Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]. I [redacted] have been since helped with this claim... Thanks for resolving
We have looked into the claim that Mr. [redacted] purchased a car with a blown head gasket. Attached are our copies of the Repair Order and Used Vehicle Inspection report. As you can see from the attachments an extensive inspection was done prior to purchase and Town North Nissan replaced 4...
tires, a upper front right suspension strut, wiper blades, and a headlight bulb. In addition to these repairs the vehicle was detailed and had an oil change. All failed inspection items were repaired prior to delivery. There was a transmission fluid seep that was detected but this is common for a vehicle with over 115,000 miles so no work was done and that does not have any effect on a head gasket. [redacted], the Used Vehicle Director, had a conversation with Mr. [redacted] on 4/19/2016. In that conversation Mr. [redacted] told [redacted] that he thought the heater was not working properly so he removed the radiator cap and drove the car to 'clear the line'. After discussing that with our technicians they informed us that this is the reason the vehicle blew the head gasket. With the radiator cap being removed while driving the car this would in turn cause the car to overheat and would result in the damage done to the head gasket. At the time of delivery the vehicle was reconditioned properly and met all safety and state guidelines to register. The car was also purchased as-is. As a result of the vehicle being driven without a radiator cap the break-down is not the responsibility of Town North Nissan.
[redacted], Per your conversation with our Service Director and your Advisor [redacted], you were aware that there was a possibility of your vehicle needing a motor and a switch to fix your window issue. Not only is your vehicle already fixed, but we gave you the switch at employee pricing and didn't...
charge you any labor to do so. We considered this matter resolved. Thank you.
