The customer is working with our customer service department. The customer created an account on the website and paid for membership with his credit card but was having trouble logging into the site. Customer service will assist him with log in.Thanks

Hello,Here is the email I just sent to the customer directly from her direct contact, I will copy and paste it here:
Thank you for contacting us about the charge.  I am showing that you purchased an annual upgraded membership on the [redacted] high school alumni site.  The most recent...

charge was your annual payment renewal for the next year.  This type membership with the recurring charge was agreed to at the original time of purchase.  There has always been the option to change it to manual renewal to stop future payments in the "my profile" area under "Membership renewal type".  Please let me know if you have trouble locating this and you'd like me to cancel future charges for you.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: he product misrepresented itself.  Came up on an ALUMNI WEBSITE.  My profile is empty if that is considered that I opened up.  Many many other profiles are empty but give you the appearance people have replied.  this website has little if any information too it.  As I said before, I looked at deceased classmates and one name was listed which would be better if that was the case, but unfortunately it is not.  Not accurate page, leads people into thinking it is official.  Just came up as pop-up when I was looking at Ken East Alumni website.  Had pictures of official gear for sale.  Very misleading.  That is just very small print which leads people astray as noted by all the recent additions of 1967 graduates looking for information on their 50th reunion.  Takes advantage of people not as tech savy.  Shameful.
Sincerely,

Review: I would like to exchange a shirt I bought for a different size. The company refuses to cooperate and sent me a quote from their website. Hello,"Refund Policy:We guarantee all our products against manufacturer defects and any errors in the customization of your order that differ from the information you submit to us at the time of your order. If we determine that a product is defective or we have made an error, we will replace your order at no charge. (Inquiries must be made within 14 days of receiving product). All orders are custom made at the time the order was submitted and therefore we do not take returns, exchanges or cancellations. Please be sure you select correct sizes, colors and designs before final purchase. AlumniClass.com attempts to be as accurate as possible with product descriptions, colors and images. We do not warrant the color or sizes as they vary from our suppliers."I can offer to remake you something else at a discount, please let me know how you would like to proceed.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to issue me the same product in a different size. Since there is no sizing chart on the site, I think this is a reasonable request. I purchased three shirts for someone, all in the same size from three different websites, and the ones purchased elsewhere fit fine.

Response:

Thank you for your email and we do appreciate your order. As mentioned in our policy, "All orders are custom made at the time the order was submitted and therefore we do not take returns, exchanges or cancellations. Please be sure you select correct sizes" It is the customers responsibility to select properly. The customer states here is not a size chart but in fact there is a size chart link directly below every product. Example: [redacted]

Review: I had Googled my alumni association and this website popped up, which I took to be legit. Had my alumni association name and school colors all over it. I entered my info. A day or so later I start getting email from them. In the FROM field is the name of my HS alumni group telling me that for a limited time I can get a lifetime membership for $20. Great deal, so I sign up. As soon as I sign up and enter all the CC info the disclaimer shows up saying "not affiliated with any HS or alumni group. Needless to say I felt stupid. I cancelled the membership immediately. Contacted them through their online system right away requesting a refund (there is no phone number given to contact - obviously for a reason). Got a response the next day politely saying they never give refunds for any reason. Was probably the shortest membership in their history. I'm sure I belonged for less than 5 minutes. Tried to dispute with my CC company and they investigated. Said that because the disclaimer is there I can do nothing. So I'm out $20 to this group of scammers.Desired Settlement: Would love for them to refund my $20 but if I doubt that I'll ever see it.

Review: I was surprised to see a charge on my credit card statement for an additional year of service from alumniclass.com. I was totally unaware that there would be a recurring charge. I have requested a refund (pro-rated if necessary) of the annual fee. An email from [redacted] at the company stated that I could change from automatic to manual renewal on the website, which I did, but not until after the charge was posted to my credit card.

