I moved almost 2 1/2 yrs. ago at which time I called AIL and changed my address and phone number and asked for a agent to come out and go over our policies with us. Well 2 years later I receive a call from AIL wanting me to purchase accidental life ins for$5/mo, I asked him to send me info and to have an agent come out to the house and go over our policies. Finally an agent came out ( Dec 2015) a very nice young lady who helped us a lot she explained to us that the policies we had on my husband was term and the price would go up as he goes to a next bracket . I explained that is not what I thought I was buying I wanted the pmts. to never go up, so we canceled those 2 term policies and got him in a whole life instead and cashed in the policies which she explained that was all they offered at the time I purchased it (that was news to me) , she also found that accidental life too which I didn't think I opened she told me why did they sell you that its only good til70 years old so she canceled that too my gripe is I have been waiting ever since mid December for the 2nd cash value refund. I've called at least 3 times signed all the paper work and returned it to them and got the smaller check but not the other one( and I'm only talking about $79 and $134) so I called again on the 8th of this month Feb2016, and talked to 3 different people and they told me a check was mailed the 8th Feb 2016 , the very day I'm on the phone with them. The next day the 9th/Feb I receive a bill from AIL for the expired grace period on the policy I canceled in Dec.2015, so I called back again on 2/12 and this time I was transferred 3 times to get to customer service manager , she finally told me the check was mailed on the 10th a new date so I explained to her and now I will do so for everyone who reads this also, "if I am having this hard of a time collecting $134 what kind of nonsense will my children have to deal with when my husband and I are gone?" this really concerns me and I would like to hear if anyone has had difficulty when the policy is needed. I really don't know if I want to trust this company with something so important to us after all that's the reason we buy life insurance so a difficult time is a little bit easier for our beneficiary isn't it. I was under the impression that I would just being changing a beneficiary form when I scheduled my appointment from 7 pm. After signing the form, the sales man then began his lengthy sales pitch - I am a widow with 3 small children and this sales pitch went on too long nor did I inquire about life insurance. I was never asked if I wanted to proceed. I was asked a bunch of questions to determine what coverage I needed. While I was curious to see what the suggested, I didn't want to commit to anything. I was told they needed my bank information in order to finish the application, I specifically asked if the money would be taken out of my account before I agreed and was told it would not. The money was taken out of my account before I saw any policy nor did I give them permission to withdraw the funds. Customer service was very nice and canceled my policy and told me I would be refunded the premium,but I feel that their sales tactics are misleading and they are not honest when trying to sell their product.

We have inspected Mr [redacted] swimming pool on three different occasions each with the same out come. I inspected and noted calcium nodules forming in his pool, I told Mr [redacted] this on the first inspection. Mr [redacted] admitted to me using a steel brush to remove and grind those nodules from the pool the...

result was an area of plaster that he had mistakenly removed from the pool. I then took a second trip to his house after he called and complained again, again I went out, looked for changes still no changes, the calcium nodules were present and the areas he's used the steel brush on we're still lower then the other areas. Mr [redacted] then asked [redacted] my partner to inspect the pool, [redacted] gladly went out and had the same conversation as I had. He told [redacted] he used a steel brush on those spots he was concerned about and the result was a damaged interior. Unfortunately calcium nodules in swimming pools form due to a chemical imbalance, much information is given on the internet about them, but mostly opinions. No one particular source seems to fully understand the nature of calcium nodules. There isn't a warranty for issues on pool interiors involving chemical imbalances. The material and workmanship have a warranty as by law we must abide by and agree with completely. But when an interior is damaged due to chemical imbalances or metal scrub brushes unfortunately we can not warranty the interior. If Mr [redacted] would like , we would be happy to drain his pool when the temps lower in the fall and show him the nodules up close and why using a metal brush on those only worsens the interior condition. We would also be happy to show him an easy way to sand those down very gently without going deep into the interior of the pool. But unfortunately we can not replace his plaster or refund him on this matter.

