We have met with customer, inspected vehicle, determined there was no damageContacted *** ( an environmental services company) to go clean up oilWe have informed our insurance carrier in the unlikely event some issue arises in the future that would be directly related to the oil leak.Thank you, *** ***

Kia of Greenville is a consumer of sorts with all credit reporting agencies; we subscribe to the service to obtain credit reports onlySince we are not a lender, we do not report any credit information to any credit agencyThus we cannot have anything removed from anyones credit fileFurthermore,
the credit application this customer completed clearly and conspicuously states that we may send to multiple banks/lenders to assist customer with obtaining acceptable credit/rates/termThe customer consented to such at the time.We did not deceive this customer in any fashion and unfortunately we are unable to remove any inquiries from any credit reporting agency.Thank you, *** ***

Thank you for sending this to my attentionWe desire that this customer be very happy with her purchaseI think this is a simple misunderstanding of the paperworkI have asked our manager *** *** top reach out again and meet with customer and see if we cannot alleviate her concernsI am
sure we can resolve this *** ***

A manager has already spoken with this customerWe consider the matter resolved

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
The finance manager specifically told me that he would send a letter to the credit bureaus to remove the inquiries. He said he would copy me on the letters, and he would include a copy of my credit report. I had a feeling this would not happen, and he was deliberately deceiving me to get me off the phone, and based on the response from Kia, my feelings have been confirmed. Again, I specifically told ***, to only pull my credit with Kia Finance. He assured me three times that he would do that. He said that I had to sign the application, however, to have it pulled with the one lender. I signed it, and again told him that I was only authorizing ONE credit inquiry with Kia Finance only. He reassured me again, that my information would be sent to Kia Finance only. I had no choice but to sign the application, as they didn't provide an
alternative application authorizing one pull. They didn't make
accommodations for my request, so a verbal agreement was made between
myself and ***, the salesman. It is completely unacceptable for Kia to override my request. There was no other loan application made available to me that allowed for one credit inquiry only, and they assured me that only one credit pull would happen. What they did was deceptive. They mislead me through intentionally statements or fraudulent actions. I would like for Kia to send letters to each lender that I didn't
authorize a credit pull with and have them remove their inquiries. The
only reason they pulled my credit was because Kia of Greenville asked
them to, so this should not be a problem. Kia needs to explain to them
that they sent my information in error, and that the customer didn't
authorize the requestRegards,

IT WAS EXPLAINED TO THE CUSTOMER THAT THE ISSUE AT HAND WAS A DIFFICULT ONE TO DIAGNOSE AND THAT IT MAY IN FACT REQUIRE MULTIPLE COMPONENTS AND WOULD BE A TIME CONSUMING EFFORTIT WAS NOT A MATTER OF HOOKING UP A CAN CODE TOOL AND IT PRINTING OUT A DIAGNOSIS.WE HAD TO CONTACT KIA *** *** TECH LINE AND SPEAK WITH ADVISORTHEY INFORMED US OF THE STEPS NEEDED TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIRUNFORTUNATELY, WITH ELECTRICAL ISSUES, IT MAY TAKE MULTIPLE PARTS TO PROPERLY CORRECTTHE CUSTOMER WAS EXPLAINED THIS AND WAS KEPT ABREAST OF THE SITUATION

While I appreciate *** *** concerns, we simply do not have the authority to have anything removed from a credit bureauFurthermore, I am not even sure that the inquiries themselves would even have the kind of impact she is describingI found this off the Fair Isaacs website"myfico.com"...Credit Checks & InquiriesWill my FICO Scores drop if I apply for new credit? If your FICO Scores change, they probably won't drop muchIf you apply for several credit cards within a short period of time, multiple inquiries will appear on your reportLooking for new credit can equate with higher risk, but most Credit Scores are not affected by multiple inquiries from auto, mortgage or student loan lenders within a short period of timeTypically, these are treated as a single inquiry and will have little impact on your credit scores.Hopefully this alleviates her concernsWe will be glad to continue to assist with helping her obtain a loan, however, often times we must shop around to find the terms the customer desires.Sincerely, *** ***

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention. We will reach out to [redacted]