When I had a similar situation in the past with a different company, the full charge was reversed. I would hope that this company would do the same.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $20 annual fee reversed on my credit card.

Dear Customer,

Review: Found a deduction in my bank account from a debit card I really don't use anymore, so it was obvious. After contacting my bank as to a phone number for said withdraw, I find it was for Alumniclass.com. Upon calling them, only able to get voice mail, and no way to talk to someone, I left a message requesting a refund for their unapproved withdraw from my account. I received an email (no phone call) stating: "Thank you for the inquiry about the charge on your card. This payment was for your annual upgraded membership on the Mishawaka high school alumni site that you signed up for. Please let me know if there is anything else." I answered back again requesting a refund, as I have no memory of signing up for this, or it could have been several years ago, and they just keep taking money from my account. They only agreed to "close my account" but refused any refund.Desired Settlement: I would just like to get a refund, because I don't want their service and do not wish to pay for a year that I can't use, and have no intention of using. Besides removing funds from an account that's idle came close to overdrawing it, and making me have extra bank charges too.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9625320, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

This is to confirm our phone conversation of July 17, 2013 regarding complaint #9625320. I received an e-mail from [redacted] atalumniclass.com. She stated that I would be removed from their records and I would no longer be billed $20.00 per month (deducted from my checking account).

I hope this information is correct. I will check my July bank statement to ensure no monies deducted by Alumniclass.com.

My complaint still stands. I never authorized this business to deduct $20.00 a month from my checking account. I believe this is a case of computer fraud.

Thank you for your assistance.

Review: In Feb. 2013 I saw their site and thought it was the new site of my schools almuni. They were offering lifetime memberships for $20 and I thought it was only for a special time. Recently I found out that it was not my old high school site. I e-mailed them what I just told you and that I wanted a refund. They replied that it was not refundable and that they had on their site they were not part of any local high school. I replied to them if it was on the site I didn't see it and would like a refund or I would report them to the Revdex.com. I have not heard from them yet so I am reporting them at this time for their misleading business practices.Desired Settlement: Refund my $20.

Greetings,

Despite the customers opinion Alumniclass.com is a well regarded company providing community friendly alumni sites. Here is a link to the "About Us" section of our website. https://www.alumniclass.com/about-alumniclass

Here is a link to our terms of service which clearly display our refund policy and website. https://www.alumniclass.com/terms-of-use When the customer joined the site they agree to our policy and this is why we are not granting a refund.

Lastly this is the homepage of our website which clearly states we are a social network like the several dozen other alumni social sites out there. https://www.alumniclass.com/

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9550269, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I never viewed the sections that they shared links to tell about their company as I thought it was from my old high school and already knew all about them that I needed to know. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

Review: I just received my monthly credit card statement which included charges from 25 June - 24 July 2014. On 30 June, an unauthorized transaction by AlumniClass.com charged my credit card $50. I did NOT authorize this charge and have no interest whatsoever in their "services"; in fact, I've never even heard of them. I already belong to my high school and college(s) alumni associations. I have called Alumni Class and sent them emails requesting immediate refund of the $50 and they refuse to do so. I also contacted my credit card company and they are going to investigate this fraudulent charge. Further, I googled their phone number and many persons have registered complaints about this company inappropriately (fraudulently) charging persons for memberships - yearly and lifetime - without being authorized to do so. It is respectfully requested this matter be investigated and put a STOP to this company's fraudulent actions. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund in the amount of $50. They can credit it back to the credit card they charged.

Greetings,

Response is in BOLD.

