AMG Holding Reviews (%countItem)

Company advertised their "buy back" program which is the reason we chose them over other companies. We now want them to honor this and they won't.
We paid $6000 for a stairlift in February, 2018. We were hesitant to do this as it was an expensive purchase and we knew we were only going to need it for a short period of time, but we had little choice. Our sales rep, ***, was very convincing that one of the best things about their company was that they would buy back the stairlift (at 20% of the purchase price) when we no longer needed it. This was very comforting to us and was the reason we chose this company as opposed to others out there. As it turned out, it was a mere 5 months later when my mother passed. We called Ameriglide and they told us they were no longer buying back equipment. We said we could understand that for new customers going forward, but that this is what was advertised to us when we bought it and they needed to honor it. They put me into my salesman's voicemail and I explained this all again. He will not get back to me. I have left at least 5 messages asking him for help. He will not get back to me. I called the customer service line and the rep said there was nothing they can do. I asked for a "higher authority" and he said it will do me no good. "These were the instructions they got from corporate and his manager would say the same thing". How can a reputable business not honor what they advertise they are going to do? I could never, ever recommend this company. They take advantage of people in desperate situations and then say "good luck" when we are only asking them to do what they said they would.

Desired Outcome

I would like Ameriglide to honor what their company advertised. I want this stairlift out of our home and I want to be refunded the advertised buy back.

AMG Holding Response • Oct 15, 2018

Our buyback program was in place in February and we had no forecast of terminating the program. Unforeseen at the time, our corporate policy changed and are no longer offering the program. The model you purchased is popular and reliable could likely be resold locally quickly. We can provide product information if you would like us to and can offer to consult your potential purchaser on the features and benefits of product.

Customer Response • Oct 23, 2018

I understand you may have had had "no forecast in the termination of the buy back program"- I had no forecast that I would only need the stair glide for such a short time. Life doesn't always forecast. Things change. That is not my argument. I don't see how a reputable company can dismiss a promise so easily with no regard for the customer. You sold us a $6000 piece of equipment with the advertised promise that you would buy it back when it was no longer needed. We paid the money, and your company decided a few short weeks later not to participate in the buy back program an longer. That doesn't mean you no longer need to honor what was promised the month before. Your response in saying you would "consult a potential purchaser" that we would have to find is ridiculous.

I have never used the Revdex.com to post something good about a company however we felt compelled to do so as our experience has been so outstanding. We have purchased two of their Horizon stair lifts for our home and are very pleased. Looked into other brands at about twice the price and are glad we selected the Ameriglide product.

Delivery, installation, and support have been outstanding. We have had the first Horizon in for about 3 years now and just added the second last month.

AMG Holding Response • Oct 03, 2018

Thank you *** for sharing your experience!

We strive to make all our customers as happy as you are.

We ordered stair lifts from this company. They were not delivered as promised.
Lifts were purchased and paid for on May 23rd. Finally delivered on July 15th. Amount of purchase was $3,688.00 on my ***. Sales rep was ***. We ordered *** stair lifts with foldable track. We ordered 12 feet of track. The promised ship date was within 3 weeks. At 4 weeks we started calling, he would not return calls. Finally we got in contact with him. We were told that what we ordered was no longer available. He should have let us know that right away. They offered another model to be shipped the next day. After another week we had to threaten complaints and getting our money back before they were finally shipped. All this time we had someone standing by to install them. Mobility has become an issue and it is hard to get in and out of the house. And up and down stairs. When we received them our installer said that we did not get enough track and it was not the kind we could fold up. When we contacted *** he basically said we had everything we were going to get. When they offered another unit we thought they would make sure it was comparable. We are still trying to resolve this, but meantime we still have trouble getting around in our own home. It has been almost 90 days. We need the rails or our money back so we can go elseware.

Desired Outcome

We would like to have the parts we need to install the units at the very least. Getting the units we ordered or ones that are comparable in performance would be ideal. Or our money back so we can purchase them elseware.

AMG Holding Response • Aug 14, 2018

Consumer ordered 2 *** used stair lifts, as explained on website the used units come and go and sometimes we do not have any. In this case because we did not we upgraded and sent *** stair lifts that are much newer and come with a 3 year parts warranty VS a 1 year on the used units.

