American Income Life Insurance Company Reviews (35)

I got a call today from someone who works for this companyThe lady stated that because I was a nurse (first red flag, how did she know I was a nurse) the state of Florida was offering free Health amd Dental Insurance to all RNs, LPNs, and CNAs as token of appreciation I called their office in Brandon, Florida to verify the information and no one there seemed to know what Inwas talking aboutI called the Florida Department of Health, licensing section and they had no knowledge of such company or offering I think this company is using different strategies in order to get into people's houses so they can hijack a family for hours trying to sale their [redacted] products I'm calling their offices again tomorow in order to stop them from calling or coming to my house WARNING TO AIL SALES PEOPLE**If any employee from AIL knocks on my doorI will make your evening a nightmareIt wont be prettyYou've been warnedStay away with your scam

I just received an extremely harassing phone call from a sales representative from American Income LifeThis person demanded that I meet with them before the holidays regarding my policyWhen I asked why they needed to meet with me they put me on hold and another individual came back on the phone to tell me how they were my life insurance company and they were trying to help me outLong story short, it ended in a not so nice exchange and I will be dropping the policyExtremely, extremely rudeThankfully I've never had to actually file a claimI can't image how I would be treated if they actually had to issue a check and do their job

We have inspected Mr [redacted] swimming pool on three different occasions each with the same out comeI inspected and noted calcium nodules forming in his pool, I told Mr [redacted] this on the first inspectionMr [redacted] admitted to me using a steel brush to remove and grind those nodules from the pool the result was an area of plaster that he had mistakenly removed from the poolI then took a second trip to his house after he called and complained again, again I went out, looked for changes still no changes, the calcium nodules were present and the areas he's used the steel brush on we're still lower then the other areasMr [redacted] then asked [redacted] my partner to inspect the pool, [redacted] gladly went out and had the same conversation as I hadHe told [redacted] he used a steel brush on those spots he was concerned about and the result was a damaged interiorUnfortunately calcium nodules in swimming pools form due to a chemical imbalance, much information is given on the internet about them, but mostly opinionsNo one particular source seems to fully understand the nature of calcium nodulesThere isn't a warranty for issues on pool interiors involving chemical imbalancesThe material and workmanship have a warranty as by law we must abide by and agree with completelyBut when an interior is damaged due to chemical imbalances or metal scrub brushes unfortunately we can not warranty the interiorIf Mr [redacted] would like , we would be happy to drain his pool when the temps lower in the fall and show him the nodules up close and why using a metal brush on those only worsens the interior conditionWe would also be happy to show him an easy way to sand those down very gently without going deep into the interior of the poolBut unfortunately we can not replace his plaster or refund him on this matter

I was offered a free child safety kit and a small amount of free ad&d insuranceThe salesman was constantly calling meI ignored his calls, I knew he was trying to sale me insurance which I never had any intention of buyingThan he stated to show up at my houseThe 3rd time he showed up I told him that I was not going to buy anything but he still set me up an appointment to go over the "free stuff"After an hour long presentation with salesman, I was told I didn't care about my child because I was unwilling to buy their insuranceThey also wanted to give free policies away to people I knowI refusedI have never felt more bullied in my lifeThey use scare tactics to get you to buyDoes any really need $30,to pay for a funeral?

