Altitude Contracting was greatSummary: super responsive, on top of everything, went above and beyondLong story: We needed a new roof, but along with that, I wanted to remove an old swamp cooler, take out a defunct furnace and water heater stack, get rid of two “whirlybird” vents and replace them with something more streamlined, like box vents or a ridge ventI reached out to Altitude Contracting, and John (project manager) got back to me right awayHe came over, answered all my questions and walked me through the process of submitting an insurance claimI submitted my claim, and John came out to meet the insurance rep so he could be on hand during the inspectionAltitude scheduled the roof replacement within a couple weeks, and John stayed in touch with me to keep me updatedThe crew showed up early on install day — along with John and the company owner, who came by just to introduce himself and make sure everything was on trackI wanted to install a ridge vent with the new roof, but our house didn’t have soffit vents to make a ridge vent more effectiveAfter discussing with John, he found a handyman to cut and install soffit vents and handled all the scheduling for that side projectI didn’t have to do anythingThere was a little hiccup with a ladder making a couple small scrapes on our sidingJohn got some paint (which he had to take back to get the color to match perfectly) and did the touchups himselfThe company did everything by the book: They pulled a building permit, and the roof passed inspection on the first goI could not be happier with the resultThese guys are greatP.SAs a woman who often hires/works with men for various home improvement projects, I really appreciated John's no-BS, no-condescension approachI never once felt like he was talking down to me or trying to pull one over on me
