I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I know you have indicated no response is needed at this timeHowever I have read the response from Joshua Kdate 5/25/On May 19, when I had an appointment at 1:I spoke with a woman I had never even seen beforeShe could not even find me in the filesJoshua came out and said what do you need and I told him I was supposed to come Thursdays at 1:He said we are very busy todayI said I drove miles to get there and he said if you want to hang around I will try to get you inNo mention of 10-minutes was ever statedThey asked if I could come back at noon on May 20,Rather than argue in front of their other clients I took the appointment with every intention of filing this complaintI called early in the AM on May 20, to cancel the appointmentSo early they were not even open and left a messageHe continued to say I always praised the program and I said I lost weight and everything was goodI never once said I had lost weight and told him I didn't think soI asked about a concern every time and was always told they would be addressed in the sessionTwice I was seen by a trainee hypnotistAs appointments went on I would be taken in later and they would last longerA couple times while I was waiting for Joshua to come back I had to go to the restroom and when I returned another person was in the room and a client in the waiting room hand me my CD and literatureHe has one thing right he never spoke more than 10-minutes any sessionThe day I filed this complaint a woman called me from the office and tried to get me to say I was always satisfied and agreed to everythingShe told me I had to take down my complaintI asked her about the appointments being late and sitting in the room doing nothing while new clients were briefed from intro to contract and she said that was part of the planThis is the same woman from 5/19/I had never even seen before!!! Several times I mentioned trouble with the foods on the diet plan and how expensive they wereThey always agreedThey could have put a sign on the door listen to this CD then the hypnosis CD and no one would even be neededMany times the only person in the office would be Joshua alone$would call for a little more hands on personal work Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I do not accept the response from the business Please refer to my original complaint in which I express the numerous reasons for our compete dissatisfactionin addition, I want to give a timeline On 10/at 1:p.mI filed my initial complaintOn 10/at 2:I received an email from Alternative Hypnosis stating: "***, Josh has been out of town He will be back on Monday to touch base with you Roma."on 10/at 3:I responded: "OkThank you."On 10/at 3:p.mI received another email from Alternative Hypnosis stating: "He will also be sending you a check as well so if you could wait as well until next weekRoma."on 10/at 4:p.mI responded: "Roma, when I wrote to Josh on September 18, I indicated I would be willing to settle within days of the emailI actually waited until today, which is days, before I filed a complaintI will wait until next week to receive a checkThank you [redacted] ." I feel that per the email correspondence that I had with Alternative Hypnosis that I quoted above, that we came to an agreement in good faith but they did not follow through This is yet another example of keeping clients waiting and being discourteousthank youRegards, [redacted]

The check has not been sent out because I was out of town and had to calculate the amount of service both clients received against what she was requesting She has increased what she is asking, making this look a little bit like extortion

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below “As you can imagine, I am appalled at his response He replies to each complaint he receives, in the same manner He starts off with what we agree to, which completely removes them from having any responsibility for their practice having any impact on the outcome Then he goes into how we (his clients) are blaming him, when in reality, his reply is all about blaming his clients, and how they (Alternative Hypnosis) have no ownership to the solutionHe always states claims about the thousands of clients over the past years, when Joshua has only been there three to four years, and their record is as a result of the gentlemen who founded the organization before him, and he is no longer there! He refers to his staff being fully trained, where in reality, I think he has one person in training and a temporary office person answering the phones When you speak with either of these people, you can clearly tell they are operating under a very stressful situationI will share with you, that he lies on several occasions, to which I’m not sure what you (Revdex.com) does when one of your customers/members lies? Most importantly, he does not address any of my complaints The disruptiveness of the office (all kinds of noise distractions), audio equipment not working properly, seeing a different person two out of four times (who was a trainee), and not communicating with my therapist in an attempt to facilitate the process As for the waiting because one of his clients may be in distress, I can tell you that two out of the four times I waited, he was in his office making follow up phone calls, and the other time he was meeting with his staff, which is when I heard him drop the “f” bomb! Not acceptable, and an example of one of his many liesHe mentioned in his reply that if I had spoken up earlier and voiced my concerns, it would have helped Well, I did bring it up, and we spoke by phone after my second sessionI called Joshua and spoke to him about my dissatisfaction with the process and many of the things I mention throughout these two complaints He became very defensive, and told me to just keep coming! So we did have a conversation about my dissatisfaction after just two sessionsFinally, as others have commented before me, this practice is operating under a condescending, angry, and poorly managed/facilitated leadership If you can deal with all of this, all they really offer are CD’s that you listen to, recorded by others, that all refer to Weight Loss, which is not why I was thereSo once again, the outcome I am looking for is a refund for $259.00, which is the pro-rated amount for the two sessions we never completed as a result of this complaintThank You and I look forward to hearing back from you.” Regards, [redacted]