*** did open one of the boxes and lost a piece of track, the replacement track was received 8/10/18.

After installation stair lift chair stopped working. I have called customer service several times and they don't answer my calls or return my calls.
Product was ordered on Sept. 21, 2017. The order number is ***. The model is Sl-platinum standard *** stair lift. The amount paid for the stairlift was $1998 for each and installation was $575. Two stair lifts were purchased and it took several months to get installed because one of the chairs had a broken motor and the other chair was the wrong one. We had to wait to receive the new motor and the correct chair. We didn't get any usage until February 2018. Now one of the chair lifts is not working and I have tried calling customer service several times and they directed me to ***. His phone number is (800)***. I have called him for 5 days and it goes straight to voicemail and have left him several messages. We would like for someone to contact us to solve this problem because we senior and my wife is crippled.

Desired Outcome

We would like for the business to repair the chair lift because it has not been in used for that long to have stopped working. We would like for the business to contact us immediately as we are not able to go upstairs.

AMG Holding Response • Jul 09, 2018

We are sorry that someone gave customer the phone number for a tech that all last week was on the West Coast installing equipment. Plenty of other people could have help him. 7/9 our tech called him and he had someone replace a fuse on the machine and it is back operational.

Product not received and no response from company on status of shipping.
I ordered a thermometer on the *** website on April 12, 2018, order #***. I got an email saying it would ship in 4-7 business days. On April 24 2018 I emailed *** asking if it had shipped and didn't receive a reply. I called several times at the following number *** asking what the status of my order was and was put into voicemail, ***s and other employees voicemail. I left messages and never received a reply. On May 1st I emailed *** again asking for status of my order or a refund. And received no reply. Then I called May 2nd and was put in voicemail. No reply so called on May 3rd and talked to someone who said the item was shipped April 30 but had no tracking information. When I told him the person I talked to the day before did not show it as shipped and questioned his truthfulness he hung up on me. Today is May 4th and still has not arrived.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund so I can purchase a thermometer somewhere else. I had hoped they would deliver the product but it appears they don't intend to.

AMG Holding Response • May 08, 2018

The distribution center used was unable to full fill order 4/8 customer is being refunded.

Customer Response • May 16, 2018

I was satisfied with Ameriglide's response but have not received a refund as of 5/16/18 09:54 CST. I emailed Revdex.com on 5/11/18 indicating that I had not received a refund.

More information from Consumer:
As of 5/24 the consumer has not received a refund.

Absolutely the worst company service I've ever encountered in my whole life. This company appears to be on the ball while you are purchasing their Ameriglide Stair Lifts. But once they have the money, the whole situation comes to a abrupt halt. It is not my intent to provide details regarding their service. They are just not worth my time. They lied to me four times and used every excuse in the books. They did not return my calls regarding shipping dates / delivery. My advice to their potential customers is to find another company to work with. They are just not a company that believes in good customer service.

AMG Holding Response • Apr 09, 2018

We called Mr. to find out what the issue was he said he does not have time and hung up.

Used Ameriglide stair chair lift purchased via phone November 2017. Chair was unable to be installed. Returned January 2018. No response or refund.
My 98 year old Grandfather purchased a used Ameriglide stair chair lift over the phone in November 2017 for about $1700. He was convinced that he would be able to install it himself, when in reality it would require a professional installation and inspection/certification. It was also completely incompatible with his staircase. We emailed the company regarding returning the unit. Many emails and phone calls later, we finally received the return instructions. It was returned in January 2018 at a shipping cost of $700. Since the return, we again have had many emails and phone calls, promising a refund of $1300 for the returned unit (following an inspection). The last email we received from ***, the main contact at Ameriglide we have been trying to work with, was on 2/26/18 stating that we would receive a refund within 4-5 business days. To this day we have not received any refund. We have called and emailed so many times, only to be continuously sent to ***s voicemail, hung up on (one day at least 5 times) or sent to phone lines that ring endlessly or just end in a disconnection. This has been the worst customer service experience we have ever dreamed of encountering, and I am appalled at how my family has been treated. This company, whose main clientele are individuals that are elderly or who have mobility or accessibility issues, should be ashamed of itself.

Desired Outcome

A refund of $1300

AMG Holding Response • Mar 28, 2018

Revdex.com we searched for customers name, address, telephone number and email. This person is not in our data base we have sold her nothing.

Customer Response • Apr 02, 2018

As I stated in my complaint, the person who purchased the chair was my Grandfather. His name is ***. The employee I named in my complaint, ***, would have had his name and info on the situation, but it appears the person who responded to the complaint did not contact him.

