Revdex.com spoke to Sindi at the business and the following was relayed: ***'s dress is here, it came in on time and it is ready to be picked upThe wedding is still several months awayThere is nothing to refund, the customer can pick up the dress

I do not accept the response from this businessThey claim that the day I walked in (after being told to come in and not being told I needed to make an appointment), I was the only person in the storeThe lady who pushed me away did so because she said she was not a seamstress and could not be the one to tailor, not because she was busyI made my appointment and returned to meet with the seamstress, but the same lady who initially pushed me away was there and decided that she would just pin the dress since the seamstress wasn't thereI will reiterate that she could have done this when I walked in the first day as it was in the middle of the day and I was the only one in the empty storeIt took her about a minute to pin when she finally did soIt wasn't an issue of timing or schedulingRealizing I could not trust Apropos, I took my "pinned" dress from the store and brought it to the tailor that was in charge of my wedding dressAdditionally, when I first ordered the dress, I was not given an estimate of when it might arriveI should have been told that. There is nothing left to do on my end as my wedding has passed, but I will not let this business respond with a liePlease record my complaintI need others to hold this business accountable
Regards,
*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
MY DAUGHTER DID NOT LOOSE ANY WEIGHT AND ALL I ASKED FOR WAS A PROOF OF PURCHASE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS ODD THAT THE DRESS CAME IN WITH IN A WEEK I DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM PAYING FOR THE DRESS AND DID NOT WANT ANY MONEY BACK I JUST WANTED HER SHOW ME WHEN IT WAS ORDERED BECAUSE OF MY DAUGHTER IS A SIZE 8 AND SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS ORDERDING A SIZE 12 AND THEN WE END UP GETTING A 14 AND HAD TO HAVE ALTERED BECAUSE IF IT WAS A FLOOR MODSEL IT SHOULD NOT BE FULL PRICE.

Ms . [redacted] came in with her daughter and purchased a special order prom dress. I want to make it very clear that these dresses are made for the customer and require time usually 12 to 16 weeks and generally arrive mid to late April. The [redacted] came in for their fitting and [redacted] was asked to stand...

on the pedestal to cut her hem. There are several linings and crinoline and overlay. Each layer is cut very evenly and accurately with scissors and they requested that the train on the dress also be removed. I also pinned the skirt when I was asked but I did mention that it was a mermaid dress and it fit very well and by taking the hips additionally she would have a problem sitting, dancing and getting out of the car. I was unaware of the necklace purchase their sales associate had been out of work for seven weeks and was expected back the next day. The necklace had been on backorder and was not received here in the store until May 1. I credited Ms [redacted]. When the [redacted] arrived for their fitting my associate was pressing it and steaming it. [redacted] tried the dress on and it fit perfect, I asked her how it fit and she said it felt good. The dress was taken in in the hips and the waist and two pins remained at the bottom of the decorative edge of the mermaid skirt because the seamstress feared that it was too tight. Avery stepped off of the pedestal and I noticed that after the dress was steamed the crinoline was showing I asked her to get back up so that I could cut the crinoline with scissors and then I would use a rotory cutter to give it a smooth edge. The front and the back of the dress are completely even . I started cutting and Ms. [redacted] refused me to finish. I cannot fix the problem if the customer refuses to allow me to finish. The dress was perfect. Ms [redacted] told me that she was taking me to small claims court and I told her that I was taking a picture of her daughter in the dress to prove that the dress was perfect They kept taking photos with the skirt of the dress folded up so it looked imperfect. I wanted a photo for my records. I shoved no one nor would I ever do that. I walked away to get my sales associate when I returned that were leaving with the dress unpaid. I said you are paying for the dress or you are not taking it. They said they were only paying the amount of the deposit and were leaving with it. I said if you leave without paying I will call the police. They left came back in I credited them for the necklace.

Ms [redacted] special ordered a dress for her daughter in the color ivory. The dress was not available in the color in time for her prom and I called Ms [redacted] several times to let her know that the dress was not available in that color only the mint. I was unable to leave a message her voice mail was...

not set up. She called me to check on the dress and I told her that I had been trying to reach her. I gave her the color option and she agreed. I called her when the dress arrived. Her daughter came in for a fitting and the top was large I pinned it and sent it to alterations. The top was very involved with a back zipper and straps. The dress came back from alterations and the customer tried it on and it was still big I called my seamstress who works out of her studio and asked if they could go to her so that she could see the top on her since it was extremely big after the first alteration. They went there. My seamstress realtered the dress and now the customer wanted to have the skirt taken in. She runs track. I have her original measurements from when we ordered the dress in size 14 based on her waist measurement and her shoulders and back. Obviously she lost weight. I have the manufacturers invoice. I did nothing wrong I ordered her a dress it came in she had it altered and she looked beautiful at the prom. It was a 650.00 dress and Ms [redacted] did not want to pay for it.

