American Alliance Casualty Company Reviews (366)

We received notice of the loss on 10/28/2015.  Our office completed a liability/coverage and damage investigation and issued payment for initial repairs to the vehicle on 12/02 (upon receipt of the executed release on 11/25)    There was additional supplemental damage to the...

door which was approved on 1/25/2016.  Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] also tried to claim unrelated damages to his heater as well his alignment and damage to his rim.   Our office advised him that  we can only pay for what is related to the loss and not damages that are clearly unrelated.   While Mr. [redacted] disputes these damages he could not adequately explain how the on-scene police officer failed to note this damage on the police report or why Mr. [redacted] failed to point these out to the officer.  As we have already paid Mr. [redacted] for the related repairs in a timely manner this matter is closed.

I am rejecting this response because:It makes no sense to me for an individual to pay for insurance coverage if they can use it when it's convenient for them.  We have photos showing this person and the damage caused. However, only because HE doesn't admit or notify you of any wrong doing he's not held accountable for the damage caused.  As far as not seeing any "record" of non returned phone calls, you wouldn't see them IF they were not returned.  NO ONE called me back.  I would hate to see what would happen if this person caused an accident that KILLED someone but because he didn't report it, the other party would not recoupe any damage. That's why we pay for insurance in cases like these.  This is a complete disgrace.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

After phone calls, email and online claim form - than Revdex.com complaint a Customer Service agent finally called and gave me the name of an adjuster - [redacted] Left messages for her. She has not called back.
We have taken the car for estimates at shops - done in an hour.
Customer Service Agent told us to take it to their shop for an estimate. We took it there and were told that it would take 9 business days to get an estimate amount.
Seriously - an adjuster who wont call - an auto body shop that needs 9 days to figure out how much a repair will cost.
How much you want to bet that they will come in at ridiculous amount.
This should have been in the shop by now being fixed.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

information for Ms.[redacted] so we were unable to reach her until we received a call from her on 07/21/2015. At that time we set her vehicle up for an inspection and our office approved the estimate and issued payment on 08/05/2015. Relative to her service complaint, we do have a state of the art phone system which alerts us to call with long hold times and all staff is required to return voice mails within reasonable time-frames. The loss was paid within 30 days of notice which is well within insurance guidelines. As to the repairs, if Ms. [redacted] brings in her car to our shop it will be fully repaired for the amount of the estimate. If however the shop find hidden damage during the course of the repairs our office will pay and approved supplements to the shop. Additionally, all the work is guaranteed for the life of the car.

Review of the police report shows that the officer did not find anyone at fault nor were any tickets issued.   In light of this, we took statements of both our insured and the complainant and based on the statements the complainant was over 51% at fault and bared from collecting under...

the state negligence laws.   Alliance has issued a written denial and will not be making any payments relative to this matter.

Haven't tried every insurance co. But this company has to be one of the worst ever.over2 years ago , was rear ended by one of their clients. Been back and forth to court. Went to mediate court. I won. Was asking15.000 in damages. They offered 5000. Went to the mediate. They agreed on 12.000. This insurance company still jerked around. Finally I got frustrated, and settled for 6.500. Signed release, so they had 30 days to issue a check. Well it's40 days now, and still no check. I already lost the vehicle, and have now accepted that. They wanted me to bring the vehicle to some place way out by ohare airport, about 40 miles from my home. I didn't trust the vehicle at that point. And I believe they were banking on that. These type of companies should not be able to operate in this country. Crooked, crooked, crooked crooks. America please stop these companies from taking advantage of the consumers. They hound for premium payments, but tries to send you thru all type of [redacted], when you have a claim. Never ever use this company, or any other with this low cost insurance trap.

I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I have called the company and have phone records to prove it.  The hold time is extremely long.  I am a mother of 3 children with a 4th child on the way.  I work two full time jobs from morning to night, Monday through Sunday.  When you call and have long hold times, I can't wait forever.  I have to get back to work.  None the less I will also be filing a complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance.  I talked with the director of the Illinois Department of Insurance and they too are also familiar with this company and the complaints this company receives such as long hold times, no call backs, denial of claims.  I didn't do a Revdex.com complaint because I expected something out of this.  I did the Revdex.com complaint so everyone can beware of this company.  You know when you do your customers wrong and you have a repeated pattern of it, as I can see with the numerous complaints that this company has, one day your company will have that one customer who maybe you should of actually did what you're paid to do: provide coverage without jumping through hoops.  I can guarantee you that I'm the wrong customer to make jump through hoops because I will keep escalating and escalating through every civil, political, legal and administrative avenues that's available to me.  Should this proceed through legal avenue as it very well might I'm sure that from a business point of view when all dust is settled this would of been a lot cheaper to pay out a claim then fight in court and still potentially lose.  This company has built its revenue on the fact that they can offer cheaper rates by not granting claims, not enough staff hired, and risking the possibility/risk assessment that with certain claims denied, the insured wouldn't sue and would give up and cover the claim themselves.  Also with only having the insured go to only a specific auto body shop it's unsafe because what they're allowing is the auto body shop to fix vehicles at cheaper rates because they're outfitting the vehicle with cheaper parts which is dangerous for our public roadways and unsafe for my family.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
There were things lacking in the agreement that were discussed prior to America Alliance Casualty Insurance making this claim that we discussed $484.47. I was told that I would be receiving a check in the amount of $918. On Wednesday Sept 6th, I spoke to representative [redacted] from DOI who stated to me the necessary instructions to have this issue resolved more favorably to what was originally discussed that I should accept the offer of the $484.47 with the proviso that American Alliance Casualty finds a list of auto repair shops and car rental services with the amount of days and cost (for the rental per diem) near Bolingbrook IL. Willing to make all necessary repairs caused by accident. Thank you for your attention regarding to this matter.
Sincerely,