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention.Kia of Greenville does not finance automobiles; we are not a lender. We simply provide a service to consumers who wish to purchase a vehicle from us and we submit customer information to certain third party lenders. These lenders make the credit...

decisions and they base it on a variety of factors such as time on job, credit score, income, debt to income, and the loan to value ratio of the vehicle the customer wishes to purchase. The customer is not required to use our services and is able to obtain their own source of funds or financing in order to purchase the vehicle. Again, we provide this service for folks seeking to purchase a vehicle from us; we have no way to provide "re-financing" for individuals. The mechanism to perform such an endeavor simply does not exist within our organization. Therefore, we emphatically deny making any such statements. This customer is free however, to seek refinancing with their own bank or credit union and perhaps that would allow them to obtain a lower rate or payment, etc, etc..  Thank you,  Sincerely,  [redacted]

Revdex.com:
Thank you for your response.  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  The finance manger of Kia of Greenville told me that Kia would send letters to have the
inquiries removed.  I didn't ask them to do that.  They recommend it, in what I thought was, good faith to address the issues below: Not providing an application that granted authorization for a single lender credit inquiry Deceptive sales practicesProviding my information to outside lenders after I made verbal requests not to do soDeliberately providing false information (assuring me that only one lender would receive my credit information) in an effort to make a sale    My score will be impacted as mentioned below:   Does an Inquiry Affect Your Credit Score?
Credit inquiries are bad because too many of them can indicate to a
creditor that you're "credit hungry" and may be in financial trouble.Worse yet, the creditor has reason to believe that you received many
of the credit lines that are showing as inquiries, and that many of
those credit lines have not yet appeared on your credit report.Too many recent inquiries indicate to a potential credit grantor that your debt-to-income ratio may be much higher than you say.So rather than trying to justify my concerns by ensuring me that my score will be minimally impacted, I would like for you to do what you offered in the beginning: contact each credit bureau and remove the hard inquires as they were fraudulently originated by your organization.   The Fair Credit Reporting Act has ordinances that bring liability to corporations for deceptive practices as this.

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention and allowing me to respond.Under the terms of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) anytime an offer for credit is made and the consumer either does not qualify or the offer for credit is conditioned in some fashion and the consumer rejects the...

terms of the offer for credit (and a lease is considered credit), the company is required to send what is called an "Adverse Action Notice". That is all we have done here with this consumer; we have sent and Adverse Action letter as required by law to notify the consumer. Many consumers think that somehow this notice is reported to the credit bureau or has some impact on their credit score; that is not true. In fact, Kia of Greenville does not report anything to any credit reporting agency as we are a purchaser of credit information, not a provider of such.It is my understanding that all this was explained to this customer and on several occasions. Hopefully my explanation will resolve this matter. In any event, we have done what we are required to do. Sincerely,  [redacted]

We are more than willing to stand behind our work. If we made such a mistake as described (oil leak) then we will stand behind our work. The vehicle will need to be brought to our facility for analysis and we will make any necessary repairs should we determine we are at fault somehow. Please note,...

that a vehicle with no oil plug and no oil would not operate 38 miles - it would seize the engine well before 38 miles. While I understand the customer's frustration, when he called us we immediately dispatched someone to pick up the vehicle, we did not shirk any responsibility. Calling us liars and thieves does nothing to solve his concerns, nor does it create a spirit of cooperation. If they want the vehicle evaluated and possibly repaired, then we will need to have access to the car at our facility, and ours only. [redacted]

Good morning Cindi,I met with Ms. [redacted] yesterday at Kia of Greer. We addressed her concerns and re-performed her services that she had performed at Kia of Greenville. Ms. [redacted] told me she was very satisified with her visit and she met with our Service Manager Mark T[redacted] as well. She...

stated she trusted him and felt very comfortable.I advised customer she had my direct cell if she needed anything to please give me a call. Please let me know if anything further is needed?Regards,

