Appliance Repair Center (ARC) read and responded to only part of the complaint The final result is the technician did not repair the ice maker problem We had to buy ice from July to August 19, ARC did not have the needed equipment to diagnose or fix the problem He was nasty and arrogant and we told him to leave and not to come backWe went back to [redacted] and explained our results with ARC On August 19, [redacted] sent A & E Factory Service to replace the ice maker and repair the other items that ARC did not know how to repair

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below This company is not being honest in their responseI never received any "diagnosis" as to what parts needed to be replaced and the cost until the last day I spoke with Andre, which was on March 1stAt the same time of finally stating what parts needed to be replaced and associated costs, they refused to provide service and repair my freezer, which is why I want a refund of the "Diagnostic fee" as they are refusing to provide service, which is the sole purpose I entered the contract with this company as they claimed the diagnostic fee would go towards the cost of the repairFurthermore, it took nearly weeks for them to finally provide this information to meAppliance Repair Center is in breach of the contract and as a result should refund my moneyHad this company response been honest, when they claimed they told me the parts that needed to be replaced on the first visit, then why would they come out a second time? and why would I call back continuously every day for a week straight to get this information? They mentioned I was difficult to get touch with, and that is not entirely true, on two occasions I was not able to answer my phone when they called, and as I didn't get the message until after they closed, I called them first thing in the morning the next business dayWhich again, If they are being honest with saying they provided the cost of the repairs and what parts needed to be replaced on the first visit? then why couldn't they just leave that information in the voicemail? And to this date, I have received nothing in writing from this company regarding the diagnostic/receipt/estimate to repair despite multiple attempts to get this information On one phone call, they asked for my email and I provided it to them, and they never sent anythingOn my last call to Andre on March 1st, he stated he would mail it to me, and again I have not received anything Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11243262, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] The response from the company does not offer a resolution It is one lie after another from the very first sentence I am not a bit surprised though, that only confirms what type of people they are and what kind of business they are running I expected such a response from them I imagine that eventually word of mouth will run them out of business Regards, [redacted] ***

These people have been to my home separate time and the problem with my refrigerator is not resolvedIt's been about months, on top of that the owner prides himself on being a night mare to the customers that call with issues in regards to there concerns in regards to there appliances

We had a very bad experience with this appliance repair company I needed an icemaker repair on my refrigerator I called a number listed in the [redacted] yellow pages phone directory under "Kenmore" The repairman called us back within a half hour and came to our home in hours That was great service! But the repairman did not have the part for the repair so he said he would have to order it and it would take only a few days and he would be back But he needed a $deposit to order the part So, I paid but did not hear back from him The check was cashed Four days later I had not heard back so I called the number on my repair order ####-###-#### The phone was answered by a gruff person who did not identify themselves or the company The person was very rude and abrupt when I tried to explain why I was calling and would not listen She repeated several times that the repair man would call me once he got the part Then she hung up on me I called back and asked her to ask the repairman to call me back Four days later he called back and left a voice message He said did not know who I was or why I was calling Of course, I began to think that this was a fraud business I tried to call him back the same day, but I did not hear from him again There was no way to leave a message with him or with the operator and no way to call the owner or manager of this company Finally, I got a friend involved who made several calls and he finally connected to the repairman The repairman said that he lost my paperwork but he called a few days later He came to our home and made the repair It took days to get a simple repair and we experienced lot of frustration Appliance Repair Center is listed in the [redacted] yellow pages under all businesses that start with KENMORE Since all of these listings start with [redacted] area code, all appear to be local separate companies, but It is the same operator that answers every one of the to working phone numbers listed

Revdex.com Case # [redacted] October 13, 2015Dear Revdex.com Representative,We received Mr [redacted] work order with a problem description “the back panel of fridge is icing up” On July 7, the technician went to Mr [redacted] homeMr [redacted] also explained that the ice maker wasn't making ice It was explained to Mr [redacted] that because the evaporator coils were frozen solid with ice that the fan could not properly circulate the air to have the temperature that is needed for the ice maker to make ice The technician went back on July 15, and replaced the first part (the bimetal defrost) and explained to Mr [redacted] that if it did not make ice in to hours to let us know, and he didOn July 18, the ice maker was also replacedAgain Mr [redacted] was told to call us if the ice maker did not begin to produce ice in to hours. To the best of our knowledge Mr [redacted] refrigerator was repaired We have not heard anything from Mr [redacted] or his warranty company since the date of the repair We are confused as to why this complaint was filed.Thank you,Appliance Repair Center