I have had Term life insurance for myself and Whole life for my children since with this company On 08/29/i decided to cancel my policy for myself and my children due to very pushy and harassing insurance reps Every year a different rep calls me and tells me that they have to meet with me to go over my policy There are no changes that have been made but they still need to explain to me what it means....apparently I'm an it and cant retain any information that's put in front of me in black and white Every year I tell them I don't have the time, and they could just mail me my policy information but I was told that its illegal for them to send this type of information through the mail....(sure it is), they insist on meeting at any hour One of them tried to schedule an appointment at 9PM! This has happened every year and every year I tell them that I have what I need.....and every year they come and tell me how much I really need and how much my children need me to have Now I'm all for providing for my children...but come on, using a persons children to up-sell insurance to line your own pockets is strictly bottom of the barrel type of insurance sales As I said, I decided to cancel my policies I called the rep (Charles) who is the most recent harrassor and told him that I would like to cancel the appointment and that I would be canceling my policy He got VERY defensive and a not just a little rude He told me that I could cancel but I would be placing a very big burden on my family, if something were to happen to me But he did say that I could keep my policy and get on the "no contact list." Which means that they would never contact me, even if my family were to file a claim of my accidental death He went on to say that they are the only insurance company that would come to the funeral home to file the claim paperwork, but if I was on the no contact list, then he said that my family would be on their own to file the paperwork correctly I told him that it would be OK and I just needed my policy numbers from him as I couldn't put my hands on my policy because it was in my safety deposit box After giving me the numbers he hung up without another word, while I was talking Training at this company must include strong arm tactics and my way or the highway mentality training This morning (08/30/16), I called the main office number in ***, Texas I spoke to Sierra and told her that I wanted to cancel my policy I asked what the surrender value of my children's policies was as they had whole life coverage She replied with nothing....apparently whole life does not start accruing cash value until after 8-years I was told that the policy started accruing cash value immediately when I first signed up She was very helpful, until I told her to cancel all policies Then she launched into the guilt trip of leaving my children uncovered and unprotected I explained about how I felt harassed and deceived by the tactics of the reps here in Hawaii She went on to tell me that if I had gotten the reps agent number I could report them Then she launched into more about keeping my children's policies active I told her to cancel all of the policies and was told that as of today my policies have been canceled and direct withdraws would be stopped, also that I would receive a letter of cancellation in - business days We shall see if they truly [redacted] do what they said If they take out one more payment, I [redacted] file a complaint and demand all of my premium payments be refunded for the 3+ years that I have had the policy in effect To sum it all up DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

I HAVE BEEN A POLICY HOLDER WITH AILI RECENTLY RECEIVED A LETTER THAT MY POLICY HAD LAPSEDSO I CALL AIL TALKED TO A AGENT SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD SEND OUT A FORM FOR RE-INSTATEMENTI FILLED OUT THE FORM AND ALSO SEND A CHECK IN THE AMOUNT I WAS BEHIND INCLUDED WAS A PAYMENT FOR MY HUSBANDS POLICY ABOUT 1-WEEKS LATER I GOT A CALL FROM AILTHE AGENT ASKED A FEW QUESTIONS THAT I ANSWEREDWHAT REALLY GOT ME WAS SHE WANTED TO KNOW MY DRSNAME AND WHERE HE WAS FROM SO SHE COULD PULL MY MEDICAL RECORDSI TOLD HER THAT I WAS TIRED OF DEALING WITH AIL AND TO CANCEL MY POLICYTHE CHECK I SEND WAS DECEMBER , I TALKED TO HER ON DEC22ND AND MY CHECK WAS PROCESSED ON THE 23RDWHICH MADE ME AT THE BANKI STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CHECKPLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT DEAL WITH AIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SCAM ALERT THEY ARE SELL ING DREAMS PEOPLE WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY THE Y MAKE IT ALL SOUNDS GOOD UNTIL UR RATE GOES UP AFTER TO WEEKS THERE FULL OF ST I PROMISE

