Alternative Online Design Reviews (65)

The response from Alternative Online Design is not acceptable. The first statement is mostly false. The only one on one training I have receive was to be walked through how to set up my [redacted] page. This person, Scott, who walked me through the ** set up then told me that he personally did not use [redacted] or [redacted] therefore He could not instruct me how to do it. He also told me that he didn't think it would be helpful to promote my business using those social media sites. I did infact purchase the directed traffic, SEO, and whatever other ways would help my website generate the income I desired. However, I have received no proof or evidence that they have done those things. The sales commissions certainly don't reflect it either. The total sales commissions earned is only $262.35, plus $700.00 from Advertising Bonuses which are generated when they recruit someone else to buy into this business. The remainder of the money I received was from another campaign that they ran.
Their statement that I was informed on several occasions during the first year that their hosting and domain ownership was only for one year is totally false. It was only after the domain expired and I contacted them that I was told that it was only for one year and that it was in the contract. No one had even mentioned that to, nor had they ever mentioned  the name [redacted] or their involvement in this. I wasn't informed until after the domain expired.
As for the video tutorial, I have tried to use it, but I don't understand the things it talks about because it is designed for people who are savvy about those things and I am not. And I can not see the visuals because they are too small.
I am fully aware that there are no guarantees for the success of any business but in this case their sales people, Mike and Brook, did say, "I promise that this business will be successful that we will do all the work, and you will make a lot of money."

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I need to re-open case #[redacted].  The company stated in February that they had refunded the money, but it has never been refunded.  They have not provided any services or had contact with us.  Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

I am providing a review for Charles of Alternative Online Design. I was having difficulty with the site and undergoing a personal situation that made it difficult to connect with support services. He was always as helpful as he could be and referred me to support services when he had questions, as he was new to this business. Life circumstances demanded that I discontinue affiliation with Alternative Online Design, LLC, but overall the experience was positive.

We have already discussed this with [redacted] and found out it is the same line of credit and will still be refunded as such. The Revdex.com is not the correct outlet to communicate this information and I wish you would contact us with these questions. I have emailed a copy of the refund transaction, with a transaction number for [redacted] to share with his card company. This issue has been refunded per his request and there should be no further recourse needed.

[redacted] has never contacted our customer service department to voice any of these concerns on our business model. It is true we sell websites that focus around Amazon Affiliate program, and offer many different package costs to fit all of our customers needs. We do assign a marketing coach to our...

customers after they purchase, and always make this part known to our customers as well. It is never mandatory that you spend any additional money on marketing, but we would not be doing our customers any good if we only built them a website and never shown them how to advertise it. All of our contracts are extremely clear on our refund policy along with the fact they have their own individual states right to cancel time period. We list each state, and the time frame that state has to cancel the purchase right on the document, with our refund policy on a separate single page document in big bold lettering. Each part of these documents have a signature line along with initial lines to make sure the customer has read them and is okay with them. We are a licensed company and because of this we use our real names, telephone numbers, and street address when working with perspective customers. Everything we do is put out into the open for our customers to understand. If [redacted] would have contacted us to inform us of her dissatisfaction with our company we would have worked with her on either correcting the issue or refunding her and parting as friends. It is our hopes that when reading this reply [redacted] will call us at ###-###-#### and we can work to resolve this complaint professionally.

All of the services in her package was for a full year which would take her till July 31st 2016.  After the work was completed on her website and a call was placed to walk her through these services Mrs. [redacted]...

expressed that she was not happy with the domain name she first picked out nor with the overall theme she picked as well. It’s because of this we took down notes on what she was unhappy with and  built her a completely different website with a different domain name that she picked out and new theme she wanted now. We incorporated all of her advertising services in her new website as well now bringing the amount of work done for Mrs. [redacted] to 2x the amount she was charged for. We did this because we do depend on our customer’s satisfaction to keep business up and running, and because of the line of work we are in it is sometimes hard to separate ourselves from the other companies that do not deliver on what they sell. After both sites were complete and her advertising services were rendered on both sites we sent out another document showing all services that were completed for Mrs. [redacted] to sign off on that she was now happy with everything she received. This was all completed and signed off on by the 11th of August 2015. Since that date we have been in contact with Mrs. [redacted] on weekly basis to inform her of earned income or to give updates on her account. To date Mrs. [redacted] has made over $1,100 from her website and since her complaint has even received one more earned income check with one to go out this week. We have upheld all of our contracted services with Mrs. [redacted] and have even accommodated her wishes in building a 2nd site and completing her purchased services twice. We have reached out to Mrs. [redacted] every day since receiving this complaint in hopes we can work together on getting her concerns addressed.

First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to file your concerns about Alternative Online Design LLC and our business practices. I would like to clear up how we get contact information for prospective customers. We obtain this contact information by them filling out their information...

with one of our top affiliate's such as[redacted].[redacted].[redacted], or [redacted].[redacted] stating that they would like to make money working from home. At no time are these calls "cold calls" and this is because we only reach out to do business with people that first reach out to own a at home business. As for the services your father received (custom website, affiliate partnerships, and 15% on anything purchased) these are all very much true and are covered in the $395. I would like to assure you this is the only charge for these services and there is no other fee when it comes to maintaining these websites. We do have marketing consultants that will work one on one with our customers and offer different types of campaign packages to help boost a steady revenue stream. These packages are not mandatory for the customer to purchase, and we do offer many free advertising methods with Social Media. Our customer service department also will reach out on a weekly basis to help assist with any questions or concerns our valued customers might have. When it comes to our refund policy we do stand by this to the letter. If by the 90 days of owning this business you are not seeing a return on this investment and have tried to work the business (whether that is on your own, or with our great advertising team), simply contact our customer service team 7 days prior to the 90th day and you will receive a full refund of your $395.00. This business is not for everyone and we understand that here at Alternative Online Design LLC, and that is why we implemented this refund policy for our valued customers. I would love if you and your father would reach out to our customer service department, as we have tried reaching out to you and only have reached a voice mail. Our toll free number for that department is ###-###-####

Due to the stipulations of Mr. J[redacted] account this case is currently in our lawyers hands and I am not able to comment on it currently.