Childsafetykit.ca ( AIL insurance) This is a warning to parents who apply to have a child safety kit sent to them. I did this 2 months ago and received nothing in the mail. Then, I just received a visit to my front door from a rude woman claiming to be affiliated with the police Union distributing these kits. She arrives at your door with a folder of papers and insists on coming in (which I did not let her!) to helping you fill out the kit. As if I'm unable to read the directions myself. I noticed in her folder of papers it says something about life insurance policies, then she insults me by saying she's unable to do this without my husband being here as well? I then asked her if she was looking to sell me something or needing a donation, and she tells me that I'm obviously incapable and that by not being aware of the number of children that go missing in North America each day I'm not a knowledgeable parent. ??? English was her second language, so possibly the rudeness was translation issues, but I told her no thank you I'm not interested, she tossed me the free kit ( AIL Insurance policy SPAM) and she told me to rudely have a nice day. Yikes crazy people in the world! Beware!! These kits are available at your local police departments... No life insurance policy or memberships required!!!

I got a call today from someone who works for this company. The lady stated that because I was a nurse (first red flag, how did she know I was a nurse) the state of Florida was offering free Health amd Dental Insurance to all RNs, LPNs, and CNAs as token of appreciation.

I called their office in Brandon, Florida to verify the information and no one there seemed to know what Inwas talking about. I called the Florida Department of Health, licensing section and they had no knowledge of such company or offering.

I think this company is using different strategies in order to get into people's houses so they can hijack a family for 3 hours trying to sale their [redacted] products. I'm calling their offices again tomorow in order to stop them from calling or coming to my house.

WARNING TO AIL SALES PEOPLE**. If any employee from AIL knocks on my door. I will make your evening a nightmare. It wont be pretty. You've been warned. Stay away with your scam.

I have had Term life insurance for myself and Whole life for my 2 children since 2012 with this company. On 08/29/16 I decided to cancel my policy for myself and my children due to very pushy and harassing insurance reps. Every year a different rep calls me and tells me that they have to meet with me to go over my policy. There are no changes that have been made but they still need to explain to me what it means....apparently I'm an it and cant retain any information that's put in front of me in black and white. Every year I tell them I don't have the time, and they could just mail me my policy information but I was told that its illegal for them to send this type of information through the mail....(sure it is), they insist on meeting at any hour. One of them tried to schedule an appointment at 9PM! This has happened every year and every year I tell them that I have what I need.....and every year they come and tell me how much I really need and how much my children need me to have. Now I'm all for providing for my children...but come on, using a persons children to up-sell insurance to line your own pockets is strictly bottom of the barrel type of insurance sales.

As I said, I decided to cancel my policies. I called the rep (Charles) who is the most recent harrassor and told him that I would like to cancel the appointment and that I would be canceling my policy. He got VERY defensive and a not just a little rude. He told me that I could cancel but I would be placing a very big burden on my family, if something were to happen to me. But he did say that I could keep my policy and get on the "no contact list." Which means that they would never contact me, even if my family were to file a claim of my accidental death. He went on to say that they are the only insurance company that would come to the funeral home to file the claim paperwork, but if I was on the no contact list, then he said that my family would be on their own to file the paperwork correctly. I told him that it would be OK and I just needed my policy numbers from him as I couldn't put my hands on my policy because it was in my safety deposit box. After giving me the numbers he hung up without another word, while I was talking. Training at this company must include strong arm tactics and my way or the highway mentality training.

This morning (08/30/16), I called the main office number in [redacted], Texas. I spoke to Sierra and told her that I wanted to cancel my policy. I asked what the surrender value of my children's policies was as they had whole life coverage. She replied with nothing....apparently whole life does not start accruing cash value until after 8-10 years. I was told that the policy started accruing cash value immediately when I first signed up. She was very helpful, until I told her to cancel all policies. Then she launched into the guilt trip of leaving my children uncovered and unprotected. I explained about how I felt harassed and deceived by the tactics of the reps here in Hawaii. She went on to tell me that if I had gotten the reps agent number I could report them. Then she launched into more about keeping my children's policies active. I told her to cancel all of the policies and was told that as of today my policies have been canceled and direct withdraws would be stopped, also that I would receive a letter of cancellation in 7 - 10 business days. We shall see if they truly [redacted] do what they said. If they take out one more payment, I [redacted] file a complaint and demand all of my premium payments be refunded for the 3+ years that I have had the policy in effect.

