The business advertised an unlocked new [redacted] phone ( [redacted] ) for CAD $(+ [redacted] + Tax) which I purchased on Feb via my [redacted] (Invoice# [redacted] ) and was delivered to me on Feb When I went to a mobile shop to enter my SIM and purchase a cover and glass screen for the phone, the technician there said, unfortunately this was a phone that only worked with a CDMA network which was not supported by any phone company within Canada Only GSM network phones are supported so basically its useless here and that I had been cheated by the seller I went back to the sellers website to see their return policy and sure enough it stated, "Returns are accepted when the item/lot is not as described (defective, missing parts, incomplete, has an issue not mentioned or not authentic) AND the item is returned to us within that day period." I was relieved but still went over their advertisement and the product listing page just to make sure I had not

Purchase date : 11/30/ Item: laptop Price: 468.95(after taxes) Paid by debit card Laptop started overheating after hours of use and shuts offInstead of refunding the money (as listed in day warranty policy) they are holding the laptop to run tests to see if there is an issue and won't return the moneyI just want a refund and no longer want productIf they said that in the return policy that they will test to confirm issues, I would understand but it is not listed anywhere on thier website or in storeAny major business that deals with returns of electronics does not make you wait hours to confirm and return moneyIt's a waste of my time and it is not listed in their policies

I bid x camera cases in auctionmaxx at CADand found the item is too smallI cannot refund or exchangeOnly option I have is to re-consignment the itemWhen the item is on bid, I found the bid price is CAD19, which I think I may as well buy back myself and submit a bid for around CAD to cut lostWhen I submit the bid that day, I am not aware that I cannot do this The site send me an email next day "t has come to our attention that you have been bidding on your own consignment itemsAs stated in our terms and conditions, consignors & known associates are forbidden to place bids on any of their own items As a result of the occurrence, the user will be immediately banned from consigning items and as well from the entire Auctionmaxx site." Unfortunately I also bid another item ( [redacted] sunglass CAD) that day, since they cancel my membership, they don't allow me to pay and get the item, instead they email "You are still responsible to pay for the auction by payme

I purchased a tankless water heater and received a unit that can't be installed in our country Interesting who gave this company a H-vac license?
After I went to return the unit and complained I'm now blocked out from my account!

I had won a winning item and did not get around to picking and purchasing it on the Saturday as I had to stay home with my baby
I then saw an email for the item that I was charged for shipping when I did not authorize the item to be shipped as I live very close to the location
I replied back and said that they should credit me for the shipping fee due to the reason mentioned above and I have always paid them in the past with no issues and/or they have charged my credit card for the item and I then later picked it up
I then saw a credit on my credit card and thanked them but the value did not align with the shipment
I followed up on the purchased item which I never received and they said that I rejected the shipment from the courier This was completely as they have canceled the shipment and had it returned back to them
I later found out that they credited me only a portion of the purchase price and shipping and now I have not item and have also been removed f

today I purchased (among others) NEW ** BATTERY 12V BATTERIES-
http://www.auctionmaxx.com/Listing/Details/XXXXXXXX/3-NEW-**-BATTERY-12V-BATTERI... /> the items weren't new as claimed in listingThey had stabs (not visible on pictures when bidding on the item) indicating they were pulled out of a UPS unitsalso, one of the batteries had a piece of a double edge tape stuck on it No New battery would come like that from a manufacturerAll the batteries were showing obvious sighs of usage After attempting to replace my existing dying batteries (same type ***) the UPS unit started beeping and indication that batteries are deadI immediately brought the batteries back to Auctionmaxx, and their "technician", I use this term loosely, insisted, these are new batteries They treated me with no respect, and without any consideration sent me awayI refused to take back the batteries and left them with these *** people I will never shop @ Auctionmaxx again
Today

We purchased a washing machine for around And the machine was just a empty shell(meaning no electronics inside, would not even be worth 5$)THIS WAS NOT IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE SELLING ITEMI wanted this to be returned to the owner so this *** would not be sold to anyone elseBut they only gave the option to reconsign itIt's not good that only the company is benefiting from this and people will continue to be ***I've never had this happen before and I'm a customer since This may not even be the first time this happened it could have been a few times this item has been sold aroundSo I had it reconsign and they had me pay at the location and after I sold it again for $112(I felt guilty for the next buyer after all) they charged me again for dollars after the saleSo I just basically got dollars out of this, So I complained about this double charge and they refused to pay me backAnd they banned me from using their website*** ***

I really liked AuctionMaxx at first, I liked their apparent openness and honesty and I HAVE found some good deals, but those deals are getting fewer and further in between and I'm beginning to question their honesty
I don't even bother with the auction anymore as I am convinced it's a bit of a scamOn a few items I really wanted I had gotten in the last bid and thought I had "won" only to see that they extended the "deadline"This happened THREE times on the same item bid! What the *** is the point of having a deadline if you're not going to adhere to it??? Anyway, I gave up on the items AND on the auction all together after thatI figured they either have "bidder bots" or insiders bidding against you just to jack up the pricesNever again!
As for what I've bought, most of the items still work well, except I am having issues with the *** *** *** I bought as "New", so I would avoid those if you see them
***Yes they do have some good deals, and even the odd great deal, but a lot of the "deals" on AuctionMaxx can be found to be as good or better at regular retail stores with full warranties and better return policies
