We left our home in Laura Alshouse's care for a few years, with her business PMI El Paso, which was a mistake.
After coming back to our house, we immediately called her after noticing damage done to the garage door which had a large crack down the center, then the rest of the house inside. PMI refused to help with all the damages they allowed our previous renters to walk away from. When our neighbors even confirmed that they treated our house poorly.
They continued to argue with us stating that we had access to the renters by phone and were able to connect with them.
Yes, we may have been able to keep in contact with them, but being in a different state, we had this company, which was supposed to care for our house, take care of the problems we couldn't, not do it's job.
We've called them several times since moving back in and they still refuse to acknowledge those damages.
My house had severe damage done to it in many spots that is not normal wear and tear, from torn carpet, damaged walls and boarders, drawings on walls, broken garage door, broken fridge, microwave, oven, broken and bent gated back door, candle wax on walls, and broken toilets. All of that ended up being thousands to have fixed, three thousand so far. We still have to replace the garage door, that will cost us another few thousand added onto what we've paid out of pocket in two weeks of moving back into our home.
On top of that, our house was also not cleaned, we had to clean the dog hair, dirt, stains and hand prints off the walls and floors and every fixture inside the house when we should have been unpacking. In the two weeks we moved back in, the first ten days was filled with cleaning and replacing or repairing things.
Everytime we've called Laura was rude, and threatened us, then twisted our words and accused us of lying to ruin her reputation, which is unprofessional and untrue. I have photos of the damage left to my home. When I tried to post them, my review was hidden and flagged.
This is an unprofessional business that will treat you and your home poorly. I would advise avoiding PMI El Paso and Laura.
Move out procedure was completed by tenants and inspected by manager. This is a lengthy detailed process with much success over many years. Tenants were clean and responsible in caring for this home which was noted in the multiple inspections performed throughout the years they occupied. Carpet was professionally serviced and offer was made to have them revisit to address any deficiencies reported. All appliances and systems were in working non damaged condition upon inspection. Our goal is professional customer service that is fair to both parties. Tenants can not be held responsible for damage that occurred to garage door post vacancy. Home was vacant for 60 days . We are saddened and perplexed by the serious disparity of observations set forth.
