Hello [redacted], I did get a chance to speak to [redacted] Complaint #[redacted]  and we did come to a resolution, she stated that once she receives the funds back in her account she would contact you “Revdex.com” and advise that this issue has been resolved with no complication once I took care of it....

Thank you again for bringing this to the attention of Assisting America and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach me any time Mon-Fri9-6 pm PST.

When you create a FSA username and password the system tells you not to give them to anyone. This company wanted me to give them my username, I said: I'm not giving you that information!" and hung up the phone. Beware!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me get this complaint resolved they refunded money not sure how to post that they refunded the money I sent them and I feel that The Revdex.com helped get a resolution to my complaint I wanted to post that the complaint was resolved with the help from all the caring and wonderful employees at the Revdex.com Thank you for helping me I’m very  grateful for your help.

Sincerely [redacted]

This company contacted me via mail about consolidating my student loans and helping me qualify for a lower monthly payment. After talking with an employee and sharing some information, she said that she could qualify me for a payment that was about $100 a month cheaper than I was paying. I was told that all I would have to do is pay Assisting America 3 months of my student loans which would be in deferment during that time.
After my loans were consolidated I learned that the Assisting America employee submitted false information on my behalf to qualify me for the lower payment. Assisting America informed me that the employee had been fired and after 3 months and several unreturned phone calls and emails to Assisting America's processing department and signing a form promising not to bring them to court, I finally got my money back. This company is unresponsive, untrustworthy, and all in all a scam. I now pay a little bit more than I had been paying each month and did not take them to court only because the lawyers fees may have been more than damages. Do not use this company as you can consolidate loans yourself.

Review: I contacted Assisting America on January 7th 2016. The purpose of my call was to see if I qualified for my loans to be waived through University of Phoenix. I spoke with a man named [redacted] (his extension is [redacted]) and I gave him a bunch of my personal information. He told me that I should have the resolution by Friday which was the next day. He told me he'd call me. I didn't hear back so I called the following Monday. In total I have left 5 messages for [redacted] and I left a message on the main line. I made it clear that I was uncomfortable that no one has called me back and that I had given out personal information. It is now 02/14/16 and I still haven't heard back. I have left messages demanding someone call me back to validate the person I spoke with was no a scammer. Still no call. I want to speak with whoever took all of my information, promised a call back and then NO ONE from the company has called me back or ever answered the phone. I want to make sure my information is secure and I want a supervisor to call me and explain exactly what happened and why their phone systems seem so shady.Desired Settlement: Make sure my information wasn't stolen by this [redacted] employee and that my claim was properly processed. I am really concerned my information was taken for unethical reasons. If this is a legit employee have his work ethic evaluated. I want to stop worrying that my information was stolen and I want someone to call me back. They said 24 hours and it's been a month and a half. The contact I was given was [redacted] X [redacted]

Do not do business with this company. They are a complete and total scam. Everything they do is fraudulent. They connect themselves with the department of education and tell you that you have to pay a $699 service fee to enroll in the program. You can take care of your loans yourself and do the exact same thing with either the department of education or your current loan servicer. Please look at those options before you use these services. They have their agents say whatever is necessary to get you through. This is a sales based commission company and every agent that you enroll in the program with receives your money, not the department of education. These agents try and give you low monthly payment plans, but what they are doing to make those is making your family size sky high, and only using your income. The legal way to do it through the department of education is if you are married they need your joint income, not just your income. The agents also adjust your income, so when you get re evaluated your income and family size are all off, and your low payment you have for the first year is going to sky rocket. Do not give them your personal information, including checking information. They hold onto all that information.

Review: I was called by Assisting America.org asking about consolidating my student loans. I told them that I wasn’t interested and was then told that they were part of the Department of Education trying to help students lower their student loans payments. They said that I would have to pay $699.00 to get started. Thinking that this $699.00 was going towards the loans to keep them out of default until the consolidation was completed I agreed. They told me that my payments would be $68.00 a month with consolidation. Still under the impression that they were helping me I said okay. The paperwork came and I read over it and saw that I had a out. When I found out that not only was the monthly payments were not as they had led me to believe, but they were charging me $699.00 for something that was free. I was still making payments on my loans also. When I told them that I cancelled the consolidation, the reply was that, they did the paperwork and they want their money. The payments were taken from my credit card under Mentor USA. They have gotten $466.00 out of me and I don’t think that I should have to pay because they were misrepresenting everything. If we can afford to throw away extra money, then we wouldn't need loans for college.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back, if not all, then most of it. I would like to let other people know about this company.

Response:

I was refunded all the money I had paid to this company and we ended our business on good terms. Thanks,[redacted]

This is a SCAM, they charge you 5 - 6 hundred dollars to simply switch your loans from one company to another. I went through this process with them and was told that my payments would go down by about half. After the consolidation was complete my payments are within 5 dollars of the original monthly from my old service provider.

I was referred to Assisting America by a co worker. I was very skeptical of the process as it was explained to me by [redacted]. It has now been almost 90 days since I began the process and I'm very glad that I did. I got the help I was looking for and am very thankful for all of their staff involved.

Thank you so much!!

After seeing an ad on Facebook for loan forgiveness if you attended university of Phoenix I decided to check it out. They make things sound good until they want money to process your claim. It was a ridiculous amount and they said the DOE required it for paperwork to approve your loan forgiveness. That was deff the red flag. The representative fooled me into giving my information so he could pull up my loan accounts. Using my info he made a fs aid pin up for me and asked me to check my email and give him the pin I had received. He gained access by doing this to all my personal information. Only after I got off the phone did I realize what had just happened. My only hope is that all my personal information will not be used for scamming.