Let me start with thisMy husband works as a crane operator, We have been with AIL for years paying $a month for my husband , me his wife and our three kids
The first year I find out my daughters name is miss spelledThank God nothing bad happened to her, Im glad I noticed they probably wouldn't of covered her hospital staysNext I find out that my husbands social security number is not even on our policies that he is the main carrierEvery time I call to the main number 1800-***-*** , No one has notes from the last conversation I had the last time I called !! Its like the blind leading the blind!!!! Because of several different incidences and miss communications within the years of faithfully paying on our policies , I don't trust this company to take care of our familyGod forbid if one of my family members diedIf the company cant handle just getting valuable very valuable information right on our policies , than why would I put my families life in there hands ?????? After deep thought and conversations with my family they said lets back out So I called to tell them I didn't trust AIL to handle my families policies any longer and I wanted to cancel I felt it only fair that if my Monthly payment was due on the 15th and I call on the 16th that I should get my money for premium refunded , the guy I talked to said I don't know what to tell you , you should of called yesterday and I would of! Mind you we have been faithfully paying on time every month for years like I have said I said let me speak to your manager, after a few minute wait I got hung up on !!!!!!!!
Now I had to call my bank after being with the bank since they gladly gave us our money back In conclusion of this nightmare I will let you all know Please don't ever go with this company It saddens me that we are no longer covered right now , but the great thing I learned, is do your research when investing in your families death benefits Im so grateful my husband didn't die while having this policy thats what Im grateful for $ 4,waisted Please don't ever go with the company !! AMERICAN INCOME LIFE Please don't trust them !!!!

Like one of the other comments on hereMy roommate told me that "a man" came looking for me twice in a rowI asked him about it, but my roommate had no clue and handed me a business cardI called the number on the card and the man who answered said that I had ordered a "child safety kit" from the policeI told him that I had no recollection of ever ordering a child safety kitHe told me that he had itI asked if it was paid for and he said yesHe asked if he could stop by again to drop it off and we agreed on a daySaid and done, he showed up to my door on the day and time agreedHe took out two pamphlets and told me how to get my child's finger print on itHe really did not elaborate on the child safety kit, which was not really anything like a kitHe proceeded to punch some numbers and I had no idea where he was going with itI told him that I had no idea what he was talking about and he said that he would explainHe punched in more numbers but I still had no idea where he was going with itHe asked me how much I made, if I had insurance, If I was married and so onI was very uncomfortable with all this, and I told him that I was not interestedHe said that he would explain the programHe asked me who I would like to put in as beneficiary, or something like thatI told him I was not interestedHe said let me explainHe kept on punching in numbers and gave me a monthly payment, he asked "if I was comfortable with this." I said noHe punched in more numbers and gave me another monthly paymentI told him no againHe punched in more numbers, and again I said noFinally, I looked him in the eye and said, "I am not going to get it." He said, "fine, can you fill out this card so I can show that I showed you the program?" Right after I filled out the card he got up and said that he had another meeting to goNever seen anyone walk out so quick and frustrated

My wife was lead to believe that she was signing up for a child safety kit with the Vancouver Police Deptthrough a Facebook link that to her looked like a government registry websiteShe gave her name and phone number and was contacted by someone who told her they were going to drop by our house to drop off the kit
A couple months go by and nothing happensThen suddenly she gets a call from a different person that they will come by that night to "drop off" the kit
The person who showed up didn't lie, he did drop off a piece of paper with some carbon strip that we can record out children's finger prints on, but he then goes into a sales pitch to try to get our information for some kind of insurance policyIt is at THIS time that we learn about AILAs he starts to fill out forms and ask me about my medical history my red flags go up and I put a stop to the precedings and get him to leaveWe get to keep our paper pamphlet "child safety kit" though
My complaint is with the advertising of AIL masquerading as a government agency and putting forth a fruadulent appearance to get their foot in the door of your home to sell you their insurance policy
This company and its agents should not be allowed to do business this way in CanadaI do not appreciate door to door salesmen tricking us into allowing them into our homes to gather our private information and try to sell us their products

Hello, I had recently signed up to get the safetykits for my children from autismspeak page, and the representative came by and was friendly etc, then all of a sudden we were being signed up for life insurance , we had cancelled the policy the day after we were signed up.company also sent us an email verifying the cancellation, a week ago the same representative that signed up for the insurance showed up with blank paperwork and had us signed it, and also took the Ail folder , with all the paperwork.he said that paperwork we had signed was for cancellation, so we thought okayAnd thought, we were done with the insurance policy.today we had received another hit for the amount of and was wondering why when had cancelled so we had called the company again and ask why and they said that they had received paperwork from the representative saying that to please not cancel the policy.that paperwork was the blank page we signed..he lied to us, and used our signatures to falsify documents., so I had told the company that no we had signed the paperwork because he had stated it was paperwork to confirm the cancellation so they cancelled it again and looking into the representative who had filled in the paperwork and will no longer be receiving anymore so not cancel request from said representative, the people at main headquarters we're extremely but that representative , overall made it a bad experience