AMG Holding Response • Apr 02, 2018

The person who purchased this did a credit card dispute 3/22/18. This makes it impossible to give a refund while this is under dispute.

The person that made this complaint did so 3/26 which is after the dispute date.

Third party should not be able to lodge a complaint when they purchased nothing.

Lack of response to continuing problem of non-functioning new chairlift!
My 81 year old disabled mother purchased an Ameriglide chairlift after I (54 year old) spoke to a customer service representative 4 times and was never told to measure the pitch of the stairs that the chairlift was suppose to go up. When installer came to install chair on February 21, 2018 he said pitch was incorrect but installed chair anyway even after I asked him if it would work properly. He assured me that it would. Within two weeks the chairlift stopped functioning. My husband and I have called repeatedly only to be given the run around each time we called. During one conversation we had with our customer service representative (***), he said that he told mother to measure the stairs and that her response was that she did not want to do that, this was a complete lie being that my husband and I live with her and she would have told us to measure the stairs. Then during another conversation, *** told my husband that we never filled in an on-line form about the stair pitch, during any of my conversations with *** prior to purchase, he NEVER mentioned an on-line form to me. As per another conversation with ***, we were told we had to have the stairs rebuilt to correct the pitch. We had this done immediately and called our customer service representative, as well as sending pictures of the corrected stairs, and still have gotten no response to numerous phone calls. My mother is unable to get in and out of the home without assistance, which in turn means that my husband or I have to be here to assist her. We have done anything we have been told by Ameriglide representatives and still no results. My husband and I have been transferred to numerous representatives (even the manufacturer in Florida) and NO ONE has helped to correct the problem.

Desired Outcome

To have installer come back out and reinstall the chairlift provided that the motor is still operable.

AMG Holding Response • Mar 30, 2018

Steps did not have enough pitch to them. Customer had them rebuilt installer put lift back in. Took video of customer riding the unit up and down.

Customer Response • Apr 02, 2018

The installer did come back to our home to reinstall the chair lift and it was working somewhat properly when he took video of me riding the chairlift, however, as soon as my 81 year old mother used it, the chair lift bucked (jerked) and then would not go up the lift. This was all within two hours of the installer leaving. I did call the installer (***) as soon as this happened and he reiterated to me that this lift was not the proper lift for these stairs and that we should have been originally advised when purchasing to purchase a rack and pinion chair lift (which is anywhere from $200.00 to $300.00 cheaper than the one that we purchased) rather than the cable driven chair lift. So now we are back to square one again. The chair will go down the stairs but it will not come back up or it will only come back up with a jerking motion.
At this point in time, I would just like to return this product and be done with this company. It is not as much Amerglide that I have the problem with but US Medical Supplies.
I had spoken to *** four times before my mother purchased this chairlift and he NEVER ONCE mentioned the measurement guide for the stairs. I did tell him how many stairs were there and he ASSURED me that this lift would work fine - a month and a half later and I have a chair lift that does not work properly and an 81 year old mother who is extremely upset and has to use the stairs to come in and out of the house which is an extreme chore for her.
According to US Medical Supply, I would need an return authorization number in order to return, pay $199.00 freight and a 15% restocking fee; being that this is not our fault that this chairlift is the incorrect model for our steps, I do not feel we should be penalized for this.
According to the installer, he stated that he told our salesman after he installed the lift the first time that this was the incorrect model for our stairs.
NUMEROUS phone calls to the customer service number either go unanswered or we get the run around and transferred to this and that person. We were originally told be *** that our reinstall was going to be on Friday the 23rd of March and no one ever showed up. After numerous phone and once again "the run around" we were told that the installer was in training on Friday the 23rd. We could not reach *** because he was off that day. We only received a response from *** on Monday the 26th of March. In a message he left for us he said that *** did not come to install because we had to pay an additional service charge for *** to come back out and reinstall. (Chair lift should not have been installed the first time knowing that the stairs were not the right pitch.) That was at 10:15 in the morning. After consulting with my mother and sister, we decided to just return the chair. We tried calling *** to get a return authorization and only got his voice mail. We then called *** and left a message, we then called the customer service center and *** answered that number. We asked for a return authorization number so we could return the chairlift. He told us that *** would have to "figure out" how to fill this form out. He was somewhat curt with my sister on the phone. Within five minutes of that phone call, *** called and spoke with my mother, he stated that *** "waived his fee" and would be out on Wednesday, March 28th, to reinstall. On Wednesday the 28th, *** did come out and reinstall the lift. He told us that the only reason he was here was because the CEO of Ameriglide, ***, had gotten involved in this case. *** reiterated that this lift was the WRONG lift for these stairs and proceeded to reinstall. He told me that the lift would be very "touchy". it was working somewhat properly for 1/2 hour. *** did video tape me on his phone riding the lift. Within two hours after him leaving the lift stopped working again.
My mother does have a dispute on file with Discover card until this is resolved.
Again, at this point in time, I just want this lift returned and to be done with US Medical Supply. I would like a return authorization number to do so.