Regards,
[redacted] First of all, they did forget to tighten the oil plug, and I have oil in my driveway and then there is the oil at my work. Service Manager [redacted] made threats to my wife, by saying if I did not accept his terms he would not leave me a car to drive home at 2.00am. [redacted] was very ugly and rude to my wife. [redacted] stated my wife did not know what she was talking about when she stated there could be engine damage to the vehicle, after driving it 38.4 miles to work. Whne my wife stated she worked as a mechanic for 15 years [redacted] then refused to communicate with her anymore because he knew at this point she knew what she was talking about. My place of employment contacted me today asking that I ask Kia of Greenville to come to their property and get the oil up out of their parking lot, I called [redacted] he assured me he was sending someone to take care of that "right now". No one from Kia of Greenville ever showed up at [redacted], as [redacted] had assured me they would. This is typical of their assurance which to me is a lie. I call it as I see it. Then [redacted] calls me today telling me they are going to bring my car to me at NIGHT to [redacted]. I told [redacted] No thanks I prefer to come to Kia in the day time and check my car out before it leaves the parking lot so I can see for myself in the daylight that my vehicle has been repaired and all the oil off. [redacted] didn't like that idea. Plus I want to be able not only to check my vehicle out before it leaves kia, I want a detailed report of what they did, and a statement that they put my car on the computer and ran a check to make sure there is no engine damage. Then we are taking my car directly from Kia of Greenville to another independent dealership to have a second opinion. We don't want the vehicle taken 38.4 miles to my work, then me drive it another 38.4 miles home at 2.00am only to find out it wasn't fixed. This dealership must have a lot to hide if they want me to take /accept my vehicle in the dark after they have driven it 38.4 miles. Maybe so they can say I damaged it on the way home? Also I contacted another Kia dealership and they told me IT IS QUITE POSSIBLE that the engine was damaged , so Guess different dealerships have different opinions, some are honest and some are dishonest.  After [redacted] treated my wife so rude, and then tried to force me to take my vehicle back at night, what are they trying to hide. No I do not accept and it is a lie that Kia of Greenville has done what they said they would do, and yes [redacted] admitted to my husband and his co-workers they messed up.

Regards,
[redacted] While they did re service the Kia soul. Statements made by Service Manager [redacted] on the print out of services they did to repair the problem caused by their service tech, their employee, is NOT entirely true. My driveway has a huge puddle and drips all the way out the driveway. While I agree there had to be a little oil left in the engine, I do not agree they have done everything one would expect as a customer. First of all we paid for an oil change and service. .What we got was an unsatisfactory and very poor job of servicing our vehicle and carelessness and poor quality of the Tech doing the job. I sent the Revdex.com the items and services the Tech tried to sell us for our vehicle, and also copies of iinvoices when much of the services Kia said we needed had already been done last month, and they tried to tell us no we had not had these items fixed, one of which was a 4 wheel aligment. The tech was so fixed on using "scare" tactics that he forgot to tighten the oil plug which led to the issue with the oil dripping out of the vehicle ever since it left Kia of Greenville. Also when we contacted the service manager [redacted], he was rude, he made threats to my wife, he threatened to leave me stranded at my job at 2.00am UNLESS we did exactly as he said. Because of Kia of Greenville mistake, I lost time on my job, then they tried to force me to take possession of my vehicle at night when I could not inspect it and I was on my job. When a customer pays for a professional service, they expect to get a professional quality job, not one that you have to contact them the same day only to be talked to rude and have threats made to you because of THEIR mistakes. My wife had also requested to talk to the General Manager [redacted] and he refused her call twice. She had taked to another manager named [redacted] who contacted [redacted] , and [redacted] instructed her to call [redacted] he was waiting on her call which she did immediately and he refused her call. We have never been so insulted, so disgusted, and lied to, as we were with the management of Kia of Greenville. As [redacted] threw up in our face,HE AND HIS WIFE WERE EATING DINNER WHEN HE HAD TO BRING ME A VEHICLE TO DRIVE, WE SHOULD APPRECIATE HIM, WELL ON THE OTHER HAND, [redacted] SHOULD BE GRATEFUL OUR VEHICLE DID NOT RUN OUT OF IOL BEFORE I REACHED MY EMPLOYMENT, customers should NOT be treated in such a degrading manner, because the company made many mistakes.
