Illeagle credit reportingacct-XXXXXXXOriginal creditor harrington memorialDate opened 6/2008First date reported 08/2014overdue since 8/2014I have never been contacted by either original creditor or associated credit services for the above account, This item only appears 6 years after open date, with the overdue since date of 8/2014. There is also a payment listed for last month in the ammount of $10 7/2014. I only became aware of this account when it popped up o my credit report this month. How would I have paid $10 last month, I wouldt, and what account is overdue after 6 years. its called Re-Aging and its against the law.I dont think I need to explain the issues of Re-Aging a collections account, Or making false statements on somebodys credit report.I have been watching and repairing my credit for 8 years, why would I have let this go if there was contact to begin with? I wouldt have. There was no contact, The recording of a $10 payment is a lie, and the account if legitiment is 6 years overdue.Original creditor will recieve full payment 11/14/2014.Once you confirm my payment in full to original creditor Remove this entire item from my credit report immediately or I will seek representation to report to the proper agencies for further action.Desired Settlementcomplete removal from credit report, it is legaly slated for removal on 1/2015 anyway. If it remains, I will take further action.Business Response I just submitted a request for deletion to the credit bureaus through e-OSCAR.

Online credit card processing at www.[redacted].com were not processed correctly. No response to email.A payment in full were submitted online in March when first collection letter were received. By the way this is a surprise collection since I did not a bill from the utility company for a mere $75. Nevertheless, a payment in full were submitted online and a confirmation were received via email. See below for the payment confirmation. There were no follow up email or any collection letter from ACS or utility company. ACS acknowledge of faulty online credit card payment process at the time, and that they failed to follow up on a payment that did not post.Acknowledge of failure to response to customer question/demand.Business Response The initial credit card number input by [redacted] was incorrect. The payment therefore did not process. Our website issued a notification to him verifying the information he had provided. It did not say that the payment was successfully processed. However, it also did not inform him that the payment had failed to process. That glitch has long since been corrected.[redacted]'s complaint therefore is legitimate in that he was not informed his payment did not go through that day. He did later pay in full as he has indicated. Due to this, we have today requested that the account be totally removed from his credit report. Please be advised that such removal is completed by the actual credit bureau and could take up to 30 days to complete.

Was Told They would remove the CollectionI had recently vacated my apartment back in January of 2014 and received a collections notice from this company representing Connecticut Light and Power. Now I never received anything from the power company saying I owed a bill. But I got the letter from Assoc. Credit which I promptly paid. Now the gentlemen I spoke with said that it could be taken off my credit report but low and behold its still there. I want it removed because I paid my obligation and like I said I never got the bill from the power company telling me I owed them anything.Desired SettlementI would like the Collections removed from My credit history since it was not needed to be put on there in the first place. The power company never sent me a bill(that I got at the address above) Next time send a certified letter rather then normal postage.Business Response Mr. [redacted]'s bill was sent by his creditor to the address Mr. [redacted] left them with. They are not required to send the mail certified. It is Mr. [redacted]'s duty to ensure he receives and pays his final bill in a timely fashion. This was not done. For this reason the item cannot be removed from his credit history. However, then item was updated from charge-off to paid in full charge-off to properly indicate that even though his payment was late, the account has been fully satisfied.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I never got a bill from the other company simple as that. But you people sent the collections and I got it so what does that mean. Means that someone screwed up. Not me I paid the bill right over the phone once I was made aware that there was even an outstanding balance. So you destroyed my credit because of a clerical error? Look if I had KNOWN it wasn't paid why would I put my credit on the line I would've just paid the [redacted] bill. The collections should have been removed since it was AN ERROR not be doing it because I wanted to be that guy. I have never not paid a single bill. And your gonna just say its my duty to get it done in a timely fashion. How could I I never got the bill what else do you want from me. Its either remove the collections or I get in touch with both the AG and a couple of news outlets and really draw this out. Your choiceFinal Business Response ACS reports to credit bureaus under the direction of our clients. We can only delete from the bureaus under the same direction. On 2/5/15 we received instruction from our client to request the removal from Mr. [redacted]'s credit report. Accordingly, on 2/5/15, we requested removal if the item from Mr [redacted]'s credit. The reference # for this request (AUD#) is XXXXXXXX. The credit reports generally inform us to allow 30 days for processing of removal requests. This removal timing is not something ACS controls.

