ACSInc contacted me on behalf [redacted] I've info them bill is incorrect & need to dispute the charge they either state can't help or hang up on me.Early Nov. I received a phone from ACSInc on behalf of [redacted] once the agent stated the nature of the call I informed the representative that I just received the first ever invoices in the year in a half of doing business with Zephyrhills and that the charges were incorrect and needed to dispute them directly with the [redacted] the agent then told me she couldn't help me and these were the charges and I needed to pay the bill when I asked to speak a with her manager or supervisor she hung up on me. I had to call back go through the whole spiel again with the next agent and final transfer to a supervisor. I explained my situation to the supervisor who was very understanding he offered me discount of the pending balance and he would schedule a pick up for the equipment. I refused the discount and to have the equipment picked up by this third-party company. I thank him for the offer and stated that if my bill was corrected it would what I;m supposed to pay and I wanted [redacted] to arrange a pick up again since they never showed up to the first one I scheduled he agreed to have the account sent back to company but that never happened! I've received two more harassing phone very similar to my first experience ,explaining the error in bill ,agent aggressively getting me to pay the balance then speaking to a supervisor or manager stating that they're going to help me resolve this matter and nothing gets done. I'm about three pregnant and can't continue this pattern of frustratedly arguing with ACS Inc. it isn't healthy for me or my baby.Desired SettlementI would love to no longer receive harassing phone calls from Associated Credit Services Inc (ASC Inc.) and have my account transfer back to [redacted] so I can deal directly with them.Business Response I have coded your account as a dispute. You will not receive anymore calls. We did send you validation of this debt to you. When you receive it if you wish to go over the invoice, dispute charges, etc. I spoke with our Collection Manager, Jason Neel about your account and conversations you have had with our office. Please feel free to reach out to [redacted] He would be delighted to assist you.

Collection agency involved in collecting debt for [redacted], promised to remove from credit history, paid off in full, never removed from history7/7/2010 $880.00 [redacted] bill that was paid immediately in full. They promised to remove from my credit history but never did.Desired SettlementThat they remove this entry from my credit reportBusiness Response Good afternoon,We have never had any discussion with the consumer in regards to this account. It was placed with our office for collection. However, he paid our client directly.Only when directed by our client can we delete an item from someone's credit report. We have not yet received any such instruction.Thank youConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They acknowledged it was paid as soon as I became aware of it and still will not remove it from my credit record. This bill was for a rental property that I owned and then sold. This bill should have been sent to me online with the account I had with [redacted] but instead they started a new account and never contacted me for payment although I was charged a fee on the other account that was paid. [redacted] is no longer in business so I cannot even contact them reference this incident. Final Business Response We have submitted a deletion to the credit bureaus through [redacted]. This is the conformation # which is called an AUD # XXXXXXXX.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The item on my credit is an Associated Credit Services, Inc entry and not a [redacted] or [redacted]. I am tired of this company claiming they cannot remove their own entries and using the excuse that they need someone else's approval to remove. Then get their approval, I do not care. This was a [redacted] mistake for not billing me at the appropriate online account and they admitted that. I reject their claim they cannot remove it, they certainly can and if they say they need [redacted] or [redacted] permission to do so then they need to get that permission. It is totally ridiculous of them to claim otherwise.

