WARNING: AMERICAN POWER SOLUTIONS STOLE MY WIFE'S WEDDING AND ENGAGEMENT RINGS.
They were hired by Greystar/Luce apartments to replace light fixtures in the apartments. The maintenance staff was supposed to supervise as they went into each unit, instead they allowed American Power Solutions to be completely alone in the apartment for long periods of time, at which point one of the employees stole my wife's rings. There is currently an open police investigation.

I'm 74 years old and have no air-conditioning because a brand new thermostat installed on 10/8/19 stopped working. American Power Solutions, LLC, won't answer their phone to come repair this warranteed item. This, with the Solar Water Heater they installed, cost me $9,645.00. What can this senior citizen do? It is all under warranty.

To repair or replace my warranteed thermostat, installed just eight months ago. I have no air-conditioning and am getting sick. I live in southwest Florida where it is over 90%.

This company is deceiving people in order to collect money.
This company came to my home to explain to me that I can save money on my electric bill if I pay them to do some solar upgrades. First of all they said that my electric bill would be reduced from around $200 to around $80, which is not the case I paid them for the work and equipment and my bill is still at minimum $150, but usually more. They convinced me to pay them $10,000 to purchase the equipment to reduce my energy, and after I find out they do not do this work, they just collect payment and find different contractors or companies to go to your house and install the equipment. So in other words, I could have called these companies on my own to install this equipment for at least half the price. They also told me they were giving me $500 rebate, which never happened. I have tried to call and email them many times, and no answer, no reply. This company is lying to consumers in order to get them to agree to pay them, they need to be stopped from ripping people off. If they are going to guarantee a savings in writing on energy bill they need to follow up to ensure the customer sees the savings. Now I'm stuck with a $10,000 loan that they set up for me that they told me the loan payment would cover the savings of the energy bill and therefore would not cost me any extra amount which would make sense if it were true. However now I need to pay basically the same amount energy bill along with the loan payment. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford any extra bills for nothing. Also, the roof equipment has caused leaking damage into my ceiling and no one to fix that either. This company does not reply to emails or phone messages.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to cancel this contract as I should not be paying an extra loan bill when they promised me that if I agreed, I would not be paying anything extra. They need to come back and take the equipment, repair the damage done and pay back the bank the $10,000 that they collected for a minimal amount of work.

Agreement to install solar hot water and power system, hot water system fail inspection and now inspection paper work is no longer valid.
since they started installation the hot water system had to be rewired a second time, because the initial install was wired wrong. There are still two conditions of failure with county inspection they have not taken care of and the warranty is about to run out. the power side I believe is wired wrong the emergency stop has two lights 1 green for running properly and 1 red for shut system down have not worked at all. They stated that this system would produce seventy five to eighty percent of my bill my bill is still about same not sure if system is correctly wired and asked them to check. I have left multiple calls and left messages and when someone does come out they come to work on items that are finished and unprepared for those requiring attention. recently in last two weeks they said they were coming to finish job they gave me a two hour window and mid window I started calling company to see if they were on schedule and I tried from two different phone numbers and no one answered the phone. I am a twenty Nine Year Veteran I am also 70 percent service connected and finally bought my first home and risked an improvement that is now being payed monthly for the job costing 18,233. They got there money and I want what they promised to install working and producing what they promised it would. we are coming up on a year since this started and they say satisfaction guaranteed well I am far from satisfied.

first correct issues with inspection failures to solar hot water system as specified by charlotte county inspector to include your getting paper work for inspection and scheduling the inspection to finalize installation. Also some one to inspect solar power system to make sure it is installed and wired correctly, especially the emergency stop and how to read and what it should be showing to produce the amount of energy to meet the promise of 75 to 80 % of said electric bill. Now I understand cloud and rainy day will affect power production but my bill has not dropped but about 20.00 dollars since the system has been active. prove your system is working correctly!