This was the worst company I have ever had to deal withThey lied to us about needing two technicians to fix our washing machine, we got approval from [redacted] for the second technician and they were hostile with my wife about it refusing to take an authorization number and finally came out after called by [redacted] with only one technician who did the repIr by himselfThe same technician who told us it needed two technicians weeks ago and we have been washing clothes elsewhereThe owner "Steve" told my wife he didn't care what authorization she had he would do as he pleasedIt was a total fiasco Never have we been treated so poorly and what's bad reflection on [redacted] as well

On February 12, Mr*** called us and explained that he had an error code and a loud buzzing sound coming from the refrigerator and that the freezer section was not cooling properlyOur technician was sent to his home on the same day with a time frame of 3:pm - 6:pmIt was explained to
Mr*** that for $**.** the technician would come out, diagnose his refrigerator and if he was to fix it that day then that is all he would payIt was explained to Mr*** that our technicians do not go into a home to make a sale and that if any part or parts were needed when the technician left his home he would call in what was needed and the office would call him back to give him the part name, part number and pricing (if purchased from us) with the option to provide his own partsBut the $**.** would go towards the final repair billOn the first visit, February 12, 2018, the technician found the display board to not be working properly and showed it to Mr*** and went on to find that the evaporator fan had iced over and was stopping the evaporator fan from working properly and that was the buzzing soundThe technician thawed and removed any and all ice from the unit and the evaporator fan started to work as it should and that is when the technician explained to the customer that the freezer was over stocked restricting the air flow and that could possibly be the ice issue and that the broken display board was not showing the proper error code because some of the LED lights were not workingThe technician also explained that the display board should be changedThe technician explained, making sure that Mr*** understood, that if after correcting the air flow issue from being over stocked that if the ice came back that Mr*** would be needing a certain part and that would show itself after approximately 1/to weeksThe same technician went back out on February 22nd because Mr*** stated he had the same issueThe technician looked over the refrigerator again and found it to be working properly with the exception of the display board which was still not functioning properlyOn both of these occasions, Mr*** explained that he was not going to replace the display boardOn March 1st Mr*** contacted us again to tell us that the buzzing sound was back and he would like for the technician to come back and thaw the refrigerator againThat is when it was explained that if this problem was to return after correcting the air flow issue what part would be needed and that we would call him back and give him a price for that partThe only phone number that Mr*** has given us is his cell phoneHe explained that he works at the DMV and is unable to take his phone in to work with him and for us to leave him a messageWe would call and leave a message and he would return our call after business hoursIt was basically phone tagAfter further discussion, when able to contact MrBrown, it was determined that the only service he wanted was for us to continue to defrost his refrigerator at no additional charge even after he was given the prices of what was needed in order to repair the problemAs for the desired settlement that he is requesting; Mr*** was given a proper diagnosis and a service on the day of the first call and received a second visit at no charge; therefore, we will not be issuing a refund