I

from 25 June - 24 July 2014. On 30 June, an unauthorized transaction by

AlumniClass.com charged my credit card $50. I did NOT authorize this

charge and have no interest whatsoever in their "services"; in fact,

I've never even heard of them. The customer did contact customer service and it appears the customer joined the alumni site in connection with the high school she attended. The profile created matches her name and class year and email address. I already belong to my high school and

college(s) alumni associations. I have called Alumni Class and sent

them emails requesting immediate refund of the $50 and they refuse to do

so. The customer agreed to the terms of service on the site which state "No Refunds" when the customer joined the website. I also contacted my credit card company and they are going to

investigate this fraudulent charge. This is great and it is what our service department had requested because it was clearly not fraud. The company will take appropriate action once the credit card company makes their determination. Further, I googled their phone

number and many persons have registered complaints about this company

inappropriately (fraudulently) charging persons for memberships - yearly

and lifetime - without being authorized to do so. Currently there thousands of members and only a couple complaints. The overwhelming majority enjoy the service. It is respectfully

requested this matter be investigated and put a STOP to this company's

fraudulent actions. Making false claims about a well respected company is slander and we ask that the customer refrain from slandering the company or further action will result. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and

understanding. Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

I did NOT create whatever profile they say exists on their site. And I am appalled that they are refusing to refund the $50 the fraudulently charged my credit card. What is happening to our country when a company can glean together general information on a person, create a profile, charge their credit card and the person has no apparent ability to have these fraudulent circumstances resolved? To me, Customer Service is of paramount importance, and AlumniClass just thumbs their nose at this occurrence. Since I have not been successful in having [redacted] at Customer Service resolve my concern, I requested she elevate the matter to her supervisor. Notice that [redacted] provides no phone number, last name, etc. and chooses a person who is on the opposite end of our nation to do this to. And what company who truly cares about their customer service would not be willing to promptly refund someone's money? Obviously, not AlumniClass or [redacted] at their Customer Service center.

Please have AlumniClass provide a complete copy of the profile that was created along with the answer to all the questions, AND the security question and answer. Because when I complete registrations, I'm very thorough. It will be interesting to see if they allege I didn't answer questions or didn't provide all the requested information because I always complete every space in a form.

And what company who truly cares about their customer service would not be willing to promptly refund someone's money? Just google AllumniClass and see what problems they've had similar to my own!!!

Regards,

Response:

The company will follow the instructions of the credit card company pending their findings. The charge is under investigation.

Review: I paid $15 via debit card on May 1, 2014, to this business. Its e-mail to me was sufficiently misleading to make me think I was paying this money to the Lincoln High School Alumni Association (LHSAA) of Portland, Oregon. I recently received a dues notice from LHSAA, thereby finding out that my previous payment did not go to them. I do not have a copy of the original solicitation from the business about which I am complaining. However, I am an educated person and an Oregon attorney, and I would not have sent this payment if I had been reasonably to discover at the time that I was not sending it to the LHSAA, of which I am a charter member.Desired Settlement: I want my $15 back, and I'll be happy. It can be credited to the same account from which it was debited.

The site clearly states that Alumniclass.com is not associated with any alumni association. The customer only received an email after joining the site and agreeing to the terms and conditions. The customer has been refunded and the matter is resolved.

COMPLAINT RESOLVED! PAYEE HAS REFUNDED MY MONEY!

Review: I currently serve as President of the [redacted] ([redacted]). We have requested that AlumniClass.com remove our webpage from their site and cease to send solicitations to Shelby High School (OH) alumni. In 20045 we became a 501(c)(3) organization and do NOT charge for membership. Additionally we send out monthly newsletters to keep alumni informed of events, and happenings. We have received complaints regarding emails that look like they are coming from our association, yet are actually coming from AlumniClass.org. This includes solicitations for membership, to which a few people have subscribed only to find out that the money is not going to the SHSAA. As we are a registered 501(c)(3) organization we do not we do not want our name associated with AlumniClass.org. We are requesting the this page be removed immediately as is is causing damage to our reputation.Desired Settlement: We are requesting that the following page be removed from the AlumniClass.org website: [redacted] Additionally we are requesting that all future solicitation of SHS Alumni cease. This includes newsletters and solicitation for membership.