I paid this company $412 in order to remove a debt from my credit related to a bill that I did not make for utilities.I have explained that I moved away from property. I left the state for a contract travel assignment for work on 11/5/2013. [redacted] was notified on 11/1/2015 but they conveniently lost the record of my call. The owner of the property will not remove it due to a unrelated dispute. The property was vacant but billing continued for four months after I vacated. I received a bill on 2/2014 and promptly notified [redacted] that there had been a mistake and requested service be disconnected. There was no previous balance due. I was told that there would be an investigation and I would receive a final bill minus the time I was away from property but I would be contacted by a supervisor if they needed my documents of proof. I never received any further correspondence. I restarted my credit monitoring service a few months ago and noticed that I had been referred for collection. I immediately called [redacted] to resolve matter but was informed that ASC was in full control of collections and they refused to accept a payment. The representative also suggested I file a dispute with the credit bureaus and explain the matter. and/or file a dispute with the credit bureau. I called ASC and explained the whole ordeal of moving and not being notified or aware of bill or collection efforts. I was told to call [redacted] to have matter corrected and/or dispute the inaccuracy with the credit bureaus. I explained that I was willing to pay debt to expedite the removal despite not owing bill, the ASC representative agreed and said I would get a receipt in mail but they could not put in writing that they would delete.I was told by [redacted] and Associated credit services to "call the credit bureau and challenge the debt". I did, [redacted] reports that ASC verified the debt was valid and that no payment had been made.I have a contract for employment with a start date 11/5/2013 in [redacted] on a remote Indian Reservation. It is not possible that I made the bill for utilities. Someone was residing at the residence. I am positive I called to disconnect service.Desired SettlementPlease remove this file from my credit as I was not properly notified of debt.Business Response Ms. [redacted] did not "pay us to have a debt removed from her credit report". No such service exists. We are a third party collection agent for her creditor. Her creditor decides if accounts are to be listed with the credit bureaus, and or removed. That is not our function. Our function is to report as directed by our client, and to update as is consistent with Ms. [redacted]'s payment history. I have personally reviewed the recording of the conversation we had with Ms. [redacted]. Our representative was polite and accurate. Ms. [redacted] confirmed that the address we had on file for her was correct. She did not receive our letter however as she was out of state, and apparently was not having her mail forwarded. Ms [redacted] wanted the account removed from her credit. Our rep informed her we could not remove it, but we would update it as paid upon clearance of her payment. Ms. [redacted] repeated that she wanted the item removed. We informed her she was welcome to speak to her creditor directly on that topic, as we do not have the authority to place or remove anything without their authority. The account is owed to them, not to us. We would be happy to review the recording with Ms. [redacted] if she would like to do so. She is still free to contact her creditor to discuss removal. If they direct us to remove the item, we will be more than happy to do so.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Associated Credit Services is clearly listed on my credit reports. ASC made the entry on behalf of [redacted] The account is owned by ASC per [redacted] As I stated, I was never allowed to validate or dispute the debt. This account was erroneously charged by original creditor. I need it removed from my credit. The proper procedure for notification and validation according to the fair credit reporting act. The response is unacceptable. ASC collected on a bad debt. They never validated the debt. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I appreciate your time and effort in this matter. Let me know when you hear back from [redacted] Final Business Response As promised, we asked our client for permission to delete this account from the credit bureau on 4/3/15. We received a response with authorization to remove the account late on 4/3/15. On 4/3/15 we sent a request to the bureaus to have this item completely removed per the instruction/authorization provided to us by [redacted] The corresponding request number is: AUD XXXXXXXX. Per the bureaus, removal can take up to 30 days. The timing of the removal is not under our control.

Was Told They would remove the CollectionI had recently vacated my apartment back in January of 2014 and received a collections notice from this company representing Connecticut Light and Power. Now I never received anything from the power company saying I owed a bill. But I got the letter from Assoc. Credit which I promptly paid. Now the gentlemen I spoke with said that it could be taken off my credit report but low and behold its still there. I want it removed because I paid my obligation and like I said I never got the bill from the power company telling me I owed them anything.Desired SettlementI would like the Collections removed from My credit history since it was not needed to be put on there in the first place. The power company never sent me a bill(that I got at the address above) Next time send a certified letter rather then normal postage.Business Response Mr. [redacted]'s bill was sent by his creditor to the address Mr. [redacted] left them with. They are not required to send the mail certified. It is Mr. [redacted]'s duty to ensure he receives and pays his final bill in a timely fashion. This was not done. For this reason the item cannot be removed from his credit history. However, then item was updated from charge-off to paid in full charge-off to properly indicate that even though his payment was late, the account has been fully satisfied.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I never got a bill from the other company simple as that. But you people sent the collections and I got it so what does that mean. Means that someone screwed up. Not me I paid the bill right over the phone once I was made aware that there was even an outstanding balance. So you destroyed my credit because of a clerical error? Look if I had KNOWN it wasn't paid why would I put my credit on the line I would've just paid the [redacted] bill. The collections should have been removed since it was AN ERROR not be doing it because I wanted to be that guy. I have never not paid a single bill. And your gonna just say its my duty to get it done in a timely fashion. How could I I never got the bill what else do you want from me. Its either remove the collections or I get in touch with both the AG and a couple of news outlets and really draw this out. Your choiceFinal Business Response ACS reports to credit bureaus under the direction of our clients. We can only delete from the bureaus under the same direction. On 2/5/15 we received instruction from our client to request the removal from Mr. [redacted]'s credit report. Accordingly, on 2/5/15, we requested removal if the item from Mr [redacted]'s credit. The reference # for this request (AUD#) is XXXXXXXX. The credit reports generally inform us to allow 30 days for processing of removal requests. This removal timing is not something ACS controls.