Revdex.com Case # ***October 13, 2015Dear Revdex.com Representative,On June 15, a technician went to Mr***'s home to
diagnose the ice maker. The technician found
ice in the ice maker; so the technician explained to Mr*** that he
would
unplug the refrigerator so that the entire refrigerator (including the
electronic control board) would re-set, and it did. It was explained to Mr*** to wait to
hours to make sure the ice maker was fine, then call us back if it did not
make ice. June 18, Mr*** called
and said that it did not reset. It was
explained to Mr*** that a technician would come out with an ice maker
(which was the problem) and a water valve (just in case). At that time Mr*** explained that he was
going out of town and would contact us once he returned to schedule the
appointment. When Mr*** returned he
called and scheduled for July 27, 2015.
On the 27th the tech went out, re-diagnosed to confirm it was
the same issue, and proceeded to install the ice maker. Mr*** requested that the water valve also
be replaced to be on the safe side. Approximately
two weeks later Mr*** called and said that the ice maker did work but it
had stopped making ice again. On August
13, a technician went to Mr***'s house to re-diagnose the
problem. The technician found ice in the
bucket and then Mr*** went on to explain that it was not making ice
consistently and it took long to fill the ice bucket. Based on Mr***'s explanation the
technician explained that we possibly needed to replace the ice maker again
because the timing on the ice maker could possibly be off. Mr*** requested that we look into it
further before doing anything else. And
we did. It was confirmed and relayed to
Mr*** that the ice maker could be replaced under the manufacturer's part
warranty and that the manufacturer recommended that if that did not fix the
problem then it would be an electronic control board issueEvery time the
technicians went to diagnose they did not find any other issues (for example
frozen water lines, frozen water filter or wrong temperature in the freezer)
that would cause ice not to be made. The
manufacturer confirmed that it could only be one of those three things and this
was relayed to Mr***. At that time
Mr*** informed us that he did not want our company to continue working on
the matter because he was selling his house anyway. Mr*** has received product and services above and beyond
the amount he has paid for. Therefore,
there will not be a refund issuedWe apologize for the way Mr*** feels.Thank you,Appliance Repair Center

I have had a nightmare of an experience with this company Worst customer service EVER!! My washing machine was covered by a home warranty and I was referred to the Appliance Repair Center by the warranty company The technician came to my home and diagnosed the problem I paid a $deductible for my warranty He said he had to order a part It took two weeks for the part to come in Not once, did they call me to update me on the status of the part I called them numerous times and was given no satisfactory answer or estimate as to when the part would come in After numerous calls during that two week period, I called one morning to ask that they please call the company from which it was ordered in order to track it The woman who answered the phone said, miraculously, the part was delivered the night before Again, they did not call me to tell me, it was me calling them The technician came to my home that night and put in the part which included a bolt that held the agitator in When he left, he said he was running it through a cycle with white vinegar and to let it run its course minutes after he left, it was making a horrible banging sound The agitator had come completely out and was knocking inside the washtub I called him right away and he asked that I text pictureswhich I did immediately Apparently, the new bolt had broken in half, but he said the old bolt was in fine shape and could just come swap it out This was the late the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving He said someone would call me in the morning to arrange for him to come back I had been living without a machine for weeks at this point I had family coming in for the holiday which involved lots of sheets and towels The guy told me someone would call me the following day (which was Wednesday) They open at 8:am By 9:30, I called them They put me off saying they had not heard from the technician Numerous calls later, they still put my off They were working all day Wednesday and half a day Friday When I called Friday morning, the woman said she had my paper work in front of her and would get back to me........still nothing by the end of Friday On Monday, I started calling when they opened at 8:am No one answered and I got a voicemail After numerous calls and no answer, I finally left a voicemail (I am fairly certain they had caller ID and did not answer my calls) Still nothing By 5:20, I knew they were closed for the day I called and left a message saying I wanted my $deductible and that I would be contacting the Revdex.comI then went home and ordered a new washing machine online because I could not give any more energy into having my old machine fixed that was covered by a warranty, but couldn't be fixed because of the ineptitude of this company I paid the $deductible for my machine to be fixed and I am now having to have it hauled away to the Dump because it was never fixed

Absolute Praise for this Company! *** was prompt, focused on the task at hand, did not waste any time and he really hung in there with us to problem solve a solution to our washer issue I would recommend this company and will Thank you *** for your service

