Revdex.com received notification from consumer that the company resolved the matter

Dear Revdex.com:Thank you for trying to settle my issue! I just got scammed! However, there are several statements that I would like to address: My son has not seen my sidewalkMy grandson-in-law (who cuts my grass), and my great-nephew (who brought me a meal), were standing in the middle of the porch, getting ready to leaveThere is no way they could see the sidewalkFurthermore, they did not say the sidewalk looked nice! My sidewalk does indeed have grass—on each side! Water resides on my sidewalk! My sidewalk is the worse one on the street! Everyone that has come over (family, friends, etc.) says that it is terrible! All of those individuals can’t be wrong! As far as Mr [redacted] is concerned, I have a right to walk on my sidewalk, and am in the physical condition to do so! Yet, because of the terrible job he did, I do not have that luxuryYes, I am years old; but, I have 20/vision! If this is the best job that Mr [redacted] can provide, I hate to see the worse one! I look forward to the resolution of this matter, and encourage you to contact me, should you need further information

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to meI replaced the black rubber shield after removing it from old sinkTotal time approximately minutesI was present the entire time the workman was here and available for his question, if askedThis is the worst experience of customer service I have ever experienced had you instructed me on my first call how to install it myself this never would have drug out over weeks with multiple promises to come to come to my home and multiple no return callsCustomer service will be rated as the worst and no recommendation on Neighborhood web site that goes to affluent neighborhoods, only the saga of my experience Regards, [redacted]

To whom it may concern,We received a call from Mr*** about his sump pumpIt was a Sunday about 9pmWe got this dispatched out to the technicians and he got there as soon as he couldUpon arrival our technician noticed that the pump was not working and the water was backing up in the
basementOur tech installed a new sump pumpHe waited for approximately minutes while the water pumped out of the basementAfter leaving the technician received a phone call that there was water was spaying out of the pipeIt took our technician about minutes to get backHe said it appeared that someone loosened the screw on the boot connectionI am not sure who Mr*** spoke to because our sump pumps, like other items we install, are a set priceAccording to our technician it was already wet at the time of his arrivalWhich generally if there is an alarm it usually goes off if the battery is going dead or because the pump is failing, and the water is backing upIf the pump was working fine, then once the technician replaced the pump it would have continued to beepAs far as a refund of the padding he replaced, if he can provide photos and documents then we can refund the price of padding. Thank you,Ashley

To whom it may concern, On Monday 10/Mr*** called and spoke with a supervisor and he advised me that his wife had sat down and written a letter to the Revdex.comThis complaint was written before anyone with authority was able to investigate and make a decision on this matterI did explain that we
would speak with the tech about the work that was performedOnce I spoke with the technician I called Mr*** back and I explained that after speaking with the technician I was going to reduce the bill to $ To me he sounded pleased with this decisionHe did state the pump had a warranty and he didn't think he should have been charged for the pumpWe can only guarantee the labor for our work for yearIf it would have been something that we did then he would not have been chargedAs I stated to Mr*** we do not make the parts nor can we warranty themWhen the original pump was installed he should have received warranty papersHe then should have filled them out and mailed them into Wayne, the manufactureWe do not give the warranty on these pumpsWe do not make these pumpsWe buy them from a plumbing supply store and sometimes we get them at *** ***But they are ALL warranty by the manufactureWe do not have the facilities or the parts to make these pumpsMrs*** must have made this report shortly after the technician leftI think Mr*** contact the office the same day or the next day after the work was done but we did not have a manager on call this weekendI did speak with Mr*** on Monday 10/3/I feel that once we spoke this issue had been resolved and the customer is satisfied Thank you,Roy

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is somewhat satisfactory to meI just want to add that I didn't say that your Yellow Pages advertisement said anything about a Satisfaction Guarantee, your website didIt was the Yellow Pages advertisement that indicated a senior citizen discountI guess I feel $is better than nothing as you first said you weren't going to refund anythingI really do believe in the future when a customer calls to tell you that their toilet or what ever you fixed is still not working that you will go back and make sure it is in working orderDo The Right Thing!