Complaint[redacted] provided to me were never billed properly to my address and never knew there was a bill until I found it on reportWhen I received medical services at [redacted] there was a $50 payment that I knew nothing about. It was sent as far as I know, directly to Associated Credit Services. It was paid and feel it should never been removed once it was paid because I didn't know about the bill. I've reached out to [redacted] and Associated credit services to remove it and they refuse.Desired SettlementI want this removed from all credit reports Experian, Transunion and EquifaxBusiness Response Associated Credit Services, Inc sent Mr. [redacted] a bill on 5/3/12. He had previously been billed directly by [redacted] After sending our initial bill, we attempted to reach Mr. [redacted] more than a dozen times via phone with no success. We sent another bill to Mr. [redacted] on 2/1/13 to the same address our initial notice was sent to. In response to that letter, Mr. [redacted] called our office on 2/4/13 and paid his bill in full.We take no position on whether or not an item should be removed from a consumers report. We report items to the bureau on behalf of creditors, and at their instruction. Likewise, we remove reported items on behalf of creditors, and at their instruction. We have received no such instruction from [redacted] Consumer Rebuttal (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)As this company claims that I responded to there letter on 2/4/13 is untrue. I called them on January after finding this on a credit report. Not any letter was received by them because they didn't have my address until I gave it to them so they could send me a bill so I could review it before paying it. Once I received the bill it was paid that day. This item should be removed at once from my credit report or I will seek monetary damages. Final Business Response We would be happy to have the item removed from Mr. [redacted]'s credit report if instructed to do so by our client [redacted] Mr [redacted] should contact them directly to make his case for removal. He may have them contact me directly to have the item removed.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I contacted [redacted] and a second time about this issue. Last time they were not cooperative. This time I spoke with someone that looked into this further and saw that the address had changed. She said that she would make all arraignments to have item removed from my report. I will close this complaint as satisfied and resolved in hopes that everything works out correctly.

ACS posted a collection account to all three CRAs regarding a balance that I had no knowledge of. ACS did not comply with 15 U.S.C. § 1681s.I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina in October 2014. My electric service account with [redacted] was closed with a final balance due that I was unaware of. Never received a statement or communication of any kind until I received a "credit alert" notifying me of a new collection account from Associated Credit Services (ACS) on behalf of [redacted] for $347.71. I contacted ACS made full payment and asked that the derogatory information be deleted. They refused claiming that the account could only be updated as paid. They further explained that only [redacted] can request the delete. I contacted [redacted] and spoke with [redacted], a recovery department manager, who informed me that a final bill notification was sent to my email address. I explained that I had to change my email address due to the move (orig was through my ISP) and that I never received the notification. [redacted] had informed me that under the terms of the paper free billing agreement that I agreed to it was my responsibility to inform them of an email address change. A forwarding address was supplied to the post office. Had they send me a physical bill or statement I would have received it and promptly paid.ACS received the account in November 2014 (according to [redacted] from [redacted] did not may any attempt to notify me about the balance but reported it to all three CRAs in June 2015. I became aware of the collection on August 3, 2015. ACS did finally send me a statement that I received on August 6, 2015 dated July 31, 2015. I filed a complaint with the CFPB and received a response from ACS stating