Ok, we will explain again about the service fees. We charge $[redacted] and what is included in that price is: a technician comes to your home and will diagnose what the problem is with your unit (refrigerator, range, dishwasher, etc) and if he or she can fix it or repair what the issue may be then that is all you will have to pay is the $[redacted]. If the technician can not fix or repair your unit because a part or parts are needed the technician will show you what is needed and when the technician leaves your home he sends all the information on the unit and what part or parts are needed to the office. Our technicians do not come in to your home to make a sale, they come in to diagnose and/or repair your unit. The office will do the research and pricing and get back to you with the part name, part number and what it will cost to purchase from us. You the consumer, with no pressure at all, has the decision, after you have been given all the information (part name, part number and our price) to purchase the part from us or to purchase the part on your own. We advise all of our customers that if they have an [redacted].com or any other online shopping to use them because they have been beating the pants off of everybody price wise. (We have no affiliation with the above mentioned companies.) In short, if the customer wishes to purchase his/her own parts we will still go out and install the parts if the customer would like for us to. Or after watching the technician you can possibly fix it yourself. If the customer decides to purchase from us they will pay for the part with tax included, the diagnostic and additional labor will be $[redacted].00 minus the $[redacted] that has been paid on the first visit (which leaves a $**.00 difference, the additional labor). In some rare cases diagnostics and labor would be $[redacted].00 minus the $[redacted] that was paid up front leaving $[redacted].00 difference, the additional labor for major repairs. This is what we do for everybody. Mr. [redacted] was given this same information and pricing to repair his refrigerator. Again, when we went out the first visit, the technician explained what was the course to follow after thawing out the unit and that the control board needed to be changed. Also, and as we explained, if there was a part that would be needed it would be determined after the approximate wait time that was explained to Mr. Brown; then we would get in to the particular parts needed. We sent our technician out a second time because Mr. [redacted] said that he had the same issue and upon further review of our notes, he also said that it wasn't cooling properly. Again, we are sorry about how Mr. [redacted] feels and we hope that after explaining it again to Mr. [redacted] that he did receive the service and the information that was needed for the price he has paid. Mr. [redacted] was not denied anything that he has tried to explain. We feel that after our phone contacts with him that it is best and safer for us not to send any of our staff to his home.

Revdex.com Case # [redacted]October 13, 2015Dear Revdex.com Representative,We received Mr. [redacted] work order with a problem description
“the back panel of fridge is icing up”.
On July 7, 2014 the technician went to Mr. [redacted] home. Mr. [redacted] also
explained...

that the ice maker wasn't making ice.
It was explained to Mr. [redacted] that because the evaporator coils were
frozen solid with ice that the fan could not properly circulate the air to have
the temperature that is needed for the ice maker to make ice.  The technician went back on July 15, 2015 and
replaced the first part (the bimetal defrost) and explained to Mr. [redacted] that
if it did not make ice in 24 to 48 hours to let us know, and he did. On July
18, 2015 the ice maker was also replaced. Again Mr. [redacted] was told to call us
if the ice maker did not begin to produce ice in 24 to 48 hours. To the best of our knowledge Mr. [redacted] refrigerator was
repaired.  We have not heard anything
from Mr. [redacted] or his warranty company since the date of the repair.  We are confused as to why this complaint was
filed.Thank you,Appliance Repair Center

This company is not being honest in their response. I never received any "diagnosis" as to what parts needed to be replaced and the cost until the last day I spoke with Andre, which was on March 1st. At the same time of finally stating what parts needed to be replaced and associated costs, they refused to provide service and repair my freezer, which is why I want a refund of the "Diagnostic fee" as they are refusing to provide service, which is the sole purpose I entered the contract with this company as they claimed the diagnostic fee would go towards the cost of the repair. Furthermore, it took nearly 3 weeks for them to finally provide this information to me. Appliance Repair Center is in breach of the contract and as a result should refund my money. Had this company response been honest, when they claimed they told me the parts that needed to be replaced on the first visit, then why would they come out a second time? and why would I call back continuously every day for a week straight to get this information? They mentioned I was difficult to get touch with, and that is not entirely true, on two occasions I was not able to answer my phone when they called, and as I didn't get the message until after they closed, I called them first thing in the morning the next business day. Which again, If they are being honest with saying they provided the cost of the repairs and what parts needed to be replaced on the first visit? then why couldn't they just leave that information in the voicemail?  And to this date, I have received nothing in writing from this company regarding the diagnostic/receipt/estimate to repair despite multiple attempts to get this information.  On one phone call, they asked for my email and I provided it to them, and they never sent anything. On my last call to Andre on March 1st, he stated he would mail it to me, and again I have not received anything.