The service guy we have is Wonderful. However, the product we bought (Ameriglide's Rubex stairlift) is not. I'm afraid we'll get halfway up or down and it will stop working. Hangs up in the track 1/3 to half way down and my extremely handicapped husband has to get off of it on his bad legs and pull/snap the cable to try to get down the remaining stairs. This has been going on for a few weeks. Waiting for a part since last week. This is a very dangerous situation and the most disabled of people are being placed in peril because of the lengthy time for repair, replace. We want an Acorn and wish we had known of this company's lack of interest in anything other than making money. Once again, it's this Company, not the repair/maintenance people (who are wonderful).

AMG Holding Response • Mar 02, 2018

This unit is 2 years old and does requires maintenance. The problem you are describing is the track needs to be cleaned and new grease applied. Your service guy can take care of this. If not the company we use for service is *** at 855-***

The stair lift you have is a Rubex with more than 10,000 units in daily operation. It has the smallest failure rate of any stair lift on the market. We use to sell the *** but had to stop way to many service issues.

Stair lift installer identified an issue the day of install. So far no resolution.
I ordered two stair lifts, Ameriglide Horizon model, for my parents in October 2017. The stair lifts were installed in late November. On the date of the install, the installer noted a required warranty repair on one of the stair lifts. We contacted the company,***, (***@inetalliance.net) and the company customer service phone number, (800) 580-0831. We received some email replies from *** and from ***@ameriglide.com) giving us the name of a repair service (***, (855) 879-8090). So far we've yet to hear any more from anyone. Phone calls and emails go unanswered.

Desired Outcome

I want the faulty stair lift repaired in the very near future.

AMG Holding Response • Feb 21, 2018

The repair company is a nation wide service that we use often. Since they did not respond our Head tech got hold of customer and listened to find out problem. Parts are being shipped and should be repaired soon.

Customer Response • Feb 21, 2018

Thank you for contacting the company. You received the same basic response I did. I do not trust them to keep their word as there have been many contacts and attempts to contact. I will advise you once they have done what for months they've been saying they would do and the stair lift is satisfactorily repaired.

My stair lift is broken and I have left numerous messages for them to fix it without a return phone call.
I have an AmeriGlide stair lift that I purchased and is no longer functioning. I have made numerous phone calls to schedule someone to repair it and the business has not replied.

Desired Outcome

I'd like them to schedule someone to come out and repair my chair lift. My mother is elderly and cannot take her shower without a working lift. None of the numbers for authorized repair companies that they list on their website work. I have called them at least four times in the last week with no return phone call. I just want someone to come to the product location *** and fix the stair lift. I am willing to pay for the service call and repair.

AMG Holding Response

He called in last night 11/27 after tech support was closed. The last time we spoke to him was Oct of 2013. Not even 24 hours to assist him is crazy.

We have called and emailed today without reply.

Customer Response

The response of the business is wholly inaccurate. I called several times in this last week and left at least three messages on different days. And for the record, they never got back to me in Oct of 2013 either. I have been more than 5 days without a response after repeated attempts on my part. I would not have called the Revdex.com if I had merely called the company the day before. This is obviously a dysfunctional business that blames the customer for its own lack of response.

Notwithstanding, as of yesterday, I did receive an email from the business and a telephone call from a service organization. It appears that thanks to the Revdex.com, we finally have their attention. The service company is supposed to call me today to schedule a repair. As of yet, this has not happened, I consider the matter unresolved until it does. I will update the Revdex.com immediately upon a successful resolution which I now expect is forthcoming. Thank you, Revdex.com.

AMG Holding Response

Service was performed 12/5/17.