that I "moved from his New Jersey service address and left no forwarding address information with [redacted] and left his bill unpaid" - implying that I "skipped out" without paying. My forwarding address was provided with the post office.I believe that [redacted] are in violation of the FCRA by posting derogatory information to my credit files about an account balance that I was completely unaware of. No opportunity was provided for me to satisfy the debt to avoid the collection account and after posting the collection account ACS failed to notify me in the time allotted under the FRCA.Desired SettlementCollection account REMOVED (not updated as paid) from Transunion, Equifax and Experian plus any other consumer reporting agencies.Business Response [redacted] placed Mr. [redacted]'s account for collection on 6/18/15. They provided his New Jersey address from where their mail had been returned, and a New Jersey phone number to reach him at. We tried the phone number multiple times between 6/18/15 and 7/29/15. On 7/29/15 we were informed the number was no longer correct to reach Mr. [redacted]. On 7/31/15 the account was reported to the credit bureaus. On 8/3/15 Mr. [redacted] called us and requested deletion from the bureaus. He was informed we could not delete without client instruction to do so, but that the account could be updated to paid in full if paid. Mr. [redacted] was upset with that answer and said he would call [redacted] directly. After calling [redacted] Mr. [redacted] called back and paid his bill in full.On 8/06/15 our client called to confirm he was now paid in full. On 8/07 our client called again and asked that Mr. [redacted] be sent a paid in full letter and that his bureau be manually updated to show as paid in full (normally updates are done on a monthly basis). On 8/07 Mr. [redacted] was mailed a paid in full letter and the bureaus were manually updated to reflect paid in full. Our client has never requested we remove the item from his bureau reports and we are therefore not authorized to do so.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)ACS states that [redacted] had mail sent to me returned to them. This is not true. I supplied the post office with a forwarding address and will attached a statement from another creditor that was successfully forwarded from my prior address as proof of this. ACS or [redacted] could have simply sent a statement to me through the US mail and I would have received it and paid it. I believe this is the normal procedure used by creditors in the US to notify a recipient of a debt. Neither [redacted] or ACS bothered to do this prior to placing the collection account in my credit files.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mail was not returned to the creditor because the creditor had never sent any. You imply this with the on-line billing comment. Did you know that I was a customer of your client for 8 years with an annual spend of over $4,500? Does it make sense that I would attempt to skip out on a $350 debt owed to them?ACS soft pulled my credit file, saw that I had reasonably good credit and decided the easiest way to collect would be to place the collection account in my file without bothering to contact me. Its not difficult to locate me - [redacted], [redacted] and like along with about 10 charities had no problems tracking me down.As for you being at your clients mercy about the deletion - I seriously doubt that. You placed the derog, you can remove it.Next step is the Massachusetts attorney general. I am not going to give up until you delete the account.Final Business Response Unfortunately, Mr [redacted]'s correspondence from another creditor is not evidence that his mail was not returned to this creditor. Furthermore, Mr. [redacted] apparently agreed to electronic billing. In doing so, his obligation to update his email address would apply, the same way a Post Office change is normally handled.Associated Credit Services, takes no position on whether or not the item should be removed from Mr. [redacted]'s credit file. As stated previously, we only report to the credit bureaus at the request of creditors, and can only delete accounts by the same authority. We would be happy to delete the file if instructed to do so by Mr. [redacted]'s creditor. We have recieved no such instruction.

