Alternative Hypnosis

On March 29, 2016, when John attended the free hypnosis screening for Stress Relief, he (like all other clients) was asked three very important questions:  1) do you believe he could get his results here, to which he answered 'yes'. 2) If we accept you into the clinic, who's responsibility is...

it to get the results, to which he responded it is his.  3) Do you want our help, to which he responded, 'yes.'  Only after answering these three questions correctly, and passing both hypnotizability tests, was John accepted into a stress program that consisted of 6 sessions.  If he at anytime believed that we were magically responsible for his results or his actions, it was never made apparent in that screening or his first two-hour session, and claiming to have entered the program under any other assumption without addressing the staff is harmful to both of our roles.  If you read past complaints, which are a handful of instances in a sea of over a thousand clients in the past ten years, you'll see that there is something in common:  they all seem to want scapegoats for the quite tragic pain that they are in.  Everyone answers the above three questions before we even begin to contemplate whether or not to accept them in.  As it stands with the wait, well, clients may have to wait when they come in for service.  If another client is crying her eyes out in the other room or some other circumstance were to happen ahead of your scheduled time, note that we would help them all the way through it the same we would do with you.  If someone has to wait 15 or 20 minutes while we do that, its unfortunate but it happens (saying that there was a 45-60 minute wait is false.)  Our staff is fully trained and certified with hundreds of clinical hours, and we stand behind them 100%.  John not only failed to follow instructions, but blamed others for his resistance and wasted a list of people's time to do so.  I personally wish him all the luck in the world in finding a way out of the tremendous pain and confusion he seems to be experiencing at his age, and, as it has always been, all his information is confidential.

The check has not been sent out because I was out of town and had to calculate the amount of service both clients received against what she was requesting.  She has increased what she is asking, making this look a little bit like extortion.