Customer Response

This case is now resolved. Thank you, Revdex.com.

Ameriglaide installed a non working chairlift into my home.
On 9/18 I purchased a chair lift, Order no# ***, SL-Ameriglide AC Used with install. Total paid via credit card was $2222.00.
Ameriglide's installer came to the house on Oct. 30th and attempted to install a faulty chairlift. The installer worked for 6 hours and when he finished he told me that it didn't work, he was writing a report and I should hear from Ameriglide for a resolution. Ameriglide never contacted me. I phoned the company twice daily, spoke with many people, some told me they were managers, supervisors, and salesman. Each time I phoned in the morning they assured me they would take care of the issue and phone me back. I Never received a phone call back. Finally after phoning atleast twice daily I was told that they had sent replacement parts to the installer and he would be out to re-install on 11/16/17. The installer came at 1:00pm, worked on the unit until 10:30pm. He informed me that he never received any replacement parts, that he was attempting to fix the issue with his own stock. He could not get the chairlift to work. He informed me that many of the parts were defective. I have contacted the company to ask for a resolution and of course once again, have not heard from the company. I am 87 years old, just moved into my daughter's basement apartment and am having a lot of difficulty in using the stairs to exit the house.

Desired Outcome

I must habe a chairlift that works. I have moved into my daughter's basement apartment and must have a method to get up the stairs. I am asking that the company give me what was purchased, paid for, promised, advertised, and sold to me in good faith. I am hoping for a timely resolution as I needed this chair on the 30th.

AMG Holding Response

Revdex.com we checked all email from Nov 17th and we received none from you. This is the first notification.

I just received this to find out installer has gone back several times and is unable to fix this USED unit. We will be sending a replacement ASAP.

Customer Response

Ameriglide's installer was out on Nov 16th from 1:00pm until 10:30pm trying to install a faulty unit. The installer contacted the company that night with the write up and notes stating that a new unit needed to be sent out. I also sent an email on the 16th which was read, stating this needed to be taken are of in a timely matter. I will attach the copy of the notes. Although they state this is the first notification, there is no truth to that statement. I am so disappointed in this company.

Absolutely the worst experience I ever encountered on getting my mothers chair installed however, once installed absolutely no service organization to help my 93 year old mother who had to spend more than two (2) weeks in the lower part of her home because no one that Ameriglide recommended for service would come to repair her chair lift because, and I quote from the service manger of the company they referred me to, "She's more than 4-6 hours from our closest service representative so we can't help you." Close quote!

AMG Holding Response

The customer called a 3rd party repair company which did not have a repair person nearby. Once AmeriGlide found out there was an issue the next day we had someone at the home. The issue was the end user got a piece of clothing caught in the machine.

Customer Response

The third party service company was provided to us by Ameriglide! We have yet to get the needed repair done on my 93 year old mothers chair who had been forced to stay in the lower level of her home since the incident with her chair! *** with Ameriglide has assured me that they are trying to get someone to my mothers home to get the chair repaired! I'm hopeful that they will follow through sooner than later for my mothers sake!

AMG Holding Response

Stair lift was serviced and is 100% operational.

The instructions to assemble the *** Platform Lift are incomplete. Calls directly to the manufacturer and to Ameriglide are not successful.
We purchased a Hercules II 750 in May 2017. The sales man was ***. The Unit was shipped in mid June. We were told by the sales person that it would take 2 workers 1 to 1 1/2 days to assemble. We employ tradesman capable of doing this work. After about three days worth of work, the tradesman complained about the lack of direction on routing cables and making connections. I was directed to by AmeriGlide to call ***, the manufacturer directly. *** was able to give verbal direction over the phone by had no written directions available.

Desired Outcome

Provide adequate direction on making the control connections and cable routing for the lift.

AMG Holding Response

The person that filed this complaint did not purchase anything from AmeriGlide. ***

AmeriGlide tech support did reach out and tomorrow at 9 am will assist with his questions.

Customer Response

The lift was purchased by *** County Puplic Schools.

AMG Holding Response

10/4 tech support was provided.

More Information from Consumer: I have made several calls to *** the manufacturer of the lift as well as a technical rep with Ameriglide. The technical rep with Ameriglide has been the most helpful but all of the issues with the lift are not complete. This will require additional phone calls to the Ameriglide technical rep.

