Review: On May **, 2013 I was a passenger in a taxi involved in a collision. I was injured and transported to North Shore-LIJ hospital where I was treated by an emergency physician and plastic surgeon for a facial laceration and trauma to my face. I provided my insurance information and my information to the police officers and sought an accident report following the incident. I contacted the insurance company following the accident (American Transit Insurance Corporation) to complete the claim process. I did not receive any communication from ATIC and continued receiving information from the hospital and physician regarding my claim. My insurance company rejected the claim, as the causal agent was the driver of the taxi cab. I contacted ATIC and learned that they had been sending communications to the incorrect address (the correct address was listed on the accident report, filled out at the scene of the accident; the incorrect address was entirely erroneous and not listed anywhere on the form). When I finally received the required documentation in March 2014, I submitted the forms as soon as I received them (via fax). I submitted the claim information to the physician and the hospital, but the bills have now been sent to collection and Atlantic Transit Insurance Company has not responded. I have called and not received any contact information from the insurance company regarding the status of the claim. I am not seeking any damages or lost wages, simply for the costs of the medical bills to be satisfied by the insurance company ($1369.00 from Lenox Hill Ambulance Service; $983.00 from [redacted], **).Desired Settlement: Please pay the medical bills incurred as a result of the taxi accident caused by the policy holder ($1369 for Lenox Hill Ambulance Service; $983.00 for [redacted]).

Review: American Transit Company is dealing with a motor vehicle claim that involves my car. On [redacted] November *,

I was told 2-3 business days and I will have a claim number to enable me to repair my car. [redacted] it was not ready, [redacted] it was still not ready after being told by [redacted] I would have it.Desired Settlement: They go out of business. Horrible business to deal with. Shady, and they DO NOT uphold their end.

Review: I was hit by a taxi cab on May [redacted] 2014. I obtained my police report a week later and submitted all documents within the month of May. According to the police report the taxi made an illegal U-Turn and struck my vehicle. It is 100% the fault of the Taxi Driver insured by American Transit. This particular insurance company did not process my claim well into the Month of June. Although I have signed and notarized documents to obtain full payment for collision damages I have yet to receive anything. Additionally, my car has been in storage due to this accident since May [redacted] 2014. I was verbally told by a customer service representative from American Transit the Auto Body Shop just has to submit the Bill for storage and it would be paid in full. However, I received a letter stating they will only pay for 30 days of storage. My vehicle is still in storage to date 7/**/14. American Transit excessive delay to process paper work has caused the storage bill to continuously increase day to day. Also, I paid 1205.00 in rental fees from May [redacted] to June [redacted] 2014 of which they only want to cover 5 days. American transit's deceitful and fraudulent practices have directly affected my income as well as my well being.Desired Settlement: I want all days of storage and rental fees to be paid in full before the month of July/2014 is over. Additionally, I want the collision damage caused by there client to be paid in full Before the month of July/2014 is over.

Review: My car was hit by cab driver covered by this insurance on 08/**/13. It was clearly cab driver's fault because he was passing me on the right side on a one lane street. American Transit evaluated my car quickly, but never informed me about the results. I made numerous attempts to contact them, and even spoke to the supervisor. They would tell me I 'll get a letter fom them within 2 weeks or a week, or tomorrow, etc. I never got anything. It's very difficult to reach them on the phone, but I called about 10 times. In many cases afte long wait they would pick up and immediately disconnet.

The estimate done by my body shop is about $ 2, 500. It shows that there is a lot of damage to my car. I can't use it for over 2 months.

Please help me to get the repair money from them. My Claim Number is [redacted] Thanks

Review: My car was hit by one of their taxi drivers ( it was a hit and run, which it clearly states on the police report). It took the company two weeks to have an adjuster come look at my car, another two weeks to approve the claim, once the claim was approved I had to wait for the driver to submit a statement three weeks, the driver never submitted his statement now the claim goes into a review period for ten days. Not to mention they have the worst customer service. So...now I've been waiting almost three months and have not received a check to repair my car, but the adjuster approved the claim weeks ago! I have children and this has been a major incovenience to my family. I am a single mother and cannot afford to pay for a car rental upfront.Desired Settlement: Please send me the check so I can repair my only means of transportation.

