Just a little while ago I called The Arizona Tenants Advocates hotline at ###-###-#### for information regarding their services as I am currently rental a home that has because unlivable and the landlord is not willing to fix anythingRight from the start, the representative was rude, trying to rush me, talking over me and talking to me like I am stupidThough I wanted to scream at him, I remained calm and inquired about their serviceshe asked what the problem was and when I told him, he rudely interrupted me and was very condescendingHe raised his voice when asking "SO WHAT CAN I ACTUALLY HELP YOU WITH?!" an I told him I would take care of it myself, and he hung upI will NEVER call this joke of a business againBeing in costumer service myself I cannot believe an employee would speak to a potential customer the way I was just spoken to
I contacted this organization for help with a roach infestation in my aptwhen I moved from Indiana to Arizona in June 2015.This organization was professional and quickly prepared paperwork to allow me to break my lease with my former apartment in ***, ArizonaI highly recommend ATA to support and advocate for you as go through the break-lease process with your landlord or rental propertyMY only criticism is that the process requires you to read through a lot of paperwork and it can be confusing but the staff is there to answer questions and support you and they did just thatThanks ATA Great job...***
I had a very negative experience with this company I had an issue with bed bugs that management wasn't taking care of I called Ken and he convinced me to take the route of claiming that the name of the apartment complex wasn't registered with the state and therefore wasn't an entity entitled to enter into a contract with me The lease, therefore, was unenforceable Ken insisted this was a legal argument -- and it is What Ken didn't tell me was that it has never held up in a court of law (I found this out from an attorney in Tucson that I had to consult because Ken wouldn't call me back or answer my emails after I retained him to do what he said he would do) As a result, former management reported the financial damages to a credit agency and it now sits on my credit report Ken told me if this happens that he had a credit fix company who could remove it From everything I've read, most of these companies run scams Given my experience with Ken, and what I've learned subsequently, I will probably not contact the credit fix company I paid Ken for After Ken took my money and did preliminary paper work for me, he "disappeared" I could not get him to respond to my inquiries about what to do The woman who answered the phone made the excuse for him that he was "busy" and to send what I had up to them and they would take care of it, but I didn't see that anything was getting done I consulted lawyers both of whom said that what Ken was doing did not get me out of the lease without consequence (as Ken insisted when I talked to him before I hired him) Hiring Ken was -- in my experience -- a total waste of time and money I have never felt so scammed in my life
I am greatly appreciate ATA>Ken V***!!!
I was in a rental home for years and the rental home had issue's from the beginning
The property owners would be notified and stated okay but it remained ongoing and house deterioration got worse through the years
The property owner have anger issues which I was scared to request items fixed and to even move.Boy I could go on and on
I finally was able to move with the Support,Guidance of ATA and Ken V***!!!Yeah!!!
I just won a court case about my old rental, and have Arizona Tenants
Advocates to thank for it. When push came to shove, ATA made sure the
details were covered, and that is what made a world of difference.
Originally I went to ATA in 2012 for help to break my lease. An
inspector was sent out to my apartment. Then they prepared all the
paperwork to give notice of complaints to my landlord, including all the
illegal provisions of my lease. ATA followed up with letters to terminate
and return the keys. I thought it was all over.
Unfortunately, three years later my landlord had retained a collection
agency, which never previously sent me any correspondence, but out of
the blue I was served with a lawsuit. Just my bad luck.
Despondent, I went back to ATA. The counselor still had my file. We
looked over the paperwork and he told me I had a great case for my
defense, but it would require me to pay quite a bit of attorney fees.
He referred me to the attorney listed on the ATA website.
It turns out that ATA had uncovered a legality about rental registration
that unquestionably provided me with grounds to end my lease. I had
given all the proper notices. The attorney was expensive but did a
fantastic job, and I was able to prevail without even having to
appear in court. The best part is, my old landlord and its collection
agency will have to pay for my defense, because I am being awarded
my attorney fees and court costs.
ATA will do wonders for you, so long
as you follow through. There might be ups and downs, but in the end you
will be left standing.
Recently I had moved into a dwelling and signed a 1 year lease. I lived in my dwelling for about 4 months before deciding to break my lease. I had issues with the whole place from the start. So I felt I had a pretty good case against my landlord. That's when I decided to give Ken V[redacted] a call. I had previously seen him on Chanel 3 news talking about his Breaking the lease business. I set up an appointment and I was on board ! He took care of my case very quickly. I did my homework in the packet he gave me for signing up to become a member. Before I knew it my lease was broken. I had no bad repercussions from my landlord. All I recieved was my 500$ security deposit check. I have no words only recommendations. If you are in the same situation give Ken V[redacted] a call. I promise it will be worth your time. He is an all around great guy! I'm happy I went to him and don't regret any money spent! :)

I have been currently going through a stressful living situation for the past 120+ days by myself until a friend suggested going through Arizona Tenants Advocates. They were very professional and explained everything step-by-step with me of what actions will be done in order to break the lease with my current apartment, and any back-lash that could occur from the landlord.
It was very inexpensive compared to what I would have paid had I stayed the remainder of the lease agreement. I almost compromised all of this due to me turning in the key to the office after being advised to mail the key out via USPS mail, but AZ Tenants was able to repair the damage that I had caused, so I highly recommend you not veer from its advice and only do what is instructed of you.
AZ Tenants handled all the paperwork and I feel confident that this work will excuse me from the lease with little to no repercussions. Recommend with high regards.
My husband and I are members of this organization. We hired [redacted] to help us with a maniac landlord. (November 4, 2013) Thank God for this man and his organization. All was conducted in a professional manner and we appreciate [redacted]'s superior knowledge of AZ tenant law. If you are in a rental jam, call Arizona Tenants Association. You will get the help you need in a timely manner!
I want to Thank Ken and his associates for assisting me when it was very much needed. I did not know what to do until a friend recommended that I contact the association. It was the best thing that I needed to complete for my own peace of mind. The place I rented was horrible and not up to basic living standards. Thank you Ken for every thing. Dr. Z. Hezekiah

I went to ATA for assistance in getting out of a lease due to how badly the domain was being maintained. I was treated with profession and was advised in a clear way how the process would work. I hired ATA and very quickly they had an inspector come out and discover almost double the issues my rental was having. It came to a point where the landlord released me from my obligation to the lease as they even knew they wouldn't be able to win this case. ATA was there beside me through the whole process and guided me in how to handle the situation. It was quick, easy and painless. I would definitely recommend ATA to my friends and family; even the stranger on the street. Thank you ATA!