Around the end of August 2017 I purchased a total of four stair lifts for a total price of $7,396.00. They were delivered and installed. I phoned *** at US Medical and informed him that the equipment had arrived. *** said he would send out an installer. The man came out and seemed to know what he was doing. A week later I started having a problem with one of the lifts. I called *** back to tell him about it and he said he would take care of it. I had not heard from anyone so I called him back and he again said he would take care of it. I was then given a different number to call. I then realized the installers were from ***. They lift has been repaired one time and has since stopped working again. I cannot get this resolved.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I need the lift working. I would like for the lift to be repaired in a timely manner.

AMG Holding Response

Consumer purchased used stair lifts that come with parts only warranty. One of the units needs a service call and she refuses to pay for it.

Customer Response

I am not satisfied with the report, considering, I've only been able to use the lift in question a few days out of 30. I was aware I was buying "reconditioned"
(good as new) stair lifts. I was never sent or told about the 30 days which is fine with me, If I could have used them all for 30 days. The other three are great, its the one that has not been working since a few days after they were installed, After a few days the installers came back and got it running, seems they brought in 2 batteries. So working fine for a few more days and then the same lift is out again. I do feel that this should be repaired or replaced at no cost to me.

AMG Holding Response

We will be replacing the one unit she is having a problem with will ship tomorrow.

This company did not send my wheelchair lift and has been paid in full. They sent me an old unit that they claim was not sent by them.
On July 27, 2017 I order a vertical wheelchair lift for my father who has just been put into a wheelchair. I ordered this through Ameriglide Inc. They are located in Raleigh, NC. My salesman is ***. My order number is ***. It was paid in full by my mothers credit card. It was old to my mother *** and was delivered to her home in Grass Valley Ca. I met the delivery truck and took video of the unit being delivered off of the truck and into the garage. I was staying with my mom during the construction time. The lift worked for a couple times then stopped working. My electrician called the manufacture of this unit and when he read them the manufactures plate that has the serial number in it they informed me that the lift was not just built, that is was in fact built in 2007. I have been trying to rectify this situation with *** since that date and have been getting the run around. He even suggested that we did a bait and switch on the unit. That is the furthest thing from the truth. AmeriGlide Inc has been stalling every single day. They are not trust worthy and we have called the credit card company and cancelled the payment to Ameriglide Inc until or even if this can get fixed. I would recommend that everyone avoid this company. We have been spending so much extra money trying to get this lift working just so my father can leave the house for therapy. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Desired Outcome

I want them to send me a brand new lift and have it installed. I have already paid for the install and will not spend another dime.

AMG Holding Response

This is under investigation the lift that was installed is not the lift that was shipped. The installer who was hired by the consumer put in a 10 year old *** lift. The new lift that was shipped is missing.

More Information from business:
The correct lift was installed at consumers job site. The picture he received from the installer was for a lift installed across the street. If he would have gone to job site in the beginning he would have seen the correct lift had been installed.

My parents, *** and ***, purchased a "*** Curve Stairlift" in May of 2014. On the day of installation the installer "***" had never installed a Stairlift before, did not come with the proper tools, and had to reschedule twice in the end, with one last visit from another technician "***" to do a third mainboard swap before the chairlift would even operate. In the end we were left without the Emergency hand wind tool and a non-working armrest display. Within only a few months we began having issues with the chair moving itself off the charger randomly (leading to endless beeping) and after only a month or two more the chair began to refuse to move at random times, requiring us to power the chair down fully, unplugging the wall charger, and sometimes having to go as far as to pull the main battery fuse before I could convince the chair to move again. As time went on this has only happened more and more often leading us to the state we are in now. At the point we are at the chair will not move and is stuck upstairs. Even when the main switch is powered off the chair attempts to move is self randomly, leading me to believe that the board is still trying to pass power to the motor. So far we have called all phone numbers available to us only to be passed around with no real course of action seeming to be available as far as receiving even a callback to schedule a time to have a repair technician come out to try and help us. Any staff I have spoken with from Ameriglide has been almost too happy to tell me "they understand my frustration" in a flat monotone voice and offer me a phone number for a "company" called "***" who they claim does all of the service and installation. Unfortunately, after countless attempt to contact a "***" at "***" we have yet to get anything more than a voicemail box. At this point my wheelchair bound Grand Father has been stuck in the downstairs of the house for almost a week. As you can imagine this greatly impacts his quality of life, hence why we paid Ameriglide just under $10,000 for a custom curved stairlift made by "***." Since the day after purchase we have had nothing but problems; Delivery was late, installation was late (and done by a CLEARLY unqualified installer), service and support has been shrugged off to "***," a company that I believe at this point to be a shill company used by Ameriglide in an attempt to offload blame to. Looking around online you can find no information about "***" and the only place the phone number (855-879-8090) seems to be listed is through generic phone number lookup websites (usually listing them as a spam caller) with no ties to any company and no mention of "***." Searching around online for Ameriglide will yield you plenty of other people having similar service issues, and plenty who had issues beginning at installation as we have had. The best I can tell this is a medical device company that only exists to sell you a quality of life improvement product for the elderly and handicapped only to completely abandon any and all responsibilities thereafter. To say we and many others have been scammed would be a gross understatement after witnessing and dealing with the complete incompetence and lack of human care from this self-proclaimed "Medical Supply and Disability Service" company. As of now (2pm EST on Saturday July 15th 2017) I have been "promised" a phone call from the "boss" "***" this Monday morning at 8am, which will also mark the one week point of the chairlift absolutely refusing to move, for the second time in 3 years.