ACSInc contacted me on behalf [redacted] I've info them bill is incorrect & need to dispute the charge they either state can't help or hang up on me.Early Nov. I received a phone from ACSInc on behalf of [redacted] once the agent stated the nature of the call I informed the representative that I just received the first ever invoices in the year in a half of doing business with Zephyrhills and that the charges were incorrect and needed to dispute them directly with the [redacted] the agent then told me she couldn't help me and these were the charges and I needed to pay the bill when I asked to speak a with her manager or supervisor she hung up on me. I had to call back go through the whole spiel again with the next agent and final transfer to a supervisor. I explained my situation to the supervisor who was very understanding he offered me discount of the pending balance and he would schedule a pick up for the equipment. I refused the discount and to have the equipment picked up by this third-party company. I thank him for the offer and stated that if my bill was corrected it would what I;m supposed to pay and I wanted [redacted] to arrange a pick up again since they never showed up to the first one I scheduled he agreed to have the account sent back to company but that never happened! I've received two more harassing phone very similar to my first experience ,explaining the error in bill ,agent aggressively getting me to pay the balance then speaking to a supervisor or manager stating that they're going to help me resolve this matter and nothing gets done. I'm about three pregnant and can't continue this pattern of frustratedly arguing with ACS Inc. it isn't healthy for me or my baby.Desired SettlementI would love to no longer receive harassing phone calls from Associated Credit Services Inc (ASC Inc.) and have my account transfer back to [redacted] so I can deal directly with them.Business Response I have coded your account as a dispute. You will not receive anymore calls. We did send you validation of this debt to you. When you receive it if you wish to go over the invoice, dispute charges, etc. I spoke with our Collection Manager, Jason Neel about your account and conversations you have had with our office. Please feel free to reach out to [redacted] He would be delighted to assist you.

I paid this company $412 in order to remove a debt from my credit related to a bill that I did not make for utilities.I have explained that I moved away from property. I left the state for a contract travel assignment for work on 11/5/2013. [redacted] was notified on 11/1/2015 but they conveniently lost the record of my call. The owner of the property will not remove it due to a unrelated dispute. The property was vacant but billing continued for four months after I vacated. I received a bill on 2/2014 and promptly notified [redacted] that there had been a mistake and requested service be disconnected. There was no previous balance due. I was told that there would be an investigation and I would receive a final bill minus the time I was away from property but I would be contacted by a supervisor if they needed my documents of proof. I never received any further correspondence. I restarted my credit monitoring service a few months ago and noticed that I had been referred for collection. I immediately called [redacted] to resolve matter but was informed that ASC was in full control of collections and they refused to accept a payment. The representative also suggested I file a dispute with the credit bureaus and explain the matter. and/or file a dispute with the credit bureau. I called ASC and explained the whole ordeal of moving and not being notified or aware of bill or collection efforts. I was told to call [redacted] to have matter corrected and/or dispute the inaccuracy with the credit bureaus. I explained that I was willing to pay debt to expedite the removal despite not owing bill, the ASC representative agreed and said I would get a receipt in mail but they could not put in writing that they would delete.I was told by [redacted] and Associated credit services to "call the credit bureau and challenge the debt". I did, [redacted] reports that ASC verified the debt was valid and that no payment had been made.I have a contract for employment with a start date 11/5/2013 in [redacted] on a remote Indian Reservation. It is not possible that I made the bill for utilities. Someone was residing at the residence. I am positive I called to disconnect service.Desired SettlementPlease remove this file from my credit as I was not properly notified of debt.Business Response Ms. [redacted] did not "pay us to have a debt removed from her credit report". No such service exists. We are a third party collection agent for her creditor. Her creditor decides if accounts are to be listed with the credit bureaus, and or removed. That is not our function. Our function is to report as directed by our client, and to update as is consistent with Ms. [redacted]'s payment history. I have personally reviewed the recording of the conversation we had with Ms. [redacted]. Our representative was polite and accurate. Ms. [redacted] confirmed that the address we had on file for her was correct. She did not receive our letter however as she was out of state, and apparently was not having her mail forwarded. Ms [redacted] wanted the account removed from her credit. Our rep informed her we could not remove it, but we would update it as paid upon clearance of her payment. Ms. [redacted] repeated that she wanted the item removed. We informed her she was welcome to speak to her creditor directly on that topic, as we do not have the authority to place or remove anything without their authority. The account is owed to them, not to us. We would be happy to review the recording with Ms. [redacted] if she would like to do so. She is still free to contact her creditor to discuss removal. If they direct us to remove the item, we will be more than happy to do so.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Associated Credit Services is clearly listed on my credit reports. ASC made the entry on behalf of [redacted] The account is owned by ASC per [redacted] As I stated, I was never allowed to validate or dispute the debt. This account was erroneously charged by original creditor. I need it removed from my credit. The proper procedure for notification and validation according to the fair credit reporting act. The response is unacceptable. ASC collected on a bad debt. They never validated the debt. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I appreciate your time and effort in this matter. Let me know when you hear back from [redacted] Final Business Response As promised, we asked our client for permission to delete this account from the credit bureau on 4/3/15. We received a response with authorization to remove the account late on 4/3/15. On 4/3/15 we sent a request to the bureaus to have this item completely removed per the instruction/authorization provided to us by [redacted] The corresponding request number is: AUD XXXXXXXX. Per the bureaus, removal can take up to 30 days. The timing of the removal is not under our control.

