Thrifty rental vehicles. As business partner, we are able to address the tolls and administrative fees. We would advise to contact the Thrifty location directly in regard to request for rental credits. In regard to tolling, Thrifty Rent a Car offers PlatePass All-Inclusive as the tolling pass available for purchase with the rental. In the event that a toll is processed to the license plate without purchase of the toll pass, the renter is billed the toll amount plus a $15 administrative fee.  This is the rate stated on the standard Thrifty rental contract. We make every attempt to bill all tolls in a timely manner. Unfortunately, our process cannot begin nor complete until the Toll Authorities have finished processing the tolls to the vehicle. Our records indicate that we spoke with you on 07/18/2016 and an offer was extended to honor the original rate of the toll pass, $52.49. PlatePass All-Inclusive pass is a flat rate tolling service that covers all tolls during the rental regardless of when reported. Acceptance of this pass would cease any further charges, reduce, and refund the difference of $26.89. As we value you as a renter, we can offer a one time courtesy reduction of 50% of the administrative fees. This would reduce and refund $37.50 to the card charged. The caveat of this offer is that it does not cease billing if further tolls were reported. We apologize for any frustration with this process and look forward to your response regarding the offers above. It is our hope that you find this matter to be resolved. citation [redacted] occurred.  The date of this citation was 11/23/2013, allowing you over 2 months to pay the ticket before ATS was ever made aware of it.  On 02/10/2014, the City of Pasadena mailed a notice of the unpaid citation and was received by ATS on 02/20/2014.  This notice has been attached for your review.  As a onetime courtesy, we have agreed to waive the $25.00 administrative fee after verifying that the ticket is currently paid in full.  Please allow up to 5 business days for this to appear on your account.  For future reference you may refer to your rental agreement stating you accept responsibility for any fines and fees incurred during your rental period.

ATS pays ticket violations on behalf of Avis Rental Company. The problem is they pay the fine with the Issuing Authority before notifying the renter. I was unable to dispute the ticket from the Issuing Authority because the fine was already paid by ATS. The $30 "Administration Fee" for a $100 bogus ticket is absurd. This company is a wasteful middleman that should not be in business.

initially spoke with you on 07/21/2016 regarding the [redacted]® service charge. We show that a courtesy adjustment was made for $19.80, reducing our fees to one day of use, $4.95. The refund was issued on 07/22/2016 and receipt was verified by your banking institution as of 07/24/2016. The toll from the Golden Gate Bridge was reported via the license plate from the Bay Area Toll Authority. As the plate is registered with [redacted]®, no violations were incurred. This charge from the Toll Authority is what activated the [redacted]® service for your rental. More information regarding the [redacted]® service and billing process can be located on page 3 of the standard rental contract. As we value you as a renter, we have removed the remaining $4.95 in administrative fees as a one- time courtesy. The toll amount for the Golden Gate Bridge, $7.25, can also be adjusted with the submission of a receipt indicating payment for the crossing of the bridge.