Review: This company represents a cab driver who crashed into my car March [redacted] 2015. From that date to present this company has not only maid every possible excuse as to why my vihicle could not be fixed but they refuse to address any issue to my mechanic, lawyer or myself when contacted. We have all individuall called and and made attempts to get the damage fixed to no avail my mechanic was told they have to speak to my lawyer my lawyer was told they did not represent me after sending certified documentation proving they do. I was told after my lawyer was told I am not able to call about the status of my own vehicle after being told via a letter that I should sign my car over to this insurance company then they will let me know if they will take responsibility of the damages I incured due to they're drives negligence. I've sent multiple letters certified to them emails faxes and made calls leaving messages. Not a solitary soul associated with this insurance company shows any concern about the victims in the accidents or the property damage incured.Desired Settlement: Fix my car or replace it. In a timely fashion and pay for storage and fees incurred since then due to the addition Travle and rental expense I have incurred.

Review: My son was involved with an American Transit Insurance policy holder, his car was towed, on June **, 2015 and is not in drivable condition. We were in receipt of the Police report on Wednesday, June [redacted] 2015 so we immediately faxed the police report to American transit to open a property damage claim. We were told 3-5 business days till we get a claim number. On same day we had to also go and rent a car since we only have two cars in the household and we need to drive to work. I kept on calling American transit everyday, until June **, 2015 when they finally gave me the claim number and told me that they only pay $28.00 per day for the rental and only for the days of actual repairs, who will pay the rest of the rental and storage, this is very unfair and very unprofessional. I still don't know when an adjust will go out to check the car and give an estimate, I want them to pay for my rental car from June **, 2015 to when the repair of the car is completed because first of all their client is 100% liable for the accident, it's not my fault that they take 7 days to give a claim number and God know how many days for their adjuster to go give the estimate. I WANT AMERICAN TRANSIT COMPANY TO PAY FOR ALL OF MY RENTAL CAR BILL.

Review: I filed a reimbursement claim with this company and the customer service representative was very unhelpful and hard to deal with, even my own insurance company representative was having a hard time speaking to a rep from their company.

Every time I called to ask a question about my claim I was either hung up on or put on hold.

The reps there are very rude and pretty much do not know how to speak to customers and my claim has still not been resolve and no one can give me a time frame on this issue or when I will be getting a call back on any updated information about my claim.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to have my reimbursement so I don't have to deal with this company any longer. I was already violated by their insured after he wrongfully hit my car now I feel like I'm being disrespected and violated by this insurance company as well by their reps being rude to me every time I call to ask for information.

Review: I was involved in an accident with a cab almost three months ago. My car was rear ended, while I was stopped at a stop sign. I made contact with American Transit who stated that they would send an appraiser to look at my vehicle. I completed the forms they mailed me, and included with these documents a copy of the itemized estimate provided by my body shop, a cost of $2,596.19 to repair my vehicle. Once I received my claim number from them, I began calling to find out when they would pay this sum, since the vehicle they insured is 100% responsible for the accident. Since November I have had numerous phone conversations with the staff of American Transit, each member of their service team has given different information, and have contradicted one another. I have left several messages for their [redacted], [redacted], who has not called back. The only correspondence I have received was an estimate from their appraiser, where they stated the damage was only $900, and they were only responsible for 80% of that cost. When I called back to dispute this, I was told that the information would be forwarded to a [redacted], and that I should call back on January [redacted] for an updated estimate. When I called on the [redacted], I was told that the previous employee whom I spoke with "probably wanted to get me off the phone."

This is my first complaint to the Revdex.com. The conduct of American Transit was been unprofessional to say the least. I am simply looking for them to fulfill their obligation, and provide compensation for the damage to my vehicle.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for the American Transit Insurance Company to compensate me. One of their employees has acknowledged that in my file is the itemized estimate for $2,596.19. I would like a check for that amount, so that I can have my vehicle repaired.