To whom it may concern,
Out service tech went out October 1, to Ms***
house to fix her toiletAt this time the service tech checked out the toilet
and put a new valve in and charged her for a service call, labor and taxAt
that time the tank was fixedThe technician has been
doing plumbing for
years he knows what he is doingHe charged her $What gets me about
this whole deal is if you have plumbers in the family why would you call a company
to come out before they decided they would go ahead and fix their old mothers
toiletThat goes to show you how disrespectful people can beIt is not that work
was not done it was because of the chargeWe are in the phonebook for people
that cannot do this type of workI know there are a lot of people who can do
this type of workBut it costs a lot of money to run a business such as gas,
labor, insurance, truck maintenance, etcI feel we were fair and honest with
Ms***

I am rejecting this response because: It is completely inaccurateThere was no water in the basement when the technician originally came out, because I had a battery backup sump pump that was working, but the alarm was constantly going offThe reason the technician had to come back(the 2nd time) is because when he installed the new sump pump he did not tighten the clamp correctly and it broke loose after about minutes thus causing the water to spray out of the connection and onto the basement floorIt also took him close to hour to returnThey also ripped me off on the price of the service as I detailed in my original complaint.
Regards,
*** ***

If you look at our ad in the phone book it does not state
the 100% satisfaction guaranteeThis is something we have never had in our ad because
we have learned that you will not always be able to please everyoneOur web
site is currently under way by our advertising agent Jeff S*** with in the
last week he started to update the side and is not completeThe 100% satisfaction
guarantee is not something that we can always stand behindIn order to receive
the discounts they must be mentioned at the time the appointment is scheduledI
will agree to refund Ms*** her 5% for senior citizen discount which is
$and I will refund her parts cost of $and take $off of the
service call for a total of $
If you would like to speak with Jeff S*** about the
advertising please call me, Roy and I will provide you with his phone number at
that time
Thank you,
Roy

To whom it may concern,I followed up on this complaint with Ms*** to see exactly what the issue wasWhen we got there he turned the outside faucet on and off multiple times and it worked just as it is supposed toWhen you turn outside faucets off they will finish draining to
keep water out of the line to prevent freezing and damagesYou do not want to use a lot of force when turning the faucet off because that can damage the inside of the faucetShe did mention that she was charged after hours however she was notShe was charged for being in Delaware CountyAs for her coupon not being used we do NOT offer a coupon for faucet repairsThe only coupons in the phone book we offer are: $off of new hot water tank install, $off Sewer line & Main Water line repair or $drain cleaningAs for her calling multiple time we have an Ashley, Tina and Melissa that work for us but no MarthaI don't know if maybe she tried to contact *** *** and that is where she talked to a MarthaAs soon as we received this email one of our techs contacted her and made arrangements to visit and inspect the faucetI have attached a copy of the written statement that out technician had signed when he was there. Thank you,Roy

Hello to whom it may concern a buckeye Rooter Service did perform work at this propertyBuckeye Rooter it was called out there to install a garbage disposal when our technician arrived there he realized that someone had changed the sinks and disconnected the garbage disposal and all of the plumbing
underneath the sink that connects to the drain in the wallThe technician reinstalled the customers used garbage disposal that was disconnected from a handyman who was doing work there prior to us arrivingThe technician then installed new Plumbing from under the sink to the wall check for any leaks and it was no leaksAs for the black splash guard that the customer is talking about it was nowhere near any of her parts that the handyman had disconnectedIf I'm not mistaken she called back a couple of days later stating that she found it in the garage with the old sink by the trashThe splash guard is not a safety feature to keep stuff from falling down the drain it is a feature to keep water from splashing back on you as you are using it some people prefer not to have one on there and some people prefer to have it thereWhen we install customers parts that are used we install them back with what is there we do not go around the house looking for stuff when someone else has previously worked on it like I said previously sometimes they're not even there but if she found it all the customer would have to do is just send it Down in the Hole and push it down can ask for the work not being complete I believe customer did sign off on the receipt stating that all work was to your satisfaction incomplete thank you

