Customer purchased a washer and dryer. The washer leaked; it was repaired within 24 hours of purchase and delivery.

The customer's 1000 plus word commentary filters down to1. She complained about the dishwasher. We sent a technician to her house. He waited over 30 minutes for the customer to open the security gate. She never came out. He left. She paid for a repair person to come out. He charged her...

$59 to fix the issue. Yes the "huge problem" was $59. AND SHE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PAY THE $59 IF SHE ALLOWED US TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Any scratches in the dishwasher were there at the time she purchased and inspected the USED appliance. 2. The issue that she now states with the refrigerator freezing she now brings up for the first time. In all of her emails there is no mention of this issue. And because of 1. and 2, she globalizes that "ALL the 5 appliances she bought are junk," and she wants 100 per cent of her money back. Yet she does not tell you that she saved $6,659.98 by buying our USED appliances instead of new. These appliances were not new, so they are not supposed to be 100 per cent of new. But, she did not pay the new price of $10,059.98 (see below). She paid $3,400. Yes, she spent $59 on her own accord fixing her dishwasher. So, she saved  $6,659.98 but choose to save $59 less when she choose to spend $59 on fixing the dishwasher, and we went out to fix it but she let the repairman wait over 30 minutes at her gate, so he left.electrolux french counterdepth refrigerator,http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/E23BC78IPS.html?mv_pc=gg... single oven, http://www.ajmadison.com/b.php/Electrolux%3BWall+Ovens/N~30+4294959960?gc... microwave,http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/MBES.html?mv_pc=gg&utm_... dishwasherhttp://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/EDW7505HPS.html?mv_pc=gg&am... cooktophttp://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/DCT305SNG.html?mv_pc=gg&ut... paid $3,400 for $10,059.98 (with tax) worth of appliances.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We have already paid for the [redacted] and Installation at the first place. If they think they have to check the machines why did they not send Repair Tech at our place to check them. Why did they pick up the machines and did not tell us there will be fee. We won't be paying single $ any more as we think we have already paid a lot. Delivery have made damages to the property and this was bought to the attention of business many times and you guys were just neglecting it. If they want they can take their loaner unit and pay us our money back and we all are done. If they want to work out they can either deliver our original purchased washer / dryer in good working condition and pay the repairs.?

Regards,[redacted]

We have made arrangements to fix customer's refrigerator

BWe were not rude. The customer believes any response that is not the response he wants is rude. We picked up the washer and dryer and delivered a loanerbecause customer said that it was making noise. It was brought back to store and two certified technicians examined the machines. There was no...

noise. There was nothing wrong with machines. It cost the store $100 to pick up and check twice the machines. We asked customer to either have them picked up or pay a nominal fee to redeliver. No damage was done to their property.

First of all, my initial check was perfectly fine.  I have proof that there was plenty of money in the account to cover the check at that time.  I don’t know why the bank wouldn’t cash the check on that date, but as soon as [redacted] notified me on Tuesday, July 22nd, that there was a problem I busted my butt to try to get the cash from my account specifically so that it wouldn’t delay the delivery for the next day, Wednesday, July 23rd.  When I told them that I was only able to get $500 out of the ATM at that time, they told me that they were fine with me giving them the $500 cash and the rest would be due at the time of delivery.  They did not specify at that time that upon delivery the remainder would need to be cash or certified funds.  I only found out that they wanted me to pay the delivery driver in cash at 4:30pm on Wednesday, July 30th when their delivery truck driver was already supposedly enroute to my house.  When I explained that I would have to stop at the bank to get the cash out they did NOT mention that the driver was going to be making additional stops before getting to my house, they told me he was ON HIS WAY.  Again, I busted my butt to accommodate them and their timeline and I was able to get to the bank and then hurry home and was there by 5:30pm fully expecting that the driver would have beaten me to my house and would be in the middle of installing my oven.

I bent over backward to try to accommodate [redacted] and his employees so that I could get the oven delivered and installed as quickly as possible.  Since I purchased the oven/microwave on July 21st, my family has had to make do without an oven or microwave in our home, that’s going on over a month now.  [redacted] stated that they would “deliver the product any time and any day I requested” but I told him that his word and employees word means very little to me since they had two full days to deliver the product and failed to get the items delivered to us when it truly was convenient for me and my husband, especially since I told his salesman [redacted] at the time of purchase that Wednesdays were the only day that we would be available for delivery.

