Today July 22, 2014 I received a letter from my credit card company advising me that they will credit my account with the amount that the Company Artifacteria has taken from my credit card account through [redacted]. 
I would like to thank you for all the efforts you had given complaint ID [redacted].  Artifacteria never did reply to me nor did they send me the merchandise ordered.
 
If possible I would like to know if the amount that was reimbursed by the credit card company would that be considered a bad debt?  Or would [redacted]  accept this reimbursement as a loss to business revenue.  Just for the record I would like to know who end up paying when a merchant failed to deliver, be it a scam or a legitimate business that was crooked.

Review: Re: Order # [redacted]. I ordered a curtain valance ([redacted] with trim) from the Decorating With Lace Website on 1/12/14, it was shipped on 2/19/14, arrived 2/25/14. It was the wrong valance (without trim). I called the company on 3/4/14, spoke to [redacted], owner, who assured me that the correct valance and a return mailer would be sent out the very next day, she gave me another order number, 22277. I never received the mailer or the correct valance. I have tried on several occasions to contact them via voice mail and email. I received no reply. I finally sent the valance back via registered mail on 3/24/14 along with a letter requesting a full refund plus my shipping cost ($39 + $8.50 = $47.50) The package was signed for by [redacted] on 3/25/14. I have not received any communication from her or the company and have not received a refund. I have called and left messages and my calls have not been returned.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $39 plus the $8.50 for postage, for a total of $47.50. I originally paid this via PayPal, and requested that they credit my account, but a viable check would be fine. I just want my money back and to have the issue resolved.

Review: I ordered products on their web site on January 28, 2014. They charged my credit card on February 1, 2014 and it posted to my account February 3, 2014. I have not received my ordered yet. First I was told the delay was due to weather. Next, their messages indicated my order would be mailed the following week - for three weeks in a row. Now their voice mail just says they are having difficulty.Desired Settlement: I would like the products that I ordered.

Review: I purchased curtains from this company online on Jan. 8th, 2014. They have only answered one phone call from me which I made probably a month after I placed the order. Told there was a back order. Since there has only been a voicemail stating orders are behind. My money was taken from my account almost immediately. I emailed and left voicemails requesting a refund and have had no response. There is no mailing address listed on the website, only that they are located in [redacted] County, PA so I had to just pick a zip from that area as I have no idea of their specific location. They did have a ** page which has recently disappeared. I posted on the ** page my dissatisfaction as did a number of other women who were going through the same thing with orders they also placed in Jan. and they also tried contacting them the same way that I did with no results. I think this company must be scamming people. Please look into this company as they still have a website where others could fall into the same trap. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of my $151.69. My order number was [redacted] if it is necessary that you need it.

Review: I ordered 2 lace runners from Artifacteria's division Decorating with Lace Outlet back on 1/31. I have emailed as well as called numerous times leaving messages as to where my product was and I was never called back, but was emailed only once back in Feb stating that they were waiting for one of the runners, since then my emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. Now when I call ###-###-#### the voicemail is full. They had no problem taking my money, but have failed to provide me for product I have paid for.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back and they need to be held responsible for doing this to people. I have read on [redacted] I'm not the only one.

Review: On January 4, 2014 I ordered two lace panels from [redacted]. I contacted them via email on 1/23/14 wanting to know the status of my order #[redacted] as their website would not allow me to look up my order. I heard nothing back. I then called them approximately two weeks later and talked with a CSR. He stated that my tier was in and ready to ship but they were waiting on the panels. I asked how long for the panels and he said another 2 weeks and they would be shipped. I asked him to ship the tier immediately, which I received 2 weeks later. To date I have not received the lace panels. I called again at the end of February and left a message. No return call or email was received. I emailed on March 2 requesting an immediate refund and cancellation of my order. I heard nothing back again. I called a week ago and left another message requesting an immediate refund and cancellation of my order. Again, no reply. Today, March 28, 2014, I called and left another message requesting an immediate refund for my panels and shipping and handling. No reply. I told them on the machine I was going to contact the Revdex.com to report them. Their message now states that they are way behind on shipping, but no one will contact me.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of 108.00 for the panels and the 10.50 charged for my shipping and handling.

Review: I ordered $157.30 worth of merchandise on 1/29/2014.

I have emailed the company and phoned several times. Email was not answered; only once did a person pick up the phone (March or April) and said orders are behind, it'll be coming, wait another 4-6 weeks.

Now it is the end of July and I went to the website to find the phone # so I could call again, and the website is not operational -- decoratingwithlaceoutlet.com

I found my receipt, which listed the company phone # as ###-###-####, and I got the answering machine (again).Desired Settlement: I either want the curtains I ordered, now, or I want a full refund.

Review: On January 2, 2014 I placed an order for two pairs of lace curtains with Decorating with Lace Outlet. It was a custom length order, so I expected to wait perhaps 4-6 weeks. It is now April 15 and I still do not have my curtains. I have e-mailed their customer service 4 times and received no reply. I called them several times, many times the phone was busy or just rang and rang with no answer. The first time I actually got someone, a gentleman looked up my order and said it was due to be done the third week in March. When I still hadn't received it by the first week in April I called again. There was only a recorded message saying orders were delayed. I logged a complaint with [redacted], but as it has been past 45 days they would/could do nothing to help.Desired Settlement: I believe I am due a refund of the payment of $132.90 that they processed on January 3,2014! I paid through [redacted] and it was a direct transfer from my bank account.