Ms. [redacted] ordered a dress from me in navy blue with a wear date of April 25. I placed the order with the manufacturer who took the order and gave me an approximate delivery date. When I checked on the dress the manufacturer said it was running late but coming. I communicated this to Mrs. [redacted] every...

step of the way. I do not make the dresses and I am at the mercy of the manufacturer I never told her the dress was not made yet, it was in transit and running late. The manufacturer told me that they received it in black the newest color. I ran this by Mrs. [redacted] who consented and I ordered he dress in that color in case the navy came too close for her need. The black dress arrived they came into the store and were not the only customers and I marked her hem. There was no discussion of a discount and the manufacturer would never offer one. Mrs. [redacted] said that she was not paying for her dress and would be contacting an Attorney and was very threatening. I said if you want the dress then it must be paid for. I provided her with the same dress in the same size in black not navy upon her consent. The navy dress arrived from the manufacture the next day

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am rejecting this response because the owner is publicly lying about me. I did not have 4 pregnant bridesmaids, I had two. The bridesmaids she is claiming had similar names that she switched the dresses were [redacted] and [redacted] (not similar at all). The 9 month pregnant person she is referring to is not the issue in the least, it was just the start of my bad experience. The fact that a bridesmaids dress was not altered at all broke at my wedding is the issue. Also, the [redacted] Group had to send her a certified letter just to get her to respond to their calls. Her shop advised my girls to be fitted the last week of March, first week of April. I was contacted by the media, I did not contact them and I think her reviews speak for themselves and I will not allow her to lie about me. The only reason she is choosing to respond months later is because so many people have stepped forward with being mistreated by her and her shop. Apropos Bridal continues and will continue to twist the story to make it seem like my bridesmaids and I are at fault and liars. I still have not received the documents she told me she would mail me and she never returned the call to [redacted] about her dress. It took over a month and only after put in the public eye for her to respond to my compliant. Bottom line in this matter is that [redacted]'s dress which was not altered and in Sindi's words "fits her perfectly and I zipped her personally" is the dress that did not last my wedding and forced her to change during my first dance. The zipper broke and was the original zipper because the dress had not been altered at all. As much as the bridal salon thinks of me as an "internet bride" and that I am the one who contacted the media, she is very wrong. All I want is for [redacted] to get a refund for a dress that she was unable to wear for more than 2 hours. My experience  at Apropos was awful and I'd like to put it behind me. However, I will not accept what is not true and that my cousin having to deal with a dress that came apart in front 200 guests at my wedding.

May I first start by saying Ms [redacted] did not make any purchases in my store. Her bridesmaids did. [redacted] became pregnant along the way and was due 1 week before the wedding. [redacted] was pregnant and was due 5 months before the wedding. [redacted] also became pregnant and would be close to 9 months pregnant at the time of the wedding. We have charged for alterations for 5 years and the word cap is not used in this shop It is not possible to cap an alteration price. There is another shop in the Capital District that caps their alterations at several hundreds of dollars. The bridesmaids were told that their dresses were in. They could have been picked up or fitted at any time. No one picked up their dresses and they all asked how close to the wedding they could be fitted. Obviously the pregnant one would be growing and the other losing weight as well as the others who stated they were working on losing weight. I enjoyed [redacted] and her beautiful baby and helped her to the car. I did not realize that she didn't pay for her alterations until Ms [redacted] told me I called her in fear of the wrath of the error. I do not use the word "YUP". [redacted] measured bust [redacted] waist [redacted] and hips ** inches and was sized as an **. [redacted] measured bust [redacted] waist ** and hips [redacted] and was sized as a ** based on her waist.  The dresses were labeled with their names. All dresses zipped in this store are and not inferior. She called the manufacturer who called me to confirm that the zippers were good. I did. The manufacturer never told me to call Ms [redacted]. The zippers were and are between her and the manufacturer. Ms [redacted] admits to changing the zippers out to use "cheap" zippers. That was her decision. There was no reason to return the dresses to the manufacturer there was nothing wrong with them. In 29 years I have never returned a bridesmaids dress to any manufacturer. I provide excellent customer service and have for 29 years.

Ms [redacted] bridesmaids purchased bridesmaids dresses in March for an August wedding. The manufacturers production time is 16 to 20 weeks. The delivery from the manufacturer was July based on when the dresses were ordered. Ms [redacted] refused to accept that date. The manufacturer charges an upcharge for...

dresses larger then size 16 and we put that on our price tag. Ms [redacted] would call daily and argue these items repeatedly. The dresses arrived and they were too long as expected and needed a hem

The prices are on the dresses. She purchased a dress with a price tag on it so she was fully aware of the price when she placed the order.

Ms [redacted] claims her daughters dress was 'used' we do not sell used dresses. I provided proof of delivery of her dress and I have a photo of her daughter that they posted on [redacted] of her beautiful prom dress. Ms [redacted] never returned to the store with the dress as any person would do even after...

her daughter wore the dress.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Apropos and the owner were found guilty in the town of [redacted] small claims court of this and a judgement to me was issued in the amount of $302.00 which the owner has not paid to date.
