Hi ***,They put a stop payment on the check on October The funds were withdrawn from my account and I was charged an additional $returned check fee. *** *** ***

Ms *** was sent a check to her address, when she said she didn't receive it the 1st check we cancelled (a copy of that stop payment was included in our response to you) and a replacement was sent in it's stead via overnight delivery ( A copy of that air bill was included in our response) According to Ms *** she received both of them on the same day and instead of inquiring as to either why there was or to confirm which one was valid she deposited the original one which was cancelledMs *** is can deposit//cash the replacement or if she doesn't have it we will send another via regular mailAll my best, John

To Whom It May Concern:I just received an email from you about my complaint being closed because I did not respond. For some reason I never received anything when American Roadways sent their response. I do have the paperwork in for the damage with their other company, I am still trying to get American Roadway to reimburse me for some of my money for the original move, since they did not put my daughter's belongings on the truck when they told me they were going to and I was told by an employee that the belongings were not put on the truck and the truck left the night without her belongings and that her belongings were going on a different truck later that week. I was totally misled by Sam and when I finally talked with Sam he seemed just as surprised that her belongings were not her on the truck. So I am not satisfied with what they had offered for a settlement for this claim.Thanks,*** ***

From Jan 1-4, 2018, there was 0.27" (a dustng) of snow and zero rain in our area. *** So please explain what weather delays you are referring toEspecially since your sub - contracted driver disclosed on December 29, 2017, that they had been unsuccessful in securing professionally trained movers to unload in NYThe sub - contracted driver stated the same on January 2, 3, and I have text messages from the driver to back this upHe then stated that he was going to unload with or without help because he had another delivery that needed to be made in Potsdam, NYWe're in the process of locating the Potsdam customer because they may be interested in joining our complaintThe only mention of waiting for people from Massachusetts to come help unload came after the driver was parked in front of our home and began unloading by himselfHe was dressed in a sweatshirt and sneakers and was not prepared for winter temperaturesHe lasted about minutes before returning to the cab of his truck to warmWe unloaded, unwrapped, and reassembled our own belongingsNot because we were unwilling to wait but because we were finishing what he started so he could continue north BEFORE the winter storm started. It is obvious that the sub - contractors were ill prepared and not properly managed by American RoadwaysFollow-up, checking references, taking phone calls, etccould have possibly avoided the terrible service we received from American Roadways' sub - contractorsPerhaps American Roadways should ensure proper staffing is in place before sending a servicer to a job? Because I'm certain that placing random help wanted ads on Craig's List doesn't constitute "professional services on both sides of the move." You failed to provide the contracted servicesYou are in breach of contractWe are not looking for a complementary moveWe are demanding reimbursement for services not providedWe paid $5,for a complete "white glove" serviceWe got half a service and will continue to pursue, through all legal means, reimbursement and apology for the incomplete job. We threatened to blast social media only after making several phone calls with no answer and no return callWe will blast all media outlets and start a blog just to expose the truth behind your poor servicesConsumers have the right to know and we have the duty to disclose.FYI:The definition of slander is "the action or crime of making a spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation."

I apologize for the late response to the filing of the response from American Roadway - but I had family issues that needed to take care of before I had a chance to respond to the response from American Roadway.I am disappointed in the resolution that American Roadways came up with, because the information that they provided to you was not accurate. They state in their response that the truck did not leave on October 3rd, but I was told that the truck did leave and my daughters belongings were not on that truck. I also informed them that there was damage to a shelf for my daughter's entertainment center and I have not gotten a resolution from that either. I am willing to have them settle with me for $(which is a portion of what it is going to cost to get the shelf replaced).Please let me know how this can be reopened and try to get them to resolve this situtation.Thank you,*** ***

Despite the ***s cancelling their reservation within the contractually agreed upon window where the deposit becomes non refundable , we have refunded the entire $depositJohn C***

Revdex.com:The check dated September was not mailed on September as stated by John C***That is why I had not received it by my response on September It arrived in a envelope post-marked October which I included a photo of in a previous responseTwo days after mailing the check, the stop payment was placed on the check as verified by a representative of *** *** Bank on which the check was drawnOn October I had received the check and mistakenly assumed it was the replacement checkIt would not make sense to stop payment on a check days after mailing it which is what happenedHowever, that was my error to assume such a thingI also verified today with *** *** Bank that the second check that I received on October did not have a stop payment on it and there were adequate funds in the account to cover the checkAt noon today, November 11, a *** *** Bank representative stated that check was in good standingI immediately took the check to my bank to deposit itAs long as a subsequent stop payment is not placed on this check as well, this matter should be resolved

On Friday, October I received two checks each for $Images are attachedOne was dated September 7, and was in an envelope postmarked October 12, The other check was dated October and arrived in an overnight envelope postmarked October 12, 2017.I deposited the check dated September 7, today and am waiting for it to clear the bankWhen it does I can destroy the other check. *** *** ***

At American Roadway, we strive to achieve a level of customer satisfaction that is unmatched our industry and 99% of the time we are successfulBased on Mr***’s ridiculous comment regarding MrC***, however, it is clear that no matter what we say or do we will not be able to satisfy him unless he is reimbursed $2,As previously stated, Mrand Mrs*** are not entitled to a free move; the compensation that was negotiated with the carrier was provided as discussed. The only reason Mrand Mrs*** unloaded their own belongings is because they chose not to wait for other movers to be able to safely travel from Massachusetts to help the driver unloadThey made no complaint until after they made this decisionIf we were able to get our movers out there quicker to help the driver, we absolutely would have done soUnfortunately, we have no control over the bad weather causing delaysAmerican Roadway cannot be penalized for the conscious choice that the ***s made to unload their own belongings and while we sincerley wish the outcome was satisfactory to the ***'s we will not be subjected to this “strong arm” attempt at slandering our good name for a complimentary move. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors

I am rejecting this response because: The statements being made by the representative of this company are falseThe Snow storm renferenced actually happened on the day we un loaded the truckThe truck drive obviously is not being truthful as he told us he told his manager if he did not have hired help by Thursday he was unloading the truck himselfThere is a lot of lies being told hereTo this day I have not received any reimbursement checks from American roadways or it’s affiliatesI have requested many times to speak with John C*** the individual that prepared our quote and the representative has denied that requestIt’s my right as a consumer to post public reviews of my service experience with this company and by law is not considered slander when it’s the truthThe truck drive also stated they post ads to hire local people to unload the trucksI wish the company would have held there end of the deal by providing professional service as its apparent their truck drive was not conducting himself in a professional ethical manner as wellIt’s the companies responsibility to contact the consumer if they are experiencing delaysThe only contact we received is from the untrustworthy truck driverI never spoke to a representative personally and agreed to any settlement.

American Roadway would like to clarify that we met all of our obligations as defined within our written agreementAdditionally, while Ms***’s move was still in process, we discounted $from the total balance to compensate for overages caused by additional items not in our original inventorySome of her daughter’s items required packing in order to be loaded onto the truck in Delaware and she agreed to the charge of $for those servicesHer items were delivered well within the spread spelled out in the signed contractWhile we clearly preformed our duties to the letter of our agreement,we would like to extend an olive branch to Ms*** and as a sign of good faith, our office would like to offer a refund of $thus absorbing all the costs for the additional items moved and necessary packing required

I just spoke to Ms ***, her items are being delivered within the next week at no charge!
