Austin Appliance Reviews (31)

I have told the customer that the Inspection Sticker and Serial number on it may have very well been from a oven but it was from a different machine.  I also don't know how many times I have to explain that our establishment DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS!  I was willing to be more than helpful giving a partial refund to cover our installation time a what would be removal time of the unit.  I myself have pictures of the altercations the install guys had to do because we document this on every install.  I will give the $450 refund or I will send my Technician to come repair the oven at no expense to the customer.

Im not sure as to why my response is being rejected?  I did not state that refrigerator isn't able to be repaired, only did I state that having a hard time tracking down the correct replacement part for the unit.  Also at this point of time I have been brought to the understanding by my staff that the warranty was well over 5 months ago.  However I am still willing to help the customer out of pure kind gesture and help them repair the unit at our cost.  We want our customers to see us as somebody they can continue to come back to for future friendly business and help.  Thanks!

Ms.[redacted] I apologize about the delay in locating the correct part.  We just finished moving our warehouse that took almost 2 weeks and 7 men due to having to relocate over 1200 Appliances so if you called us and I didn't catch the message I totally apologize.  I hope you know I am...

totally not putting you off and trying to skim until the warranty lapses and I hope you know I'm not that kind of person and don't codify business in that fashion.  To prove this I am willing to send you a updated receipt with a warranty extension of a few months so it proves to you I'm not trying to do that.  I can even send this as a attachment through the Revdex.com portal for proof.  The issue that has occurred is that I originally could not find the correct part and after long research I finally found a online forum discussing someone that had the same rare occurrence.  I order the part from Amazon which took a couple weeks and upon receiving it was completely not the part the individual had advertised.  Then I went to go through Sears and Manufacturer and even though they said part was back ordered and I had to wait over a month I later received a email from Sears staying this part was discontinued from production.  At this point the only way I'll be able to track the correct part is find it refurbished online or until a 3rd party agent starts to manufacture it which generally always happens with time.  I'm extremely sorry for your troubles and ask you to please bare with us.  Thank you for your time!  [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:If the workers claimed to have taken 3 hours to do the installation, they are not telling the truth.  They arrived at my house at 1:50 and were done around 3:15.  I have documentation to prove this.  The cabinetry did not have to be altered, nor was the previous oven a "rare smaller size."  My husband, who worked in construction, measured it several times.  It was a standard, 30 inch oven. The new oven fit right into the existing space. The only problem with the installation was that the men had a hard time figuring out how to get the power cord to stay up against the back wall.  They considered cutting a piece out of the drywall in back, but did not end up needing to do this.In any case, the fact remains that this 2001 oven was represented as being two years old.  This falls under Section 17.46 of the Business Commerce Code, under Deceptive Trade Practices.  Because the oven was sold under false pretenses, the seller has an obligation to remove the appliance and refund my money.

I am rejecting this response because: You didn't read the email.  I bought the part.  It didn't fix the issue.  I had to buy another washer.  My refrigerator is still in the same predicament as when your delivery guys left it with me.  The option is for you to pick up the stuff and refund the total amount by Saturday August 9 at 5pm or we will use whatever means necessary to recover and be made whole again on Monday.

I am rejecting this response because:
What is ridiculous is that the seller sold me a 2001 oven that he claimed was two years old.  This is a fraudulent business deal and he has yet to address that fact.  Because this deal was based on deliberate misinformation, it is null and void. It is a pity that he had to pay his workers to deliver and install the oven and will be out of pocket for the costs, but he should never have committed fraud in the first place.  I demand a full refund of the $1200 that I paid for a non-working, 13-year-old oven.  If the seller continues to refuse to comply with the law, it will end up costing him far more.

I am rejecting this response because: I will let a judge figure this out.  I tried working with you and you made it impossible... You ignored 26 of my messages and phone calls... all documented.  I asked for the replacement and never received it.  You didn't stand by the replacement policy.
Regards,
[redacted]

Austin Appliance Response

We contacted customer by phone to resolve this issue. We gave a diagnosis of sealed system failure which consists of compressor which is in conjunction with the diagnosis of the next technician the customer used. We asked the customer what we could do to make him happy. We offered to give a full refund. Customer stated that everything is fine, he did not need a refund. We apologized for any misunderstanding.
