Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with the staff in February 2016 when I injured my foot.  At that time, no one ever said anything about needing a 30 day notice.  My contract was for a total of 6 sessions.  I spoke the the staff again about stopping my membership (because the facility smelled foul and was filthy as well), though my main reason for canceling was that I found I did not use the membership.  At that time, they never said anything about needing a 30 day notice. Another time I stopped in and spoke with available staff and he told me that I had to pay for the six sessions and that would fulfill my agreement.   Six payments were made.  I was astonished to find that they continued to charge me for three more months after my agreement was fulfilled!  When I came into the facility to get this rectified they STILL  said nothing about needing a 30 day notice.  They kept saying they were having corporate issues and that someone, someday would get in touch with  me.  No one from a corporate office has ever contacted me.  I have since shared my story with others and have discovered that they had the same thing happen to them with this company.  I expect a refund for those three months that were wrongfully charged to my account.  Thank you.

Ms. [redacted],
We would like to do what we can to help you resolve your
issue with our billing system. First, the gym and...

personal training divisions
are separate companies operating within the same building. The front desk
representatives do not have access to the personal training accounts, so it is
the client’s responsibility to update their information with both companies if
they are utilizing the personal training services. [redacted], our third party
billing company, does send out “collection notices” in order to collect on past
due payments. They are not, however, a collection agency that effects your
credit. We do not have access to any information that would give us access to
your credit score.
July payment was not received placing a
$200 balance on the account.
August payment was not received, increasing
the balance to $400.
Payment of $100 received on 8/22/2016,
decreasing balance to $300
Payment of $110 received on 9/6/2016,
decreasing the balance to $190
September payment was not received,
increasing balance to $390 plus a $10 billing return fee
October payment was not received,
increasing balance to $610 including the return fee.
We were able to locate your freeze request that was
submitted on 8/31/2016, and I have gone ahead and removed the past due balances
for September and October ($400 +$20 return service fees). Unfortunately, the past due balances for July
and August are still due, as only $210 was paid off with the two payments
received on 8/22/2016 and 9/6/2016. A total past due balance of $190 is still
posted. Once this payment is received, we can completely remove you from the
billing and collection list, and cancel your personal training account. The sessions
you have paid for do not expire and can be utilized at any time.
We do apologize for the inconvenience, this may have caused,
however, we would like to reassure you that we have not sent in any information
to the credit bureau. Please feel free to contact us directly at the corporate
office ([redacted]) if you have any additional questions.
Respectfully,
Aspire

Inspire is the worst place to workout in Greeley. Biggest POS facility. Poor policies. Charging me a $29 "annual fee" with 6 days left on my contract is just one example. People are trained by personal trainers that aren't even nationally certifed.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I will let others know of this "open ended" contract full of loopholes. I am very disapointed with this company and its staff and lack of communication.

I am rejecting this response because:
I no longer want to be opt into this. I was told this gym would be opened the beginning of the year. Its false advertising and I dont want to be apart of this any further. Please close this account immediately.

Worst service ever, almost a legal battle to end membership. As an over weight new mother I was seeking professional training and told by my trainer that I couldn't do push ups because, (I am female)!! this is the level of service for the company. It seemed like a group of kids trying to run a gym fresh out of high school with their 6 weeks training certificate. This place has become a personal nightmare for me. I have sought out professional help to stop the monthly charges. My best advice stick to the known older gyms in town that are run by adult professionals, save yourself the trouble and pay the little more a month so you can truly enjoy taking care of yourself.

Charged me a "maintenance fee" after paying up front without my authorization. Are yelling me I can't remove the auto payment method after the annual term is up unless I physically come in and cancel or cancel my debit card. What? Won't recommend them ever.

After almost 12 months following membership cancellation, my bank account was just run for $20.00. They tell me I have to come in in-person to handle the situation. Nothing can be done over the phone. Filing a dispute with my bank. If I could give them no stars I would. Horrible service.

To Whom It May Concern,
Inspire Fitness located in Greeley, Colorado, opened its doors to the public on April 10th, 2014.  As per our business plan, we conduct a 60-120 day promotion and marketing "pre-sale," in which we sign members up for the gym at a discounted price....

All memberships are not billed or considered active members until the day of opening.  At the Greeley location, a few construction delays caused the pre-sale to last the full 120 day duration.  As stated before, members who signed up before the gym opened were not billed anything toward their accounts until they were provided a gym service.  Ms. [redacted] chose to cancel her agreement before the construction finished.  Her member agreement was removed and her file was cancelled.  Unfortunately, due to a data entry error, her maintenance premium annual fee was not removed from her account.  Human error is an unfortunate but normal occurrence in any business, in Ms. [redacted] case the situation was rectified with nothing more than a simple phone call.  Her membership was cancelled properly, the incorrect balance was adjusted to zero, her information erased, and her name was removed from the bill collection list with no  direct impact on credit or any similar concern.  Inspire Fitness is a new company, and with all new businesses there is a learning curve.  The lessons learned from Mr. [redacted] membership error has been applied to all future procedure.  Thank you for your time.
Stay Inspired,
Inspire Fitness Management

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Christian G[redacted].  I am the Mountain West Senior Operations Manager for...

Inspire Fitness.  I have conducted an in person investigation using all Inspire Fitness service procedures and computer history of Mrs. [redacted] account.  After investigation and questioning of Inspire Greeley's training staff I have been able to produce this response.  Mrs. [redacted] started her training account on 5/5/2014.  She never approached a manager to cancel her personal training during the 72 hour full refund/cancellation time frame nor did she provide a doctor's note to freeze her training until she was able to work out.  She continued to pay for and participate in personal training for June and July with no issues reported.  Her payments started to decline in August.  Our records show that Mrs. [redacted] first approached the Training Manager on 2/3/2015 to cancel her account for the reason of relocation.  The personal training contract she signed with the Inspire training staff was an agreement to pay for 12 months, at the rate of $400.00 per month, from the 5/5/2014 start date.  She was informed that in order to cancel her account without paying half the remainder of the balance, as per Inspire Corporate policy and guidlines of her contractual agreement, she would need to produce a printed change of address form for her relocation.  Mrs. [redacted] failed to return with her proof of address change and never returned to the facility.  Due to the terms of her agreement signed on 5/5/2014, Mrs. [redacted] currently has a balance of $800.00 that has yet to be collected.  As a side note, the sessions Mrs. [redacted] paid for are still unused.  They are a service she paid for and is eligible to either use, or transfer to a friend or family member.  Thank you for the information. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to resolve Mrs. [redacted] Issue. Have a good day.Christian G[redacted]Inspire Fitness Senior Manager[redacted]

The staff are unsafe to say the least. Inattentive to several members asking for help due to focus on the computer. Some trainers were playing on equipment, the others behind the desk were playing catch.