I do not trust [redacted] and do not feel comfortable doing business with him at all.  He failed to mention that he was recording our phone conversation, which is illegal.  He clearly has had shady dealings in the past in order for him to take such actions to try to blackmail his customers.  I was and still am in my rights to state that I will bring the police to his place of business, especially because I would be fearful of my safety if I were to go there to try to have a reasonable conversation with that man.  I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect and dishonesty and I hope that this complaint will get the point across for future buyers to beware!

Regards,

Two banks would not accept customer's check.

This is a contract matter. Receipt says says "delivery may be extended due to unforeseen events"

We asked to deliver at 8 pm rather than 6 pm the same day. Part of the delay was customer did not have required funds. And additionally we offered to deliver anytime any other day. She wanted a refund of $180, an arbitrary number she picked out, for her to consent to re-delivery. We said "no."

So there is no contractual deficiency on our part. Customer is without product because she would not accept delivery at 8 pm or reschedule.

It is legal to tape a conversation. Arizona follows the federal standard as a one party state.

It is legal for a person to call the police if they feel the need, independent of whether that need truly exists in fact or not. It is her right as a citizen to call.  I submit customer has no need. In fact she has no need to come to store. She simply needs to schedule delivery by a driver that is not me, per the terms of the contract. Second this aspect of the issues is civil in nature.

However, customer's action is criminal. Customer works for the [redacted]. It is illegal for the customer to threaten the use of her sphere of influence to intimate compliance with their directives. In this case she expressly said that short of getting $180, she was going to use the threat. That is extortion. Customer threatened private misuse of her association with the [redacted] and "knowing people in high places."

Bruce Love knows the stove cannot be repaired and has stated twice that he will not refund my money until I retract the “negative filings” i.e., complaints I filed against Appliance Depot with the Revdex.com, AZ Attorney General’s Office, Channel 12 News and Angie’s List.

I will agree to Mr. [redacted] demands and remove the complaints, but only after I receive a full refund of $720.00.

In addition, if he wants the loaner stove returned, he may arrange to have it picked up within 7 days of my receipt of the full refund amount.

Regards,

My boyfriend and I financed a washer, dryer and refrigerator through appliance depot totaling $1300. It has been one month since the purchase and to this day I do not have a working washer. First the refrigerator was broken within 3 days of purchase, 2 days later the dryer broke and again 4days later the washer broke. Everytime we call we get horrible customer service from the employees, the owner is even worse help. When they have sent a repairman out he doesnt show up until 9pm or later. I have 4 children to get into bed, 9pm is unnecessary but I dealt with it to get the appliances fixed. Yesterday 5/12/14 we were told the washer would be repaired or replaced... I waited until 11pm. Today my boyfriend calls and they say they cant be out until tomorrow. At this point I have been without a washer for 2 weeks, having to go to the laundry mat twice. I call to get them out sooner seeing as with a family of 6 laundry piles up quickly. I explained my situation and the manager was of no help, was told the owner wont be in for 2 hrs. Which doesnt particularly matter because the owner never returns a phone call. I was put on hold and subsequently hung up on. I called back, a new associate answers and again could care less about the needs of my family and how much their company has inconvenienced me. I dont have money to spend at the laundrymat seeing as I live paycheck to paycheck and plus they already collected their money. I need the issue resolved by either a refund on the appliances and financial company or have a working set once and for all.

We are repairing customer's range. We have ordered a control board from Appliance Parts Depot. The board is on back order from the manufacturer.  If it does not come in the next several weeks we will give the customer a refund. In the meantime we have given the customer...

a loaner range.

