Terrible experience...Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs
I am a veteran and First Responder and have been using American Patriot Getaways (APG) since 2016. July 25 through Aug 1, 2022, we booked a week getaway at Saw Mill Springs, a "Luxury Plus" cabin with an indoor pool. Total cost was $4,000 for cabin alone. What an ABSOLUTE DISSAPOINTMENT. I generally get one week off every two years for my family. Upon arrival at the "CABIN" the grass was a foot high, there was garbage everywhere, the grill was a charcoal grill that was rusty and nearly unusable and immediately knew we had been taken. Inside the cabin the carpets/stairs were filthy, the arcade machine did not work and the pool basement looked like an amazon jungle. There was black mold everywhere and water was actually dripping down the walls, doorways and windows. I have many photographs. The waterfall in the pool didn't work and the dehumidifier in the basement was broken. I called the service desk and it was so bad that they moved us to another old, run down cabin called "Misty Mountain Sunrise". I will say that a representative named Dana was helpful and said he would return $600 for the drop down in cabin quality. At the end of this ordeal we received $553 total for this disaster of a vacation. We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights while they fixed the dehumidifier and wiped off the black mold at Saw Mill Springs. At Misty Mountain Sunrise I was lucky enough to clean a propane grill that had never been cleaned and my wife had the wonderful experience of cleaning the entire cabin. The beds were nicely made and the oven was very clean. I almost couldn't believe it. Luckily we found the vacuum and went to work. On the Thursday when we were supposed to move back into Saw Mill Springs, I called and the service desk finally gave us the Ok to return to Saw Mill Springs that afternoon. The cleaning crew, who does not speak English, I speak Spanish, came to Misty Mountain Sunrise and asked us what we were doing there. Obviously another issue that had not been pushed forward by management. Our 2 year old son was taking a nap and was woken up and our 9 year old, special needs son, was completely out of sorts at this point of the four day ordeal. We quickly packed up the entire cabin as fast as we could. Even the cleaning crew knew this was not right and continued to apologize. It was clearly not their fault. We returned to Saw Mill Springs and the cleaning crew did a good job cleaning up the black mold. However, the dehumidifier was still not fixed so every four hours I would empty it for the next four days. Had I not done this it would have quickly turned into the mess we had days prior. One night, while swimming, my wife turned on the dishwasher and the water began draining through the recessed lighting in the basement. Another night, the sink pipe fell off and we cleaned water off the entire kitchen floor. You honestly cannot make this experience up. I called and emailed management upon arriving home and asked for a refund and they said the most they would return was $553. I also just realized you cannot leave a review on the APG site and it shows all 5 star reviews of their choosing. Please use another cabin rental company. We will never return to this sham of a company called APG. They only care about money and could care less about you or your experience. Lesson learned! Run!Run!Run!
Their cabins are nice but they are completely useless as a companyMy family booked a bedroom cabin a half year in advance and we needed all six bedrooms because we're a bunch of adult couplesOne month prior to the date we get an email notifying us that our cabin had been "completely renovated!" We suddenly have a bedroom cabin because one of the bedrooms has been turned into a theater room ( patriotgetaways.com/cabi) and were told that "we had nothing to do with it, the owner made those changes." They refused to even try to find us a bedroom to use that week UtterlyWorthless Avoid if at all possible in my opinion
dead bugs laying everywhere very little heat bed spread was stained directions were terrible! GPS does work they said it wouldn't, entire experience was ridiculous! Would not recommend this panoramic view to anyone! And the coffee pot was dirty! Smh my vacation was ruined!!!!
Good company to work with, they help you with any concerns and keep you updated on any severe weather alertsI have rented through this company many times and will continue to do soI would recommend Patriot Getaways to anyone wanting a quality stay in the Pigeon Forge area

American Patriot Getaways is a great companyMy family and I used their services this month and everyone was fantasticFrom the people on the phone to making reservations online - everything was easy, convenient and very pleasantWe would definitely use American Patriot Getaways again!
We enjoyed our time at Bearly in the Mountains cabin near Pigeon ForgeAmenities were great for a large family and we all had a relaxing vacation Friendly staff was easily available to supply us with a missing cue ball and promptly attended to an alarm sounding on water conditioner deviceThe cabin was clean and well supplied with kitchen utensils and bath towelsSemi-private surroundings were perfect for visiting or reading on the porchI have to say this one of the most relaxing vacations I have plannedThank you American Patriot Getaways and I'm already looking forward to next year!
This property is beautifulIt was clean and the rooms were bigger than it looked onlineThe company was so greatWe had to call about a couple things and they answered right away and had someone out to fix things quicklyWe have been to a lot of vacation rentals bland this by far was one of the best yetThanks for a fantastic week!!

My party of 5 adults and one small (20lb) dog, rented a 2bedroom,2 bathroom log cabin in the smokies for only three days, but had the time of our lives, in and around the surrounding areas during 9 / 1 /16 thru 9 / 4 /16
The cabin , and things inside, we better than we had thought they would be.
New appliances made it an enjoyable trip; coffee maker,juicer,toaster,fridge,stove,
and dish washer made a difference when we came home in the evenings.
you could tell,someone had thought about peoples needs when renting & furnishing the cabin...... thanks again D.J. Brammer
Our first stay with APG(American Patriot Gataway) and must say it was wonderful. Very nice and helpful staff. Easy reservation and booking.Easy to access to cabin. We just drove up and entered our key at the front door and walked in.
Everything was as shown in [redacted] Beautiful cabin and very clean. Perfectly sized for a couple with 5 yrs old. Loved every bit of this property. We enjoyed the pool table. The driveway is very steep and difficult to back down, but otherwise, it was a good experience.
The only wish (NO complaint) that the hot tube was in the back of the property. Although, its in the front, right next to the entrance, but its well covered from outer world for privacy.
Would stay there again.
My wife and I stayed in an American Patriot Getaways cabin on 8/10 and 8/11/2016. The road to the cabin is awful. When we arrived I felt like we were in a trailer park. The cabins are extremely close together. The inside of the cabin was nice but the furniture appeared to be from Goodwill. The cabin was extremely over-priced with numerous fees. I checked and found many cabins around town that were much better quality and more reasonably priced. Don't waste your time or money at one of these cabins.
APG - very helpful with accommodations and things to do! Would use them again - and loved the cabin we rented
