Review: I bought a washer and dryer on October 8, 2014 at around 3:30 or so. I bought the used washer and dryer. I didn't pay for delivery because I own a truck and I am not paying $50 for delivery five or six blocks away. I used the dryer the first day and it wasn't rarely drying at all, I had to dry the clothes 6 times in order for it to be totally dried. The next morning I put another load of wash to dry a total of 6 pieces of clothes, and the dryer was not stating at all. This happened on October 9, 2014 one day after I bought the machine. The dryer didn't turn at all. My husband checked the circuit breaker in the basement turned it on and off and it was in working order, I had my landlord come out and check the circuit breaker because I couldn't believe that after one day of use, the dryer is not working at all. I paid $150 for this set, and I am stuck dryer on a clothes line in the basement and the washer is hardly spinning also, that will also be going soon. If these two pieces of appliance weren't in working order why sell them to a consumer. Where are the values and integrity? Honesty? Now we called the appliance company and they state that we need to pay $35 in order for him to come out and fix it. Originally he first asked if its still under warranty and of course it is It was only a day or so later when we called him and complained. Now since he said I needed to bring in the machine? WHY and How many times will we need to bring up and down this HEAVY dryer from the basement? So he offered my husband to pay him $35 and he will come out and look at it. Now will is the warranty part kick in? I still got to pay him for gas I guess.? I live about 1 mile away from this place. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!Desired Settlement: I dont believe I should be paying $35 for him to come out and look at this dryer everytime. The dryer is still under warrantee I paid money and still have no dryer

Response:

October 24, 2014Dear [redacted],Thank you for your letter of Thursday, October 23 2014 regarding a dryer machine issue, Complaint no. [redacted]. We are willing to fix the problem with that dryer right away.Because we know the quality of our job is why we give our customer between one (1) and four (4) months warranty in our used appliances sale. The warranty included parts and labor. If the customer experience a problem with the appliances over the guarantee period, we explain to them they have the option to bring the item back to the store, and we can fix the happen, Otherwise, we might exchange the whole item,If the customer want to get the appliance fixed in their house, they have to pay for service call because it is not cover in the warranty, The situation in this specific case is the customer is refusing to bring the dryer back to the store. She wants we go to her house and fix the machine. But, she is refusing to pay the service call fee. We explain that point to the customer before to buy any appliances in our store and this information is written in the bottom of our receipts too.We looked forward to fix that matter as soon as possible,Sincerely,Adriano A President

I am rejecting this response because:First they NEVER told me the charge of $35 at the store when I purchased the dryer and as, I remember clearly asking "does this have warranty" unwillingly he stated Yes, for one month. I then asked will you fix it if damaged within a month, which was rhetorical question but I just wanted to make sure and be clear, he stated YES, there after nothing was said about charges verbally nor that it is on the receipt, I'm looking at the receipt and it is NOT legible, nor is the receipt sent to your agency. I can't read nor understand what it states below. If the dryer has warranty on the appliances what is the $35 fee for? gas reimbursement? I live a mile or less away from this business. Warranty is warranty it should have been explained clearly or this situation would never have occurred.