The customer's receipt says terms of purchase is no refund repair or replacement only. So we attempted to fix appliance firs, but if unable to fix we will refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have reviewed the owner,s response.  However, I am do not accept response.  This complaint was not filed because of $60.00 service call I had to assume.  It was filed due to the quality of merchandise I paid for. Owner has not acknowledged in his response that I traded in in perfect working and cosmetic condition [redacted] black cooktop, [redacted] Arctic counter depth refrigerator, [redacted] dishwasher, [redacted] wall oven. Every item except [redacted] cooktop had an issue. I was informed at time of purchase that all appliances were tested and in proper working condition.  I was also assured that appliances were to be cleaned upon delivery. They were filthy and each and every item had to be sanitized to get the smell out except for oven and cooktop.  Owner failed to respond to any of my concerns and was extremely rude to both my husband and I.  In addition, both the dishwasher and the refrigerator have no serial numbers.  I contacted [redacted] and was told that it was because these appliances "we're scraped out".  I was told that because they are unable to locate by serial number, these products could not be serviced by [redacted].  Parts of refrigerator were broken and missing. Freezer door does not align resulting in freezer not working properly.  Water dispenser does not make adequate ice cubes and makes whining noise.  This refrigerator was not worth this amount of money due to condition.  The oven door does not fully close, causing oven to make noise. When dishwasher was installed we were told it was hard wired.  This was repaired by us along with the other problems associated with the dishwasher.  There was a smell that I was never able to remove so I am constantly cleaning.  Because you really never see the items in the light you don't realize how many scratches and dents are on these appliances.  The owner of this business assumed no responsible in any of my concerns.  My biggest complaint was the refrigerator and the dishwasher. No serial numbers and knowing that I was sold scraped out appliances ( according to [redacted] these are products that either can't be fixed or not worth selling due to condition of appliance).  I am not surprised with business response as I knew the owner would not assume any responsibility.  The prices he quoted for all these appliances should represent used working condition, which couldn't be farther from the truth.  My intent is to focus on the refrigerator and dishwasher.  I am most concerned about being sold appliances which have no identifiable serial numbers.  Again, the price per appliances sold by no means represent the condition of what I received.  Owner did not include appliances he received from me in this equation.  In addition, the [redacted] microwaved was broken and was not purchased.  My complaints.  I did contact him about the refrigerator and was told someone would be scheduled, then told that refrigerator would have to be brought back  repair. As for dishwasher repairman.  On the date of service he was suppose to arrive between 3 and 5pm.  Called at 8:10 pm did not speak English gave him gate code but he was unable to understand husband tried to tell him to wait at gate.  Both husband an I went to gate.  Contacted him three times on his cell phone.  Always went to voicemail and message was in Spanish. We were told he left after 30 minutes which was untrue. As far as we know, he didn't wait because within 5 minutes of call, my husband went to gate and no one was there, nor did he answer his call.  Aside from this entire ordeal, owner failed to provide any assistance. I am prepared to proceed accordinglyRegards,[redacted]

Customer is very prolific yet never during her warranty period in all of her emails did she express issues of concern other than the dishwasher. The dishwasher she got repaired for $59.  We sent a repair person but she let him sit at gate because he was[redacted]. Her complaints are all subjective.

No damage was made to his property. Customer described the units as not working. We incurred costs in responding. Nothing was wrong with units. Customer can pick up units at shop or have returned for nominal fee.

This company Appliance Depot is ran by extremely shady people. I purchased a washer dryer set from them with a 30 day warranty. Within that time I had to call them out to fix a problem. I called in the issue I was told take a picture and text it to me. 2 days after that I get a call from the repair guy he's headed to me. Upon arrival he shuts off the water main to finish his work as the ball valve in the laundry is bad. So he finishes up and tells me everything is good to go. About 30 minutes after he left I realized I had no water in my house and called said repair guy with no answer. I left a message letting him know what was going on and nothing. This went on until about 8pm. This morning I get a call from someone claiming to be the answering service named George, but George said he had no way to contact anyone. I called the main number when they opened and talked to the salesmen I dealt with at time of purchase. He was extremely rude and threatening then put the repair guy on the phone. When I asked to have him come out he refused. This continued for 20 minutes and when I asked for the owners number I was told no. After speaking to my wife we obtained the phone number of the owner which was the same number that called me saying he was the answering service and told me his name was George. In reality his name is Bruce and liked to lie obviously. His employees found this funny and laughed. I called the water company and they sent someone out within the hour. I was talking to the gentleman and told him what happened he looked down opened the main valve and said they lied to you. Now the repair guy got loud with me and said he turned the water on when obviously he didn't very simple mistake and they still are not accepting responsibility and saying it was the water company issue and the repair guy went above and beyond. I wouldn't not recommend anyone deal with these guys shady snakes trying to make a buck.

Delivery was delayed because the client was asked to have certified funds or cash.  Her initial check would not be negotiated by her bank.  We offered to deliver the product any time and any day she requested.  Her claim that we will not service the product in the future is...

speculative and untrue and hasn't happened.  She works for the [redacted] and has threatened me with the "the people in high places" she knows.  I have this tape recorder this conversation and considering giving it to the [redacted] and referring it for prosecution.