A check has been sent for the full amount to this client over a week ago, so I'm not quite sure why I am responding to a complaint on this site The facts are: the client came in on 10/12, signed a contract, paid in full that night, several days later we received a call from her bank The ensuing phone conversation revealed that an unrelated party with no prior experience with hypnosis mislead this women that was so enthusiastic to participate in the potential solution to her child's problem Also, as stated clearly to all who enter a program, this is not therapy, it has never been and never will beI wish both the mother and son the best of luck into the future

We, as a staff, have reviewed John's response and we stick by our written contracts, the process used that has been successful for our clients for over a dozen years, and our previous statement Our staff, again, is fully trained and operates in a relaxed environment We wish John luck into the future

The only interactions we've had with this client are positive ones There was a scheduling conflict, as mentioned, and the offer was extended that he wait 10-minutes before beginning; he refused, choosing instead to make the mile roundtrip the next day The following day he
cancelled on short notice, an act that would normally incur a fee, but the fee was waivedNot one of these points had been brought up in person, and many are embellished; the client lost weight and made permanent changes to his lifestyle (from what he said to me, in the 10-minutes I interviewed him every week) and praised the program every week to me personally while he went through it If there is any further need for discussion, I would urge the client to present his questions to us personally, rather than wasting his time creating complaints on this website

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowAttached is the audio tape for weight loss that was given to me on my initial visit to alternative hypnosis. I find it very sad that the director's reply is and it seems like he is in denial. It's very sad when someone tries to mislead someone and say that they are going to receive a certain service and receive the total opposite. I think at the point the only ethical thing to do is refund me my $for services not rendered. I hope he doesn't continue to mislead other innocent people. How does the attached tape have anything to do with insomnia?

As you can see in your complaint history file, we have very few complaints come to usThis may be the 5th or 6th complaint in years actually. And we see between and people per day, depending on the time of yearThe reason for this is that we strive to make sure that our clients
receive more than they paid forOur staff is trained to give times more than what is paid forBefore any person is accepted into one of our customized hypnosis programs to assist them in reaching their personal goal, they must attend a free hypnosis screeningIt is at this screening that we thoroughly explain all aspects of their programThis includes what we will do for them and what is expected of themOur service guarantee explains that we cannot ethically guarantee human behavior, and do not give refunds, but offers extra sessions at no additional cost, regardless of how many are neededThe program that *** entered into was for weekly sessions followed by monthly sessionsOur sessions are priced at $per sessionIf a person comes to us for one session $is what we charge for that sessionThe total value for ***'s program if it was to be priced by session would be $4,800, but because she was doing an entire weight-loss program we greatly discounted the program bringing the total cost to $1577, and we allowed her to pay for his program over time, interest free, tax includedThis means that he would pay for roughly sessions and materials, and the remaining sessions are free of chargeWe offer this huge discount so we can make the program available for a very reasonable costAs the lifetime service guarantee states, if they feel they need or would like extra sessions once their program is complete, those sessions are also free of chargeThis part is key to ***’s complaint and, frankly, most of the rest of them on here: we ask every client, whose responsibility is it to lose the weight, quit smoking, etc at the end of the free screening and before they are accepted into a program In order to be accepted into one of our hypnosis programs, the client must admit it is their responsibility. The prospective client, whether man or woman, young or old, must be accountable for the changeWe can help them, but we cannot make themIn our office we have books filled with hundreds of testimonials from satisfied clients who are more than happy with the service we provideIn regard to ***'s claim that the staff was late for every appointment, there were two extenuating circumstances where staff hypnotists couldn’t get to the clinic on time due to family issues. Normally, people accountable and ready to change would ignore the five or ten minutes that they had to wait. Normally, due to high amounts of personal attention given to each client, clients will understand if they had to wait much longer than that, like one would in a doctor’s or dentist’s office ( It is made clear that we are not doctors, nor never claim to be.) Showing up to an appointment minutes early and complaining that you have to wait thirty minutes to be seen is not a reasonable or mature complaint *** paid $of the $weight-loss program that she purchased on 4/19/2016. She attended three sessions: 4/25/2016, 5/9/& 5/16/2016. On the third appointment, at around 9:am, she became very loud and verbally abusive, using vulgar language directed at all members of the staff. We attempted to continue with the regularly scheduled session, and she only continued to become louder and more abusive. It was at that time that she was instructed to either take a second and get it together, reschedule for another time, or leave. She chose to leave, shouting vulgar things and slamming the door on the way out. We expect a certain amount of “acting out” during the process of change. The behavior that *** exhibited far exceeds anything that will be tolerated in this clinic. The ironic thing about this interaction, and what made ***’s behavior so surprising, is that she reported back to us that she thoroughly enjoyed the hypnosis; however being made to wait, even for a few minutes, was the source of the tantrum. Our proposed solution is the remaining $1,owed on the discounted weight loss program can be waved for ***. In addition, all contracts signed by both parties, including the lifetime service guarantee and as stated in the contracts, shall be waved as well. Our goal is to assist *** in reaching her weight loss goalsShould *** decide to change her current attitude and come in for her sessions with total commitment, true accountability and a desire for change, we believe that she would be successfulRespectfully yours, Joshua K