To sum it all up. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

Please do not purchase any insurance from this company! I purchased insurance from them and them and never received the actual policy! They took money from my account until I made sure that it stopped. I kept calling them about the policy and the business in Atlanta kept making promises that it was in the mail. Eventually I cancelled the policy. I made a complaint threw the insurance commission and couldn't get a dime back because they sent proof that the insurance was in force, but I would not have ever known because I never even saw it until today on the response I received from the insurance commission. They sent in it to the worker who had my case, who in turn didn't consider why I didn't get a policy and they had proof of insurance. There was documentation I never received through the mail or other wise. I should have hired a lawyer.

I wish I would have researched this before getting into it. I too was contacted by my union. I was told I needed to add my beneficiary in person and my husband needed to be present. It was supposed to take 10 minutes. It was hard to get my husband and I in the same place, let alone the 2 hours it took for the spiel. I signed on but felt weird about it. But I need this right? Payments were taken out promptly without anything saying I had a policy. I got calls asking about my doctor. Since I am a Veteran, the VA doesn't just give out information. I was sent the proper form and when I mailed it, I kept getting texts from the representative. I then received letters saying both accident and life were not approved because of the lack of a doctors note. I was refunded the life insurance payments only. I was told I would be told when They received the doctor's note and when they would take the payment out. Haven't received any paperwork, but they took out 93.67 out of my account. If I don't have a policy, how can they take my money? I can't even log in because of the 'status of my account'. So how are they taking a payment with no warning and no policy? I stopped payment (it had me overdrawn) and talked to my representative. Why must they take money out of my bank? IF I want a policy, I should be able to mail them a check. I'm very upset that if I don't have a policy, that they can just take my money. I felt weird about this whole thing from the start.

I was offered a free child safety kit and a small amount of free ad&d insurance. The salesman was constantly calling me. I ignored his calls, I knew he was trying to sale me insurance which I never had any intention of buying. Than he stated to show up at my house. The 3rd time he showed up I told him that I was not going to buy anything but he still set me up an appointment to go over the "free stuff". After an hour long presentation with 2 salesman, I was told I didn't care about my child because I was unwilling to buy their insurance. They also wanted to give free policies away to 10 people I know. I refused. I have never felt more bullied in my life. They use scare tactics to get you to buy. Does any really need $30,000 to pay for a funeral?

after paying 3 years and never missing a payment, an agent called last night and said my paper needed updated. he was pushy and insisted he needed new paper work. when I could not see him, he firmly stated that he "hoed nothing would happen to me or my husband before the new paper was signed or we would not be protected. I have never missed a payment!!!! I even have family members who policies. now I feel life we all have been duped. i'm afraid I have been paying this company for 3 years for nothing.

I HAVE BEEN A POLICY HOLDER WITH AIL. I RECENTLY RECEIVED A LETTER THAT MY POLICY HAD LAPSED. SO I CALL AIL TALKED TO A AGENT. SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD SEND OUT A FORM FOR RE-INSTATEMENT. I FILLED OUT THE FORM AND ALSO SEND A CHECK IN THE AMOUNT I WAS BEHIND INCLUDED WAS A PAYMENT FOR MY HUSBANDS POLICY. ABOUT 1-2 WEEKS LATER I GOT A CALL FROM AIL. THE AGENT ASKED A FEW QUESTIONS THAT I ANSWERED. WHAT REALLY GOT ME WAS SHE WANTED TO KNOW MY DRS. NAME AND WHERE HE WAS FROM SO SHE COULD PULL MY MEDICAL RECORDS. I TOLD HER THAT I WAS TIRED OF DEALING WITH AIL AND TO CANCEL MY POLICY. THE CHECK I SEND WAS DECEMBER 9 , 2015. I TALKED TO HER ON DEC. 22ND AND MY CHECK WAS PROCESSED ON THE 23RD. WHICH MADE ME AT THE BANK. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CHECK. PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT DEAL WITH AIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I rarely complain on anything but when I do I mean it!

I just wanted to spread the words about American Life Income Insurance Company. Don't get fool by these people that only wants your money! Brandon Minor you are a piece of ST! you made promises that you can't comply. You said " call this number anytime you have problems with anything" now you cannot be reach and avoiding my calls!

