Review: The water softener has not been fixed property by Ameriflow and we are getting water marks on dishes and scale build up in the pipes.Desired Settlement: Please fix the issue and please contact Ted D[redacted] for access on [redacted]

Response:

It is likely this complaint results from Mr. R[redacted] having paid for two installations one to his hired plumber and one to us Ameriflow. Mr. R[redacted] paid us $169.00 to reinstall an improperly installed water softener on 1/9/2016 where we found a complete unit simply not installed correctly. Mr. R[redacted] paid and signed for our services including validation that the water softener does work. It would be nearly impossible to determine build up inside a pipe and as far as dishes are concerned many variables exist outside of water softness that can cause dish spotting, things like to much detergents, poor drying rate are some examples of cause. We do not feel any refund or reimbursement is warranted because the workmanship and equipment performance have been validated.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com Ameriflow have a duty of care to fix any problems with the system that was installed by them and there is a one year manufacturers warranty. They have to honour the warranty as per the FTC guidelines. Thank you

We can check the unit again to validate it is working. I will call MR. R[redacted] to set up a visit.

Review: we bought a water softener from [redacted] in 2006 when our home was built. we purchased this paticular brand and model because it had a lifetime warraty.Last week apparently we had a resin rupture inside the softner and it let all the resin go into all our water lines and clogged them all.the manufacturer doesnt cover it they say it is wear and tear. there is no way to know when this will happen to your syste because the unit has not emeregency shut off or any kind of warning until it is all threw your pipes. we have been trying for over a week to fix this ourselves. My husband has terminal cancer so we dont have the money for a plumber to come out.my home owners insurance doesnt cover it because it is a malfunction of the unit. The manufacture says it isnt a warranty issue and even if they (Ameriflow)came out and fixed only the water softner it would cost 300.00 and you get a 30 day warranty. Please help us so we can help other unsuspecting people with water softeners so they dont have to go through this night mare. Please please expose this problem. it is not fair to the home owner to endure all this mess and cost when the unit itself has no way of letting you know anything is wrong inside. I dont understand how a company can just say it is wear and tear on the unit and the only way to know if there is a problem is if you have a large drop in water pressure or have them come out and look at the unit every 5 years to be sure there is nothing broken. We were never given any of that information when we purchased the unit or when it was installed. if you look at the unit you would not even know you would be able to look inside. it looks like it is all one piece. There should be some kind of emergency shut off on the machine where the machine knows it is malfunctioning inside and shuts off or something that lets you know there is problem before it releases all the resin inside the tank into your all your plumbing lines. This has been a disaster and no one seems to want to do anything about it unless you are willing to pay alot of money... I started by calling the store we purchased from, they said I needed to call the installer [redacted] I called the number they gave me and was told they were out of business to call [redacted] , I called them and they said it has been to long to have our warranty information to call the manufacturer. I then looked up Envirotech on the inernet that is the what is on the machine as the manufacturer. I called a number in Texas and had to leave a message, no one ever called back. I called back again and did get to talk to someone that told me they only handled Industrial customers and gave me the name of Watts Water and a phone number and name of someone there because they were the distrubutor in my area. I called that person and company left a message and to this day have not heard from anyone. I finally called [redacted] Appliances back and they said they could transfer me to Ameriflow who is the manaufacturer. Well they transferred me to the wrong place, I called back again and this time talked to [redacted] at Ameriflow who told me the best thing to do was to have them come out for 79.95 and have them look at the unit. but she didnt think it was covered under the warranty.. she could not explain how it could be wear and tear she mentioned something aobut the pressure of the water in the house and how it could not be over 80 PSI. I asked her how was I supposed to know what the pressure was that comes from the city and I dont have any control over how much pressure they put out or not.. I felt like I was getting no where so I went ahead and set up the appt. for saturday 9/27/2014. this was done on Tuesday 9/23 with the understanding that if I changed my mind I could call on friday and cancel the appt. On friday [redacted] the CSM called me to confrim the appt. and talk some more about the issues I was having. she pretty muc told me the same thing about wear and tear not being covered under the life time warranty and I could pay the 79.95 for them to come out and if it was a malfunction of the machine I would have to pay 115.00 for labor but not the 300.00 for the new resin and tube inside that would carry a 30 day warranty. or if it was wear and tear I would have to pay the 299.00 for repair and replace of the resin. I decided I would not have them come out and see if I could find another way to get the lines cleared since they took no responsibilty for that either and [redacted] would call me back on tuesday and see what we were able to accomplish. She said if we got the lines cleared that she would see if there was anything she could do to help us with the softener and the cost to fix . She said I can not warranty every thing but I can see what I can do. So do I have a lifetime warranty or is it just done case by case or how the person at the company feels that day?????? Thank you [redacted] and [redacted]Desired Settlement: to have the company stand behind thier warranty and thier promise of a quality unit. We would like a replacement unit that has a full warranty , not a repaired unit that has a 30 day warranty.. reimbursement for all of our time and money to unclog all the lines which we still have not been able to do. And also to make a unit that can shut itself off or put itself into by pass when there is something broke inside before someone else has to go through this night mare...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was told they were not the correct company but they will help me out. Even though my original paperwork has the same contact phone number . I was told this should of never happened in the first place and that it will not happen again. I don't believe it will not happen again. I was offered for them to come out and fix my exsisting softner at a cost to me of 199.00 and then a 30 day warranty. This is not acceptable at all. So after 30 days and this happens again I am out of luck on a machine that it supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I have talked to many plumbers and they all agree this softner should have lasted a lot longer than 8 years. I feel that I am entitled to a new water softner with a lifetime warranty