The contract in question is sessions for $ The client received a free session lasting approximately hourWhen a person has a feeling of hopelessness, its unfortunate that one of the choices can be to lash out at the people that can help them the most The client in question
received ample attention and, when faced with relief from the problem he presented, fell out of contact and refused to follow any instructions given At Alternative Hypnosis, we work with all types of stress related issues, including weight loss and smoking This client is urged to re-establish contact and expect to relieve himself from his confidential issues

The clients mentioned received over hours of service from our veteran staff, were never subjected to profane language and had an issue only after experiencing a delay of minutes due to another client having a personal issue that needed resolution, a process that took longer than we expected
I'm positive the Revdex.com has an opinion concerning the amount that should be refunded, and when a stand-alone session is provided by us it is quoted at $400/hour We offer packages for weight loss, smoking cessation and stress relief so more clients can afford to get results * $= $5600, so, if the clients in question had exercised some understanding and stuck with the program as promised, they would've done so at a massive discount (take into consideration that one client was comped an 6-session stress package so she could be more familiar with the hypnotic process while her daughter lost weight with hypnosis.) And, regardless of the outcome here, I truly wish both ladies achieve their stated goalsI look forward to the Revdex.com's response to this matter so we can resolve it cleanly

The two subjects that are emphasized the most in the early stages of the weight-loss program are as follows: commitment and the ability to follow directionssubjects that have worked for thousands upon thousands of clients Every client is screened extensively to insure that they

Revdex.com spoke to [redacted] at the business and the following was relayed:The audio the consumer received was titled "[redacted]", which is a CD for people who have difficulties with and a fear of feeling scrutinized by others. He also received a personalized CD. The "[redacted]" CD references weight loss twice briefly within 29 minutes as that is one issue in the many for individuals who struggle with feeling scrutinized. The customer did attempt to charge back with his credit card but the bank dispute was determined to be in our favor.

Thank you."On 10/18 at 3:16 p.m. I received another email from Alternative Hypnosis stating: "He will also be sending you a check as well so if you could wait as well until next week. Roma."on 10/18 at 4:11 p.m. I responded: "Roma, when I wrote to Josh on September 18, I indicated I would be willing to settle within 10 days of the email. I actually waited until today, which is 21 days, before I filed a complaint. I will wait until next week to receive a check. Thank you. [redacted]." I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. 
I accept Mr. K. offer to release me from this contract, but I strongly object to his accusations that I was abusive in any way. At no time in the course of the conversation did I become loud or use inappropriate language. Furthermore, leaving clients waiting in the hallway for thirty minutes hardly makes a good impression or adds to the  to the clients confidence in the comoany. In addition, Mr. K. failed to mention that I was not the only client to cancel that day for the same reason. Perhaps Mr, K. should assess his personal skills regarding client relationships.

I know you have indicated no response is needed at this time. However I have read the response from Joshua K. date 5/25/2016. On May 19, 2016 when I had an appointment at 1:30 I spoke with a woman I had never even seen before. She could not even find me in the files. Joshua came out and said what do you need and I told him I was supposed to come Thursdays at 1:30. He said we are very busy today. I said I drove 130 miles to get there and he said if you want to hang around I will try to get you in. No mention of 10-15 minutes was ever stated. They asked if I could come back at 12 noon on May 20,2016. Rather than argue in front of their other clients I took the appointment with every intention of filing this complaint. I called early in the AM on May 20, 2016 to cancel the appointment. So early they were not even open and left a message. He continued to say I always praised the program and I said I lost weight and everything was good. I never once said I had lost weight and told him I didn't think so. I asked about a concern every time and was always told they would be addressed in the session. Twice I was seen by a trainee hypnotist. As appointments went on I would be taken in later and they would last longer. A couple times while I was waiting for Joshua to come back I had to go to the restroom and when I returned another person was in the room and a client in the waiting room hand me my CD and literature.