Promised a Hybrid Water Heater, a small attic fan and mylar insulation in the attic. Water heater too big & fan too large for location promised.
On November 19, 2019, I received a phone call requesting to have someone evaluate my home energy usage for possible savings. I tried to refuse but they kept insisting it would only take 30 minutes tops. I explained, as I always do, that installing solar panels on my roof would not be possible since I have a metal roof and it would invalidate my 50 year warranty. I reluctantly agreed. The salesman, named Lou B, arrived early. He expected me to be more enthusiastic. He informed me of his many skills in previous employments and tried to convince me he knew more than me. I do need to replace my water heater so he offered me a hybrid one, supposed to be very energy efficient. He offered me mylar attic insulation. I had been told by my roofing contractor that it would lower my usage significantly so I was interested. He also wanted to install an attic fan in my soffitt which he indicated was 10-12" diameter powered by a small solar panel attached to the fascia. This seemed acceptable.Meeting took over 2 1/2 hours. After telling me I would not be giving a deposit that night, he asked me for 50% down, claiming he had reduced the price dramatically. He scheduled installations for Friday, November 22nd. On that Friday morning,after an hour and a half after he said he scheduled for, I phoned him. A foreman named Chad T who explained his crew was held up and would not make it to my house today but could come tomorrow. I was not available nor for Monday so he set it up for Tuesday. They were again late, past the window, but finally a subcontractor named Noel came by himself and began the job of installing the 3 rolls of mylar onto the walls of my attic. An hour later, another guy came with the water heater. The first thing he discovered was the hybrid water heater was way too big.and he would have to move my washer & dryer. Since that wouldn't have allowed me to open the door from my house to enter, he offered to put it on out in the middle of the floor or move my clothes rack, reroute all my piping and electricity to accommodate this huge water heater. He checked to see that the lower capacity water heater would fit instead but discovered it was the same size. Then he showed me the attic fan which was square about 24" x 24"x 6" deep and said it wouldn't fit in the soffitt but he'd have to drill a hole through my house. This installer had contacted the owner of American Power Solutions, Rob, I think is his name, who sent Lou out to work out our difficulties. Lou also tried to convince me of all the impractical solutions for water heater. We discussed the space being way too small. He had never measured it! I would've measured it if he had told me how big it was. After all, he boasted he was an engineer so one would think that would've occurred to him. Same with the attic fan. Lou didn't think it was a big deal that my house should have a gaping open hole. What was he thinking? Hurricanes? Rain? Water leakage would go into the trusses, etc and rot them. Even I know that! By that time the mylar installer had finished. I told Lou that if the water heater and attic fan installer had come first I would have cancelled the entire contract. Then Lou gave me the news that I would still owe them $3,615 more because he had given me a discount based on multiple items. I explained that he had misrepresented his product. He saw the size of my soffitt on the gable and he saw the space available for the water heater. Essentially he was charging me $10, 847 for 3 rolls of mylar which supposedly 3,385 sq". Perhaps I should've refused to pay and demanded a reasonable price but they had been anything but reasonable. Also the contract was written under the name of Handy Air Air conditioning and Heating*** and my credit card was charged as Solar Solar..

Desired Outcome

First of all I hope future customers do not do business with these people. I was very disappointed that the items promised were not practical and could cause more headaches than saving energy!! AmPS did not complete their job. I hope to be happy with the reduction to my electric bill but as I told Lou, " Even if this were to zero out my electric bill, it would take more years than I have left to break even with the amount they charged me. Take responsibility for your errors and charge me the price you calculated for it accounting for the service you actually provided! That would've been fair!

Company did not address having overcharged me or offer any compensation for misrepresenting their products! Offering to repair the products installed is an absolute joke since the mylar is wrapped on the trusses in my attic. They are not electrical, therefore I have no way of knowing if they need repairing or not. I asked for a partial refund because they seriously overcharged me! The only acceptable resolution!

The complany has not completed their part of the contract. They were to install a Solar Fan, back in June, 2019. As of today, no fan. The insulation job was shoddy and incomplete. I called the company many times. When they answered will be there Thursday or Monday. If someone did show, he said could not do the job, or we will return with a larger latter. No one showed up... This has been going on since June. Now when I call all three numbers, the call goes to voice mail, and I have not received a call back. I am sure my number has been blocked.
When I signed the contract, and I should have realized then, they sent a woman to my house that day to sign financial papers. It was very weird. In fact, I was not home, and she sat in my driveway for almost three hours. I did not realize then, but now I know I was scammed. I don't think what was promised was or is worth the amount of money requested. I was told my doors would be weather stripped, not done..