This was a matter where our insured never reported a loss and never cooperated with the company which is a violation of the policy contract conditions:3. A. Notice of. As a condition precedent to coverage under every Part of this policy, within 30 days of any accident, occurrence or loss, regardless...

of fault, the Company must receive written notice containing at least the following information: a) The time, place and location of the loss; and b) The full name and address of each known person who occupied any vehicle involved in the loss and/or who was present at the scene at the time of the loss; and c) The purpose of the use of the vehicle at the time of the loss; and d) The facts surrounding the loss; and e) Any other information the Company requests in order to conclude its investigation of the loss. 6. Assistance and Cooperation of the Insured. As a condition precedent to the Company's duty of indemnity with respect to claims and lawsuits brought against an insured, the insured shall cooperate with the Company and upon request by the Company or attorneys hired by the Company to represent the insured, the insured shall assist in completing the Company’s investigations including answering questions and providing all reasonably available evidence and in the litigation of any lawsuit including attending hearings, trials and examinations under oath, and assisting in making settlements, securing and giving evidence, obtaining the attendance of witnesses and in the conduct of any legal proceedings in connection with the subject matter of this insurance. Given this situation a written coverage denial was issued and the matter is closed and Alliance will not be making any payment relative to this matter.

My wife was involved in an accident with a customer from this company. Since the damage was less than $500 to both vehicles, we were advised by Chicago Police that a report was not necessary. This company called my wife, interviewed her and explained we were not at fault in the accident. We were told an investigation would be opened and we would be contacted. Today, 07/15/16, almost a month from the date of the accident, my wife and I called to ask the status of the investigation. I was told the case file for [redacted] was closed and my wife was determined to be at fault. I asked how was this determined since the other party was on her cell phone and not paying attention. My wife also advised the interviewer of this as well. The Representative' name was Jackie, with phone extension [redacted], she was very rude, and became more annoyed and irate as I asked further questions. She should not be in this line of business of customer care if she cannot assist with a few simple questions. Her supervisor was not much help either (figures), he provided me a Police Report number of [redacted], which is not in the IL database. So not only did they side with their customer, but also lied about the filing of the police report since Chicago Police would not complete it. I hope these folks, especially Jackie, gets reprimanded for her behavior after I file a consumer complaint.

As with all insurance companies (including the complainant's own company [redacted]) there are conditions and exclusions as well as actions of an insured party that can result in a declination of coverage.  In this particular case the insured violated the notice provision condition of the...

policy contract and coverage was properly denied for the loss.   The complainant unsubstantiated allegations that Alliance would instruct their insured to not to report a loss and then leave that insured without coverage (after allegedly having instructed them to not report a loss) is simply not factual and borders on Libel.  In fact, on each and every loss we immediately send out a written report of the loss to the insured and we can accept an insured report through our intake department or online 24/7 on our website.  While it is certainly unfortunate that the insured themselves decided to violation a key provision often policy contract, it is in no way illegal or improper for Alliance to have issued a coverage denial like every other insurance company (including [redacted]) does.

I am rejecting this response because: October 6th 2016 I did report that too the police. I have a police report to prove it. I have a police report for October 6th 2016 and I also have a police report for November 5th 2016 I have full coverage on my car. October six 2016 has nothing to do with the hit-and-run I had on November 5th 2016. It took them a month-and-a-half even respond to see what's going on with my car. You guys have a policy I have full coverage on my car so therefore you either fix it or you either give me a brand new car
Sincerely,

We did received all the signed documents and a payment was issued on 11/20/2017.  At this point Mr. [redacted] will have to wait until the [redacted]e delivers the check to his address.

As with any auto accident our office must complete a full investigation of all the facts surrounding the loss prior to making a coverage and or liability decision. Depending of the facts of the loss and the cooperation of the parties involved, the time it could take to resolve such issues can...

vary.  In your case it appears our claims staff has spoken with you and updated you on numerous occasions.  I show that our office recently received the police report and the copy of the estimate and a check for the damages to your vehicle should be out by weeks end.

As indicated on the on-scene police report, our insured indicated that he was hit from behind by another vehicle, which caused a chain reaction into the rear of your vehicle.  We have denied the claim as there was no liability on the part of our insured.  If you have further information to...

submit, we will be pleased to re-examine your claim.

Worst insurance company ever my accident was on 8/24/14 one of their insured t-boned my car and totaled it on the Dan Ryan expressway and these bozos won't answer my attorneys when they call.
