As with many other reviews here, the quick online signup for a free trial locks you into a continuing service agreement. While this is typically okay, you don't find out until you go to quickly cancel it online that you are not able to. After searching the FAQs and the help section, you will eventually, after wasting a bunch of time, discover that you can't simply cancel the free trial online. Rather, you must now waste a bunch more time to find the customer service phone number go through an extremely annoying automated phone system that doesn't work efficiently, before ultimately being put on hold to wait to talk to a real person, who may ultimately be able to cancel your free trial/subscription for you. Sadly, this is a huge hassle and that is their very non-consumer friendly trick - they bait you with the free trial and you don't learn of the huge hassle and time such necessary to cancel until you've been baited and hooked. Then by the time you get around to cancelling, you have ended up paying for 1 or multiple months of renewing service that you are not using.

I also want everyone to know that the Blue Mountain offer, while not technically illegal, is dishonest, in my opinion. I ended up paying 8 months of service that I never used or even knew I was paying for, all because I sent one ecard with Blue Mountain. The offer is designed to fly beneath your radar so you never notice that you are paying a monthly charge. Shame on me for not noticing the monthly charge on my credit card, but shame on Blue Mountain for never contacting me once in over 8 months. They never sent any emails with new offers, never sent encouraging emails to use the service I was paying for, never let me know about new designs, never contacted me once in all the time I was paying a monthly charge. In tis day and age when everyone is trying desperately to get you to use their service, Blue Mountain just wants you to forget about them. Not an honest marketing strategy, but apparently it works. I see lots of people have the same reaction I have. DON"T USE BLUE MOUNTAIN. There are other honest services to use.

Take way too long to ship orders
Per American Greetings site it says orders will be shipped in 2-3 business days it has been almost day 5 now and my order is still sitting in the "Submitted to Fulfillment" status and has not moved! Can't even wrap and gifts for the holidays because your lack of service!

I want people to know that Bluemountain.com is not a good business to deal with. After cancelling my membership, they continued to bill me, for months. When I called them, after realizing that I was still being billed, they said that the last billing that I got was when my subscription ended. I never used it after the very first time, but the woman I talked to said that she couldn't see that information. She conveniently couldn't really see any information on my account, except that, when they sent me a renewal notification, I said no. I had already cancelled! I guess cancel doesn't always mean cancel! She said I could have called, and I told her that after cancelling online, I didn't think I needed to call! She said, "I don't know what you want me to do"! I guess that's what they call customer service! Beware!

I cancelled my membership to this Blue Mountain Greeting today, August 18, 2018. I have used it 3 times this year. I am paying a monthly fee $9.00/month. Several years ago I ordered a yearly membership...I was not charged a yearly fee, but a monthly fee.

I am now told that I have to wait until June 2019 to the subscription to be cancelled, so I will be paying $9.00/month for 11 months.

This is deceiving billing practice, even if they did say that my membership was yearly, and I would be paying a monthly fee.

We do not offer monthly memberships for $9.00. We offer $19.99 per year or just $29.99 for two years. Monthly memberships are also available for $4.99 a month.

The account number that the customer provided is for a yearly membership of $19.99. We have cancelled and refund this membership in full. We reached out to the customer via telephone leaving a voicemail providing our telephone number.

I purchased coins from pch (publishers clearing house) which used American Greetings as one of their suppliers. GARBAGE! Coins were scratched with sandpaper (GARBAGE!). We live and learn not to do something like that again.I’m writing my review so people can be alerted of their junk merchandise! I hope this is read worldwide so people ca e advised of junk being sold!

Free trials actually work. I’ve discovered some real good things with free trials, gotten rid of outdated things and replaced them with newer, better versions after free trials. Now I’ll never trust a free trial again. Bluemountain, I believe, has no intention of giving a free trial. They want to take your money and make you fight to get it back. Thank goodness it didn’t overdraft my account. It may be an ok service, but it’s shady at best.

I signed up with AmericanGreetings.com to use their free 7-day trial. When you go to cancel the memberhsip on their website the page says this:
"Manage membership
You are currently in the free trial period of your membership.

If you have any questions or wish to request a cancellation, please contact Customer Support at 1-*** (Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET). "

This is inconsistent with most online free trials and is not unlike a scam and American Greetings likely has made money as a result of people being unable to cancel their accounts.

I signed up on a Sunday and then had to call on Monday to cancel, resulting in a billing charge being applied.