I have been stressed out over this for seven months. I would love for them to take their insulation back and refund the money stolen from me.

I also think this fraudulent company is in league with the finance company. Pinnacle Fiance.

I want a refund, they have cost me a great deal of time waiting for them to show up when they say they would. Stress from constantly trying to contact them, and having to pay monthly for something I did not receive.

We have been in contact with this customer and have an agreement for reimbursment.

American Power Solutions provided faulty product and service and continue to not honor its warranty.
Approx 6 weeks ago we were approached by American Power Solutions LLC (AmPS) to update our air conditioning unit and add Honeywell Lyric thermostat. As a hint of things to come, during installation the contractor broke our existing power panel and our duct ultra violet light system. We have spent weeks attempting to get them to repair the items broken to no avail. Now, our air conditioning unit has stopped working altogether. We woke up a few days ago to find that the thermostat was offline and through troubleshooting with Honeywell we are now finding out that the unit was not installed correctly and so it is not receiving any power.
We have consistently called for the last few days about this new issue and each time we speak with a representative named "Cheryl" she promises a contractor will come out to do the repairs or that she will call us with a scheduled time or a representative.

To this date nothing has been done and we are suffering through the Florida heat. We have tried working with this vendor countless times to reach a resolution to no avail and now its become abundantly care that they do not care to address the issues related to what previously was broken and what is now wrong with the unit they installed. I am at a loss at what further action I can take to get this matter resolved.

We need them to repair what the panel and duct item they broke and repair or replace the air conditioning unit.

No hot water since the hot water heater was installed. They do not answer their phone or call you back. Oct. 29, still not hot water.
I have had no hot water since they installed the hot water heater.I cannot get anybody to answer the phone or call me back. They only answered one time sent somebody out and I still have no hot water. I call them about every few days.

Either fix the problem or take the hot water Heater out and pay the finance company for this portion of the financing. It replace the hot water heater with someone that knows what they are doing.

Mister Sparky was contacted to makes repairs at a home for APS by Larry *** at which time on a recorded conversation had with our CSR and Mr R. he agreed payment of $3994 would be made at time of service on 6/14/19. Since this time we have spoken to Larry R, Cara, Keith P., and today Robert *** who we are told by Larry R is the owner. Unfortunately we had to leave a voice mail. Invoices have been mail, and emailed. We have been laughed at, told to call tomorrow, sent to numerous people within the company but still are unable to collect the balance

APS sold my mother, Judy *** $2700 worth of stuff for the attic.$41.00 a month till year 2026. This was going to reduce energy costs. I'm the other 50% owner and was not made aware of this till today. Selling to a 50% owner? Then the energy bill increased.

Unfortunately for the other owner, the owner that had signed the contract signed and stated that she was the only owner and there was no mention of another owner. The Daughter called months later objecting to the install. The Contract was made by her mother and not by the daughter.

