I have had some pass medical issues and have documentation of how aiu release my stipends, sometimes the school holds it, until I reach a manager, sometimes they will tend to be on top, but that is only if I keep being on top of the schoolBecause not only if I am concerned about the school integrity, but also the way they put me into another class, which put me behind that cause my assignment not to be gradedThis college is not being honestWhat I don't like is the fact, it took me to talk to a manager that can ask another department to release my stipend, instead of the school releasing my stipend itself in a timely manner, other than that, they will be low down and make me wait, for no reason at allEven when my stipend has already been supposed to be released

This university claims to work like any brick and mortoar university The issue is the curriculum is out dated by years, the teachers teach what they want and there doesnt seem to be a standard in which they must follow
Additonally one instructors views maybe that soemthing is against academic standards while another one actually teaches student the subject the other teacher frowns on How could this be possible oh yes I know now there are no standards
This is the biggest waste of 56,in my life and I would highly recommend no one attend this university It is a privite college looking for money and nothing more

I went to AIU OnlineI was so very proud and worried and scared all at the same time as a mommy and wife staying at home with our kids and keeping things together at home all while staying on top of my school work, but I managed to earn an Associates in Businessthen just before earning a Bachelors in IT AIU decided I was no longer suitable for the school and dismissed meI only had a couple classes left before my Bachelor's degree was to be in hand, but I knew that because of recent events in my family (very tragic ones) this was my fault and I would take thatWhat I wasn't prepared for was the bill that I received for the time I hadn't yet even spent! I am now in default with the school for 3,444.00! The term was just rolling over when they let me go! financial aid hadn't rolled over or anything! I am very upsetI have children, I can't afford to hand this school money for something I didn't useNot to mention they are still sending me emails and things telling me that I can "enroll" in schoolAfter enrolling the first time and getting in over my head with all the student loans and now having $30,in student debt on top of what they are trying to make me pay for that I didn't useThey need to quit harassing me

About two days after submitting the complaint, the company stopped calling. It's resolved.

I had a very bad experience with AIU online. Like many of the other reviews I have read, I also received incessant phone calls, but once I actually enrolled I could NEVER get ahold of anyone. Professors never answered emails. After being in the program for 7 months,I was told I had to purchase $100 software for my computer in order to continue my courses. I was never told of this added expense up front. I declined to purchase the software because I could not afford it,and no one could give my a solid reason why I even needed it. The day after, I was blocked from logging into the system, and received an email stating I had been un enrolled. No one would answer my calls or return frantic emails to tell me why this happened, and several months later I get a bill for 3k . This was two years ago. I have not paid because I do not feel I am liable since I was basically kicked out . Now because of interest they want 6k from me. This has been the worst experience of my life and has seriously hurt my credit. NEVER attend this school!!!

I got withdrawn 4 times even though I am an A+ student and submitted all of my work before I went on vacation! They are so rude!!!!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't agree with the letter sent from AIU.
# 1 They bill me per quarter for...

classes I did not take see withdrawal letter date 9-17-2013 also on October 8, 2013 @ 11: 23 AM. I send a second request to AIU. See email.
# 2 The first bill they send me from AIU. The balance was in the amount of $ 2,466.00 see attach invoice.
I disputed the bill completely you can see they are billing for something totally different than what is been presented on this day May 2, 2014.
# 3 regarding the Sum of $ 2,466.00 they send this to a collection agency they were trying to shake me down for money after sending them all the information they closed the account see attachments, bill from ConServe A Debt Collection Agency.
# 4 regarding The AIU refunding $ 1,523.00 to Stafford Loan back to lender is a lie. See bill invoice from Great lakes Student Loans in the sum of $ 1,761.47
AIU is trying to get money one way or the other First they bill me for $ 4,077 for classes I did not take. Second they send this account to a very aggressive collection institute in the amount of $ 2,466.0 they closed the case. Third I have a bill from Great Lakes in the sum of $ 1,761.47 for student loans.
These are the facts this is an Online School I did not attend one of their campus on 8-26-2013 Was the first day of class on 9-17-2013 I send them writing request I was not going to be taken any of their classes I had 30 days to withdraw. On 10-8-12013 I send AIU an Email. "I will not be taken any more classes" Session 1304A BUSN105 & ENGL 106 Started on 10-7-2013 see AUI billing.

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2014/05/19) */
I have Given AIU verbal, written and email notifications of my actions no to attend this school September 17, 2013 Letter was send out. On October 8, 2013 emails went out out.
In your letter date May 16, 2014 you stated I continued to attend classes September 18, 19, 20,23,25,27 and on October 7, 2013. How is this possible?
AIU has stated they have refunded Stafford loans see Federal title IV returns of funds. Federal regulations. The student will attend school for the entire period for which the assistance is awarded. When a student withdraws, the student may no longer be eligible for the full amount of Title IV funds that the student was originally scheduled to receive. If a recipient of Title IV grant or loan funds withdraws from a school.
The following rules apply when a school is completing a Return calculation for a student subject to verification. A school must always return any unearned Title IV funds it is responsible for returning within 45 days of the date the school determined the student withdrew, and offer any post-withdrawal disbursement within 30 days of the date the school determined the student withdrew. I Withdrew from the School on 9/17-2013.
Why them I have a principle of $ 1,627.
In your email dated march 4, 2013 AIU stated they had refunded on 11/4/13 $1,523.0 back to the lender.
AIU applied $1,115 and $1979 and them refunded $ 1,523 to my loan leaving me with a sum of $ 1,611. The math don't add up 1115+1979-1523= $ 1,571.0 can you explain

Husband filled out a form on Facebook asking about eligibility for financial aid, and this outfit called us 17 times in the first 8 hours from 5 different numbers. Reeks of scam to me and we have blocked their calls.