Payment arrangements made with ASC for past due electric bill. ASC apparently sells my account to [redacted] NEVER notified of this from [redacted] or [redacted] bill for $655.16. I was paying [redacted] $50 per month. I could not afford to continue paying $50 as I was injured and could not work, had no income and could not pay any bills at the time. They would not take lesser amount. They sent this to ASC and payment arrangements made with ASC 10.2014. Account #XXXXXXXX. I could only afford $10 per month deducted from my check account. I was told by ASC that this was not going to be reported to credit bureau. At that time I still was unable to work and was receiving disability payments. Disability barely covered my living arrangements and other bills. I am single parent and supporting 2 children in college. I am helping them with expenses. My savings has been exhausted. In February of 2015 I received call from ASC offering one time payment of $213.00. The total at that time was $425.16. This offer was available until May 2015. I told representative that I could not afford to pay that amount at that time but I might be able to pay before May of 2015. Payment arrangement was to continue at $10 per month for the next 6 months. ASC would then re-evaluate the amount due and we would proceed with payments that I could afford. ASC was to notify me in July, 2015. I NEVER received notice or phone call from ASC. This account was apparently passed to [redacted] in April, 2015. I was NEVER notified by ASC that my account was passed to [redacted] I checked my credit report on 7.31.15 and saw derogatory mark for default made by [redacted] This was devastating to me as I have struggled to raise my credit score for the past 10 years. I had no idea who [redacted] was and called this company. The supervisor [redacted] was rude, intrusive, abusive, inappropriate, made derogatory remarks to me, and constantly interrupted me. [redacted] said they sent notice to address in [redacted] I moved 3.2014 to ** and changed my address with post office. [redacted] was notified of address change. ASC had my address in [redacted]I NEVER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM [redacted] REGARDS THIS ACCOUNT. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PHONE CALLS OR MESSAGES FROM [redacted] I NEVER RECEIVED NOTICE FROM ASC THAT THIS ACCOUNT WAS TRANSFERRED TO [redacted] FOR COLLECTION. [redacted] has reported me to credit bureau because I have not paid this bill. How could I pay this bill to [redacted] when I NEVER received notification that they were collecting balance???This has affected my credit score and this has significantly jeopardized my financial picture. I am livid about this matter.I have not been able to pay this bill in full because of significant medical issues and am on a disability income at this time.Desired SettlementI would like an explanation regards these issues stated above. ASC never contacted me as agreed. Why was my account given to [redacted]Who is responsible for failure to notify me?Who dropped the ball??[redacted] failed to send me notification. Why did they not have my current address that I have resided at since 3.2014??This has significantly damaged my credit report.I want this damage undone.Business Response ACS does not own the debt, and we therefore neither sold it nor assigned to any other third party. The account was originally placed with us by [redacted] on 10/7/14 with a balance due of 455.16. As noted by Mrs. [redacted], we did everything possible to accommodate her, including approving a $10 per month payment plan. Unfortunately, [redacted] recalled the account from our organization on 4/7/15 and we were subsequently unable to assist Mrs. [redacted] any further. We have no idea what [redacted] may have done with Mrs' [redacted]'s account after recalling it on 4/06/15 and therefore recommend that she reach out directly to [redacted]