Had solar water heater installed which developed a water leak damaging my walls. Have made numerous phone calls over 2 weeks. Leak still not repaired.
We had solar powered water heater, attic fan, insulation and pool pump installed on 8/21/19 for $15,000 plus 5,000 financing charge for a grand total of $20,000. During their sales presentation Philip*** claimed the company had an "A" rating from the Revdex.com company and offered repair services within 24 hours of reporting. Well The Water Heater has been leaking since installation both from the roof and the plumbing. Which has caused damage to my walls and who knows where else. Leak was noticed the first week of Sept. As none of the paperwork we received contained the company address or phone number we placed a call to Philip the sales rep. Philips stated he would be contacting the company and they should be returning our call within "3 days". not the 24 hours we were promised during the sales speech. After several calls and texts to Philip we received a call from Kara the customer service rep. on 9/10. We returned her call that day but the office was closed. Called Kara 9/11. and was told she would place a service call and that we should hear from the repair person that day. The phone call never came. Called Kara again on 9/13 and again was told she put in a service ticket and should hear back that day. Dan the water heater installer called at 12:30 on 9/13 and asked where the water was leaking from. I informed him I was not sure because the water was on the garage floor around water heater and the walls around the pipes appeared wet and moldy. Dan proceeded to inform me that they couldn't come until Monday 9/16 because he had to order a new water tank. His only advice was to turn off the water to the water heater when not in use. I arranged to have someone at my house to greet Dan when he arrived as my husband and I had to work. I called Dan at 7:00 am on 9/16 requesting an approximate service time and left a message as they didn't answer the phone. At 11:00 am I had not heard back from Dan so I called him again. He informed me that he had turfed that job to Larry and that he should be calling me with a time, however that Larry wouldn't be able to come service our heater until the following day 9/17. Larry never contacted us. I again made arrangements to have someone at home on Tuesday 9/17 to meet Larry. Larry never called us he just showed up at 11:30 or so. He climbed on the roof and fixed the leak up by the solar panel but stated he couldn't do anything about the leaking pipes in my wall. Larry stated that repair had to be done by the installer. I again called Kara to inquire about this repair. Kara said she was not aware of that and that she would send Larry a message and have them call me. Waited all day and no phone call. At this point it has been a month that I've had water leaking into my walls and 2 weeks of constant phone calls with no resolution. Very unsatisfied with their service.

Desired Outcome

I expect American Power Solutions to locate and fix the water leak from the equipment they installed. I additionally expect them to cover the costs of any cosmetic repairs incurred to repair the water damage caused to my home due to their delay in locating and repairing the water leak.

APMS in partnership with *** Improvements installed solar panels on my home. For over 8 months the panels weren't working.
AMPS in partnership with *** Improvements installed solar panels on my home. The panels were never hooked up properly, permits weren't pulled and the list goes on.

Once we finally got them to come back 8+ months later, they pointed the finger at everyone else. We've called them on numerous occasions as well as calling *** Improvements (a separate complaint agains them is being filed) no one is responding to calls and we've not seen any reduction in our electric bills.

The panels I contracted for (by the way we never got a written contract after repeated requests); all I have is a copy of a multi part document with a balance due of $20,230.00. When the representatives (2 gentlemen) who sold me this package deal met with me and my fiance at my home, he kept calling "the boss" and having conversations and when repeatedly asked questions by my fiance who kept questioning whether the panels were sufficient to provide enough output for the entire house, lights, furnace, hot tub, etc. he kept assuring her that it would. That was a bunch of lies.

At the same time, a new gas furnace was installed by*** in Sanford. I had to have them come back to fix their poor installation because the furnace wasn't operating properly.

I am at my wits end trying to get a resolution and no one from either AMPS or *** Improvements answers or returns my calls.

All of this was done so I could save money on my gas and electric bills. *** told me that the solar panels would take care of all of the electric I use and in fact I'd be getting a credit back from the power company.

I used their preferred finance company, *** Company LLC and was told by them that they are no longer dealing with *** Improvements. AMPS told me they filed a complaint with the Attorney General. None of this helps my situation.

I am asking for a full breakdown of the cost of AMPS labor and materials, a full refund plus, all interest since installation.

In June 2019, my wife and I contracted with American Power Solutions to install a hybrid water heater, foam installation in the attic and an attic fan. The water heater was installed, the foam installation was completed however, as we have a crawl space and not an attic, the attic fan was unable to be installed. Jon ***, District Manager, informed me on the phone that $500.00 (the price of the attic fan) would be returned to us in a check because of the issue, as it would be impossible to install an attic fan. I agreed to the refund. It has been nearly three months since installation of the water heater and the foam and we have not received the refund. Mr *** has not returned my calls, so I have spoken to Kara ***, office manager/customer service many times in the last 2 months. The answer she has given me each time I have called is that she has to check with accounting, and never calls back. The original sales representitive is Travis ***, phone 910-***-***. Regarding complaint #***. Kara ***, 321-249-7705, ext#1, American Power Solutions, called on Sept 10, 2019, regarding the $500.00 payment that was owed to us. She said that she would have the check in three to 5 business days and that she would call me when she gets it. It is now Oct 4, 2019 (19 business days) and I have not heard from her or received the $500.00 check in the mail. I had indicated in the follow up to the complaint that I would accept the check and the case would be closed, however, American Power Solutions has not honored their promise. It has been 3 1/2 months (approx June 20, 2019) since installation of the other two components and the subsequent conversations about the $500.00 refund. I am a disabled retired senior, my wife is a retired senior on fixed incomes.

