Alpin Haus Reviews (31)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Revdex.com spoke to [redacted] and the following was relayed: I did not authorize, verbally or in writing, $4500 for the repairs. I was definitely not informed that the bill was going to be $5700. I went there to have the horn, cruise control, and windshield wipers repaired as they did not work. The only money authorized was the $2100 authorized from [redacted]. When I called [redacted] they told me that the work should have taken 6 hours. The business charged me for 26 hours. This is for 3 little parts. Now I have 4 batteries, at $1200 each that are dead because they were never taken out or charged while the Coach sat there for 4 months. I also have several issues, including with the Booster button, that were working when the coach was brought in and are no longer working or working incorrectly.
Revdex.com received the attached document forwarded from [redacted] Warranty/ [redacted] America that shows the parts and cost of the parts, along with what the standard labor times. The printout shows approx. 6.4 hours. Revdex.com is unsure why there is a total of 26 hours charged for labor.

The mysterious addition of gas in oil tank and ripped seat may have suggested vandalism after machine was left for 5 weeks..the machine was not gassed by myself and yet Alpin Haus suggested fresh gas created engine failure.   They ignored the oil leaks reported two times shortly after machine engine was rebuilt.  Photo of ripped seat was presented as evidence of how I keep my machine.   I have witness that it was left with small slit that an upholstery gave me an estimate on...plus a witness who dropped off machine with same small slit that was due for repair.   Alpin Haus manager stresses my negligence..I stress his in overlooking cause of oil leaks

We have reached out to the [redacted] and offered to work with them to trade them into another used motor home closer to their budget or a reduced repair cost to repair the one they own. We currently do not have any used motorhome class B models that would fit their budget or need at this time and the sales person they worked with will watch for one to come in and followup with them on the details. This is more than fair considering the time frame has been over 5 years, the vehicle is 10 years old and used vehicles are not sold with any implied or expressed warranty

Revdex.com has spoken to Jamie at business and the following was relayed: We are currently waiting for the customer to sign the contract so that we can begin installation of the pool.

Below is the explanation from Technician on diagnosing Mr. [redacted]’s electrical problem for job# 1 on work order # [redacted]:  First started diagnosing by opening up all electrical compartments, started checking fuses & found blown fuses that were linked to the smart wheel system. I replaced the fuses & tested, but still had nothing. I searched & found the smart wheel module mounted under the dash on the left side. Called [redacted] Coach, after talking with them, checked for power & fuses, which all tested good, as power goes. Started checking wiring & found that there were broken wires in the steering column. The “clock spring” wires were all ripped out. I took the steering column apart & then had to use a puller to remove the steering wheel. I then removed all of the covers on the steering column itself to gain access to the wiring. I pulled the “clock spring” off of the stem & took it to parts, so they could match it up & get a new one. The parts department had a problem getting the correct part, because the part couldn’t be identified. Once we received the new part & installed it (had to reassemble the steering column & reinstall the steering wheel). I then tested the smart wheel & still had nothing. So I then called vehicle systems & went over the system with them. I then tested all  of the inputs from the steering wheel “pods” to the circuit board & from the board to the “pods”. I now had power going to the “pods” but when I tested the resistance coming out of the “pods” going back to the module they were out of spec. called vehicle systems again & went over the entire systems with them & what happened. The tech suggested that we should also go ahead & replace the steering wheel pods because he said that they are sensitive & had probably failed when the clock spring wiring had shorted out. So  I then ordered new steering wheel pods. The technician also said that the smart wheel module may not be holding the power when the pods were depressed. He recommended replacing the pods first. Once the new pods came in I again disassembled the steering wheel & replaced the pods & then reassembled the steering wheel. I then tested the system & had different readings then I had before but nothing worked. I again called vehicle systems & went over what was happening again with a technician. He said that when the system shorted out that it must have taken the board out in the module. I then went to the our parts department & ordered a new module. When the new module came in I installed it into the coach & tested the system. Everything worked perfectly. I then reassembled the entire coach, steering wheel column & the dash & all of the electrical bays that had been taken apart during the diagnosing process. The time spent on the phone with [redacted] Coach & Vehicle systems was between 3 and 4 hours by itself.  Mr. [redacted] authorized up to $4,500 and his portion of the final invoice came to $3.901.44  which Mr. [redacted] paid for when he pick up his Coach.  Mr. [redacted] was working our Sales and wanted to trade his Coach in on a new [redacted] Motor Home. Mr. [redacted] met with me and ask me if I could double check his emergency start and the reason he had a warning lite on his silver leaf. I had both items check that same day, the emergency start worked fine but the Chassis batteries were always weak or dead. The warning light on the silver leaf was due to the tire pressure monitor not working  and parts were no longer available for that system. I hope this information helps everyone and feel free to contact me for any other assistance.   Thank You, Ron C. | Director of Service and Parts

Mr [redacted] chose to store his RV with us while parts were on order instead of using the RV. The camper was very usable and there was absolutely no reason not to use it while waiting for parts to arrive. When Mr. [redacted] arrived to pick up his camper he lost control and verbally abused...

and threated our Service Manager in front of customers and employees. The Police were called and charges have been lodged.
Sincerely,
Ron C.

Tom M. Sales Manager and Greg C. Sales person spoke to Mr. [redacted] today.  There was confusion over hitch equipment. He was billed for hitch equipment but there was a mix up and he did not need the equipment as he was going to get from a friend.  He will bring equipment back this week and...

his account will be credited so he will then owe $0.

This is David B. - Director of RV sales for ALpin Haus.
I am researching the facts on this matter and will get back to you before the end of this week.
Thank you

We are in the process of scheduling repairing all of Mr. [redacted] warranty issues. While replacing a decal on the exterior of the RV, the finish was marred and requires refinishing. We offered to pick up an redeliver the RV TO Mr. [redacted] home including a 1 year warranty on the...

repair.  Thank You, Ron C. | Director of Service and Parts

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
We do not agree with their 'reaching out' to us and the way they
wanted to resolve the issue.  They assume no responsibility for our
problem and what they offered to us was not a 'deal' at all.  They
changed their price online on the RV they offered to us and after their
offer it was more than originally posted online, not a deal at all. The
response from the salesman was 'I will keep you on my wish list for a
used Rv that may fit your budget.'  Sounds insulting to us.
Regards,
[redacted]