Payment arrangements made with ASC for past due electric bill. ASC apparently sells my account to [redacted] NEVER notified of this from [redacted] or [redacted] bill for $655.16. I was paying [redacted] $50 per month. I could not afford to continue paying $50 as I was injured and could not work, had no income and could not pay any bills at the time. They would not take lesser amount. They sent this to ASC and payment arrangements made with ASC 10.2014. Account #XXXXXXXX. I could only afford $10 per month deducted from my check account. I was told by ASC that this was not going to be reported to credit bureau. At that time I still was unable to work and was receiving disability payments. Disability barely covered my living arrangements and other bills. I am single parent and supporting 2 children in college. I am helping them with expenses. My savings has been exhausted. In February of 2015 I received call from ASC offering one time payment of $213.00. The total at that time was $425.16. This offer was available until May 2015. I told representative that I could not afford to pay that amount at that time but I might be able to pay before May of 2015. Payment arrangement was to continue at $10 per month for the next 6 months. ASC would then re-evaluate the amount due and we would proceed with payments that I could afford. ASC was to notify me in July, 2015. I NEVER received notice or phone call from ASC. This account was apparently passed to [redacted] in April, 2015. I was NEVER notified by ASC that my account was passed to [redacted] I checked my credit report on 7.31.15 and saw derogatory mark for default made by [redacted] This was devastating to me as I have struggled to raise my credit score for the past 10 years. I had no idea who [redacted] was and called this company. The supervisor [redacted] was rude, intrusive, abusive, inappropriate, made derogatory remarks to me, and constantly interrupted me. [redacted] said they sent notice to address in [redacted] I moved 3.2014 to ** and changed my address with post office. [redacted] was notified of address change. ASC had my address in [redacted]I NEVER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM [redacted] REGARDS THIS ACCOUNT. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PHONE CALLS OR MESSAGES FROM [redacted] I NEVER RECEIVED NOTICE FROM ASC THAT THIS ACCOUNT WAS TRANSFERRED TO [redacted] FOR COLLECTION. [redacted] has reported me to credit bureau because I have not paid this bill. I am livid about this matter.I have not been able to pay this bill in full because of significant medical issues and am on a disability income at this time.Desired SettlementI would like an explanation regards these issues stated above. ASC never contacted me as agreed. Why was my account given to [redacted]Who is responsible for failure to notify me?Who dropped the ball??[redacted] failed to send me notification. Why did they not have my current address that I have resided at since 3.2014??This has significantly damaged my credit report.I want this damage undone.Business Response ACS does not own the debt, and we therefore neither sold it nor assigned to any other third party. The account was originally placed with us by [redacted] on 10/7/14 with a balance due of 455.16. As noted by Mrs. [redacted], we did everything possible to accommodate her, including approving a $10 per month payment plan. Unfortunately, [redacted] recalled the account from our organization on 4/7/15 and we were subsequently unable to assist Mrs. [redacted] any further.