To whom it may concern,
As I said this job had nothing to do with A-Buckeye Rooter
Yes I gave her a receipt from A-Buckeye Rooter that is because we had worked
all day and was very tiredAll I had left on the truck was A-Buckeye Rooter
work order receipts so that is what I wrote it on so she had oneYou can
always have her pull a copy of her check image to see that the check was NOT
made out to A-Buckeye it was made oout
to me, *** ***I said I did this job for myself not under the companyAs you
can see this complaint turned right back around to what I said the issue was
the first timeI don’t see on here about anything wrong with the side walk it
is all about the chargeI sent pictures to you and another place in Cincinnati
and they even said it was in pretty good shapeIt is all about the charge and
her grand kidsIf her grand kids are so involved with this why didn’t they
have her to get another estimate on this job? It is a free trade county we can
get as many estimates on things as we wantWell at least we are off of the bad
“work” that was done and back to the costShe did receive a good work on her
sidewalkBut you can always have her send you a copy of her check to show this
was a side job NOT through A-Buckeye Rooter
Thank you,

To whom it may concern,
Mr*** called for a hot water
tank to be installedThe girl in the office is new and is not quite used to
everythingI talked to Mr*** about this very thingEverybody has to
learn a new job but anyway the service tech did call him and gave him a
price
not the exact price because we don’t know exactly how long it will takesome
tanks can be installed faster than othersIn Mr***’s case it took a lot
longer than usualWe had to reduce all of Mr***’s pipes the government
put new regulations on the new tanks that made them taller and all of the pipes
have to be redone in order for the new tank to fitThe service tech told Mr
*** that the cost of the tank was $plus service call, labor and tax
He was told up front what it was going to beYes we have a markup on parts we
have a right to do that as any business doesWe can’t buy something and
install it for that same price you have got to have a little common sense to
make a little moneyWe have our ad in the Yellow pages they charges us for
this service every monthIf you read our ad right it is in black and white “Mention
this ad at the time of call” if you do not mention the ad we do not honor any
kind of discountsThe reason is so that the dispatcher can let the technician
know to take it off the billI talked to Mr*** about this and gave him a
break down on the price of the tank, labor, and service call and taxI will
have the girl to send him another copy of thisI know one was sent because I
personally dropped one in the mail myselfHe may have called other plumbing
companies to install a water heater but did he explain that they would have to
reduce all of the pipes and ventingThe average time to install a tank is
mins to an hourHe also stated it took our technician hours and mins to
install the tank, which is not averageMr*** only paid for what he got
Thank you,

Dear Revdex.comAs of this date, we have not received a bill, invoice, break down of the price, labor, service, call, tax or any kind of acknowledgement whatsoever

To whom it
may concern,
I am going
to do this for the third time. This time I am going to send a copy of this bill
to Mr. [redacted] and the Revdex.com. I am going to send this to Mr. [redacted] by registered mail. If the
Revdex.com can also send a copy I would appreciate it.
Thank you,

In answer to your letter, I guess I should of expected the lies that was told by the tech. They said he spent 3 1/2 hrs. to open the drain. The time he spent to open the drain was less than one hour. He did not break his rotor tool at this address. If he did how could he have spent 3 1/2 hrs to open the drain. He only used one machine, not multiple machines to open the drain. The drain was a foor drain, the same one the technican opened a year ago. (cost $288.65). The company did not try to contact me on any estimate on any other work or my complaint on the price that I was charged. I still haven't heard from them. I put a stop on the check after not hearing from them. I am sending you a copy of the bill I paid before and the ad in the Yellow Pages. I will pay any reasonable fair amount. If they had returned my call I would have discussed that with them. *When asked about a estimate - the tech said ti was a waste of time to estimate and leave. Sincerely, [redacted]