It is not true that I did not try to contact their customer service.  Please see the attached copy of the email I sent to their Customer Service and their response to me. I also received another call from a Chris C[redacted] from ###-###-#### of Alternative Online Design at 1:00 CST today.  He tried to tell me that it was "understood" that there would likely be additional fees to market the business.  He tried to tell me that even though their marketing coach, Shawn C[redacted], was verbally abusive, that most people finally listened to him about charging the additional fees to their credit card and thanked him later for his "direct" approach.  Chris also tried to get me to use my credit cards to invest more money for the marketing end.  He said that anyone would understand from the presentation that surely they would have to spend more money to do this business.  It is not mandatory, but they aren't going to "coach" you like the representative promises you unless you are willing to pay more money.  The contract is legal and binding.  Their marketing practices are; however, deceptive and unethical.  ALL fees deemed "advisable" to run this business should be brought out in the open from the very beginning.  They were fully aware from the start of their contact with me that I was older and NOT internet savvy; therefore, they cannot use the justification of "assumption" as a response for their not revealing everything up front.

This transaction was refunded via PayPal over a month ago. John has been instructed to contact PayPal directly and ask why it is not showing on his account. All funds have been subtracted from Alternative Online Design LLC's account with PayPal, and this issue is resolved with our refund policy...

being upheld.

This case has been an ongoing issue with our company up until a couple of months ago.Mr. [redacted] hired a lawyer to battle his claims against our company, along with filed disputes on all purchases made with our company. In both cases (Lawyers, and Credit Card Companies) it was found that we did hold up our services and were in the right with this client. All payments have been awarded back to our company and we have continued to try and work with Mr. [redacted] to date. Unfortunately Mr. [redacted] will not return any of our phone calls or voicemails. Mr. [redacted] first contracted us to build him a business website and then advertise it for him. After all services were complete we took payment and continued to coach Mr. [redacted] on how to use his new business. About 3 months after this time Mr. [redacted] claimed that he never wanted any of this and never authorized any payment. All signed documents and phone calls were turned over to lawyers and a case was made. Again all rulings were made in our favor and this case has been closed. We will continue to try and reach out to Mr. [redacted] until his contracted time with us is over.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me if it involves them paying me the $595.00 they owe me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause you or your father, but please do keep in mind that these are not unsolicited calls made from Alternative Online Design. We only contact people that have first filled out information with one of our major affiliates to be contacted for a...

perspective affiliate business. These affiliates which include companies such as [redacted],[redacted].[redacted], and [redacted] have contracted us to make these calls on their behalf to promote their affiliate programs. Since this is an actual business we were unable to fulfill your requests for cancellation and deletion of your fathers account, because we would need to get these requests from the actual business owner. We did reach out to your father and have since refunded his $395 and closed out his account with us. It is our hopes that this refund and cancellation will rectify this complaint, and if any further assistance is needed your father will contact our customer service department.

Please excuse my oversight on this as the subject line was not of a refund when I searched this morning. The reply to this email does show [redacted] was instructed to follow her 90 day refund policy on her request. Again if [redacted] would answer our call or return our voicemail's we would be able to resolve this issue directly with her instead of using the Revdex.com as a communication outlet. We will attempt to reach [redacted] again in a couple minutes.

We will try and reach back to to Raul again today. As long as the dispute with the bank has been resolved we can issue a full refund

We have been in contact with Mrs. [redacted] and have worked out a refund. Mrs. [redacted] should be in contact with you on this issue as well.

I have been using this company to bring in some extra money .I have tried numerous "work at home opportunities" and this is the first one I have actually made some money with . Not like I am rich or anything but this company has been extremely helpful in answering my questions and concerns. After losing almost $7,000.00 trying an online business I was skeptical to say the least but as the saying goesa the "PROOF IS IN THE PUDDIng". After starting with AOD I have made nearly $2,200.00. Thanks guys

We will have our accounting department look at the issued refund via PayPal again to show it taken from our accounts.

We have been trying to reach out and offer a resolution to this complaint. Have left many voicemails with requests for contact back, but as of today have not heard back from her. We are willing to resolve this complaint just need communication to do so. Please call us if you read this.

Mr. [redacted] first signed up with Alternative Online Design LLC on June 30th 2014 because he wanted a website built to help supplement his income. We offered Mr. [redacted] assistance with paid advertising we have found to be useful to help jump start his business and reach income goals...

he voiced to us. He declined to use our paid advertising methods. Next we offered assistance with our free social advertising methods which he turned down as well. Mr. [redacted] stated to us on many occasions of us reaching out to him that he wished to promote his business on his own. Over the following 80+ days we were in contact with Mr. [redacted] numerous times to touch base and try to offer our assistance with advertising methods, each and every time Mr. [redacted] stated that he was doing advertising on his own end. Finally we received a typed letter on September 18, 2014 which reads exactly as his posted complaint with the Arizona Revdex.com. We promptly reached out to Mr. [redacted] to start the 90 day policy refund, and it was at this point we issued Mr. [redacted] a full refund of his initial investment of $600 and considered this case to be closed.
