did just as quick and professional as loading it. All in all, I highly recommend them and especially these 4 guys. They were fast, professional, kind, and overall very pleasant to work with, If you hire anyone to do your move choose them! You will save yourself a huge headache, I know from experience with my last move a different awful company. Because of Allstate Moving, I no longer hate moving. What started off as something I was dreading has turned out to be a breeze. I am so excited to be in my new home now. I can't thank this company and especially these guys enough!

Good job, guys! Look, I used to live in Cincinnati, OH, then Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, Miami, FL, and finally Seattle, WA. I been moved at least 5 times in last 2 years and had a lot of experience with different moving companies in different states. I know exact cubic feet my staff is and approximate price for the moving. I remember other companies tried to fool me with cubs and paling materials and weight and distance. So I was prepared for "show" they usually play. But this guys surprised me! Professionals packed each Item in separate blanket. Every dish, every small item was packed separately. Fair price and absolutely NO DAMAGE happened. Thank you guys !

Great movers: responsible, careful about moving furniture, happy to move things around of what is there at the new home so the brought in pieces of furniture could be fitted in. I personally boxed the fragile and light household items & art so I can't vouch for their packing skills of 'delicates', but the heavier stuff was moved just fine. When I contacted Allstate, their response time was prompt. I told them the nature of my move so they could determine the size of truck as well as guesstimating how many men would be needed. I asked for a specific date and time which worked with their own work schedule. Since the reserved day was about 3 weeks away, my appointment was reconfirmed about a few days before which was important since my scheduling of the move was based on various factors. On the day of the move, Allstate called to give me an ETA so I could be prepared when they got there. Move went very smoothly. When it came time to move the old refrigerator from out of the kitchen to the garage at the new house so that a new fridge could be put in the kitchen later, the headman created a strategy to be the least disruptive as possible. Only snafu came when a workman reconstructed the sleight bed with a few parts left over & didn't let me know about it until I discovered the extra parts in a plastic bad after they had left. The strategic mistake was not letting the workman who took apart the bed to put it back together. However, the bed seems fine so I not going to dwell on it. All in all, it was a good move. The estimated time to do the job was within accuracy. Reasonable cost and minimum of hassles. I recommend Allstate Moving if you are planning a move.

Moving sucks. Everyone knows it.
But because of companies like Allstate Moving, moving sucks a little less. Yan and his co-worker showed up on time and in about 90 minutes got everything I needed moved from a 3 bedroom condo onto the truck. The guys had great attitudes and were fun to talk to. They worked quickly and with great care. They were ahead of schedule so Yan even offered to pack up some extra clothing we had laying around which saved me a lot of time later on.
At the new house everything went smooth as well. They showed great care in taking everything out of the truck and putting things where they belong. Yan even offered to help me move a second refrigerator. I'm hoping I don't have to move again anytime soon but if I do, this is the only company I'll call.

As I'm planning me next move, this time it is across the country. I am thinking of Allstate moving company. I was so satisfied with my move with them from Seattle to Los Angeles. I honestly could have not have asked for a better company to work with. I'm stuck with a large fridge in the box in my garage. Communication with Sarah was super efficient and clear. She was able to send two additional guys here on the same day to move the fridge to the kitchen on the second floor and also help me finish the installation. The team was very professional and polite, and they finished the job very quickly. I'm very happy with the move. Thank you!

Yan and Max did an excellent job of talking care of my inherited furniture from carrying to assembling. They pretty much sacrificed their lunch hours to make sure all the furniture was assembled and put where I wanted it. The one bad thing I can say is that the movers may not necessarily have the right equipment for the right job. As an example, my newly inherited refrigerator took insanely long to get from the truck to my apartment. They had to gingerly bring the refrigerator up the stairs step by step ( and there were quite a bit of steps!) before they could assemble it in my apartment. I would say that if they had the right equipment that could make that move easier, they would have been done a half hour earlier. Still, it would take more than that to knock my review down from a 5 to a 4. They might not be perfect, but at the end of the day, the result was perfect!

Amiran and Den were absolutely amazing! They were very quick and very attentive to all of our needs. They helped us set everything where we wanted, even when we made a mistake and asked them to move a very heavy piece of furniture to another spot in our home. I would DEFINITELY be calling them again for my next move!

Our guys Amiran and Dimitry ( sorry if i'm spelling that wrong!) were on time, fast, super professional, and treated our stuff with care. They even brought extra packing materials that we ended up needing - a huge lifesaver! We used POD to move and they were like Tetris wizards in getting everything safely in. Moving is rough but awesome movers like these make it so much more manageable!

Had a great experience with this company. Had 2 guys show up on time, clean, friendly, strong. They were very efficient and fast in moving everything from the third floor of my apartment down to the truck. They brought plenty of tools and extra supplies, at no cost to me, and helped me maximize the time I had set aside for the move. Learned some new stuff from them, too. They were very professional and courteous, and at a good price point for me, and I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

These movers are my favorite!!!
They are super professional and their is no job too big or small, they get it done. They are truly the BEST! Ever since last year when they helped me move, I have literally used them for everything I need help help with and they are always on time and Iv referred them to all my friends and family. I have never been happier with anyone's work except theirs. If I could give them 10 stars I would. These guys are friendly, super professional and strong!!!

We moved fron CA to AZ and got several quotes from various moving companies.
We decided on Allstate Moving because a) they were upgront about pricing ( without hidden charges), b) they were very responsive to our moving inquiry and met personally with us to discuss our move, and c) laid out the moving plan from A to Z so we understood every aspect of the moving process.
Once moving day came, the team was on time, worked without a break and experly packaged our belongings, including expensive artwork that was oversized and delicate.
Everything that was promised to us initially was upheld, there were no surprises, and delivery of our belongings was on schedule.
We can not speak highly enough of this company and would give them 10 stars if we could. We highly recommend this company!

This is a SCAM moving company. They do an over phone estimate which is friendly and nice. On day of delivery the crew who shows up is a third party (usually Russian or Ukrainian). This crew then initiates the scam by stating you didn't disclose certain items and its going to cost way more money now to move you. This is also the part they disclose they need payment in the form of cash or cashiers check half now and half later only (Another red flag). This is the part where customer service goes out the window. They pitch you off to their manager (not English) who states the same cash demands. Then if you still don't agree on all this they have Ed with Allstate call to bully you and threaten you with liens and lawsuits, your family and any other way possible. (Yes, I have Voicemails and texts on that) I can almost George Foreman guarantee you they faked all the positive reviews. The review by Spencer is highly accurate, even if you cut a deal or actually go through with them taking your goods they are going to extort more money out of you by holding your home goods hostage. They run the Moving Scam playbook by the same warnings Revdex.com states on this page. They should be investigated hardcore as I am sure these cash payments for moves are not being reflected to the IRS! Bottom line: Move at your own Risk with Allstate Moving LLC