To whom it may concern,
I have been rerouted from the Revdex.com to contact you about a complaint I have against American Income Life Insurance, specifically the practices of the branch on *** *** *** ***, COXXXXXI have responded to many job postings on Craigslist that CLAIM to be "Office Management", "Front Office Manager", "Customer Service/Admin Support" , "Business Management" paying 32k, 36k, 42k, 46k anually and describe the position as admin support in the front officeI had cancelled the first interview upon realizing from a preliminary phone interview that it was an unpaid training and commission based position selling insurance door to door in the fieldThen, not knowing I had already done this, set an appt for an interview with someone else for the same thing only advertised for a different position entirelyI wasted my time going in and told the guy that I had cancelled the previous interview and was here for a different position, but it WAS THE SAME ONEAdvertised for a different salary and everything! He gave me the spiel about commission based sales, uncapped etc., but again, no paid training and wanted me to stay for an hour and a half long pitch/presentation! I walked outI applied for yet another position from Craigslist that advertised as something totally different with another salary offerIt was described in the listing as a completely different job than the last and AGAIN got a reply from the same guy at *** *** Drfor an interviewI wrote back telling him its advertising, bait and switch, waste of timeI flagged all their postings as SCAM on CraigslistI'm tired of trying to find a legit job only to get roped back falsely into this stupid company!!! It's totally shady and completely unprofessional! What *** be done about this??

These people lie and *** say whatever they needs to to sell insuranceThe illegally obtained United Steel Workers Union contacts and posed as USW representatives to sell insurance to union workersThey have nothing to do with the USWAlso the woman that sold us insurance, Erica *** never got in contact with my daughter's beneficiary to get them to sign their papersWhen we called her she said she no longer works thereHer voicemail says she still works for them and won't return my callsIf she really doesn't work there anymore then someone should have contacted us and we should have a new agentBut almost months later and no one has contacted my daughter's beneficiaries for them to sign their paper workAnd good luck trying to cancel your policy because you *** never be able to get a hold of any body I finally got a hold of someone to cancel my family's policy, but I *** be calling to cancel again because they never sent me confirmationAnd I'll be calling the bank to stop all payments to them

This company once you have a policy/Policies has sales personnel call you at all hrsOf the night and day to try to give you free addendums to your policy. You must san apptfor their sales person/agent and let him come to your home and high pressure you into buying more Life insurance or more policies. They will not take no for an answer.Got a call @ 3:this morning again from an agent.I thought this was a SCAM but when I called the Main number for American Life they til me it was in fact their agents calling and they would put me on a no call list.If I wasn't an existing customer with policies I would have dropped this company in a " New York Minute "You have been warnedSigned an unhappy customer in Las Vegas Please pass this infoOnto family and friends!

A scam companyYou'll never get hold of anyone on the phone and they won't call you back if you leave a message