Review: I have filed a claim with this company almost 3 months ago. Did all my due diligence on my part to gather all necessary paper work and submit everything they needed to ensure the claim went through. I have called almost weekly and most of their service reps are extremely rude and have no customer service. One was so rude she hung up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. When I asked how I could go about getting updates about my claim their response was "[redacted]". Towards the end when all that needed to be done was send a check they assured me it would be sent within five business days that was on 11-*-2015. It is now 11-**-2015 and have yet to receive.Desired Settlement: Send the check of the money I already paid for the damages done by one of your insured clients. I've already waited over three months so that I never have to deal with an insurance company like yours again.

Review: I am still waiting for the American Transit Insurance Co to process my claim # BY [redacted] started on Aug **, 2014 for my auto that was totaled by the company's insured client. They constantly brush me off every time I call to inquire on the processing of the claim. I was initially told to wait until all parties involved were contacted. However my vehicle that was totaled, is sitting in storage awaiting final processing of the claim because I must keep the license plates on it to avoid summons. I must also pay storage fees that I cannot continue paying too much longer. The vehicle was financed new and the financial company is after me for the payments. The American Transit Insurance Co continues to delay on the processing and does not respond when I call them.Desired Settlement: Completion of the claim processing so that I can make the auto payments and stop paying storage fees.

Review: My [redacted] required repairs from the back passenger side to the front passenger side

This damage was caused by a Taxi insured by American Transit Ins. Co.

The driver of the taxi was double parked on the BLVD.

The driver of the Taxi failed to use his signal.

The driver of the Taxi attempted to make a u-turn from the right lane as cars were passing on his left.

The driver of the Taxi failed to notice the [redacted] approaching him on his left.

American Transit Ins. Co. customer service is the worse company to contact in regards to an accident.

As many has indicated they use delay and non-response tactics to delay claims.

They also try to get you to accept 50% of the repair cost to your vehicle.

Numerous calls to their office has resulted in long waits of up to 45 mins on the phone and no one returning your calls if you choose to leave a message.

My claim number is [redacted].

Their initial reaction of both cars being responsible is not acceptable and I would like this settled as soon as possible.

My next course of action will be to take American Transit Ins. Co to court for 100% reimbursement of repair cost and car rental cost.

No one should have to be treated the way this Insurance company treats the general publicDesired Settlement: American Transit Ins. Co. should cover 100% cost of repairs to my [redacted].

Review: A livery cab driver is insured by American Transit Insurance Company. He hit my parked vehicle on the street and failed to stop to provide any information. I was able to track the cab service he works for and received his license plate number and called my Insurance (Geico) and they were able to track down some information on this person. He is insured by American Transit. I made a claim with them back in June and to this date I have not been able to get my vehicle damages fixed. The insurance adjuster is never available by phone, never returns my countless number of calls. I can not even get to a supervisor at this company. One of their vehicle adjusters did inspect the car, the amount totaled to $2.000.00 and they are now only granting $1,000.00 to pay towards the damages. My vehicle was parked on the street in the Bronx, NY. No one was driving it or even sitting in it but American Transit claims I have to pay because I'm liable. Liable for what?? I can not get in contact with the claims adjuster who made this ridiculous decision to determine why this was made. This is why I'm contacting Revdex.com to put a complaint on American Transit Insurance Company.Desired Settlement: I wish to not fix my vehicle through my own car insurance as I will have to pay a $1,000.00 deductible out of pocket.

Review: My car was involved in an accident caused by the policy holder of american transit. This company is so ridiculous that could not properly read police report, stated that I received citiation/ticket from police. I have NOT received any ticket from police, since I was traveling on my own lane and driver of policy holder make a suddenly left turn across double yellow lines into my lane and causing the accident. I have pictures of place and witness and yet they blindly denied my claim. This company should be banned from operating the insurance business. Also it take more than 30 days to received denied letter.Desired Settlement: Admit the fault and pay the damages.