Response:

Ameriflow water systems Inc. was not the seller of the equipment [redacted] owns. We do have the phone number listed on the owners manual however this is only because the company that previously had the number has been dissolved. The contractual warranty obligations are quite possibly with PureTec Water Services AKA [redacted]. Ameriflow Water Systems Inc. is a new company that began doing business in August 2007.

In the spirit of compromise we have phoned Mrs. [redacted] on several occasions to resolve this issue. Several times Mrs. [redacted] has been busy and has told us she would get back to us after we offered a significant reduction in price to help resolve the issue for $199.00 which amounts to $179.00 off normal pricing.

The original warranty at this point is limited to vessel replacement only for external leaks, this does not cover labor or internal failures of the media distributor or collector.

It is not reasonable to expect a new unit or a free repair on equipment that is more than 8 years old with a limited warranty. We feel we are more than reasonable to have offered the reduction in repair price for equipment we did not sell.

At this point we are not sure what to do if this offer is not accepted. We do not do free repairs however we are willing to compromise and we have shown that willingness. If a more favorable price is found by a reputable and capable company we will gladly consider meeting or beating the price.

Thank you

HELLO, I FEEL LIKE WHEN A COMPANY DOES A POSITIVE JOB, THEY SHOULD BE REWARDED WITH A POSITIVE COMPLIMENT !! I HAVE OWNED AND MANY OF THE AMERIFLOW PRODUCTS OVER THE YEARS AND I HAVE HAD ONLY THE BEST EXPERIENCES. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS SWIFT AND TIMELY. THE TECHNICIANS ARE FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND MOST OF ALL CLEAN AND TIDY. I WILL CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS WITH AMERIFLOW FOR YEARS TO COME.