Monday, my girlfriend recieved a phone call from a representative for an unnamed organization who stated that her grandfather sponsored her in to some no-cost benefitsThey arranged a meeting for this lady to come to our home and explain these 'benefits.' Last night at 7:she showed up to our home as plannedShe had come a long way in bad weatherWhen we sat down at the kitchen table and left our year old to play in the living room we passed around friendly conversation for minutes or soThe business conversation started with her showing us a video about our 'Child Safe Kit'After the video she opened up the pamphlet (Child Safe Kit) and explained how it worksMind you, we still have no idea what this lady's pitch isDirectly after putting the piece of paper and carbon strip neatly back in its bag, she said (paraphrasing) "Now, I'd like to ask you a few questions if I may about your lives to see if there are any gaps." My girlfriend and I exchange questioning looksShe asks us if we have life insurance through work or otherwiseWe both have term insurance through our jobs, me a steelworker and her a letter carrierShe asks us if we plan on our daughter going to college and if so, how much have we saved so farRemember, we still have no clue as to what this lady is getting atShe has us watch a couple more videos explaining the importance of these benefits as she goes to the living room to color with our year old sweetheartAfter these videos our daughter wants her to keep coloring with her so she grabs the laptop and we all come to the living roomShe asks if we realize the importance of being insuredWe concedeWe watch last video while the other two color
Ok, we see where this is goingI am NOT interested! The two of us exchange half-afraid looks wondering how to get her to leaveShe brings up a form with some of our information and shows us the estimate for $60,whole life for me, $85,for Michelle, 25,for our child and some education fund program as wellIt's $per monthShe wants to know how comfortable we are with thisNOT AT ALLShe say's "let's play around with the numbers."
Me and Michelle try to say that we aren't interested in this tonight, and she flat out refused to leave unless we're coveredNow I don't know about anybody else, but I think that this form of marketing is absolutely evil and probably at some level borderline illegalI fear that this is not a problem only with this agent, but with the company as a wholeIt sickens me to see this company with an A+ accredidation and would like to challenge thatIf you have an awful experience with this monstrous corporation I am begging you to leave your story as well
Please put this horrible company out of business
Long story short if you're wondering we ended up with insurance overnight to get her to leave as it was nearing 10PM on a work nightCurrently, we are trying to get this taken care of

September 3rd decide to cancel my whole life policy It took hours on the phone, listening to all kinds of up sales and other programs trying to convince me to keep my policyFinally after convincing them that I do indeed want to cancel my policy, she said that it would take days for it cancel and the check for the cash surrender value would go out after thatAfter waiting almost months I called backThis time they told me that the check would be go out hours after they receive a written requestThe person I spoke with months ago didn't say anything about a written request, and what would the written request be for? my policy has been canceled, and the premiums aren't being deducted anymoreThe only possible reason for the first person to tell me it would take days would be to drag out the process, keeping the cash surrender value for as long as possible, hoping I would forget about itWhile I am sure the practices here fall within the law, they are still questionable and immoral!

I signed up for American income life threw my union and been a memeber for about years I got a life insurance policy on my dad my mom and my fiancéIn June of this year my father past away they didn't send out my new policy yet witch would have been in June of this yearWhen I called them about my fathers death they told me someone had cancelled my policy in December witch I know was a lie because I I was the only one with itThe person I spoke with refused to pay out the policy and told me maybe my union switchI told them it would not matter if they did or not my policy I payed it for a yearThey pretty much refused to help me and told me to call the unionThe union does not deal with insurance policy and they scammed me out of my money after I payed for my policy This company is a fraud I wish no one has to go threw what I didMy father was there when this guy sold me this policy and for them to tell me it's not good this makes me sick

AIL in London, ON is a [redacted] company, they advertise for a "Consultant" for their office in Brantford, they say it is an administrative position. I do some online research, I do not get good vibes about this company. However, I try to look for the good in everything. They offer me an interview, but I have to go to London, 240 km round trip, a tough go when you have no income at present. But I want to work, so I go with an open mind. I get there and it is a sales position, not an administrative position. I tell them this is not what you advertised for, and get told everyone has to sell, no matter what job they have. So I got the [redacted] out of there. So whatever you do, do not do business with American Income Life/Brian Traboulay, they can't be trusted.

I just received an extremely harassing phone call from a sales representative from American Income Life. This person demanded that I meet with them before the holidays regarding my policy. When I asked why they needed to meet with me they put me on hold and another individual came back on the phone to tell me how they were my life insurance company and they were trying to help me out. Long story short, it ended in a not so nice exchange and I will be dropping the policy. Extremely, extremely rude. Thankfully I've never had to actually file a claim. I can't image how I would be treated if they actually had to issue a check and do their job.