To whom it may concern,
This job had nothing to do with A-Buckeye Rooter ServiceI
did this job for Ms[redacted] for myself, [redacted]
[redacted]I did this job for Ms[redacted]
in April or May of Her son was there and when I got through with the job
and he even agreed it looked goodShe asked me to come back out two or three
times after I finished it originallyThe first time she called after the work
was done she said the original sidewalk was higher than the new sidewalk so I
cut down the old sidewalk to match in height and before I left she again was
satisfiedThe following week she called and said that the step did not match
the side walkAgain nothing to do with what I did but I cut the step down to
match the sidewalk and again she was satisfied when I leftThen the following
week she called about a little gravel next to the curb so I went back out and
cleaned it up againI did go every time she calledBefore I left each trip
she was satisfied with my work before I leftThis is the first time I have heard
anything from her since she had not made any contact with me at allHer
sidewalk was cracked and parts already missing before I put the new one inHer
sidewalk is probable better than 95% of the sidewalks on her streetThe
sidewalks are old and some are missing and cracked, they do need repairedAs
far as walking on the grass there is no grass from her steps to the streetI
only fixed one spot of the side walkNobody years old should be walking on
snow or iceWhen it rains or snows you will have water, snow and sometimes ice
on the sidewalkThat is Mother NatureThe snow does need to be shoveled, the
sidewalk may need to be saltedI guess this is what happens when we get up in
age and have too much time on our hands and if channel on your side want to
get a hold of me I will be more than happy to meet them because I know she got a
job well doneAnyone who would want to see the work I did they are more than
welcome to go to the address and look at the grinding on the sidewalk where I
was trying to match the sidewalk to the newI have included a picture of the sidewalk that I put in for herYou can see that on the left and right sides of the new sidewalk it is evenif you look on the side where the steps are you can see a lighter color where I gridown the old sidewalk to match the new, per her request and if you look at the old sidewalk next to the street you can see on the left side where I griit down also. We did put this in the way the city requires it to be installedYou have to form it with 2x4's, compact the area with lime-stone mixed gravel, and then top it with concretelevel the concrete with a concrete levelerThat is the exact was we did itAs far as water and snow they have not come up with anything to keep rain, snow or ice from sticking to it.Thank you [redacted]

We went to Ms. [redacted]’s house on a service call for a hot water
tank that would not stay lite for anything, our service tech check out the hot
water tank he seen where someone had already worked on the tank. Someone had
already put a new thermal coupling in the tank and it still would not stay
lite. After the service tech started checking the tank he seen signs of it
leaking water and at this time. He said the tank looked as if it was 15 to 20
years old. The tank was not in good shape and he told her he felt it was not
safe to use. He told her we could install a new tank for $850.00 plus tax. We
are in business to keep the company doors open and to provide service to people
we are not going to try and fix something that needs replaced. There are
sometimes when you have to make a call to do the right thing for the family
safety. We felt the tank was not safe to be repaired. If she did have someone
else come in and repair the tank then that would be on the other companies issue
if something was to happen with the tank. We felt the tank did not meet working
and safety guide line because of the condition of the tank. We do have that
right to refuse work due to safety issues. We charged her a service call and gave her
prices on a new tank. Any company has the right to charge service call. Gas is
not free nor is labor for sending a technician out to inspect a problem.

Gentlemen,The person who answered my complaint doesn't have her facts straight. the first time I heard a price of $850 for the water tank was after the job was done, and I called the company to ask how much they were charging me for the tank. The "tech" never gave me a price for anything. As a matter of fact, I never got a break down of the charges at all.As the writing of this letter dated 1-19-16, I have NEVER received on piece of correspondance or acknowledgement from this company at all. We get mail everyday and we have never gotten a thing from them, not even a receipt. If anyone ever asks me for a plumber recommendation, I will never refer this company to anyone. This is one of the most un-business like and untrustworthy companies I have ever done business with.

After reading Mr. [redacted] letter and talking to our service
tech I have decided to to send Mr. [redacted] the amount that he is disputing of $
73.00.
I am sorry for in inconveniences this may have cause them
and you.

Thank you,
[redacted]