Review: Ameriflo water system goes by many name as to who is selling there items, we purchased a system from Spencers in Goodyear AZ, We paid for an install as well. It all started at install time. time was scheduled for them to come out and had to reschedule a few times and not on my behalf but they were under staffed. when they did show up they did a major hack job, drilled 3 inch holes for a 1 inch pipe and left with no caulking or foam around pipes, left scraps around and did no clean up. After a few calls then they came back out and filled the holes and painted the outside issues. With the Water softner and r/o systems both bought from spencers and both A Ameriflo items with supposed warranty's. water never felt as soft as my other homes with softners but the water her in AZ is bad, I called to get the r/o servived and the softner looked at as well. $160 for a service call and for them to look at the softner and say if we dump out special sauce in it will clean it out and work great, hit this button again in the am and you will be as good as new. I came in the next morning and the garage was soaked with brine water from the salt tank overflowing. I hit the button again and scrubbed the floor and hosed out the bad water. Came in the next day and same issues, brine water flooded the garage and went to look at the brine tank and it was full of black chunks, hard and soft and the water level was right at the overflow tube. I grabbed a bucket a skimed the top crap off and dumped in the yard. I called Ameriflo out and explained the issue, they told me a $89 dollar service fee and they will look at the problem, I said Im not paying that I just had you out and you messed this up not me. They told me that they have a 45day warranty on service so they would come out and see what the issues were but it wont be for 5 days, So I asked when the soonest was and they imformed me that was it. He came out and said I needed to pay or he wasn't going to look at it.Desired Settlement: Tech was scheduled to come out last Friday to fix the problem, when he showed up it was scheduled from 10-2 with a 30 min call out, he called said 30 min so I left the school and came home as fast as I could he then showed up 45 min later. when he got there he asked the wife what the problem was she said she wasn't sure that my husband said it didn't work and he explained to the gal who took the apt info in full as she needed the info. Fix the stuff you messed up or take it out...

Regards,

Never received said email from this [redacted] fella, I received a call approx a week ago from someone from ameriflo at 8am in the morning when I was dropping off my 4 kids at school, I asked if they could give a call back in ten minutes when I was done with dropping my kids off. He said OK and I never heard anything since.

Still have brine water leaking on the floor and down driveway so not sure if that is fixed.

Not sure what to do next, we have a signed invoice from 2/18/14 that in our opinion indicates things are ok. Emails sent apparently do not go through and I have left a message for Mr. [redacted] with his wife to call me with any additional concerns.

Thank you

The techs won't leave unless you sign the repair tag, and because you sign a tag and leave a job doesn't mean it is working the next day. Mr [redacted] works out of the state and isn't behind a desk to jocky phone calls all day, but just as the ameriflo secratery and techs that came out only insists to speak to a male, numerous phone calls made to ameriflo by the female were reject and told to have Mr call. Same goes to the 2nd tech that came out , he refused to do work because he couldn't take to male in household. When 100% was expanded via phone to what problems were.

Regards,

Extremely dissatisfied, a service call for 79.95 where they did absolutely nothing but told me my solar panel had leaks which I already knew. They were only interested in selling me either a new core for $1200.00+ or a new solar panel for $1500.00+. They never even removed the panel cover to visually look at the leak in the coils to determine if they could be repaired. Very suspect business practice..

this business is very bad on customer service and they have very bad product.

worst vendor you could do business with.

please do not use them for anything.

Review: I was contacted by AmeriFLOW Water System saying they needed to set up my yearly maintenance and proceeded with asking me what day worked best. (I did not contact them for this service) They at no time mentioned that this was going to cost me anything. This is a poor business practice. When calling someone they should inform them how much it was going to cost if it indeed was going to cost. Because they did not mention a cost I assumed it was free or went along with the initial purchase of they water system. If the representative would have mentioned in this call that the maintenance was going to cost 114.83 I would have told them that I would have to schedule at another time as money is extremely tight for my family right now. Today they came and did the service and landed me with a bill I had no idea I was going to get or have to pay today. I have no money at all to pay it and they are now going to charge me an extra 3.00 fee for billing me on my husbands payday. I am upset because they did not give me full information needed on initial call that there was a cost to their service and that I would need to pay it today. I am also upset because of their extra charge that I am being charged due to their lack of communication skills in the initial telephone call. I am more than happy to pay for a service that is provided to me but I like to be informed of a price before hand so that I know I can afford it and not be mislead into thinking there is no cost since they never mentioned on in initial phone call (where they called me I DID not call them to set this up). I had no clue the system needed yearly maitenence but My husband knew and he would have eventually set this up by us calling them not the other way around.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to apologize for their poor misleading phone call and for them to practice better customer service and inform their customers of payments and cost that go along with services they are calling people to set up appointments for. I also want them to remove my phone number from their information and to only contact my husband through his phone number (as I never want to talk to them again) from now on since they do not know how to run a business properly by providing all information needed. Also when calling someone to remind them of maintenance they should probably remind them of any cost this may have (if a customer forgot about maintenance they probably forgot there was a cost to this as well) I feel they need to go over the way they run their customer service and make sure all representatives are informing customers with all information needed and are not being misleading.

