They came out for a quote extend gas line for outdoor BBQ grillThe line had to go around ft from house and the kitchen bordered same outside wall the gas line would be extended fromI was never told a quote was not a free serviceAlso the quote was an order of magnitude higher than expectedI felt like the person was not interested in the work and just gave an extremely high quote to collect a fee and leaveThe person wasn't even prepared to do the work they were giving a quote for even though I was told when I scheduled the appointment that it wouldn't be a big deal to do both

Had the most positive experience with a sincere qualified service technician Bob [redacted] Bob took the time to listen to my heating problems and did the necessary investigation to determine the cause of my problemI never received that type of concern from other heating companiesI found Bob serious about his work and truly admired his work ethicBob represents a trustworthy impression of the company he represents

I have filed a complaint about ABC for fraud with the Illinois Attorney GeneralI have come here to warn others about this group 1) The company's sales people are trained to convince you to buy a product (AC/Unit, water purifier, tankless water heater, etc., etc.) even if one isn't neededI contacted ABC Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric as I was having problems with my hot water tank and some various other items that needed to be fixed around the houseThree times they came to my house and each time they recommended I buy a productMy house was only years old at the time 2) They vastly overcharge for their services and products as compared to market rates 3) Their work is shoddy and they don't stand by itWhen I had problems early on with the water purification they sold me they avoided the conversationThis clearly illustrated to me that this was a highly dubious company and one I should not be involved with 4) They sell propriety products that only a small group of plumbers are allowed to work on them as the manufacturer will not sell any non-official plumber their proprietary partsAt no time in the sales process will you be told that you are stuck with ABC for life If you are considering this company I strongly recommend that you don't use themIf you currently are stuck with them I recommend contacting the Illinois Attorney General for resolution I then contacted ABC and they sent out a supervisor (he did not give me his card)The supervisor said that since another plumber had touched the unit that my warranty was voidedI told him that the person only changed a small valve and that the original valve was still hereAlso, I was not aware that if another plumber touched the unit that it canceled my warrantyIn addition, I was never informed that I was buying a proprietary system that only ABC and a few other plumbers are allowed to work onI also shared that since they fraudulently recommend products over repairs so that their customers pay more that I did not want to contact themDuring the discussion he eventually admitted that they are taught to sell products because "that's how we make our money"I agree with him about their deceptive business practices because I had them come out to my home times and each time they recommended that I buy a very costly product (tankless water heater, A/C unit and the water purification system)My home and all of the utilities in it were only - years old at the time

I had an issue with my ground faults tripping the ground fault circuit breaker I called to have one of ABC service techs to come out to look/repair it He went down stairs and told me that they don't make the circuit breakers any longer for the panel I have and it was not up to code The entire panel would need to be replaced with a cost of $ I told him I get back in touch with ABC if I was interestedI called another company out and they "amazingly" found the replacement circuit breaker at [redacted] for $(FYI they still make the part for the circuit panel) and they also figured out what was tripping the circuit breaker Also asked the service tech if the panel was not up to code He stated that it was up to code The total repair was $compared to ABC's cost of $2700!!!! I was lied to not only once by your ABC but twice! ABC is only out to get in deep in the customer's wallet Beware of their deceptive practies to consumers....Get a second opinion!