If you can help in anyway or have also experienced similar issues with Ameriglide, "***", or *** please contact myself (***) and my family at *** or at ***gmail.com. This same message will be posted, emailed, messaged to anyone and everyone I think may be able to help our situation until it is resolved in a way that is fair and just.

The chair has been installed and working great. However, only one remote was included in the package and according to the invoice, we paid for two.

December 16, 2016,we purchased two Ameriglide Horizon stairclimbers and had them installed by your installer. In late Februrary, early March, we began to notice a "banging" noise on one of the stairclimbers. We immediately called service department and was told to call "***". No response. Called again and again, stll no response. Sent a text message, stll no response.
My wife has had eight operations and has been downstairs in a hospital bed for five years. She was delighted to be able to use the stairclimber in order to go upstairs and sleep in her own bed. However, since the noise, she has been afraid to use the stairclimber because it might break while she is on it and in her condition, she is not able to even climb one stair, thus, she is downstairs again in her hospital bed. The "banging" became louder!
Again, in March and April, we called, only to be told there was no one in our area that could come out to fix it. We since have called at least eight times -or more-and finally got a hold of a person called "***" who was helpful, except for the fact he tried to walk me through to fix it myself - to no avail. Since, I have called back, left text messages and still no response from no one! Never once, after at least five phone messages to "***", have we received a return call.
Since you have sold us a "defective" stairclimber and have no intention of fixing it, I have no choice but to ask for full replacement value of the chair and installation.
Upon, refusal to either fix the stairclimber or replace it, you will give me no choice but to file in small claims court for full value of stairclimber and installation charges and to file a claim at the *** in Raleigh N.C.
I am a very "patient" person, however, when a customer is completely ignored, especially by a company that is supposed to have a good reputation for customer service, you give me no alternative but to do whatever means to get you to respond to the problem.
Hopefully, someone in your organization is willing to at least address the situation and find a solution without further litigation.

Sincerely

Consumer was calling "***" and independant contractor and not the *** in service. Mr *** is now set up with a service tech to resolve his issue.

Nov 28, 2016, purchased 2 stair lifts. I experienced malfunctions with both chairs right away. They could not repair them and will not let us return.
On November 28, 2016, I purchased two Ameriglide stair lifts (one for inside the house and another for outside the house) because I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer which left me paralyzed from the waist down. In December, a "technician" sent by Ameriglide came to install my products but it turned out he had no idea what he was doing. He broke the track for the outside stair lift and left without fixing the problem. It was not till a new technician came in January that the inside lift was installed, he also needed a new track for the outside stair lift which was finally installed in February. Unfortunately, the technician needed a new motherboard for the product to work. At the end it still does not work properly. I have been trying to get into contact with my sales rep and other employees within the company but all my attempts have failed to connect. I was just starting to regain some strength in my legs when the inside stair lift has stopped working. I was getting ready to use the indoor stair lift for the first time to sleep in my real bed and it broke down as well, leaving me with two broken stair lifts and a loss of $5,435.00.

I can also see that the outdoor stair lift we received was completely identical to the indoor stair lift, as you will see the price of the outdoor one is $1,028.00 more expensive. The outdoor stair lift was supposed to have rust protection but had accumulated rust within two weeks of being outside.