Review: On 4/2/2014 I ordered lace kitchen curtains. I paid 223.90 via [redacted]. I have not been able to contact these people. I have sent them emails but get no reply.Desired Settlement: I would like my retirement money returned. Thank you.

Review: I placed online order #[redacted] on 02/01/2014. The order was paid in full with my charge card. I have paid the charge bill as well. I have not received the curtains. I get no response from multiple e-mails to customer service. The phone answering machine message is outdated and the voice box is full.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund so that I can move on with a reliable business. I need to complete the decorating project I have. The order expense makes it hard to pay again without a refund.

Review: On January 31, 2014 I ordered four lace curtain panels in a custom length. I contacted the web site to inquire as to how long and got no response. I contacted them again and received an email from [redacted] on Feb 8, 2014 stating it would be 4 weeks. The site states as I copy and paste here " Custom Orders. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery. Longer in the fall and around the holidays". I emailed after the three weeks and got no reply, I emailed again and was told that the weather had them without power so they were behind. After several more weeks I called only to get a recorded message stating that orders up to [redacted] would be sent out that week. Still I have received nothing!!! I called again and left a message stating I would be away from April 6th to the 12th and would appreciate my curtains being here when I returned. It's now April 14th, I have no curtains, no correspondence from the company, no refund to my cc and the site still says my order status is "In process".Desired Settlement: I want the curtains now shipped over night (and be the correct order) OR a full refund immediately!!!!!

Review: I placed an order with this company on January 4, 2014 - my credit card was charged immediately in the amountof $ 65.80 for 5 items. I have not received any of the items nor have I received any communication from the company. I have left messages asking them to call me and have emailed tham and sent letters all to no avail. I would my merchandise or my money back. My order # is [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like them to address this issue as soon as possible.

Review: Unable to contact customer support concerning a simple question on a back ordered item. Like when may I expect it? Credit Card has been charged for full order and only partial order shipped with no indication when back order will arrive. Also phone calls to both toll free numbers go unanswered or to voicemail and no return call. Also contacted by email asking for approximate ship time of back order went unanswered. I did tell them in email if I did not hear from them in 2 business days I would file this complaint and notify my bank to withhold amount of back ordered items.Desired Settlement: I would like to know if there is any life form at Artifacteria that could possibly call or return an email. That is customer service 101. Then I would like my back ordered items ASAP. Otherwise I will have to return the partial shipment get my money back and order from a more reputable website.

Review: I placed an online order with Decorating With Lace Outlet - Artifacteria on March 16, 2014. They immediately took the money ($48.50) from my bank account because I paid for the order with a debit card. I contacted this company first by email, then by phone. The number listed on my receipt had been changed and I was directed to a new number. The phone would answer with a message that shipments had been delayed due to bad weather on the East coast. I called this company several times a week for 3 weeks, and left a message each time. No messages were returned with either a phone call or an email. Eventually that phone number was no longer in service, the company website was down, and emails would not go through to the address furnished on the receipt. It is August, 2014 and I have NO merchandise but this company HAS my money along with many other consumers. I have googled complaints against this company and found that I am not the only victim of a scam.Desired Settlement: I believe that the company should act in good faith and give the consumers a refund immediately.They have made no effort to contact the consumers, either by returning phone calls or answering emails. NOT good business practice!

Review: I ordered a lace dresser scarf from the company, paid in advance and never received the item. All phone numbers for the company have been disconnected and their websites are no longer valid. There is no way to reach the company and other people have posted to their website of paying for items they never received.Desired Settlement: The people who have purchased from this company and have received nothing for their money should be reimbursed. Also, something should be done about their website postings so that others will not order in the future and encounter the same problem.

Review: On March 8, 2014, I placed an order on line for several items including a lace table top, lace placemats and lace runner. That Monday (March 10, 2014) my bank account was debited for the amount of these items.Today is April 8, 2014 and I have yet to receive my order. When I go online to check the status of my order it doesn't even show up in the system. I have sent 3 emails and have left 2 voice mails asking when my product will ship. I have received no response whatsoever. Each time I call there is no "live" person during normal business hours to answer my call. The last time I called, there was a recording stating "Due to unforeseen circumstances we are way behind in our shipping this year". If I had known this at the time I originally placed the order I would have never done it.Desired Settlement: Because they obviously do not know/care what they are doing, and I am not the only one that has had problems with this company (check out [redacted]), I would appreciate it if the Revdex.com would look into this seemingly "shady" company.Please let me know what you will do and when I can expect to receive a response from you.Thank you.

Review: Total scam. I ordered curtains on Jan. 8th and my [redacted] account was immediately debited - website said they would arrive approx. 3 weeks later. When they didn't arrive I called & spoke with a man who said it would be another couple of weeks. When I still didn't have them late Feb. I called back again to receive a message they they were behind due to terrible snow this winter. Then I called back again to receive a message that certain order #s (including mine) were being shipped that week, but never received anything. Had to call again and VM said we are still backed up so please let us know when you need your item (I left a message saying I needed them ASAP) - still no curtains! And now the phone number has been disconnected. I have filed a case on [redacted] to get my money back.Desired Settlement: Please refund my [redacted] account in full.