When I called, the representative asked if I had emailed and I said no. She cited the initial email from account creation that states that email cancellation is accepted. I replied that with a website terms change at any given moment and the "Manage Membership" section is the most logical place to look for full cancellation information.

It looks like a scam. They way that they make this hard to cancel. It's a great way to trap people into losing money through automatic account payments.

And when I tried to edit my billing information (such as my credit card) it's not possible to do on their website. They have made it very difficult to cancel membership on purpose which results in people (like me) being charged money unnecessarily.

Also to note, it was ~3.5 minutes just to get through the prompts to wait on hold for a person.
By the time a person answered it was ~9.5 minutes of wait time. All to cancel something that takes 30 seconds to sign up for.

between Mrs. [redacted] and our company shows, an email was sent stating she was not happy and wanted all of her money back, we originally offered her manufacturer’s coupons, and Mrs. [redacted] declined stating she wanted to be refunded the total dollar amount. In order to process this request, we reached out to our finance department; in hopes this could be done. In the meantime, Mrs. [redacted] emailed back in and accepted the manufacturer’s coupon. We signed up for 1 month of greeting card service online in December 2017. We cancelled that service immediately once we saw that the mobile greetings were not available or working.

Since then we have been billed from December to April despite repeated contact with the company to tell them to stop and cancel.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I can not accept this resolution as of yet because I do NOT have confirmation as stated of the refund and I only see 2 of the 5 charges refunded thus far. If all 5 of the charges are in fact refunded , and the membership cancelled, then yes I would accept the resolution. However at this time, I can not verify that is actually being done.I will also note that I cancelled the membership after the month of December and it was American Greetings who did not cancel on their end and kept charging.

The trial registration page includes a cancellation e-mail address, - but that e-mail address is not available elsewhere on the site and one needs to contact the office by phone, during office hours, in order to cancel a registration. In addition, one needs to be logged in in order to access the FAQ entry on cancelling a membership; it is not available before one has gone through the registration process. I feel *** in deliberately engaging in deceptive business practice and, for that reason, do not want to promote the company in any way. I have twice requested a refund of my membership, and both times, been declined. They have also not made any chances to their business practices to a) clarify that a membership must be cancelled by phone, during their office hours, or b) providing an on-line mechanism for those who choose not to subscribe after having registered for a trial.

However, our email address is accessible from our Contact Us page. Additionally, the Contact Us page can be accessed from anywhere on the *** website. Once the ‘email Customer Support’ option is selected from the Contact Us page, ‘Cancel my membership’ is listed as one of the contact reasons. As it appears the customer had difficulty reaching the Contact Us page, their $19.99 membership charge from 12/26/2016 has been refunded as a courtesy. The customer was notified of the refund via email.

American Greetings has been withdrawing from my savings account on at least a quarterly basis for the last 6 years. I have written them and emailed them trying to get a refund for this unauthorized access. They have completely drained my savings account that was meant to "set and forget" savings meant to be kept until my daughter turns 18. She is now six and the account is completely drained. My bank account is now down to zero and will begin to have NSF fees beginning on the next withdrawal from my account. The issue being is that I never authorized the greeting card company to withdraw from my account. My 13 YEAR old nephew signed up for a trial to send his girlfriend an electronic card. He is now 20. To my best recollection I have never used this service. I have requested they cancel my account yet again and refund me the money taken from my account for over 6 years.
If you could help me rectify the situation that would be most helpful.

I canceled a so-called free electronic greeting card "membership" after reading the small print at blue mountain dot com. I cancelled due to the fact I was not interested in paying $4.99 for a free membership. this is after the fact I did give blue mountain my debit card number with the offer of one free card being sent. I canceled upon learning this fact. however blue mountain has been removing $4.99 from my bank account from April-September 2017. I am on ssi and these charges have bounced costing me an additional $28.00 per charge. In the meantime I reporte the issue to my bank back in May of 2017 and they replaced my debit card and this was reported as fraud yet blue mountain never stopped removing money from my old debit card account...they accessed my routing number.....I have written to the company via email several times also called the 1-800 number and nobody has ever answered. .

this adds up t approximately $180.

I am homeless.

I live in a garage with my oldest son.

this is hideous what has happened as no one seems to care.

that includes my bank.

online fraud has to stop NOW.

My membership ended on May 31, 2017. I did not renew the service as I haven't used it in quite a while. I have been billed for June 2017 to September 25, 2017. The amount is $6.94 x 4 = $27.76. I did not authorize these charges on my checking account card.