First my Dad received a mail using his union company's name. He thought it was from the Union. I explained it to him what was the mail is all about because he don't speak English very well, so we send information to back to them, then AIL called and set up and appointment to meet my parents. I have to be present during the meeting to help my parents understand about the papers. Guy name Brandon Minor did a good job on his talking and made my dad to sign up with AIL insurance.

Three weeks ago my dad told me to call the insurance to cancel because he could not afford it anymore. I called the local office in Spokane because that's what Brandon told us during the meeting that if we have any problem such as filling a claim, or any questions and even to cancel the policy we can cancel it anytime. I called three different times and talk to the lady I believe her name is Britney, that my dad wanted to cancel his insurance policy. I was told that she [redacted] call Brandon and let him know and she would have him call me back. I waited and waited for days I did not get a call from Brandon. I called them again and she said she talked to Brandon and Brandon was going to call me back, still no call from Brandon. I called them again to cancel the insurance policy and she said she can't only Brandon can cancel it. So I called Brandon on his cellphone twice and left a voicemail.
Now I am getting frustrated because it is taking my time, I have to catch my dad awake every time I call and it's not going anywhere. I went and post a review on their facebook page about my situation, and I got a reply saying I have to private message them so I did. I called the XXX-XXX-XXXX number and got transferred to different department that handle cancelation. I had my speaker phone on, the lady on the line said he needs to speak to the policy owner so I handed my phone to my dad. She was asking him about his name,birthdate,address, etc. I was pointing the address, and I was translating him the other stuff. Then she asked my dad why he want to cancel it? What is the reason? My dad cannot say a word, so I said why, rudely she said my dad has to answer those questions, I said he don't speak a lot of English. I told her that from the start. She still keep asking my dad what is the reason, and my husband on the background said it doesn't matter he don't have to give them a reason, and I went on about me calling them since three weeks ago, I am pretty sure she heard everything because the speaker phone was on, then she said " ok sir your policy is cancel you [redacted] get letter on the mail." It was just that easy..... but these people like to give customers a hard time. After three weeks of calling them they still took money out from my dad's bank. They should refund him his money.

I feel safe having this coverage because now if something happens to anyone of us, I [redacted] not be a burden on my kiddos or my husband. I have experienced the burden of having to pay for someone's final expenses. My brother in law left behind 5 kids and no insurance. It was up to my husband and I to help their family prepare for the funeral financially. Not even a year later, my father in law died...leaving us once again, to pick up the pieces. I obtained life insurance with this company through shared benefits. I have a Head Start policy on both my kids which is so reasonable. I did some research and it is twice the coverage for half the cost! My husband has 3 DUI's and they actually covered him. I was shocked. Our coverage per month is only $90. So it is basically one meal per month that we take out of our fun budget, to pay for something that I see as a necessity parallel to food and water. The agent who took care of my needs, was friendly and very thorough. I learned a lot from him. He always answers my questions when I call him and I feel like I am prepared for a tragedy provided one happens. I have read some of these reviews and I guess until you experience what I have, you might not think you need to prepare. So be it. Like my father in law said, "What do I care, I will be dead." And my rebuttal is, "Thanks for being selfish!"

This is a REVIEW, not a co.plaint that needs resolution. AIL calls me about 5 times a year. They JUST called me today 2/28/16 after spending 3.25 hours in my home in December. They say they "have a new policy" which states they "must male a home visit to give me a copy of my policy". Says "it wont take long, maybe up to 45 min"...They DO NOT have this policy and they DO NOT need to come out. They forget each time they are already here. AND it took over 3 hours. Ryan brought a "friend/coworker" with him who eye-spied my house the whole time they were here. They lie. I am UNimpressed. In relation to others complaints...I got my refund with 3 weeks of asking for it. Got cancellation verification as well.

I, honestly, do not know how American Income Life received a Revdex.com Accreditation. I have been dealing with this company for almost two years, now, on the SAME ISSUE! It has still not been resolved. I am very frustrated by it all. I am seriously considering seeking legal counsel, at this point, to see if I can get most, or all, of my monies back. I really wish I had seen these reviews before I ever opened any policies with this company. If I had, I would NEVER have had any dealings, whatsoever, with American Income Life!