My apologies for the trouble. we will remove your account from our database to not be contacted in the future. I tried calling but went to voice mail at the two numbers I have on the account and did not leave a message as the message answer did not confirm the name. We take pride in good service and positive customer relations, obviously things did not work out for us. We wish you good luck and will take this information and use it as a training tool for improvement in our organization.

If this only goes to the Revdex.com please forward to the customer.

Regards,

I have owned several RO's and Softeners from this company in several homes over the years. I have one neighbor and several relatives that also own these products. All of us have incredible experiences, really good experiences. I couldn't recommend a company more highly. My mother-in-law has equipment that is more than 10 years old. She says her RO filter service is by far cheaper from AmeriFlow.

Review: I have had service with Ameriflow for my reverse osmosis and soft water system for 4 yr . On the last visit in April 2013 they took away my working UV light for the filtration system and put in a new stainless steel one for $70 extra. It has failed and when I called today I was told to unplug it as the device is defective and they can not obtain any new ones to replace it.

Since it should have been guaranteed for at least a year and I paid $70 for I I asked to be reimbursed for half the cost since it only worked for 6 months and they removed my working one. They refused and said they could not help me and would do nothing.Desired Settlement: Reimburse me for 1/2 the cost or repair it

We will send a check for $35.00

I purchased the soft water system through [redacted]. What a mistake, don't make the same mistake! This company has the worst customer service. They delivered and installed the system then at the end said they didn't have a part (missing a hose that makes the system work) and would be back the next day. They called and canceled the "next day" due to no technician availability to bring a hose that wasn't in the box. After waiting 3 days for the part we were not made a priority in the morning. Customer service was unprofessional and not "reliable" as stated in there Logo. Instead, they were argumentative and refused to put there manager on the phone. At this point I'm done with dealing with stupid. I asked them to come pick up there non working water system and give me a refund. I was told installation was non refundable ($225.00) and I would only be refunded what I paid for the unit. My SOFT WATER SYSTEM was never installed properly and they are stealing my money! DON'T TRUST AMERIFLOW WATER SYSTEMS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

After considering the different types of water softeners and water filters that were available in Arizona, the best option for our family was a combination of a water softener and a water filter, specifically known as a [redacted]. The [redacted] is put into the [redacted] (available at your local [redacted]) resin tank at the factory, which is manufactured in Mesa, AZ. The reason for this is because the filter will get rid of the chlorine, chloramine, and contaminants found in Arizona water. The softener itself rids of calcium and magnesium that leave the white build-up on all household fixtures, not to mention, you won’t need to replace your water heater every 3-6 years.. We are actually using less soap and detergent water-using appliances. My wife and daughter’s hair & skin look & feel softer, due to the hard water that was drying the body out. I saved money & am a happy guy that does not hear the wife and daughter complain anymore.

Our entire experience from the purchase of the [redacted]/Water Softener to the install, and additional over the phone questions, have been painless! The Customer Service at Ameriflow is superior. Those ladies in the office, know their stuff.

Last but not least, currently, [redacted] has a phenomenal deal on the [redacted]. If you purchase the KS64 water softener, you receive the [redacted] for a penny, and the install is FREE.

Thank you Ameriflow for very respected install technicians and superb phone assistance from your Customer Service department.