I was promised a $200 gift card from Master Card. I'm still waiting.
On May 28th 2019 America Power Solutions installed two solar attic fans on the roof of my home. Because the installation was suppose to arrive between 11AM and 3PM, but did not arrive until after 6PM, and they never called to say they would be late, I told them I had called and cancelled the sale. Before they left my property they called into their office. I immediately receive a phone call from Jonathan *** who said he was the sales director. After some negotiation we agreed that I would accept the installation of the attic fans and he promised to send me a $200 Visa Card to appease me if I went through with the sale.
Never receiving anything in the mail, I called 321-*** and spoke to " Cara " at their office. I was told Mr. had been in a auto accident and was recovering from injury. I called a couple of weeks later and was told my $200 gift card was in Accounting waiting for approval. I called again of about a week later and was told the same thing. I was not given any time frame as to when the gift card would be "approved" only that I was on a long list. I then called my salesman, Mr. B and he game me Mr. cell number 407-*** which I called twice and left messages for him to please call me asap. Today is 07-09-2019 and I'm still waiting. I wished I would have checked with the Revdex.com before I signed the contract.

This business is horrible. We have been asking them for 3 months to please fix our solar water heater that they damaged on install and they will not honor their work and repair their damage.

I am very dissatisfied with this company. Total lack of communication from the top down. I was lead to believe Id have lical service and it was all from out of town. The solar water heater was installed a d the men that were here were very good and professional. They had to return twice because of misinformation. The insulation company they used have been very unprofessional and rude. I have a mess of insulation in my utility room that has yet to be cleaned up.
Once you sign the electronic paperwork forget any correspondance!

1/18/2019 contracted for Solar energy home upgrade. The panels were installed as promised and we were asked to help out the sales person by signing a completion form to save Billy B. a two hour trip from Lake Mary. We foolishly agreed. They collected their money from the bank and now are unable to contact them. We leave messages but never receive a return call. We were also told they would reimburse Bank payments till the work was completed.

Solar panels not working and poor customer service.
We had solar panels placed by this company over a year ago. We have been paying for the solar panels in loan form. We have not seen the benefits which were stated when we purchased them. It has been over a year to have anyone come out and help fix the situation. The company will not call back. They have written down a specific KWH that we should be receiving but the product place will not even produce that amount. We feel as though we have been scammed and are now in debt $30,000.

They have had service and have been up and running. Despite the system producing what it is supposed to be, they claim it should be producing more. We have tried everything to let them know our paperwork and contracts only guarantee a Killowatt produced, not a dollar amount of savings. This is simply because it is impossible to guarantee a dollar amount of savings, as we cannot control two aspects...what the homeowner does in the home. In other words, how much electricity they choose to consume. They could start consuming and using more, right after we install our products. Two, what the power company charges. They raise their rates all the time. For these reasons, it is our company policy to never guarantee a dollar amount of savings, rather a killowatt amount produced from the system. This system has been checked multiple times, it is producing, it did pass inspection, and the power company verified they are receiving their savings. At this point, it was escalated to our legal department. Our attorney has reached out and explained this as well, and has not heard back at this point. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This company needs to be shut down they are a fraud and my system doesn't work and get anyone to call me.

What number did you call. My cell phone number is*** and no one has called me from your company. I have had 8 on your side out to my residence to do a story. I have been dealing with this for two years. I have in writing where they told me I would save $230 a month on my power bill which apparently is a lie. This a breech of contract. Someone is doing some illegal stuff because I spoke to Jennifer from *** yesterday and she said the company that sold us this piece of *** was not *** it was American Power Solutions even though all my paperwork says simply solar. GET IT TOGETHER YOU ***.
